Chapter .2.
"Katherine it is me Martha. I believe you have my grandchildren", Martha says
Kate looks at the phone in shock. Espo and Ryan look at her wondering what is going on.
"Katherine?" Martha says
"Yes Martha sorry you caught me by surprise", Kate says
Espo and Ryan looked shocked at the phone the Castle's mother had been called on and the two children.
"Grace and Robert told me Richard has been taken", Martha says
"Their Castle's?" Kate asks looking at the little boy and girl
"Yes. There is a lot about Richard you never knew Detective. And I believe now you will learn some of it", Martha says
"Do you know anyone that would want to kidnap Castle? Did he have enemies?" Kate asks
"He has more enemies then you do Katherine. Bring my grandchildren to my penthouse loft. It is in the same building Richard used to live in. Now listen carefully I will only tell Richard's story once. So make sure you bring whoever needs to hear this like your Captain, the boys and Doctor Parish with you", Martha says
Kate felt a chill in her spine. Castle had more enemies then her? That was impossible. But she needed to hear this story to save Castle.
"We'll be there", Kate says
"Please hand me back to my Grandchildren. I will tell them that their father knows you all", Martha says
Kate hands her phone to the little boy Robert.
"They are Castle's?" Espo asks Kate
"Yes. Call Captain Gates and Lanie have them meet us at Castle's old building. Have a crime scene squad search the park. Maybe bring in the dogs too. We are taking this case personally", Kate says
"I'll make the call to Gates", Ryan says
"I'll call Lanie", Espo says
Kate nods and turns back to the two children.
"Grams said Daddy knows you. So we can trust you. She hung up to tell the others what has happened", Robert says
"We are taking my car. These are Detective Esposito and Detective Ryan. We will find your Dad", Kate says
Robert and Grace look at Kate and believe her.
"We believe you", Grace says shyly
"Espo, Ryan follow me. This way to my car Grace, Robert", Kate says offering her hands to Castle's children
They shyly take her hands and walk with her to Kate's car. Kate frowned her car wasn't really safe for children Grace and Robert's age.
"Espo, Ryan we will take your car. We can pick up mine later", Kate says
"Sure Beckett. Who wants to drive?" Esposito asks
"Either one of you. I will stay in the back with the kids", Kate says
Kate helps both Grace and Robert into the back of the car. Espo drives and Ryan was on the phone talking to Gates.
"How old are you both?" Kate asks them
"We are both 4", Robert says
"Twins", Ryan says getting off the phone with Gates
"No. We have the same Daddy but not Mummy. Daddy didn't tell us why he said when we were older", Grace says
Kate shares a look with Ryan and Esposito. They really needed Castle's story.
"Do you live here in New York?" Ryan asks
"No. We flow on an airplane", Robert says smiling
"It was fun. But it was a long flight", Grace says
"We have a lot of siblings", Robert says
"How many?" Esposito asks
"I can't count that high", Robert says
"Did your Dad take you straight to the park?" Kate asks
"Yes. We wanted to play before seeing Grams and family", Grace says
"Do you see your Grams a lot?" Kate asks
"She flies out to visit us", Robert says
They soon pull up at the apartment building that Castle used to live in. Gates and Lanie were there waiting for them.
Grace and Robert were helped out of the car they stick close to Kate. Who was their saviour to them.
"Grace, Robert this is my Captain Victoire Gates and Doctor Lanie Parish", Kate says to the two children
Robert and Grace do something that none of them expect they salute Gates.
"Captain", they say
"Do you know which floor your Grandmother lives?" Gates asks getting over her shock
"No", Robert says
"The bellman will know", Ryan says
"Excuse me I am Detective Kate Beckett with the NYPD I am looking for a Martha Rodgers", Kate asks showing her badge
"Mrs Rodgers told me to expect you all. Follow me to the private elevator", the bellman says
"Why does she need a private elevator?" Espo asks
"Mrs Rodgers has a penthouse loft. Her son payed for the privacy", the bellman says opening the elevator with the key card, "This goes straight up to the penthouse. Just knock on the door"
They all get in the elevator and head up. It dings and the doors open. The get out to find a hallway with a door saying Rodgers Suite. Kate knocks on the door.
A woman with blonde hair answers.
"Hele!" Grace and Robert say running to the woman
"Are you both alright?" she asks
"Thanks to Kate, Ryan, Espo. But bad guys took Daddy", Robert says
"So this is the Rodgers residence?" Gates asks
"Yes come in. I am Helena Rodgers-Dixon. Gran is waiting", Helena says letting them in
They see a lot of people all under the age of 30.
"Are we interrupting something?" Kate asks
"Katherine come in. This is Richard's family", Martha says
"Hey Mrs R", Espo says
"Detective Ryan, Detective Esposito, Captain Gates, Dr Parish come into the living room. We must talk", Martha says
"Grams!" Grace and Robert say running for a hug
"Are you both alright?" Martha asks her grandchildren
"Kate saved us. But Daddy was taken", Robert says
"We will get him back", a male says
"Now let the family introduce themselves. You will need to know everyone before I tell Richard's story", Martha says
"I am Zander Richard Rodgers I am 30 this is my wife Madeline and our children", Zander says
Zander had brown hair and blue eyes.
"I am Zaria Isadora Rodgers-Scott I am also 30 this is my husband Joseph Scott and our children", Zaria says
Zaria had blonde hair and green eyes.
"I am Helena May Rodgers-Dixon. I am 29 this is my husband Nathen Dixon and our 4 children", Helena says
Helena had blonde hair and blue eyes.
"I am Elizabeth Callidora Rodgers-Marks. I am 28. This is my husband Damion Marks and our children", Elizabeth says
Elizabeth had brown hair and green eyes.
"I am Nevaeh Iliana Rodgers. I am 28", Nevaeh says
Nevaeh had blonde hair and blue eyes.
"I am Lukas James Rodgers. I am 26", Lukas says
Lukas has black hair and green eyes.
"I am Sarah Laura Rodgers and I am 26", Sarah says
Sarah had dirty blonde hair and green eyes.
"I am Selena Laurel Rodgers I am 25", Selena says
Selena had blonde hair and hazel eyes.
"I am Cassandra June Rodgers I am 24", Cassandra says
Cassandra had brown hair and blue eyes.
"You already know me. Alexis Harper Castle. I am 23", Alexis says glaring at Kate
"The rest are Aryan Patrick Castle he is 13, Samuel Parker Castle who is 13, Samantha Natalie Parker who is 13, Lerida Maya Castle who is 13. Out of those only Samuel and Samantha are twins. Next are the twins Rachael Alice and Rebecca Louise Castle they are 12. And you already meet Grace Mira Rodgers who is 4 and Robert George Rodgers who is 4. Most of them have different mothers", Martha says
"All of them are Castle's?" Kate asks shocked
"Yes", Martha says
"Castle got around", Espo says getting smacked by Lanie
"If you knew his story you would understand. I am going to tell you because it might help you find Richard. But his story is not pretty and not the fun life he told you about. He lied about his life. So I must tell you the truth", Martha says wirily
"Gran we will take the little kids to the play room. They don't need to hear this", Aryan says
"That is a good idea. The older ones who want to stay are welcome. Now lets all have a seat", Martha says
"Mrs Rodgers what is Richard Castle's story?" Gates asks
"Well it all began 32 years ago", Martha says
