(Sorry it took so long for part 2. I didn't know people were actually reading them. So I stopped looking at it for request for part 2.)

Part Two!

Van has a hold of Wendy's boss from his collar of his shirt with his sword so close to his neck you can see his sweat roll down the blade. Inu grabs Vans arm with tears in his eyes.

"Please, don't kill me! I promise I will never touch her ever again!"

Van wont let him go. Wendy can see the fire in his eyes.

"He'll kill him if I don't do anything about it. Then again he is a sleaze ball, and deserves it…. No, as much as I would like him to, I just can't let him do something like that."

Wendy thought to herself.

"Van, I'm fine now. Please let him go."

Van hasn't moved a muscle. He still has Inu by the shirt, staring him down. Inu looks into Vans eyes for pity. His face covered in tears and snot. He just couldn't get his vocal cords to make anymore sound. Only thing he could master up was some whimpering sounds.

"VAN, PLEASE! I think he learned his lesson. He's standing in his own puddle of piss for crying out loud."

Vans grip became loser, as the shirt slips out of his hand. Inu collapsed to the floor with his hands covering his face. Shaking like a little dog he is. Wendy never took her eyes off of Van. Van turned to face Wendy.

"It's been a long time, Van. How…."

He cut her off before she could finish her sentence. Grabbed her by the arm and pulled her in. His arms wrapped around her body. Shocked by his actions. Her arms remained motionless.

"It's been far too long."

Van griped her tighter. Her arms started to move on their own and slowly wrapped around him. All of a sudden Wendy starts to cry. Burrowing her face into his chest. Her arms move back down to her side. She then starts continuously hitting him in the chest.

"I can take care of myself now. I don't need any of your help. I've trained myself to fight since you left me. I'm not a kid anymore. I don't…

Van grabbed both her hands. Staring into her teary eyes. He then puts a small smile on his face. Her arms felt like jell-o.

"Why did you leave me all alone? Was I a burden to you?"

He gently put her arms back to her side. Wiping away her tears.

"I'm sorry. I'm sorry for all the thing that I put you through. I just didn't want that to become your life."

Wendy wiped away her tears.

"It's not your decision to make."

"I know that now. You have no idea what it was like to be on my own without you. Without someone

always being by my side."

Wendy smiled. Van looked at her with a smile.

"Let me take you to my house."

He reached out for Wendy's hand. She grabbed it. As they walked past her boss she made an even bigger smile.

"I QUIT!"

She yelled. Everyone in the room were still watching them leave the diner in shock. As Wendy took him back to her place all she could think of is all the old times. All the fun, and adventures they went through. The last thing that popped up in her mind before they reached her house was the day he left her.

"So this is your place, huh?"

"Yeah, it's not very much, but I just needed somewhere to sleep and eat. I was just working there to save enough money to move. I was pretty close to it, but now I don't know what I'm going to do."

Van looked at Wendy with concern.

"How long has she been here?"

He thought to himself.

"Sweet home, sweet home. It's not much, but I get by."

It's a small house that she pays rent on.

"Are you hungry, or thirsty? I can make us some dinner if you would like?"

"Wendy's cooking huh? It's both frightening and exciting."

Van thinks to himself.

"You know me. I can always eat."

Wendy smiles, and heads to the kitchen. A few minutes later he can smell a mouth watering aroma from the kitchen. Wendy walks out with two plates of steak and potatoes. She sets them down on the table.

"Come and eat."

With a cheerful face, she points to his seat. Van gets up, and stares at the food she had just cooked.

"Is there something wrong with it?"

"No, of course not. Just give me all your condiments!"

Wendy sighs and walks back to the kitchen. As she stares into the fridge, she just starts laughing.

"Seems like nothing change so far."

She whispers to herself. She walks out with all the condiments that she could find, and sets them on the table. He grabs them all and starts dousing his food with them.

"DELICOUSE!"

Van yells. As he kicks back, and rubs his tummy. Wendy starts laughing even harder than before. With tears coming from her eyes. Van looks at her confused.

"What's so funny?"

"Nothing… Just nothing has really changed with you, has it? It makes me happy to see you like this.

Van blushes and pulls his hat down to cover his face.

"Yeah well…. I see you still have your hair the same way as before."

"I kept it like that so if I ever saw you again you would know it was me. Do they look that bad?"

"No, I never said that. They look great on you… I mean, I did recognize you when I saw you, even without your hair braided."

Wendy's cheeks were like roses, they were so bright and red. She got so embarrassed that he would see so she covered her cheeks with her hands.

"Well I bet you're pretty tired. You can sleep in my bed tonight. I can sleep on the couch."

She took Van and showed her room. He put his hat on her desk and jumped on the bed. Putting his arms behind his head.

"It's nice to finally sleep in a real bed."

"….. Where have you been?"

Van turned over on his side away from Wendy.

"I'm pretty tired Wendy."

"I'm sorry….. Good night?"

As she slowly shut the door, she never left her eyes off of him. Sighing, she walked into the living room. Threw herself on the couch like a bag of bones.

"Where has he been?"

She thought to herself. As she finally starts to drift off she starts hearing Van tossing and turning, mumbling stuff in his sleep. She jumps out of the couch. Races to the bedroom. She can't quit make out what's happening. She can't understand anything he's saying. She runs over to him. She starts shacking him viciously.

"VAN, PLEASE WAKE UP! VAN! "

Van jumps up grabbing Wendy by the neck. Wendy is shocked, and doesn't know what to do. After a second her mind turns back on.

"VAN, IT'S ME. IT'S WENDY!"

She's grabbing Vans hands that are wrapped around her neck. Van finally comes back to reality. He slowly pulls his hands away. He looks at his hands, shocked at what he did. He looks back up at Wendy. Upset at what he did, he slowly turned around and looked away at Wendy.

"VAN, PLEASE! TELL ME WHAT GOING ON!"

Still upset at what he has done, he never turns back around.

"Wendy, I'm so sorry. I never… I never want to hurt you."

"It wasn't your fault, Van. You were having a nightmare. Please, can you tell me what's going on?"

"I really don't want to talk right now."

"Van, please! You have to tell me something!"

He turned back to face Wendy.

"I'm sorry, I promise to tell you, but not right now. Just please, give me that."

"Fine…"

Wendy sits on the bed beside him. She grabs him and pulls him closer. She puts her arms around him tight.

"I'm always here for you. You've known that. My feeling will never change for you. You know that I care for you so much."

"….Do you really care for me that much?"

"Yes… I have always cared for you. I have always wanted to tell you this…. See the other girls got to tell you they loved you, and wanted you. I never got the chance to tell you that I lo….

Van caressed her cheek, forcing her to look him in the eyes. She froze. She couldn't find the word to say anymore. His eyes were deeply gazed into hers. He leaned in and kissed her. Her heart pounding, her cheeks lit up, and her body frozen in time. He released and stared back into her eyes.

"I love you too"
