So, yeah.. I think my house may be haunted, so like yeah my family got home from our ranch we had to go to feed the new calf we bought, and like we went to get some stuff to have a barbecue. So, we get home hands full with essentials, and we have a white gate that leads into our home, and then we have a semi glass, and wood at the top and bottom. My dad had the keys so, he's opens the gate and puts down his bag, and he goes to open the door. Me, and my siblings are over here blabbing nonsense with each other, we're all carrying a junk load of stuff, we had been waiting for a second and I got kinda mad because all the bags were getting heavier. I look over to my dad, and see that he's just staring inside. I'm mad so, I start asking what he's waiting for, and he's just says kinda casually,
" Oh-" He turns to face me, " I saw a woman shadow.." He paused and stared down. I was like What... Yeah, now I can't go into the kitchen, and I've been sleeping with my sister because I'm petrified. Geez. So, yeah.. My house my be haunted. Oh, well I haven't seen it, right? Whatever..

The cold night held its cries of the roaming owls and long held howls of the wolfs that peered from the woods. Hinata shivered at the shivering air, it was damp from the snow that fell before hand and then some. The road was filled with large obstructions, snow covered rocks, and deep pits in the dirt and randomly placed rotting logs. Sasuke walked dead in the center where it was slightly clearer, while Hinata slid to the right most edge of the road refusing to even be a foot's distance close. She absolutely loathed the idea to even pass anywhere around him. The road was a clear thirteen feet across in width, Hinata occupied her gaze everywhere else except to her left where he strolled. Her breath was a puffy cloud steam, cheeks a bright shade of red and her fingertips felt numb under her mittens; until she rubbed the thick warm yarn that covered over her hands as she let them slide against each other friction heating them up. Hinata kept her lips pursed as she readjusted her scarf, winding it tightly around her face keeping her mouth and nose covered from the icy grips of the air.
" Dammit." She thought.
Hinata kept her shaking eyes forward as her mouth was sealed shut, quickly lifted her gaze up to face Sasuke's back. His eyes were laced straight ahead of him, his steamy breath left the trace in front of him. It was weird for her, "Why is he walking so slowly?" She thought, Hinata looked down at his feet his paced matched perfectly after hers. " No, just a weird coincidence." Hinata shook her head. " No one's around, he shouldn't be-" She quickly fastened her pace hastily throwing one leg in front of the other. Hinata sped past the gravel and snow filled obstructions or a fungi infested log, unforgiving as it was it took hold of her long raven shaded sweats, Hinata tumbled forward landing straight on her knees sliding a bit forward from the frozen ice ground.
" Ghaa!" She cursed under her icy breath, " Fuckin Christ! God dammit-" She pounded the ground with her fist fully expecting to see an icy toned hand extended to help her stand. Hinata stared up and blinked at the blank space in front of her. " No help, huh?" She thought a small smirk in place as she gripped her knees, pulling herself up pacing after the shadowy boy. Since they left the village, she had held his ice to the touch hand then he made a smart comment to which she responded with a extended leg and then a painful tumble as she let his face break the fall. Now, he staggered forward with a limp, and a sore cheek he received earlier from another sarcastic remark. She had now retained a scraped knee and what seemed like a bad attitude. Sasuke's attitude and demeanor of course, had changed, from the kind and love stricken boy he loved to play, to the manipulating ass hole she knew he really was. They both remained quiet as Hinata seemed to be ignoring every attempts of a insulting conversation Sasuke tried to spark. He was walking hastily at this point and Hinata struggled after him as she made sure to keep her distance.
" Are you an idiot?" Sasuke asked, as he kept his fingers sternly wound around his white backpack straps that seemed to act like a ribbon as they strapped around his leather jacket at an entire arms length. He stared ahead of himself making sure not to turn his head to face Hinata, slowly he took a large step clearing over a large muted log with ease.
" Fuck you." She muttered as she attempted to hop over the rotting wood again the log snagged onto her long fabric sweats no surprise when she fell head first to the soft snow sleeted ground. Until a firm grip held her tightly. The hand seemed as if it burned through the course wool cardigan sleeve just a tad; yet she forced herself to grind her teeth as she faced the ground letting the burning sensation sizzle.
