Took a while but i finally got this chapter done hehe. Note; I will eventually edit some of these last few chapters so that it's a little better than usual and people don't cringe when they read my stuff haha

"You're brother is really powerful..." commented Setsuna as Sophia arrived, she saw Konoka sitting on a rock next to a cave. She nodded, "He is, but taking on so many enemies will be too much for him."
"Should we help him then?" just then, the sky lit up with several pillars of fire behind them. Looking back, Sophia shook her head. "No, he may not look like it, but he's one of those people who seem to be.. an idiot?"
Setsuna was then looking at the carnage, if she didn't know any better she would think that this was way too random. "I wonder how they found this place..." she asked. Sophia answered the question, "It's possible that they had a scout, or possibly were able to track us from the previous battle."
"It's more likely that they followed us."
Both girl's turned to the voice and saw Sojiro. They sighed as they had their weapons drawn. "I met up with Richard before the fight, He say's that he'll catch up later, and to blow up the portal."
"But that.."
"He won't be able to get to the Magic world right now, but he says we can't risk a portal to the enemy." he said.
The decision is a logical one, right now the enemy has no means of getting to the magic world. Despite the gate under Mahora, it does not work anymore. And since then Sosuke had been trying to war with the Mages but neither side has gained anything yet. That's what the current events are.
"That makes sense, the battle lines between Souske and the Megalo Senate are more or less stable... Kind of weird how they can have a full scale war without the world knowing.." Sophia said.
It was weird, maybe both sides have a spell on everyone? it's not a secret that part of japan was taken by an unknown force, but it does look as if the world does not really know about the war.
Setsuna stared at ground for a while, how did this happen? she thought to herself. remembering something she looked at Sophia, but it seems that her face had already asked the girl the question she was going to ask, "Don't worry about our fight, As long as you get you're head out of your butt by the time we get some help. Meanwhile we should get going and-"
The earth then shook, something sounding like a faraway explosion had occurred to the east.
Feeling the power from that, Setsuna's face paled, "That's... Impossible..." the group felt the massive power coming from the direction of Mahora Academy.
"Do you know this power?" asked Sophia, who seemed very distressed towards the power.
"Yeah, thats-!?" They saw the fiery wave in the air roaming across the sky. The temperature rose an additional 20 degrees despite the wave being far into the sky.
Setsuna let her head down and finished, "that's the enemy who attacked mahora.. their leader."
Sophia was looking at her in the corner of her eye before looking at the passing roaring wave. Now she understood what they were dealing with, and this wasn't some mere man.. not even a monster or a demon... "It's almost like a God has come to unleash his wrath..." Sophia said to herself.
Sojiro felt that the energy from this person was familiar, but because he lost his memories from before, he doesn't remember where he felt this energy. They all knew it was coming from Mahora, so the question was who was the Enemy Leader fighting...
"I think it's time to go, even if we decided to go back to mahora, there's no way any of us have the power to stop that Man..." Stated the Cat-girl.
"Yeah, i think that is for the best..."
They noticed that in the wake of that fire wave, the fighting in the village stopped. If only for a small time.
"Let's go..." They entered the cave, which lead to a teleport circle that would take them to the Magic world.

Evangeline had activated her Magia Erebea at the right moment and shielded herself and Al. The explosive spell Souske had used was powerful enough to nearly shatter her shield.
"Wow... I didn't think you could pull off such a spell yet still be standing like you are boy.." Eva said casually.
"Don't flatter me, it's not easy to cast ancient fire magic from another dimension." the man in question retorted seemingly tired. He was right though, he did just use a magic spell from another world in this one, that made it harder for some reason. "I wouldn't be surprised of people around the world felt a earthquake and a wave of fire across the sky. That's how powerful the magic itself is."
Eva and Al stood as the ice shield shattered away, she was low on magic now. But that was because of the school curse, which was going to get released when they found Negi's father... coincidentally this guy came along and destroyed everything.
"Your power seems on par with some meat heads I know, though you seem a little stronger..." Eva commented.
Souske shrugged, "Alas, I may be powerful but the likes of those such as Jack Rakan would be a difficult foe for me to beat."
"Then how did you defeat Negi-kun?" asked Al.
"I simply just held the lives of everyone in Mahora Hostage." he answers, "He knew that if we fought our hardest, people would die."
"Interesting... I like you a little bit now.. But you forgot something..." Eva said coldly as the air around them started to freeze, "I won't hesitate to use my full power here." Her Ice powers skyrocketed freezing the air around them until they were in a ice cocoon. "It's a little chilly in here..." Al commented rubbing his shoulders.
From outside it looked as if a giant sphere of ice appeared over Mahora.
Which gave people on the ground the chance to move.
"So you don't intend of letting me go then?" asked Sosuke.
