So I think that was pretty good timing considering how long it usually takes me so here's the next chapter enjoy.

"Hey Sasuke I've been thinking I know it's only been a couple of days but don't you think it's time we go on a real date?" Naruto suggests "I mean that's what you're supposed to do in the beginning right?"

Sasuke reflects on this and nods his head in agreeance.

"Sure where do you want to go?"

"I want to go to that ramen place I saw while I was walking home!" Naruto proclaims.

"Ramen place?" Sasuke questions "Oh you mean Ichiraku Ramen?"

"Yeah that place, it smelled delicious!"

"Settle down there it's only food."

"Only food?! Hello have you forgotten my name?"

"Yeah I've been meaning to ask you about that, why that name?"

"I don't know why don't we Ouija board my dead parents and ask." Naruto says rolling his eyes.

Sasuke freezes believing he has insulted his boyfriend "I'm sorry."

"What? Oh no, no! That was a joke it doesn't bother me." Naruto assures "It's kinda hard to feel sentimental when you didn't know them."

Sasuke stares at the floor thinking about his own parents.

"Not that it doesn't hurt sometimes, but it doesn't hurt as much as you would think, you know?"

"… not really." Sasuke answers honestly.

"Oh I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to drag that up." Naruto apologizes.

"No it's ok, I don't talk about it often so how would you know it was sore?"

"Still I'm sorry none the less."

"Thanks."

"…Anyway about that date, can we go? Ramen's my favorite food."

"Sure when do you wanna go?"

"Today?" Naruto says skeptical of Sasuke's response.

"Ok, after school then."

"Yay, thank you Sasuke!" Naruto cheers.

"You're welcome." Sasuke smirks "Now get off I have to get to class."

Naruto jumps off his place on Sasuke's lap and starts walking towards his next class while waving at Sasuke. Naruto walks down the empty hallway that leads to his class running into someone in the process.

"Sor- oh it's just you."

"Is that really anyway to speak to me?"

"I really don't give a fuck how you think I should or should not talk to you, I gotta get to class."

He tries to shove past the person but they hold him back.

"Don't you think you're doing a little too much?"

"Don't tell me how to do my job, you gave it to me and I'm doing it so don't judge my work." Naruto bites "You think you can do it better be my guest, I didn't want to do this is the first place, I hate school."

"Don't get smart with me, you know why it has to be you."

"Yeah whatever get out of here before someone recognizes you."

"Naruto-"

"I said get lost I gotta get to class!" he growls.

"Oh please like that puny brain of yours could retain anything."

Naruto feels the hatred boiling in him but restrains himself, being mad is exactly what they want him to be. He was insistent on them not getting any satisfaction out of him, they've already taken too much. With that he continues to class acting as if he had never seen the person. There was no need to be mad, he had a date tonight with his hot boyfriend at a ramen restaurant it couldn't be more perfect. Meanwhile Sasuke feels an itch in the back of his mind, he doesn't know why but all of a sudden he's really mad.

"Kiba I told you I can't hang out today I have a date."

"Right a 'date', you mean like the past two days."

"Actually for your information mister it's a real date, he's taking me to Ichiraku Ramen."

"Fine since it's a real date I'll let it slide but you owe me a hangout day!"

"Tomorrow I promise."

"Don't go making promises you can't keep babe." Sasuke grins staring right at Kiba.

"He's your boyfriend not your property Uchiha." Kiba snarls.

"Kiba's right Sasuke you can't control who I spend time with but if you really want to be with me we can all just hang out together."

Kiba and Sasuke both immediately grimaced.

"On second thought have fun tomorrow, I could use a me day anyway." Sasuke states "Now let's go we have a date today."

Naruto turns to Kiba and winks letting him know it was all a part of a plan before running off after Sasuke.

"See you tomorrow Kiba!" he yells.

Kiba just stares at them walk off for a moment "Those two are such a weird combination."

"I know right?" Suigetsu says from beside him.

Kiba jumps at the sudden intrusion of his bubble but quickly collects himself.

"I would think if anyone would know it would be you."

"You would think right but despite popular belief even though me and Sasuke are best friends he doesn't tell me everything." Suigetsu admits "In fact if I think about it I don't know much about the guy, we just kind of gravitated together because we didn't judge each other and we didn't ask too many things of each other."

"That's kind of sad."

Suigetsu shrugs "Eh it's just how we function, it works for us."

"I guess as long as it works, but if you guys barely used to spend time together as it is don't you feel threatened by Naruto?"

Suigetsu seemed to really think about it before replying.

"Not really Sasuke was such a miserable guy so if he's finally found someone that makes him happy then who am I to be upset, things change, it happens."

That was all Suigetsu had to say even though he was internally really scared of losing his best friend he knew it wasn't his place to get in between him and Naruto. He would just hold out till he had to let go, it was just high school it's not like he would never find another friend.