" Don't run-" Sasuke said. " and watch your step." He paused, looking her up " Or you'll break something before we even get to where we're going." He chuckled a bit boiling Hinata ripped her limb from his grip fixing her cardigan she readjusted her bag on her back and swatted her bangs from her face.
" I know what I'm doing" She mused a large chuckle in place. Hinata shook her head and crossed her arms over her chest.
" Really?" He asked a bit bored, " Go first then-" Hinata quickly passed over him not bothering to look back as she gave a grunt; Sasuke followed silently and quite quickly after her. His stride was short matching hers as Hinata deeply tried to stretch hers to widen the gap between them her steps were loud, as she smothered the snow beneath her.
" You'll trip again, walk slower." He added, Hinata slowly let her legs become dead weight as she came to a stop. She paused as Sasuke gave her a dead look.
" Lets take a break?" Hinata asked, Sasuke just shrugged and began to walk back a bit. He nodded briefly and unhooked his weird laced bag. He bent to his knee under a large oak tree letting himself fall back, as he crossed his legs letting his bag sit between his legs. He slowly eased the zipper open with great provision. Hinata crossed to the back of the tree quickly throw her bag from her back; letting it sit on the visible roots that peaked out of the ground and tightly packed snow. She let her back press against the wooden board tree and slowly she eased herself down, until she sat leg spread in front of her. She heard a snicker from the other end of the oak border.
" Shut up." She beckoned.
" I didn't say anything, dumbass." He said she could hear his delight as he spoke, Hinata bit her lip.
" No, your idiot self laughed." Hinata beamed as she turned her head to the side not attempting to look over but make her voice visible.
" Oh!" He exclaimed, " I have idiotic thoughts?" Sasuke asked. Hinata could hear him stand, grunting and slowly she could hear his steps and the crunching of the snow beneath his feet made her cringe. She nodded to herself his steps increased quickly angered a bit she throw her bag to her hip. Hinata pulled her legs up to rest on her chest she held them tightly as she kept her sight towards the large brown bag that laid next to her black combat boots. His heavy steps stopped inches from her figure as his dark shadow casted over her body, she presumed he would be staring her down. Stubbornly, Hinata refused to raise her gaze.
" Look at me." Sasuke said, his voice was drained of emotion like usual. Hinata sighed but allowed her head to remain between her thighs. He tossed his bag to her side Hinata pressed her eyes closed.
" Die." She blurted, Hinata heard his brow raise.
" She speaks." He murmured, he slowly shoved her aside she knew he didn't mean to but due his size a clear double pushed her a bit. He mumbled something, she couldn't make it out but she knew it was more of a move than an apology. She scooted to her right never moving her eyes from her bag. Hinata wanted him to move but she kept to herself letting her breaths become short and steady. Sasuke fumbled with his bag, Hinata could hear the clunk of metal to her side she made out a shiny metal object in his pale palm at the edge of her sight. She could hear him shake it's contents then slowly pull it to his lips. She wrinkled her nose as she heard him gulp the now presumed liquid. She wondered if he had prepared warm tea in the container, she considered looking up to take a look or even ask for a taste but instead she held her head low. Too much pride of even give him the benefit of her sight.
" Here." He pressed the cold metallic object to her cheek as Hinata skipped up a bit. She slowly peered up looking at his stale face, he shook the now clear flask a bit. Hinata lifted her arm lazily taking hold of the large silvery bottle he lifted a brow to her eyes a smirk laid on his lips, as Hinata swung the bottle up to her lips quickly taking a hefty gulp.
" Gah!" She coughed up, as her eyes enlarged as she came to relive its contents, as the strong burning sensation ran through her throat, " What is this!?" Hinata exclaimed she squinted her face in a bitter expression.
" Vodka." He sighed a bit bored he grasped the bottle from her finger and took another swing of it. His expression never changed but Hinata stared at him in disbelief as he continued to sip, his eyes fell to her he rose his brow. He let the bottle fall to his lap, " What?" He asked.