Eva smirked as her eyes turned black, "I intend on squashing you flat."
Souske regained his fighting stance, "Then I too will fight with everything I have."
A chill went over Evangeline down her back, the eyes he was giving.. This man needs to die... Eva knew that some wanted Sosuke alive, but seeing the eyes this man held reminded her too much the Lifemaker.
Eva moved first appearing behind Souske and delivered a devastating blow that sent him flying into the wall of the cocoon and soon afterword fired of more magic, "Nivis Tempestas Obscurans x40!" Sosuke's side had exploded with blood, when he watched Eva use the ice spells without chanting, his eyes widened. As he hit the wall the spells came at him, exploding.
Al watched the fight as the spells exploded the spot where Sosuke was hit. "Kitty's Magia Erebea allows her to use any spell below High Class without the need for incantations or restrictions... a broke ability..." he recalled what Eva was capable of now, even if Souske had a counter, he would eventually lose.
Of course, Eva didn't seem to convinced about what happened. She knew she damaged him, but when she hit him it almost felt like hitting a squishy substance. "How crude..."
"if you think my methods are crude, then maybe you should see how crude i really am." Sosuke's form appeared from the Ice shards, she then knew that he had dabbled in something she didn't expect.
"You have some sort of regenerating powers?" asked Eva. Souske appeared with a slime-like substance over the parts of his body that were damaged. The strange goo bubbled in his wounds and his energy didn't seem to drop from it too much. "What the heck is that?"
"It's a research project I had my colleagues create. A substance that could heal even the most grievous wounds." he explained.
"And how does that work?" she asked.
"I simply inject myself with the serum. It took a while to perfect it as previous attempts usually turned people into slimes. Otherwise, it activates when I would suffer a wound. It does not use much energy and increases the ability of my body." He said... "It basically gives me enhancements for a small duration of time after being healed. Rejuvenating my body." His power erupted from his body as he began again for the next assault,
"It gives me more than enough to defeat you." he held his hand out and a black orb started to form. It was the size of a baseball, but the feeling coming from it was.. powerful.
"Fu...this got complicated." Eva commented as the ice began forming around her. Al seemed to recognize the danger and moved back. That blast is capable of destroying mahora twice!
That's when Sosuke started to chant, without an Activation Keyword. "Oh God of the other world, by the river of death render all asunder and bring death."
The spell sounded like it was going to be a big one so Eva as well started chanting, but he was still a good verse ahead of her, "Lic Lac la lac Liac; Heed the Contract of serve me, O Queen of Ice!"
"Children of Styx, wash the worthy, cleanse the unclean, wipe the sins of their souls, give them your Lies of Glory and make them fall!"
"Come Everlasting Darkness, the Eternal Glacier!"
But while he had started ahead, Evangeline noticed that her spell was shorter than his own, but he was just as adept of using it as a Master Mage.
"Wipe their Existences, and Raze all that stands in you'r way!" "Bring Death to all that has Life, Eternal Rest!"
Al erected a powerful magic barrier as Sosuke and Evangeline chanted, the ice sphere had begun to crack under the pressure,
"Death River!" "End of the World!" Both had finished their chants at the same time
The resulting explosion not only shattered through the Ice sphere, but it also created a shock wave great enough to destroy several blocks of mahora.
"Huh, you were able to deflect most of my attack into the air? Indeed, you are one of the most powerful people in existence as well..." muttered Souske.
Alberio appeared from the falling Ice, "We had prepared a reflection barrier over Mahora before the fight began as a counter measure in case you used a magic that could destroy it. Your spell was more impressive than I thought it would be hence my own shock."
Sosuke looked down, indeed Mahora suffered structural damage but it still didn't escape the full onslaught of Sosuke's Death River.
"Ah, it seems people are critically injured and require help as a result of that too. Would have been better to just let them die." the maniac replied.
"But I thank you.." he said as Evangeline eventually appeared, her Magia Erebea was gone. She looked as if she took major damage, but was regenerating just fine. "If this place was destroyed due to my recklessness, then I would simply have to turn back time and start over."
Al, who went to Eva frowned at this. "Is that something you are capable of at present?"
"I have a few ways to reverse time without having to go back literally."
"Such as?"
"Such as take the Mahora of the Past and place it here." Sosuke remarked.
Al and Eva could only be shocked, while it wasnt easy to understand, what souske said simply meant that if he wanted to, he could just put things back in place. "Countless people could get killed with that..." remarked Eva.
"I didn't think you would even care Evangeline A.K Mcdowell." after a very intense standoff, he eventually sighed saying, "Alas, such methods are too hard to use. So it's good that things turned out exactly as predicted."
"Predicted?" Al asked.
"The rat extermination should be done by now, and I would say that they would make good experiments."
