Hello, again. Yup, I've written another thing. Well, it took forever since I tried to make it longer, but then I made it a bit too long, then I was thinking of publishing the second part as another chapter but that seemed harder so, I was like okay, an extra long chapter, but then I go and see and it actually seems normal size, so oh well! Have you guys ever read, well yeah you probably have read other fan fiction, and you see that up here as the authors notes , or whatever seems to be the longest think since the gosh darn bible? Yeah, so if you've been here for a while you know that I usually just ramble about shows, or just whatever comes to mind at the moment, right? Yeah, well sometimes I read others work, and think, " Wow! Someone put some heart into that?" And then I sulk for like an hour. Yeah, oh Update on my Driver permit papers, nope they're not here if your wondering. Probably not, but whatever. I would like to however, thank everyone who has read up to this, no I'm not quitting I'm just lazy, so I'll try my best to put out another chapter very super duper soon! Yup, I might cry but I just want to give an extra thank you for all those who have read! Wow, right that was an actual thing that had to do with the story! Sorry for any grammar mistakes I forgot, I'll try to get them when I re-re-re-read! Well, I'm not going to try to drown this out, so once again thank you! And happy reading!-avv90

The muddy dirt ground were murky and misty from the thick fog that had seemingly appeared almost out of the nowhere; even for the cold muggy damp air but really it was no surprise. After all, Hinata was in the land of the mist. The town was piled high with tired young people from kids being led by their loud chirping mother's to carrying wives, reminding their loved ones to each eat their lunch and listen well for it was an excellent quality for everyone from high class ninja's to the ever simple carpenters. Hinata kept her ears drifting in and out of their conversations as many mother's bickered about their children's failing grades and quote, "Horrendous behavior." With other mother's. She was careful not to fall too behind since she was on a job but instead she kept her gaze towards the dark men in front of her. Just as sunrise had approached She and Sasuke had neared their arrival but as she should've expected, Sasuke had excused himself with no excuse. No assuring her he would meet up with Hinata later nothing, but still Hinata happily obliged hence seemingly leaving her traveling alone, but this gave her a sigh of relief from their previous episode. Meaning it gave her the chance to brainstorm a genuine apology, and not half-ass it. Although; the remaining amount of their trip was strung in an eerie silence with Hinata struggling to keep up with his inhuman speed. Sasuke seemed to be very forgiving to their previous incident he never brought it up or even gave her a bugging eye, absolutely nothing almost as if he had lost a feeling his emotions in total. Still, Hinata was forced to enter the village alone. Upon entering she was ushered in and properly greeted surprisingly by one of the Kage's personal assistance, Chojuro. Chojuro seemed to not age a bit during the last two years, his hair was still short and choppy with his regular clothing a lavender turtleneck, with a large ink vest with it's center cut out to show his head band imprinting the mist and his weird white and brown cow print pants that had always shook Hinata a bit. They had searched her and upon satisfaction of identifying her, Hinata was escorted out of their special unit and sternly lead her to meet up with their leader. Chojuro babbled happily towards her on their trip. Hinata comment every here and there, yet she allowed her eyes to drift from shop to shops or just people to people.

" Right, Hinata-sama?" He gave her a raised brow as the question rang through her mind the echos shouted. She gave an awkward nod and a frail smile as she noticed she forgot to listen. " I've met him a couple times-but He's just so quiet, and mysterious-" He paused. " Was it a weird trip?" Chojuro asked, he turned and immediately trudged alongside her as he followed his men or so Hinata presumed.

" Pardon, but with who?" She asked, face a bit bright from asking such an embarrassing as his face hushed.

" Uh-!" He rubbed the back of his head scratching his pale sky hair. " Sasuke-sama?" He asked. Hinata shook her head as she scooted a bit to the left attempting to build up space in between them as she bit her lower lip.

" Yeah, he's-" She trembled as she thought, " He's an ass, but not creepy or anything." She reassured as she scrunched her nose and gave a weak grin at the speculated younger man.

" I know that." He giggled as he waved her down a bit still he turned his head back. Considering for a bit then he looked back as he regarded her, "You don't have to speak so kindly of him-" He began with a sigh as Hinata eyed him cautiously. He lowered his hands to his side swiftly Chojuro balled them into fist. "Just because he's your fiance best friend, doesn't mean you have to speak highly of him." He explained Hinata bit her upper lip as she gave a bitter smile not bothering to correct him of his rumored mistake, she just nodded.

