Stannis Baratheon was in his council room sulking ever since his defeat at Blackwater Bay. It cost him just about everything. He didn't want to speak to anyone since that day including his dearest friend Daavos. Everything he hoped for was a lie. The Lady Melisandre betrayed him in every way possible. She lied about him winning and taking over the throne, his son she bared, and most importantly the death of Rhaenyra Lannister. He wondered what else she was lying about. All he had to show was his men dead, his brother gone, and his arm was missing.

He looked down at his stump and banged his left fist on the carved table. "Curse that woman." He muttered.

"Your Grace." A guard came through the door.

Stannis looked over to one of his men. "What is it?" he asked rudely.

"The Lady Melisandre wishes to speak to you." He replied.

"Tell her I do not wish to see her." Stannis answered.

Melisandre walked into the council room. "That's no way to treat me." she said as the guard closed the door behind him. "The Lord of Light has come to me. Our work is not yet done. We need King's blood to fulfill his needs and I know just the thing." She said.

Stannis barely acknowledged her presence until she kneeled in front of him. "My King, you cannot give up so easily." She said as he looked at her with disgust.

"You have no idea. I've lost my men. MY WHOLE ARMY over some vision you claimed to have. You told me you saw VICTORY IN THE FLAMES! Where was your God when that bitch almost killed me?" he yelled.

"My God? He is also yours. In order to gain our victories there must be sacrifices. Your arm is one of them. In the years to come you will rule. I've seen it. Rhaenyra Lannister and her aunt will be gone. Nothing will destroy your claim to the Throne. You will rule better than any other King that seat has known." Melisandre said as she watched Stannis by the balcony. "You will bear a son, your only heir will be there learning from you." I've seen it. You have to have faith again." she said as she walked closer to him. She placed her hand on his shoulder.

"What other sacrifices does the Lord want?" he whispered.

Melisandre smirked knowing she convinced him. "There's a bastard, with your brother's blood running through his veins. He needs to be sacrifice in order to make you one step closer to the Iron Throne. And I know exactly where he will be at. All I need is a few guards with me." she replied.

"That's it? What of that Lannister bitch?" Stannis asked.

"The flames tell me she is to die within the next few days. There was too much bloodshed that the vision was still unclear. I see her fall with wounds on her chest. She will die fairly quickly with the Starks." She replied as Stannis quickly turned around. "Yes, Your Grace, once our sacrifice happens, the Starks will be dead along with Rhaenyra Lannister." She said.

"Good. This better stay true, or I will send you back from where I found you." He says.

Melisandre nods. "It will happen." She said and wrapped her arms around his neck with fear in her eyes.

Tywin walks into the throne room with two guards; he looks back at the guards signaling them to stop as he continues to walk towards Joffrey who was seated in the Iron Throne.

"Your Grace." Tywin greeted.

"Grandfather." Joffrey nodded.

"You wanted to speak with me?" Tywin asked.

"Yes. I'd like a report on the meetings of my Small Council." Joffrey stated.

"You're welcome to attend the meetings of your Small Council, Your Grace. Any or all of them." Tywin replied.

"I've been very busy. Many important matters require a King's attention" He said annoyed.

"Of course." Tywin dryly said.

Joffrey tapped his fingers on the arms of the throne. "You've been holding the council meetings in the tower of the hand instead of the small council chamber." He said

"I have, yes." Tywin replied

"May I ask why?" he questioned.

"Well the Tower of the Hand is where I work. To walk from there to here would take time, time I could otherwise spend productively." Tywin said.

"So if I wanted to attend a small council meeting, I would have to climb all the stairs in the Tower of the Hand?" he asked.

Tywin had enough of Joffrey's antics and strolled up in front of the throne as Joffrey leaned back with intimation. "We could arrange for you to be carried." He stated.

Joffrey clenches his fist but releases it. "Tell me about the Targaryen girl in the east and her dragons." He said.

"Where did you hear about this?" Tywin asked.

"Is it true?" Joffrey asked

"Apparently so." Tywin

"Don't you think we ought to do something about it?" he questioned.

"When I was the Hand of the King under your father's predecessor, the skulls of all the Targaryen dragons were kept in this room. The skull of the last of them was right here." Tywin said as he pointed to an empty spot next to the throne. "It was the size of an apple."

"Yes and the biggest was the size of a carriage." Joffrey states.

"Yes and the creature to whom it belonged died three hundred years ago." Tywin informed. "Curiosities on the other of the side of the world are no threat to us."

"And how do we know these dragons are just curiosities and not the beasts that brought the whole world to heel?" Joffrey questioned. Tywin didn't answer right away and Joffrey stood up from his Throne. "Have you not noticed my cousin's dragons? There were huge and they were still growing. They burned Stannis' men. I've seen the type of damage they do. Where is she by the way? From all we know she probably went to her family across the sea to take my Throne." Joffrey stated angrily.

"Rhaenyra is taking care of matters that she was told to do by me that does not concern you. Her dragons may be large but she has control over them. We know nothing of the other dragons across the sea. Right now I can imagine those dragons are still small and it may take years for her dragons to come of age. She will not look this way. We will prepare ourselves then." Tywin informed.

"You don't know that." Joffrey said and paced around. "Although it would be interesting to see Targaryens against each other again." he suggested.

"We have been told as much by the many experts who served the realm by counseling the King on matters about which he knows nothing about." Tywin said.

"But I haven't been counseled." Joffrey whined.

"You are being counseled at this very moment." He said.

"I should be consulted about such things." Joffrey said.

"From now on, I will see to it that you are appropriately consulted on important matters whenever necessary." Tywin replied and slightly bowed. "Your Grace." He said and turned his back towards him and walked down the stairs leaving the Throne Room.

Tywin climbed the stairs and entered his chambers. He sighed and poured some wine into his goblet. After dealing with his insufferable grandson who would cause wars throughout his years, all he wanted was to relax. He knew being the hand of the King was important but he was getting older and he didn't need to be any more wars.

A knock interrupted his thoughts. "Enter." He said. The doors opened revealing Lord Varys carrying a letter.

He nodded. "My Lord." He greeted Tywin.

"Lord Varys I was not expecting you but I suspect you have some type of news?" he asked.

Lord Varys walked over to Tywin's desk sat across from it. "Indeed. My birds have been working hard just finding information. This just arrived and I figured you should be the first one to read it." he said as he handed over the note. "I shall take my leave. You know where to find me." he said and bowed and left the room.

Tywin flipped the parchment over as he noticed a Dornish seal. He broke the seal and began reading.

Spider,

I have been doing some digging around and I noticed the Red Viper and his paramour around a silver hair beauty. They have been together on multiple occasions behind closed doors. I can only assume what takes place. Sunspear have been enthralled with the silver beauty. They are quite curious about her considering she is always in the market helping everyone. She blends in so well especially when she covers her hair.

If word comes through I will write more.

-H

Tywin gritted his teeth and crumbled up the parchment. He seriously needed to talk with Rhaenyra about her indiscretions. Things like this should never be known. It will ruin his name.