As Sasuke and Naruto made their way to the restaurant Naruto raged excessively about how his adoptive father had once taken him on a camping trip and abandoned him in the woods for three days.

"I don't believe you."

"He did! He left me there for three days, I had to learn to hunt and scavenge!"

"Oh yeah and what happened when he came back for you?"

"He told me it was for my own good, that time in the wild built character!"

"Still don't believe you, that's just too wild."

"Well whether you believe me or not it happened hence I am an awesome survivalist."

"If you're so confident then prove it let's go camping."

"Oh you are so on I'll prove myself, believe it!"

"…Never say that again."

"What? Believe it?"

"Yes, you sound stupid."

"Funny that's exactly what my adoptive father said."

Sasuke felt insulted being compared to the man who seemed to cause Naruto so much pain.

"Calm down I'm just messing with you everyone says that."

"Stop doing that I keep thinking I'm hurting your feelings."

"Can't you tell whether I'm upset or not?"

"If I did would I be acting so cautious around you? I can barely tell when regular people are upset but you keep a pretty straight face most of the time so I really can't tell."

"Don't worry about me Sasuke I don't offend easily and I joke around a lot, I'm pretty good at turning sore subjects into interesting conversations."

"Why?"

"Because being sad and angry and moping sure isn't doing anything for me."

Sasuke took that comment to heart for a moment, would he have turned out better if he had just let himself stop being so bitter? Had he actually made things harder for himself by holding on? He thought all this time the best thing to do was to hold onto his anger and use it to his advantage to become a more independent and stronger person. Looking at Naruto though he sees that maybe it wouldn't be so bad if he had maybe let it go. Not to say he would ever forgive the bastard but in a way staying mad almost made it seem like he had won.

Woah that was a whole lot of realization for two minutes, why had none of this ever occurred to him before?

"Sasuke can you concentrate on the road so we don't die? We can have deep, emotional thoughts later."

Sasuke snarled at the implication of him having a deep and emotional thought, even though it was true, he was paying attention just fine he was always in control. Naruto thought about telling his boyfriend to stow his pride but decided against it, it probably wasn't the best idea to agitate the driver. Five minutes later they finally reach the restaurant and Naruto is super excited, did he mention ramen was his favorite?

"Come on Sasuke let's go!" he says basically dragging the boy inside the restaurant.

"Ok, ok no need to rip my arm out of its socket."

They step in and seat themselves staring at their surroundings as neither of them had been there before. However they didn't have that long to look as they were soon placing their orders, Sasuke decided to have something simple, Naruto on the other hand was going crazy. He was asking about all these different kind of soups and ingredients and Sasuke was pretty sure he ordered half the menu. Not that he minded, it sure wasn't going to put a dent on him and it made Naruto happy so why not? From then till their food arrived Naruto seemed to be vibrating in his seat, was he some kind of ramen connoisseur?

They enjoyed the meal and had a pretty light and funny conversation, watching Naruto laugh reminded Sasuke why he picked him in the first place. Naruto really was beautiful, too beautiful if we were being honest, but then again Sasuke could say the same for himself. He knew it was shallow and presumptuous of him but he knew he looked good, like really good, which is why he thought him and Naruto were perfect together. They were both unnaturally beautiful, they both had crappy death ridden pasts, and they had decent/fairly interesting conversations what more could Sasuke need? Ok so that sounded pretty terrible when he put it that way but it felt right to him so why not, it was going well so far.

"What are you thinking about?" Naruto asks stopping the inhalation of his food.

"Nothing just that you're really beautiful."

Naruto blushes "Stop thinking weird things and eat your ramen before it gets cold and soggy."

"Or what, you gonna make me if I don't?" Sasuke challenged.

"Don't make me embarrass us."

"Try me."

Naruto begins picking at his noodles until he picks one out and puts one end in Sasuke's mouth. Before Sasuke can figure out what he's doing he quickly finds the other end and slurps it all the way to Sasuke's lips. Sasuke backs away in shock, that was so strange but not unpleasant, definitely embarrassing.

"What the hell was that?"

"Lady and the Tramp?"

"What's that?"

"It's a movie."

"Never seen it."

"You're joking right."

Sasuke just stared him down until he understood that Sasuke had indeed never seen the movie.

"Ok next date is movie night."

"Do we have to?"

"Yes."

"Fine."

Sasuke made it seem like he didn't want to but he actually had never had a movie night. He had never really found an interest in movies, he was more of a book person but he wouldn't mind having a movie night. He just had an inherent feeling that told him it would be boring but who knows he could like it, Naruto seemed to have that effect on him. Making once dull things interesting, he guessed he understood now why people would talk about how that special someone and how they could change everything for them.

"Are you thinking weird thoughts again?"

"Wouldn't you like to know?"

Is everything a challenge with you?"

Sasuke genuinely smiles "Maybe."

Naruto and Sasuke finally go on their first legit date, as always tell me what you think of the chapter I love hearing from you guys and I will see you all later!