" I'm not- We're not particularly close." Hinata explained, as she sighed and shook her head, " Does everyone here think we're still together?" She bickered in her mind but considering he was the only person who had referred to her about this he must have genuinely just not known.

" No one is right?" Chojuro smirked. " But it's okay, I think you can put up with him." He stated as he eyed his peripherals gingerly.

" You'd be surprised." Hinata thought but simply she nodded in approval. " So-" She turned her head to the tall men that ushered them Chojuro nodded as Hinata smiled. " They seem quite enormous-" She spoke softly.

" Yes," He stated. " The Mizukage has risen our security recently for-" He said before quietly mumbling something before becoming audible again. "You'll understand soon, I promise." Chojuro spoke faintly attempting to mask his voice under the morning commotion that occurred around them.

" Yes." She said in an understanding tone. Hinata kept her gaze low for now watching the boys fidgeting hands. Still she continued to follow after her shepherds, as they solemnly lead the way.

" Hinata-sama.." Chojuro began. Hinata turned to face him he flushed a bit but proceeded, " Umm.. How is your-" He shook his head but rose a single finger as Hinata's eyes followed it up. " How was your trip?" He asked as he let the finger scratch his cherry cheek.

" Awkward." Hinata mumbled she chuckled a bit as Chojuro gave off a grin. Suddenly she was self aware of a single sudden question, " Wait a second-" Her eyes dilated a bit. " I didn't breathe a word about Sasuke-kun until now.." Her mouth became dry with questions. " How does he know he came?" She questioned herself. Hinata paused looking around for a moment. Chojuro moved ahead and continued to speak until he noted the navy haired girl that had stopped a few moments before lingering in the morning rush hour.

" Hinata-sama?" He asked, as he himself slowed Chojuro turned to face her. He stared in wonder for a brief moment, " Is something wrong?" He asked as all the men hastily turned all facing her. She quickly regained motion,

" Nothing-" She shook her head, " I-I mean I think I'm-" She turned around searching for something, anything as an excuse.

" Hungry?" Chojuro asked as he lifted his brow in question.

" Yes!" She exclaimed, soon she grimaced at her reaction. " Damn, now I seem suspicious!" She cursed herself as she bit down with force at her lower lip, " Yes, Sasuke-san told me we would eat when we arrived." She lied, as he nodded fiercely Chojuro turned to his men.

" Go do something, I'll take her the rest of the way." He motioned for them to leave they all briefly nodded, and promptly each one at a time took to the street all of them sauntered off slowly. Chojuro walked back to her side smiling a bit. He turned to her side as Hinata faced the dark men that limped ahead as they seemingly disappeared into a street corner alley. She stared a bit baffled at the sudden poof of smoke, and the lack of men but the now impeccable puddle that laid were they popped.

" They were?" She asked, Chojuro smiled and noted her question.

" Yes, water clones." He stated and sighed with regret. " Our usual procedures have been demolished due to a past event." He said as he stared at her for a moment.

" Yes." She nodded, but made sure to noted the event it was strange never had any village used clones to protect it's people, or even borders.

" Well, I know an amazing tea place?" He asked as Hinata eyed him but gave a small smile.

" Yes, but Chojuro-san-" He shook his head,

" Just Chojuro please." He added, Hinata smiled.

" Chojuro-kun, I would enjoy a meal, but don't we have to meet up with the Mizukage." Hinata asked unsure of why she had fabricated a lie, " I'm sick of tea!" She thought. " If I wanted to drink more goddamn tea I'd be home." She gave him a frail false smile.

" Nonsense." He shook her off as she wrinkled her nose in disgust, " A great breakfast is crucial for amazing health." Chojuro scolded, Hinata kept a small smile on her lips attempting to look attentive.

" Yes, I agree." She said nodding towards him. He gestured where they had just walked from.

" It's pretty close, so don't worry." He reassured her, as he stared at her. Hinata kept a small smile on her lips as she silently bit her tongue to hold her words as they began to make their way to said place. He sighed a bit,

" Is something wrong?" Hinata asked, brows raised to show a bit of worry.

