Hello minna! Here is a new chapter of The World in the Wrong Hands, and I hope that you like it.
DISCLAIMER: I don't own the characters of Fairy Tail.
Enjoy!
Lucy's POV
A few days have passed since the fight against Xavier. Everything seems peaceful now, but I still get the feeling that I am being watched. Natsu has become possessive again and never lets me out of his sight. It gets kind of annoying but also cute at the same time.
"Lucy! Be careful!" He yelled as I almost tripped over a crack in the ground.
"You have to be more aware of your surroundings Lucy." My eyes widened. I didn't even know that he knew the word "aware".
"Don't worry so much! I'll be fine."
He pouted cutely and started to blush a little bit. Awwww, he's adorable. Fortunately, Mira doesn't know of anything, but she still looked happy-go-luck, like she knew something about my visions or thoughts.
"We don't know, Zeref could be watching us now."
I forgot all about that, and I guess that could give a reason for Natsu to get worried about me. But, how come he doesn't act like this with any of the other guild members?
Well, let's let that go and worry about something else.
"OI! What was that for, flame brain?"
"What are ya talkin' about, ice princess?"
"That's it!"
That's when the brawl began. It's so fun to watch Fairy Tail so lively. The fight went on for what felt like hours until Erza came along and cracked their necks.
"That's ENOUGH!"
"A-aye s-sir!" They both grumbled, scared for their lives as they held onto each other, dancing.
"Good."
As they were distracted, I snuck out of the guild, trying to get away from Natsu. It's not like I don't want him around, it's just that I don't want him following me around like a lost puppy.
I hadn't been talking to Akiko that often anymore, but I knew that she would be at my apartment sleeping or something. I allowed her to stay and sleep on my bed, while when Natsu came, he would sleep on the couch, and I would sleep on the floor.
Both Natsu and Akiko refused the first time I moved my mouth to tell them, but they had to go along with it anyway.
I walked along next to the river.
"Be careful! Don't fall in!"
"I'll be fine! I promise!"
My apartment was right around the corner as I felt a dark presence breathing down my neck, making my freeze. Oh no. I ran as fast as I could to my apartment and attempted to unlock the door with my key. It took a while, but I finally made it in without getting hurt. Panting, I quickly locked the door and sighed in relief when I didn't feel the presence anymore.
"What happened?!" Akiko asked in a frantic way. Her face showed concern and worry all over it.
"Nothing, it's fine now." I need to hide this from Natsu and the others, or they will get too frantic and be at my side everywhere.
"Tell me the truth."
"No," I argued back with a hard death glare going her way.
Natsu's POV
As I was fighting with Elfman, I noticed something missing. I looked over to the stool that Lucy usually sits on only to find a pile of dust on it. No. I promised that I wouldn't let her out of my sight, but now...
I ran out the door and went looking for her everywhere. First I started looking by the Sakura trees and then to the hill where we usually stargaze together.
"Lucy...where are you?" I muttered under my breath. I was starting to panic and was afraid that she had been captured again. But there was one place that I didn't check... her apartment.
I am so stupid! How could I have not looked in the most obvious place she would be? I ran over to the back of the apartment and climbed up the tree leading to her window.
I opened it up and saw a sight that made me sigh in relief.
"No," Lucy said firmly while glaring at Akiko.
"Lucy!" I ran up to her and hugged her with all of my might.
"You scared me to death. Never leave my side again." I said while smelling her silky, blonde hair.
"Sorry... it's just that you have been so clingy lately that I had to get away when I had the chance. I'm sorry that I worried you."
I hugged her even tighter.
I noticed that Akiko didn't look so happy.
"Well.. are you going to explained what just happened now?"
"I'm sorry... I just don't want to worry you."
Worry us about what? What is she talking about? Did something happen while she was coming home? My eyes became slits and rage started going through my body.
"What happened?!"
"Nothing you need to worry about!"
I let it go, knowing that she would refuse to tell me even if I had made her go up against Erza.
"Fine... but you will tell me eventually."
She sighed while trying to calm down.
"I promise."
Akiko was just standing there, satisfied with that she would tell us when the time comes.
"I need to take a bath.. don't bother me."
Lucy walked over to her closet and took out some pajamas. I then noticed that it was almost completely dark outside.
"Oiii... Natsu, why didn't you wait for me?" Happy flew in through the window looking exhausted.
"O-oh! Sorry Happy! I forgot about you there!"
"That's because you loooooove her!" He puffed out his cheeks and started to hold in his laughter.
I started to get pissed off, but I held it in not wanting to hurt him.
Lucy came out with her towel in her hair and in her pink pajamas. I started to get this weird feeling in my chest that has never happened before. Oh well, its not like it will happen again.
"Oh.. Happy is here. Well now we can all join together to eat dinner."
She went to her kitchen and started cooking up some meals that all of us would like. She made me some fire chicken, Happy got some fish, and Akiko got a salad.
After we all ate, we went to the place where Lucy and I usually go out to stargaze.
I saw all the stars sparkle in the sky. It was beautiful.
"I never knew that the sky could be as magnificent as this." Akiko said with her eyes bright and filled with life.
"Well, maybe you should stargaze more often." Lucy smirked. I sniffed. Someone was behind us.
"Watch out!" I got everyone out of there while the enemy caused a giant explosion. I looked to see if anyone was injured, but the worst they had were a few scratches.
"I am working for Zeref. Now, you are going to give me Lucy Heartfilia."
"Never," I snarled. I knew that this would be a tough fight.
Hello minna! I know I just updated yesterday, but I wanted to write more to pass the time.
MANGA SPOILER
NOOOOO! Why Mashima?! WHY?! You just had to make Fairy Tail disband. I was sooo sad when Natsu left to go on the journey, but he is going so he can protect Lucy right?
There was a beautiful Gruvia moment too.
