Author's Note!: Please be sure to go back and reread chapter two. I rewrote the ending of it after watching the season finale of season four! Thank you so much for the reviews! I may not answer them directly but I do read them and I do try to answer them within my story! Thank you and hope you enjoy!
TTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTThe wind blew around my body and over my head as I raced down the street on my motorcycle. The street lights ran their lights over my body and disappeared so that the next one could do it over. My mind raced back to the night before. The night where Stiles went from humorous Stiles to the dark spirit Nogitsune in the matter of seconds. The night that the Nogitsune grabbed my by the throat and slammed me into the wall. The night that Deaton poisoned the Nogitsune enough for it to go back into hiding somewhere in Stiles' body. I pulled the bike to a stop and looked through the window of my helmet to see the iron gates of Eichen House. Stiles, Deputy and Scott were standing in front of them. I got off my bike and put the kickstand down, hanging my helmet on the handle bars before walking over to Scott, Stiles and Sheriff.
"Why didn't you tell me?" I questioned Stiles and Deputy but mainly questioning Stiles.
"Because we wanted to avoid something like this." Deputy said.
"It's only seventy two hours, Cal." Stiles tried to reassure me.
"This is the same place where Barrow came from." Scott reminded him. "The guy who had a tumor inside him filled with flies. You don't know everything yet."
"I know enough." Deputy said. "Nogitsunes, Kitsunes, Oni, or whatever they're called."
"Wow, that was actually all surprisingly correct."
"Scott, Calla, I saw an MRI that looked exactly like my wife's. And it terrifies me. I'm headed down to L.A. tomorrow to talk to a specialist."
"Then why are you putting him in here?" I questioned him.
"He's not." Stiles corrected me. "It was my decision."
"Stiles, we can't help you if you're in here."
"And I can't hurt you."
"Deaton's got some ideas." Scott reasoned with him. "Argent's calling people. We're gonna find something. And if we can't. . ."
"If you can't. . ." Stiles took a step forward away from his father so that Scott and I were the only ones who could hear him. "If you can't, then you have to do something for me, okay? Make sure I never get out."
"Come on." Deputy whispered behind him. The gate buzzed open and Scott and I stood side by side watching Deputy lead his son into Eichen House. I watched him and I let out a moan that soon turned into a low whine like a wolf whining for its lost packmate.
TTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT
"Did you have any trouble with Ikeda?" Chris questioned us over the phone. Scott and I stood in front of the counter at the animal clinic with Deaton in the chair on the other side.
"Only minor." Deaton answered. "The white wolf was exactly where you said it would be. But we have two problems now. First, the lichen is not a cure. It'll wear off in the matter of days."
"But while it does work, the Oni won't go after Stiles, right?"
"I hope. Eichen House has an unusual history. It might not be all that safe for the Oni there as well."
"What's the second problem?"
"I checked with your contacts in Japan. The Yakuza Boss you saw killed by the Oni never found the scroll."
"What scroll?" Scott asked.
"A Shugendo Scroll. The Shugendo were the ascetic mystics of Japan."
"The scroll had information on how to exorcise a Nogitsune." Chris added.
"So we need to find that scroll?" I said.
"Exactly." Deaton agreed. "And I did get a name of the man who last purchased it. Kincaid."
"He was with Katashi." Allison exclaimed. "He's the guy who met with Isaac to buy the gun."
"Sounds like Katashi wanted the scroll for himself."
"But Bryn already told me nothing like was found among his things. And a paranoid like Katashi would keep it close. Probably on him at all times."
"What does a Shugendo Scroll look like?" Allison asked her father and Deaton. Deaton got up and turned his back to us to rumage through his files. He turned back to us with a larged thick roll of parchment that was twined with twine.
"Something like this." Deaton said, handing the scroll to Allison for her to look at.
"Do these come in different sizes?"
"Any size."
"Then I think I know where it might be."
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
"This is a really bad plan." Scott whined as we stood around Allison's office. Aiden and Ethan were by the door and Lydia was sitting in front of the desk.
"It's not that bad." Lydia reassured him.
"It's not that good." Aiden objected.
"None of us knows the route they're going to take. If Allison cant get one of her dad's GPS trackers on the armored car then we can follow it."
"So when it gets here. . ." Allison pointed to a bridge on a map.
"We attack them?" I questioned her.
"No." Lydia corrected me. "Aiden and Ethan's bikes will be in the middle of the road, looking like you guys got into an accident. And when the driver gets out to help. . ."
"We attack him?"
"No." Lydia and Allison said in unison.
"Aiden and Ethan will distract him and Scott and you will break open the back door."