" Well-" He began, " I've heard something about you." Chojuro said, as he lowered his head. His pace matched hers as he kept his gaze down. Hinata sighed,

" He knows." She thought. " Well, crap everyone know we broke up, right?" She mumbled something incoherent but Hinata replied, " Yes, we-"

" They say you suck at missions." He said, Hinata's eye twitched a bit as she bit back the urge to argue and gravely responded.

" Yes, I have failed most of my missions since-"

" Since your cousin's death?" Chojuro asked, Hinata paused but quickly continued.

" What?!" She thought. " I barley even know you, yet you're asking me what?!" A voice screamed in her head, " No. I-Something else, something definitely else." She explained, he nodded without question.

" Yes, it's understandable." Chojuro replied and slumped forward as he stared down at her feet, they were approaching a corner. Hinata slowed however, wondering if they would turn the corner or if they would stop at the shop before. " But is it true that you may have gone blind?" He asked. Hinata stared at the boy baffled,

" Did this guy just ask me that?!" Hinata thought, She gave a small chuckle, " How in this fucking goddamn world do you think I'm blind?! Me! Of all the people on this earth-! Me?!" She thought, still she tried to remain calm and gave a small scoff before she giggled." Pardon me." Hinata covered her mouth as she gave a light chuckle. " Who said I was blind?!" She gasped for air as her eyes filled with droplets. Chojuro stopped and stared at her in question,

" They say when Neji-san died he sealed off your-" He halted and pointed to his eye.

" My byakugan?" She asked as he nodded fiercely, " I don't even think it can be sealed off?" She rubbed her sore eyes.

" It can!" He exclaimed closing his hand into a closed fist. " I-I knew someone who could have his sealed, and unsealed." He stammered. Hinata gave it a thought,

" Was it that guy?" She asked,

" The late Ao-Sama." He responded his face became stern, " Yes, he sealed his off, and on." He noted.

" Yes, but I don't think Ao-san was a Hyuga, was he?" Hinata asked as she let her face fall to a simple stern look.

" Yes, but I also hear you seal off the-"

" We don't!" Hinata stammered a bit agitated.

" Oh." He stated, " I-I just thought.." He paused staring down to his leg, quickly he lifted his head staring at her.

" I understand." Hinata retorted, she gave a sincere face as he slowly nodded. He continued down as Hinata slowly followed him gingerly around the sharp corner. "Stupid rumors!" She barked in her mind.

" Like I said our village seems to be very cautious these days you see-" He stopped as he peered around for a brief moment. " Over there!" He pointed as he rushed forward a smile covering his face. Hinata sighed,

" I think even Sasuke at this point would be a better companion." She thought slumping a bit she followed slowly. He had thrown open the door not caring to see if she had followed, or decided to skip out on the merely annoying breakfast that was sure to await her. She pressed her eyes closed as she passed. Suddenly, she locked eyes with a woman that stood in front of the small building. It was a fairly honest building nothing special in the form of extravagance from what she could see in the horrid weather but it was sure to offer warmth and food in the like of the day's attitude and temperature. The building that it was attached to was just an array of small stores almost like a hotel leading to a restaurant and other stores but next to the right the building looked very metallic, maybe because of it's color a steamy silver. It was a mask shop from what she could make out they looked creepy realistic in her aspect. They were set out for all to see, a thing of nightmares but the worn out old man outside was hanging a screaming face to the hooks that stuck out of a large wooden board that must have been painted white, once. Now, it was cracked and it's oily hue revealing it's natural tones as the nails were also pretty rusty. The mask were mostly ghastly pale many had bright reds slashing through the colorless faces, the eyes were just blank raven colorless holes. Some had what Hinata assumed fake hair stuck to their tops. Past the man was were she had observed her escort, Chojuro burst inside. It was a wooden building, a cabin almost it had a nice color it must have been painted recently. Hinata sighed at it's tan tone. The older lady saw her approaching and warmly greeted her,

" Hello, there." She said, giving Hinata a subtle wave. A bit taken back Hinata returned the warm gesture.

" Hello, Ms-?" Hinata paused awaiting for a response from the older lady. She peeked inside the door tipping over she rose a brow.

