Chapter Ten: Barrage Round! Sniper Vs. Dogman!

Round Three Begins!

As you may, or may not, have noticed, we have an uneven amount of participants left, so, I have to do a barrage round to decide who will move to the next round. The match will be between the two who took the longest and had the hardest time getting to the next round, who are Usopp and Kiba.

Barrage Round:

Usopp (5) Vs. Kiba Inuzuka (19)

Round Three:

1. Roronoa Zoro (2) Vs. Usopp (5)/Edward Elric (11)

2. Edward Elric (11)/Natsu Dragneel (13) Vs. Natsu Dragneel (13)/ Kiba Inuzuka (19)

3. Naruto Uzumaki (23) Vs. Monkey D. Luffy (26)

As you can see, the winner of the barrage match decides all the other matches, so it's very important! Now, let's see who wins!

Everyone was patched up again and ready for the next battles.

Shikamaru looked at who was left in the little tournament. "You're uneven, so I guess we'll have to do a barrage match." He said. "Such a drag…"

"Then who's going to fight who?" Winry asked.

"Good question." Sakura agreed.

"It should be between the two who had the hardest time to beat their opponent last time." Nami suggested.

"That is a good idea, let's do that." Neji agreed as Tenten nodded in agreement while standing next to him.

Shikamaru nodded. "That is settled then, that means that the ones who will be fighting this barrage match will be Usopp and Kiba."

Kiba smirked. "Bring it on!" he spoke, exited for the next battle.

Usopp 'eeped' at this. He had to fight a match extra?!

"Let's get it over with right away." Shikamaru spoke up again and went back to stand in the middle of the grassy, but by now quite damaged, field.

Kiba and Usopp went to stand there, facing eachother. The latter was visibly shaking on his legs, but it only made sense, this guy had beaten Robin, how was he supposed to win?!

"Barrage Match: Usopp Vs. Kiba Inuzuka, begin!" Shikamaru called out and the two participants were ready to fight.

Shaking, Usopp held his slingshot in front of him and pulled the cord back, while Kiba smirked. "Scared?" the dog-boy asked him mockingly.

"I-I am n-n-not scared, I a-am the great C-Captain U-U-Usopp!" the sniper stuttered, still shaking on his legs.

Kiba chuckled. "Yeah right, and I'm a pink fluffy unicorn that dances on rainbows, now let's get this over with so I can get to the next round!" he exclaimed and ran towards his opponent, Akamaru following close behind. (Get the reference? XP)

Usopp started running. 'I'm definitely going to lose this!' he panicked in his head. 'A-and I don't want to win anyway, because if I would, I'd have to fight Zoro! That's crazy!'

"Come on, show me what you've got!" Kiba yelled from behind him.

Most of the Strawhats sweatdropped. "Chicken…" they mumbled in perfect sinc as their crewmate ran all over the field.

Usopp turned around once while running, almost falling on his back, and quickly shot a normal rock at Kiba, who dodged easily. When that didn't work, he screamed and ran into the village.

"He ran away…" the other Strawhats mumbled simultaneously.

"Hey, come back here!" the Leaf ninja shouted annoyed and followed him.

"No!" Usopp yelled back.

Shikamaru sweatdropped. 'Should I follow them?' he wondered in his head. He then shrugged and sat down. 'Nah, it's too much of a drag.' He then thought and took a cup of tea out of thin air and took a sip from it as he sat cross-legged on the green grass.

"Idiot!" Ino yelled.

"I don't care." Shikamaru spoke monotonely.

"But we do!"

"Such a drag…"

"You're a drag!" Ino countered.

"Whatever woman."

Ino let out an annoyed groan and facepalmed.

After a long time of sitting around, Kiba returned, carrying a knocked out Usopp over his shoulder. "I won." He said bluntly.

"Nice." Shikamaru commented flatly.

"Just what the hell happened?!" Ino yelled again.

"Jeez woman, does it matter?" Shikamaru reacted, putting his fingers in his ears, in hopes of blocking out some of the noise.

"It does!"

"Alright, alright…" The Nara mumbled annoyed and looked at Kiba as he stood next to him. "What happened?"

"I kept following him and hit him with my Fang over Fang, then he went KO right away."

"I see." Shikamaru said. "Congrats, you win." He spoke flatly.

"Idiots!" Ino yelled again.

"Shut up woman, I did it right now, didn't I?"

Ino huffed and turned away.

'I don't understand women…They're such a drag.' He concluded in his mind.

So, Usopp was patched up, unlike Kiba who didn't sustain any new injuries at all, and the matchups for the next round were decided.

1. Roronoa Zoro (2) Vs. Edward Elric (11)

2. Natsu Dragneel (13) Vs. Kiba Inuzuka (19)

3. Naruto Uzumaki (23) Vs. Monkey D. Luffy (26)

Zoro smirked. "Alright, it's my turn now."

"And mine too." Ed said as he stood up, also smirking.

Shikamaru finished his tea and stood up as the two participants of the next match were ready to begin. "Alright, round three, first match: Roronoa Zoro Vs. Edward Elric, begin." He announced, took a step back and sat down again, taking out another cup of tea, making Ino facepalm again.

"This match is going to be a good one." Zoro spoke and tied his bandana around his head before taking out his swords.

"I'm honored." Edward commented mockingly and made himself a spear using alchemy, taking it in his hand.

"Let's finish this one quickly, shall we shorty?"

That did it for Edward. "Don't call me short you mosshead!" he snapped and ran at the swordsman with his spear ready.

Zoro easily blocked the spear with his three swords when he reached him. Edward jumped up and tried to kick Zoro in the face while his arms were occupied, but Zoro bent his head back, making Ed's foot fly right over his face.

The two jumped back to be able to attack again. The Alchemist was still pissed from being called short and threw his spear at the Strawhat, who simply dodged it.

He then clapped his hands together and placed them on the ground, making a stone fist appear behind Zoro.

The Pirate Hunter turned around and blocked it with his katanas, but the stone fist kept pushing against him, and he tried to push back the best he could to prevent himself from getting squashed. "Dammit." He cursed under his breath and continued pushing.

Edward smirked and made another rock fist emerge from the ground to Zoro's right. "Shit." The swordsman uttered frustrated.

The fist flew forward and partially clashed with the other one, creating a cloud of dust.

Everyone shielded their eyes to prevent dust from getting into them as they waited for the dust to fade. When it did, they saw a pile of rocks and Edward facing it with a grin on his face. "Don't ever call me short again you bastard!"

Winry cheered. "Well done Ed!"

Shikamaru put down his tea and stood up to announce the winner, but when he opened his mouth, the rocks started moving.

Zoro got out from under the rocks and stood up. He had several bleeding wounds, but he didn't seem to care. He smirked and looked up to his opponent. "Heh, not bad kid."

"Oh, not done yet mosshead?"

"Glad you ask." The swordsman replied and ran towards the alchemist, his three swords ready.

"Go Zoro!" his crew cheered their comrade on.

Said person reached Edward and started cutting at him with his blades. Ed had no other choice but to keep dodging, but that was a difficult task because Zoro was fast, really fast.

The blonde had no time to use his alchemy, so he was in a real pinch.

Zoro continued cutting until eventually, he managed to cut his oponent's shoulder. Edward whinced, which created an opening for the first mate. He pushed the fullmetal alchemist to the ground with his right arm and pointed the sharp blade of Sandai Kitetsu at him. He smirked. "I win blondie."
