I tapped my foot impatiently as I sat on the couch in my father's office at the station with Stiles' dad standing by the doorway, his arms crossed over his chest. Scott and Stiles sat on either side of me with Kira and Lydia to the left of Scott. Jake sat in his chair behind the desk while Scott's father, Rafael, leaned on the front of the desk. I couldn't believe I was wasting my time answering questions for this loser. I needed to get to Isaac and see what had happened to him. To see if he was ok.
"So when did you get there?" Rafael asked us.
"At the same time." Stiles answered for us.
"At the same time as who?" Stiles and I pointed to Scott.
"At the same time as me." Scott clarified.
"By coincidence?"
"What do you mean coincidence?" I asked.
"That's what I'm asking you. The three of you arrived at the same time."
"Well, we are pretty tight with each other and do hang out a lot together."
"I just want to know, was that a coincidence?"
"Are you asking me?" Scott asked.
"I think he's asking me." Stiles said.
"Naw, pretty sure he was asking me." I gloated.
"I think he's asking all three of you." Lydia clarified.
"Ok, let me answer the questions." Rafael said. Jake covered his mouth with his hand behind Rafael to hide his smile. I laughed at the agent's mistake and he sighed in frustration. "Let me ask the questions."
"There you go." I said as if I praising a two year old.
"Just so I have this absolutely clear. Barrow was hiding in the chemistry closet at the school. Someone left him a coded message on the blackboard,"
"Technically it was a chalkboard."
"Callana," Jake muttered.
"What? He said he wanted this right and he ain't gonna be right if he says blackboard cause it wasn't a blackboard. It was a chalkboard." Jake just stared at me and I knew to shut to my mouth.
"Someone left him a coded message on the chalkboard telling him to kill Kira." Rafael corrected himself as he continued. "Then Barrow took Kira to a power substation and tied her up with the intent of electrocuting her which blacked out the entire town."
"Sounds about right." Stiles said.
"How did you know he'd take her to a power station?"
"Well, 'cause he was an electrical engineer. So where else would he take her?"
"That's one hell of a deduction there, Stiles."
"Yeah, what can I say? I take after my pops. He's in law enforcement."
"And he's actually a good law enforcer unlike some people." I added. Stiles' dad snorted and Rafael looked over at him and Deputy started coughing to hide his laughter.
"Stiles, just, uh..." Deputy began to speak. "Just answer the man."
"We made a good guess." Stiles said.
"What were the two of you doing?" Rafael asked Scott and Kira.
"Eating pizza." Scott said at the same time that Kira said, "Eating sushi." Rafael looked at his son and Kira with a questioning look.
"Eating pizza." Kira answered at the same time Scott said, "Eating sushi." They both sighed and tried again.
"Eating sushi and pizza." They answered in unison and Rafael turned around to look at Jake.
"You believe this?" He asked him.
"To be honest, I haven't believed a word Callana has said since she learned how to speak." Jake answered and I stared at him in shock with my mouth opened.
"I'm offended, Dad." I said, pretending to be hurt.
"But I think theses kids found themselves in the right place at the right time and that girl sitting there is very lucky for it." Rafael turned back around to us.
"Kira, is that how you remember it?" Rafael questioned her. Lydia, Stiles, Scott and I leaned forward to look at her for the answer. She looked at each of us for a second before turning her attention back to the agent.
"Yes." She answered. "Could I get my phone back now?"
"Sorry, but no."
"Man, you a bitch." I muttered.
"Callana!" Jake snapped at me as a smile played across his face.
"Oh, Dad, don't even try it. Can we go now?"
"Do you have somewhere to be?" Rafael asked.
"Yeah, actually I do, cause unlike you, I actually have a life."
"I give up." Jake muttered, burying his face into his hands.
TTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT
His lips barely grazed over my collarbone, sending a shiver throughout my body. His fingertips hovered gently over my skin, making me want him even more.
"Derek," I moaned as my eyes fluttered shut and my fingertips dug into his scalp to pull him closer to me. Derek ran his tongue over my collarbone and up my neck to nibble on my ear.
"Lily," His voice dripped with honey and sugar as he said my nickname so sweetly. A knock sounded on my bedroom door and my heart literally stopped when I heard my father's voice on the other side.
"Callana?" Jake called through the door but from how high my senses were right now, it sounded like his voice was booming right beside my ear. "Callana, have you left for school yet?" I quickly pushed Derek off of me and scurried off the bed to jump into my skinny jeans and pulled a blue tank top over me. After smoothing out my white blonde hair the best I could with my hands, I ran to the door and opened it to reveal Jake standing in the doorway in uniform and a coffee mug in his hands.
"Yeah, I'm just about to leave, Dad." I said. "Relax." He took a sip before heading back down to the hallway.
"Just hurry up and get your butt to school."
"Sir, yes, Sir." I closed the door and leaned against, sighing before walking back to my bed. Derek was laying on his side propped up onto his elbow as a smile played across his face as he watched me brush my hair.
"Do you really have to go?" Derek questioned me and I laughed at the sadness in his voice.
"Yes, I do. I have to make sure Isaac is okay. I should have done it last night when I got home from the station but I ran into a little..." I looked over my shoulder at Derek and tilted my head to the side. "...trouble." It was Derek's turn to laugh.
"I was worth it though."
"Absolutely." With swift movements of my wrists, my hair flowed down my neck in a silkie high ponytail. I turned away from the full length mirror to face Derek again who was looking sad again as I grabbed my bookbag and slung it over my shoulder. "Don't look so sad, Dare Bear. You know I'll be back."