" Just call me Mother." She stated, Hinata nodded slowly in a bit of confusion,

" I honestly am hating this weird village." Hinata thought." Yes, I'm Hyuga Hinata." Hinata said, firmly as she bowed politely as the elder bowed back.

" A Hyuga?" She asked, a but untimely. Hinata again nodded.

" Yes-" The older woman cut her off.

" What brings you to the mist?" She asked as Hinata's temper a bit mixed from the sudden rude interruption but she continued with a modest tone.

" I-I came for sight seeing." She lied. " Damn, I've lied so much today?" She thought, as she let a small thin smile spread across her lips.

" Ahh!" She exclaimed, " Nothing really worth seeing, sweetie-" She explained. " I'm sorry, but everything here is either muddy, or rainy." She stated, as she turned back and politely lead the way inside. Hinata cautiously followed with the dark skies covering what she presumed was sunrise. The road was dirt, but quickly changed into tile as she took a step inside the small restaurant. The warmth wrapped itself around her as she sighed happily as the bitter weather died down. The tile was a spew of grey spirals it was lovely as it matched the dark french grey counter. It was surprisingly spacious inside the kitchen must have been hidden behind a large crimson door, as the counter was set directly next to the bright opening, with matching high stools to it's side. A fair number of tables were set up in a spacious form they were given a heavy amount of space between each table and it wasn't weird most people enjoyed privacy especially when eating, right? Hinata peered around and in a bit of surprise saw that Chojuro was seated at the far end of the metallic counter. He was bubbly speaking away to the young waitress, Hinata sighed. " He's like that, honey." The older woman spoke as Hinata lifted a brow in question to her comment.

" What?" She thought, suddenly her eyes enlarged. " Oh!" She exclaimed as she waved her hands. "No, I- We're not like that." She quickly drew her hands into an x formation, denying all previous accounts.

" Oh, so-" She pointed back at Chojuro, " You're only friends?" She asked as Hinata nodded slightly."Well, go sit then." The older woman beckoned for her to sit next to her companion.

" Yeah." Hinata said as she slowly inched towards Chojuro. He never once turned to face her as she sat, Hinata laid her hands in front of her but she let them crumple into a steep fist. She sighed a bit but he never turned. From behind her she heard sighs and bickering about breakfast items. The small steps behind Hinata gave her no freight no they gave her a reassuring sense, as they swiftly crossed over the counter to be facing her directly.

" Hello, again Hinata." She said, Hinata struggled a bit but quickly remembered the woman's previous notion of her name,

" Hello, Mother." She spat quietly, " She's not my family, and now I'm being referred to by my first name." Hinata thought, with a smirk.

" Chojuro!" The same woman exclaimed as he quickly dropped his conversation turning to face the elder.

" Yes-" He cried, sitting up straight.

" Pay attention to your friend!" She motioned to Hinata giving her a slight smirk.

" Yes, mama." He spoke as he rose a hand to his forehead.

" You're-?" Hinata's eyes showed her confusion.

" Mother, yes." The older woman gave the waitress next to her an eye as the girl quickly took up a rag and menu's and sped out from behind the counter with little linger.

" Mama-" He started, a whine in his voice as he begged.

" No-" She said, turning to face Hinata as she finally got a good look at her. She was a short woman five feet at most. Her eyes were weary as her skin drooped giving her a higher an older aspect. Yet, she was no older than fifty. Her hair was a pastel blue it was long and thickly strongly as it was held in a simple braid, that hung over her shoulder. Her clothing was quite unique, a high touch of rosy in her blouse with her coat was a imperial violet as it covered over her it gave her a larger figure her pants matched her coat, and her boots were a deep shade of ebony. " Hinata, I apologize for my son's behavior." She pointed over to her son roughly. " He's kinda of an idiot." She said.

" Mom-" He whined as he slumped his head onto the counter,

" No, mom." She spoke. " Look, my son needs to marry soon." She lowered herself as she slumped on the counter. " You seem to be almost perfect, I've heard about-"

" Mom, I'm on a job!" Her son cried.

" Oh!" She exclaimed as she thought she gave Chojuro an eye, " Then what are you doing here?" She asked.

" Hinata-sama was hungry!" He said, his mother pursed her lips.