"I hope." Scott said.
"And you'll get Katashi's finger."
"It's not his actual finger, is it?" Aiden asked, arms crossed over his chest. Scott and I looked at Lydia with the same expression as Aiden; worried and not confident about the plan.
"You are so out of our league."
"Why aren't we just going to Bryn for help?"
"Because if he gets caught, then it's the Sheriff tampering with federal evidence." I explained.
"Guys, this is going to work." Allison reassured us with confidence. "We can do this. We're losing Stiles. My dad's in jail for murder. We need to do this."
NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN
I crouched down between two cop cars behind Allison, Kira and Scott. Allison looked through her crossbow to see if the coast was clear around the evidence truck.
"You're up." Allison whispered to Kira. Kira nodded and slithered past us and ran quietly down the alley like a fox stalking it's prey. She ran to the truck and placed the GPS tracker directly under the back bumper. Just as she was about to turn and run back to us, the door to the building opened and Deputy Parrish walked out. Kira crouched low to the ground and went to the opposite side of the truck to hide. I saw Parrish look into the passenger window and quickly pulled out his gun and looked around like an intruder was around. I took a sniff of the air and cringed at the smell of salt and iron of blood.
"Blood." I whispered to Allison and Scott.
"We have to do something." Scott said, fidgeting beside me. As Parrish made his way to the back of the truck, the back doors of the trucks flung open and a large, muscular black man leapt out of the truck and tackled Parrish, knocking him out on the ground. "Who the hell is that?"
"Kincaid." Allison breathed. I got up from my spot and started to walk over to the truck as Kincaid pulled a silver metal finger from an evidence bag. Allison and Scott followed behind me.
"We need that finger." I said and Kincaid turned to me with a smirk.
"Why should I give it to you?" Kincaid questioned me in a deep, husky voice.
"There's a briefcase in there with $150,000 in it." Allison reasoned with him.
"The scroll inside this prosthetic finger is worth three million."
"Give me the finger." Scott growled. Kira appeared on top of the truck and jumped down, landing on Kincaid's shoulders and trying to tackle him to the ground. Kincaid grabbed her and threw her off and onto the ground. She groaned and stumbled to her feet. I looked back at Kincaid to see his eyes glowing neon blue and fangs sharpened.
"I guess negotiations are over." He growled at us.
WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
Kincaid pulled the arrow from his arm that Allison shot at him and continued to stalk towards us. He walked up to Allison and backhanded her in the face, knocking her to the ground. I growled and slashed the claws at his face. He punched me in the chest and I grunted before doing a back flip into the air and shifting into my white blonde wolf form, red eyes blazing as I landed on my paws and bared my teeth at Kincaid. Scott charged at Kincaid and he grabbed Scott by both arms and head butted him in the forehead. Scott staggered backwards before shaking his head to clear it and running back at Kincaid and punching him several times in the stomach but it seemed to have no effect on Kincaid. Kincaid punched Scott in the stomach making him double over in pain and then kicked him in the stomach knocking him to the ground. I growled and leapt at Kincaid but he grabbed me by the throat and slammed me to the ground, making me yelp.
"You have the eyes of an Alpha." Kincaid smirked. "But where's the strength?"
"Right here." I looked up to see Ethan and Aiden standing on the fire escape looking down at the fight scene. They roared and jumped down, tackling Kincaid to the ground, punching him over and over in the face.
"Stop!" Scott ordered at them, climbing to his feet. I barked at them in protest as they ignored Scott's command. "Ethan, Aiden. . ."
"Stop!" Lydia yelled and the twins stopped to look over at her.
"You want him to come after us?" Aiden questioned her. I shifted, my long hair falling back onto my shoulders.
"Scott, Calla, we've seen guys like this." Ethan reasoned with us. "Trust us. He's dangerous."
"So are we." I reminded him. "And he looks smart enough to remember that." I reached into Kincaid's coat pocket to pull out the silver finger. I tapped it onto my palm and a small scroll with a red string tied around it. Scott looked over at Allison and smiled, silently thanking her that she was right. "We're here to save a life. Not end one." I dropped the silver finger and turned my back on Kincaid and started to walk away with the others following right behind me.
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Scott and I stood in front of Deaton in silence with our arms crossed over our chests, waiting for him to translate the scroll for us.
"There isn't much here, unfortunately." Deaton muttered.
"Does it say anything?" I asked.
My Japanese isn't great. But it appears to say that one method of expelling a Nogitsune is to change the body of the host."
"Change the body?" Scott questioned him.
"Which begs the question, how do we change Stiles' body?"
"By turning him into a werewolf." I answered.