"I just hate having you walk away from me. It feels like you're leaving me forever." I leaned down on the bed and leaned over to him to press my lips to his. I pulled away and smiled at him.
"I'll always come back." I stood up and grab my keys from the nightstand and headed to the door. "I love you."
"Love you too, Lily."
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
I walked down the hallway to fifth period class with my books in my hands. Something grabbed my left shoulder and spun me around so I was facing Ethan. I growled at him and took a step back at him.
"Touch me again and I swear to God, I will tear you from limb to limb." I growled.
"I need a favor." Ethan said.
"I don't do favors for people." I started to turn back around but Ethan grabbed me again and pulled me back around. I bared my canines at him not caring if other students and Ethan immediately pulled back so I calmed down.
"Please, I need to use Derek's loft for a party tonight."
"Are you a special kind of stupid or something? You must be out of your mind."
"Please, Calla."
"It ain't gonna happen, Ethan. Derek would kill you and so would I." I turned and walked away from him.
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
"This is insane." I moaned with my hands in my white blonde hair as I looked around the crowded loft with glowing dancing people everywhere with the music pounding in my sensitive ears. "Derek's gonna kill me."
"Not until after he kills Ethan and Aiden." Stiles said, coming up from behind me and standing by my side.
"That is so comforting, Stiles. Thank you."
"Well, you know me, Calla, I'm here to make you smile again."
"More like piss me off again."
"I think I'm just gonna walk away now before the claws come out."
"That's the smartest thing you've said all night, Stiles." Stiles turned away from me and walked into the crowd to meet up with Scott and Kira.
"Hey, Calla, where's the ice?" Aiden's voice rang through the crowd.
"In the back, end of the hallway." I muttered as I walked down the steps and moved gracefully between the dancng people. As I was making my way to the other side of the dance floor, a loud howl bellowed in my ears. It was loud enough that any werewolf could hear it but soft enough that humans couldn't pick it up over the music and the sad thing was. I recognized that howl. Derek was home.
NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN
"Derek." I tried calling to him as dancers bumped into me as he made his way to the DJ booth. "Derek, just wait." He wouldn't listen to me. He went straight up to that DJ booth and knocked it over and once the music stopped, everyone stopped dancing and turned to look in confusion at Derek.
"Get out!" His voice thundered throughout the loft and I closed my eyes at the volume of his voice but opened my left eye to see everyone rushing out of the loft. As everyone cleared out of the loft, I notice four or five black figures standing completely still all around the loft. Allison, Isaac and Ethan came out of the back room while Aiden stood by the door. Kira and Scott came down the spiral staircase and I made my way over to Derek's side as we stared in confusion at the figures. They wore black cloaks and didn't show their faces. All was showen was a shiny silver mask with eye holes that peered into darkness. Thhen they took one sychnorized step together and turned to look directly at Aiden.
"Guys, they're all looking at me." Aiden said. They then took another sychronized steps towards him. Black smoke fluttered out of the edges of their masks as Scott and I exchanged worried glances. "Why are they all looking at me." They stepped closer to Aiden. And another step. "Guys?"
"Lily, what do we do?" I snapped my head in Derek's direction and looked up at him.
"Oh, suddenly I'm the only Alpha here?" I growled up at him.
"Well, I'm certainly not taking orders from Scott." I growled and turned back to the figures who were getting closer and closer to Aiden. I looked over at Scott and he nodded his head as if he knew exactly what I was thinking. "Lily, what's the plan?"
"Follow me." I let out a roar and charged at the nearest ninja and slashed my claws at him but he dodged out of the way at the last second, punching me in the back in knocking me to the ground. Scott and Derek both followed my lead. I scrambled to my feet and looked over at Derek to see him snap the neck of one of the ninjas. Instead of dying, the bones crunched back into place and the ninja knocked Derek back. I charged, letting out a growl of vegeance and the ninja slammed his palm into my sternum knocking me back. I rolled across the floor and stopped on my side as I coughed, trying to recover the air the was knocked out of my lungs. I raised my head and looked to the other side of the loft to see Isaac growl as he extended his claws on one of the ninjas. "Isaac, no!" The ninja turned around to face Isaac and pulled something from his chest. It took me a second to realize that he pulled a sword made of black smoke from his chest. "Isaac, back up right now." Isaac didn't need to be told twice. Without delay, he took a step back to Lydia.
"Somebody do something." Allison said.
"I don't know if you've notice, Allison, but they're made of black smoke with the strength of the freaking Hulk. There's nothing we can really do." I got to my feet and watched as two ninjas grabbed Aiden by the arms as the third one walked up to him and clutched his face in his black hand. The ninja stared intently in Aiden's eyes for a minute before Aiden dropped to the ground like a sack of potatos. The ninjas turned from Aiden and looked straight at Scott whose eyes grew a blood red and a growl rumbling in his chest, as his canine teeth clicked together. Before the ninjas could reach Scott, sunlight poured into the loft from the window and as soon as the light touched each of the ninjas, they dispersed into black smoke.
"What the hell were those things?" Scott snapped as Ethan ran to check on his twin brother.
"Your dad's twenty four hours are up." Isaac told Allison.
"What the hell are you talking about?" I growled at Isaac, crossing my arms over my chest.
"It's a long story, Calla. You might want to sit down to listen to it."