" Okay, I'll go get you two some tea, and cookies." His mother said cautiously. As she passed her son she crooked her neck to the side instantly pointing to Hinata. She gave them both a deep glare as she back out the door, still facing her son and Hinata. They both sat silently for a moment, before Chojuro shook his head.

" Sorry, she does this a lot." He explained as he shook in remembrance.

" Yes, I understand." Hinata said, she nodded and he gave a look of bitter happiness.

" You understand?!" He exclaimed. " All your parents want for you to do is marry as well?" He asked a smile planted on his lips. Hinata lifted a hand to his back, patting it softly.

" No." She said flatly as she shook her head in response.

" Guh." He lowered his head, slamming it on the counter once more. Hinata sighed in awkwardness,

" Nope, this is going to be a long day." She thought, as she gave a sincere smile happily pulling her arm away from his back. He rose his head as he faced her he looked almost reduced to tears,

" Oh!" He lifted his head. "Sorry, I forgot, you're getting married, right?" He asked as Hinata shook her head. " No-" He thought, " But, I thought that you and the Hokage were dating for a long time now?" Hinata swallowed hard,

" Nope." She said as He cocked his head to the side facing the door.

" Well, I'm sure he'll ask soon." He assured her Hinata only gave a slight giggle.

" I swear, He won't." She thought, but only gave him a nod as he held his head on the table top.

" Mom, can't wait for me to have kids." He crammed as he held his tears.

" Grand kids are sweet to think of-" She tried to make him feel better.

" Yeah-" His mother burst through the door, happily wielding a serving plate that held a tea set. Three cups and a kettle.

" Three?" Hinata thought though she refused to let her eyes show her intention, " Lovely." She said, as Chojuro mother sat the plate down before them as she hastily pulled her hands form the metallic bang of the counter.

" I brought oo-long, hope you don't mind." She said, as she slammed the cup in front of Hinata who jumped back a bit, but rubbed her cheek in the heat of the tea.

" Cookies, mom?" Chojuro asked, his mother gave him a nasty eye before grunting and walking back into the back room. " She's swell." He said, giving Hinata an eye.

" Yes, she's very sweet." Hinata said, as he gave her a worrying she quickly steered off. " You know that she only means well, right?" She lifted a finger into the air, waving it around a bit. He simply rose his gaze,

" I suppose." He muttered, Chojuro reached over to pick up the kettle it was a tan sandy color. He gave her a smirk as he lifted the kettle into her view. Hinata nodded, tilting it forward as he poured the boiling liquid inside her bright blue cup. Slowly he eased his hand up, letting a few drops plunge into the cup rippling the picture of Hinata's warm flushed face. " You know-" He started flatly as he himself poured the warm tea into his machining mug. " You could just skip out on this mission, and rest-" He eased his hand steady letting the last drops pour into his formed cup. " Since, Sasuke-sama seems to always finish them without any heed, right?" He asked a smirk placed onto his lips.

" Sasuke." Hinata thought as She took up her cup, gleaming with a smile. " Chojuro-kun-" Hinata pressed her eyes, she could feel the heat of the tea on her upper lip. She slowly blew the steaming air, " H-how did you know that Sasuke-kun came along with me." She spat as she tilted her cup back to her mouth.

" Oh!" He started. " You don't know do you?" He asked, his voice became lower than a whisper, but his tone remained teasing.

" No..?" Hinata said, slowly she let her cup lower to her thighs, letting the broiling hot cup sit over her.

" Yeah, you probably don't-" He said as he held his cup in his hands, playing a bit with it as he passed it from one hand and over to the other. " You know how Sasuke-sama went berserk that one time?" He asked, as he lifted his cup to his lips.

" He wasn't berserk, you dult." Hinata thought as lift her cup to her lips she smirked as she took a small sip, before completely leaving her mouth with a sullen expression, " You mean when he left my village?" She asked, letting the steam consume her.

" Yes, well, yeah-" He spat a bit flustered, " As agreement per law, the leaf is not allowed to let Sasuke out of the village without the approval, or knowledge of all three other major village." Hinata pressed her lips as she gave him a grave stare. " The mist, stone, and sand." He pursed his lips, sighing as he lifted his cup to his mouth.

" What?" She thought, Hinata lowered her gaze as she noticed his stare he was waiting for her to respond. " W-well, I guess." She mumbled, barely audible.