Eva knew what he meant immediately, "Al! They got us!" Eva and Al vanished and a second later a massive beam shot into the sky where they were before.
"Did they give you a hard time Ark?" Sosuke asked the name who appeared behind him a moments later.
The man known as Ark wore similar clothes to the others of Sosuke's group, but he wore a mask that seemed to be a respirator,
"One mouse got away, her presence cannot be felt even by magic tracking. I can only assume she escaped, I am sorry."
The man was holding a strange looking gun. it's shape was like that of a blaster you would see in a movie, but it's distinguished feature was the red eye present on the weapons slider.
"Oh well, nothing to be sorry about. This group is consisted of decently powerful people after all. Pay no mind."
Ark stared at Sosuke for a moment before asking, "I heard Blitz is going to fight Rakan."
"Yes. I had to deal with this first."
"They are already a far way off."
Souske looked at two items floating in the distance. "Magic substitutions... I think we just avoided a disaster."
Ark looked at him questionably. "I mean that if I had truly faced those two in battle I would have been defeated." he stated factually. "I need more time to gather power." he held up something resembling a piece of skin covered in slime,
"Take this to Hashmal, we need to replicate this quickly and read the information. this Magia Erebea... It holds fearsome power, I want it."
Ark nodded taking the sample before vanishing.
"Now... let us visit a wolf boy eh?" he said staring into the sky. I will take this world... soon.
Alberio and Evangeline hid for the time being. Eva was weakened from that last attack and it would take some time to regain her powers.
"I'm still after all cursed to stay here...''
Al nodded. "I was able to fully awaken you'r powers from that fight but when that attack came, those spirits figured me out hahaha."
"Whatever you knew that would happen you freak!" Eva snapped trying to kick him in the head, it naturally phased through him.
"At least we planned ahead with those little doppelgangers. Hahaha." he laughed lightly.
"Bastard..."
"Well now, look what we have here?"
Eva and Al moved back in surprise from the voice that spoke behind them. "Who?"
"Time to go to sleep." the mysterious man let out a plume of dark smoke towards the two. Both were unable get away as Eva suddenly felt weaker than she though possible and she fell.
"Ara ara, you don't fall?" the man asked Al, who seemed just fine.
"It's not my real body so things like that won't effect me."
"yet you can touch others?" the figure asked Al who was standing over Eva.
"Not really, but I can bring some to other places.." the figure moved and right as he got out a black hole spell appeared.
"Wha?!"
"Sorry, but you won't be getting this girl." Al stated as he vanished in a mist along with Evangeline.
"Damn it..." the figure seethed. He held his hand to his ear saying, "They got away."
"It is fine, we already have a sample that we need. No need to chase a rabbit."
"Yes sir." the figure kicked a rock away as he turned off contact. "This bites..well... I already have what I wanted anyway hehe."
The man tuned and walked away, "I gotta see how my pet is doing... wait for me Makie-chan~"

Sophie, Setsuna, Sojiro with Konoka in tow arrived through the portal in a cave. They sent a good several minuets inside before eventually getting out, and into what looked like a massacre.
"What the hell?" asked Sophia as they stared at a land of Lizard men corpses.
"They were waiting for us?" asked setsuna.
Sojiro walked slowly towards the dead bodies. it looked like they were killed very recently.
"I don't know, but we should get going and find the others." Sophia suggested.
"Is your base actually here?" asked setsuna.
"Yeah, that village is just a place we use to get to and from here. It's a homemade gate."
"I see..."
Looking around the area of dead lizard men, Setsuna asked, "I wonder who killed them?"
"That would be me."
They jumped away from the voice behind them and turned, seeing a very strange yet familiar person standing on the rock ledge.
"You're!?" Setsuna and Sophia exclaimed.
The figure grinned at them.

And there you have it.
I would like to say that a while back i had tried doing a souske vs rakan fight... well midway through i changed the direction of the story and decided to do a different plot from all those years ago.(more or less revised)
I have been having a hard time trying to figure how to write the next half of the story but with the idea of the Sequel coming to mind, i surprisingly have a better route to go by now.(again, revised)
I am sorry for lack of update. Been working on the Final battle for this story and slowly working on this chapter. Work and Life also got in the way. *laughs nervously*
I am going to finish up the last little bit of that fight which won't be as long as i thought and start working of the Sequel to this story as i am working on this one since I have been brainstorming.
I have half a brain to release the sequel by the end of this year, even if this story is not finished. But not likely, still doing fine tuning for plot, characters, situations, pasts etc. Just small stuff. But I would say that this current story will be done... at chapter 35? dunno.
Next chapter i will be showing what happened in mahora during the battle and after, it'll be a slightly shorter chapter than the rest of them and I'll start working on the Tournament Arc.(also introducing who it is the small group met in the magic world)
The next chapter will be uploaded in... less than a month I hope.