" You're drinking?" She asked, Sasuke sighed in annoyance rolling his eyes his shoved it back into her palms.
" It's cold." He shrugged, Hinata shook her head. Sasuke mumbled something sighing again as he rolled his eyes, " Are you going to drink some more, or what?" He asked.
" Of course I'm not." She exclaimed, she passed the flask back.
" Why not?" He asked, Hinata gave him a questioning look.
" Oh!" She said sarcastically, " I don't know?" She throw up her hands in disbelief. " Maybe because we're on a job?!" She exclaimed, and Hinata shot up turning her back to him.
" So, you drink when you're lonely, and stay sober when the idiot tells you to go do his dirty work?" He asked, Sasuke shook his head as he lifted his bottle to his lips. Hinata tore his arm up letting the clear water like substance drip to his head. He let his eyes fall closed as she could see him moving his tongue under his top teeth, his jaw line stiffened as he closed his mouth. His hair dripping the clear alcohol to his leather jacket. Hinata quickly pulled the bottle out of his hand holding it up to her chest she held it tightly. She choked a,
" I-I" He sighed a bit, slapping his hands over his lap. He bit his upper lip lifting a knee balancing himself he stood slowly. " Sasuke-" She began.
" Let's go." He said, hushed. He stumbled down a bit taking up his bag he dug in it for a moment, taking up a black beanie he harshly covered it over his head covering his damp ink colored hair.
Hinata held the bottle still, as Sasuke simply laced his straps to his arms and trudged off into the clear night. She could hear his large steps turn into light muted crunchy sounds in the far distance. She quickly shoved the bottle into her tan bag and slung it over her back. Fleeting, Hinata bolted after him remembering she kept a small gap between him and herself. She could feel herself begging to apologize to him but she remained silent.
" Sasuke!" He lifted his head rubbing the thick sleep from his weak eyes. He stretched his arm into the warm humid air yawning. " Sasuke-" His mother repeated. Frustrated he rolled his eyes,
" Coming!" He shouted throwing his covers up and over his legs as Sasuke sat up. He stretched his back then pulled his legs into a squatting position. Hearing his name being called in the air again he throw his door open. He slowly eased his way out crossing the picture filled halls on his right he could see his mother and father in their wedding attire both young and smiling proudly next to that one was his mother only much younger with a large round belly, and a glorious smile. To his left was a familiar baby sitting on a high chair face filled with what he always assumed as applesauce. Straight across from the brown hung picture was his older brother, at six he guessed still he wore a plain black shirt and he seemed to be turned back a large grin as he held their Mother's hand? Straight under that one was a proud family photo, his father arms crossed eyes pressed closed Mother's bright smile, and Itachi in between them with a slight grin on his lips as he held up his diploma and headband, and again his mother had a large joy filled belly. Sasuke made out the next one clearly before he crossed it, a large smile on his boyish face. It was him, well a baby him being held by his older brother who surprisingly had a small smile. He was young, like twelve but he must have already have been training to be a Jonin or maybe even one already, he had never asked before. At this Sasuke gave a great smirk, " I'll be next to that one." He thought as he came to the end of the hall. He skipped past the living room filled with other overly bloomed pictures of Sasuke from his first tooth, to his pale baby butt, he scrunched his nose at the picture.
" Mom-" He began to whine, Sasuke thrust forward into the lit dining room.
" Sit down, Sweetie." Mikoto beckoned as Sasuke nodded pridefully. He slumped into his chair at the far end of the of the table. He bit his lower lip as his mother laid the glorious breakfast in front of him, a rice omelet with a bright stride of ketchup on the golden omelet and a pale bowl of steaming miso soup.
" Mom-" His mother quickly nodded pulling up a pair of blue and red chopsticks from her left, a marble drawer as she rushed in from the kitchen and handed it to Sasuke as she paced back into the boiling cooking.
" Fugaku!" His mother hollard gingerly. She passed up something in front of her as she took up two bowls hastily she ran back and placed Sasuke's rice bowl to the right of his soup. She then crossed over laying down another bowl across from Sasuke, she sat up crossing her hands. "Fugaku-" She stopped, as she felt the hands slip through her crossed arms it rocked her lightly and the man from behind gave her a drowsy kiss.