" Yes." Chojuro spoke slowly, sipping his tea. Hinata felt her arms become a bit heavy,

" So, do you know where he is?" She asked, as she limply sat her cup on the counter in front of them.

" Of course we all know-" He blew his tea, Chojuro remained silent for a moment not bothering to continue. Hinata sighed, biting her lower lip she tugged it down.

" Really?" Hinata thought. " Ahem!" She coughed, nudging him a little with her elbow.

" Oh!" He smirked, " He didn't tell you that either, huh?" Chojuro huffed.

" No." Hinata muttered, anger begging to release itself.

" He's with Lady Mizukage." He said in a low tense voice it shook as Hinata realized his sudden absence without reason.

" He could have just told me?" Hinata wondered as she regained her knowledge she quickly spoke out, "Ohh!" She flattened her hands on the counter, turning to face Chojuro. " I forgot!" She lifted a hand to her cheek, shaking her head in shame. " He mentioned that earlier- Before we left the-" He eyed her carefully, but she easily continued without so much of a bat of her lashes. " I must have not been paying any attention, I'm sorry." She shook her head low, as he lifted his hands in a assuring manner.

" No! No-It's fine!" He cried, as Hinata lowered her head in a bow.

" Really?!" She cried out, Chojuro nodded.

" Thanks-" The door leading to the back door was thrown open as Chojuro Mother crammed out the door with two plate one filled with the sweet dumplings dango, and perfectly wrapped onigiri. " I thought he said, cookies?" Hinata thought as she gave the older woman a thin smile. A tap to her shoulder made her turn her head to her companion. Chojuro rose a lone finger over his lips as he winked and Hinata just gave him a slight nod.

" I brought food for my future-daughter-in law!" She exclaimed. Hinata let the smile remain on her lips as her mind began to shriek in different manners, one in defined announcing for her to make a run for it but she just harshly wrapped her legs around her stools leg unwilling to leave.

" It's going to be a long day, alright." She muttered through gritted teeth.

" Did you pack everything sweetie?" Mikoto asked, as she pulled at her youngster's cherry nose. Sasuke nodded but Mikoto eyed him suspiciously. " Where are your shoes Sasuke-chan?" She asked, He quickly darted his gaze to his feet seeing only a pair of pearly sock he shot a look to his mother who was equally puzzled at her attentiveness. " Go put them on honey, Mommy'll wait for you." She patted his back, as she lead him to the dark cherry door. Sasuke gave her a cheeky look before promptly stomping inside with a huff.

" I don't need shoes-" He muttered under his breath as he slid the door closed behind him. He stared at the hall that lead him into the living room, his house was an ivory shade as the floor matched with it's cool tones with that he sighed at how neat everything was. He turned to face the self where he was meant to leave his shoes. Slippers, large dress shoes, a few boots, but not his shoes. " I left them in the room, again?" He winced at the thought. " If mom finds out I wore them inside I'll be in trouble again." He shook his head at the monstrous thought.

" Sasuke-" Mikoto voice rang through the door, the house was bitterly quite as his father must have been getting ready for work and his brother must have been resting from his last mission.

" Crud." He muttered between closed teeth but he swiftly pulled forward. Running through the hall as he attempted to dash into his room retrieve said item and shove them on at the door's steps. He took a sharp right, leading off into a small dead end luckily the end was his room. He smirked at his speed, " I don't even think big brother could match-" He was pushed back slightly as he quickly shut his eyes at the light pain that pinned on his forehead. He knew this pain well enough, he grumbled as he peeked open an eye to see the two pale fingers that always seemed to dig through his mind. " Aww!" He mouthed as he quickly pushed his head back and rose his hands to cup the sore purple bruise. " Itachi-!" His brother quickly took his hand and clamped his brother's mouth shut.

" Shh!" He mouthed, as he took a single finger to his own mouth. Sasuke nodded as his brother eased his grip around his lips and let it fall to his side. " You shouldn't walk around the house with shoes, Sasuke." He shook his head in disapproval but eased up to look back at him.

" Itachi-I-I'm sorry, I wanted to go get some cookies from Aunt Uruchi, and Uncle Teyaki-" He looked almost dammed at his actions; as the words spewed over each other, " And then they asked if I wanted to take some home-and I said yes so, I took them all and ran home at like ten at night, and my bed time is nine, so I was already breaking curfew, and Mom and Father were looking for me, so I took my shoes off, and tried to creep into my room, but then that made too much noise so, I went back outside and climbed the roof, and I didn't even get to eat the cookies, they're under my bed-!" He stopped as he gulped up a large amount of air, Sasuke stared up at his older brother.

" Okay-" His brother sighed as he pressed his eyes for a moment as he seemingly made up his mind,

" I'm really sorry! I didn't mean to- I just wanted cookies, and-" His brother nodded as he crouched to Sasuke's level,

" Now Sasuke, I'm breaking some rules here too, so in exchange for immunity-" He paused with a slight grin as he thought back,

" Anything!" Sasuke whimpered, as his Brother grinned.

" The cookies." He said, his eyes appearing tired. Sasuke blankly nodded and pointed into his room. "Okay, then-" Itachi turned his head as searching the empty hall, Sasuke stood still in question. Itachi turned himself as he turned he grabbed something behind his figure, he grunted as he pulled up a pair of small sized, black boots. " Here." He passed them over to his brother.

" You-Thank you!" Sasuke exclaimed as he hopped onto his brother, Itachi held him by an arm tightly as Sasuke breathed in relief.

" Now hurry along, I was late for the first day- they made me sit in the back with some of the noisier kids." He taped his forehead, again this time a bit softer then the harsh previous bump. Sasuke nodded fiercely,

" Will I see you for dinner?" He asked his brother as Itachi smiled for a brief second before digging his hand into Sasuke's ink colored hair, and rustling it.

" I'm not certain, but I don't think they'll call me out this early." He sighed, but still he let his hand fall to his younger brothers cheek as Sasuke smiled diminished as well as his glee, until his brother quickly added,

" But- I think I will." As fast as it went it reappeared into a smug smile on his young and bouncy face, Sasuke's grin widened as it turned from ear to ear.

" Really?!" He exclaimed and His eyes enlarged to his brothers hope.

" Yes, and-" He turned to look around again, " I'll have a present for the our new ninja!" He whispered, Sasuke's mouth fell open. " Really, really?" He asked and Itachi nodded happily.

" Yes, now run along now." He passed over Sasuke's shoes. He happily took them up and nodded sheepishly. Itachi stood to his normal height stretching his arm length wise a bit as he patted his brother's head and without restrain Sasuke pushed himself over his brother tightly wrapping himself over the brothers thin waist.

" I love you, big brother." Sasuke whispered, Itachi's head ached with sleep but he mustered the words with ease,

" I love you more than anything, my little brother." He slid a hand around his smaller form and held it with a great pain as he ached all over. He slowly released him and Sasuke offered a simple nod. Itachi pushed him back lightly as Sasuke flew forward with great speed and Itachi smirked as he called above his brother's steps, " Say hello, to Hinata-chan later for me!" He could hear the sudden halt of his brother's feet.

Confused a bit, Sasuke exclaimed, " I will." He heard the embarrassment in his words as he sprinted down the hall. " I'll stop by Hina-chan's house later, and later tell her all about the Ninja academy!" He thought in glee.

Sasuke quickly sprung out of the door, holding his shoes on his chest as his mother gazed towards him.

" Were gonna be late-" She lowered her head. " Again." Mikoto shook her head in shame.

" Well, better late than never, right?" He asked with glee.

" I suppose, but it's the first day." With that, Mikoto took hold of her child's hand and gave him a questioning look. " When are you going to put your shoes on?" She asked, as she stared at him.

" I should-do that now, huh?" He asked as his Mother nodded lightly. Sasuke sat at the porch slowly slipping on the boot over his pale feet as he tied them with great effort.

" And I wanted to see Hinata-chan's Mother before-"

" Hinata's going to school?!" Sasuke exclaimed as he slipped on the other boot with no effort, he hastily tucked his laces into the pocket folds at the top of the shoe.

" Yeah, weird right?!" Sasuke took flight as he seemingly sprinted away,

" Mom! Hurry!" He shouted as he hurtled through the busy street,

" Well, someone has a crush-" Mikoto thought as she pulled her purse onto her shoulder.