" Eww!" Sasuke cried quickly from behind a hand covered his sight, a sigh came from behind him and spoke slowly.
" I know." The voice said, grudgingly from behind.
" Itachi?!" Sasuke exclaimed the hand remained over his gaze after a brief moment the hand pulled back, as his brother playfully pulled his cheek back. He shook his head, " When did you get home?!" He asked face covered in ketchup.
" Last Night." His father explained, Sasuke turned his head as his father rocked his Mother and gave his oldest son a strange stare. " And I expect in completion to a successful mission." He asked. Itachi stared blankly, but gave his father a slight nod. Satisfied, his father released his Mikoto allowing her to run back to her chores. He sat down proudly in front of his son. Itachi sighed a bit but gave Sasuke a small grin. Itachi slid into his seat silently as he kept a stale expression on his lips, his eyes creased in worry.
" How did it end?" His father demanded, Itachi remained silent but quickly Mikoto ran in the dining room placing two glorious omelet in front of her eldest son, and husband.
" None of that." She whispered in a hushed tone as Sasuke caught a gleam in Itachi's eyes as his mother peered into his.
" Why?" Fugaku asked his wife Mikoto only laid her hand on his shoulder.
" Because-" She started, Mikoto smiled and gestured to Sasuke eyes wide. " Sasuke is staring the Ninja academy today!" His mother exclaimed. His father gave a grunt but Itachi's eyes widened in horror.
" Today?" Itachi asked as he looked over to his Mother who gave a curt nod. " Oh." He mumbled.
" What does that matter?" His father asked Mikoto's face paled and she pressed her lips. Sasuke started up at his father,
" Yes, It's not that important-" He lowered his head slightly, Mikoto griped her husband shoulder. "What happened on your last mission, Itachi?!" He asked, looking back to his wide eyed brother. The room turned to Itachi and he stood for a moment and blankly stared at his brother, " I-I-" He paused. " Nothing-" He said but then he seemed to think it over. " I mean- nothing out of the ordinary?" He explained, Mikoto kept a glare to her husband.
" Really?" Fugaku asked, he sighed slowly and shrugged. He looked to his wife, " Mikoto?" He asked she nodded. Speedily, she took up two pairs of chopsticks as she handed them to both her grown men. Finally pleased Mikoto strolled leisurely back to the kitchen taking up a box wrapped in a light fabric, wound tightly around it. She took up a small black backpack still clasped with a small metal lock, she clicked it open and placed it gently inside snugly. Mikoto then took up the top and clipped it into place.
" Run, and get ready Sasuke-" She waved him off, " Or you'll be late." She pressed as Itachi set his chopsticks down,
" Mother?" He asked, Mikoto turned to face him." May I take him?" He stared at his Mother who shrugged.
" Of course." She said, eyes a bit questioning.
" No-" He father said quickly Itachi turned to him,
" No?" He asked, he rose a brow and let a little scoff out. Mikoto fastened rushing Sasuke back into the living room. He almost fell at her strength,
" Go get ready, sweetie-" She slowly let her hands slip into his hair. " Mom will walk you, okay?" She asked. He nodded, as he reached the hall the final picture came into view, it was taken no less than a year ago both him and his mother smiled widely but his father kept a stern look and his big brother sat at the far distance, his face emotionless.
" You will do as I say!" He heard his father hollered, Sasuke's eyes widened.
" Hush Sweetie-" He heard his mother attempting to hush the worked up man. Sasuke continued to walk, passing his brother's baby photo.
" He's not the heir!" His father almost shrieked. " You will always be more important, he's nothing-" He paused, as his mother mumbled something. " I could careless if he dies." He exclaimed. Sasuke quietly entered his room slowly sliding it closed. He leaned on the door sliding gently on his back as he rolled to the floor he sat on the hard wooden ground, slumping he pulling up his thin pale legs onto his chest, pressing them tightly.
" I'm a failure." He mumbled, as he let his head lower onto his knees.
