"Bramblestar," said Yummykit, "can we be apprentices?"
"Of course!" he meowed. "ALL DA THUNDERCLANNIES GATHER UNDER DA HIGHLEDGE THINGY!" All the ThunderClan cats, living and dead, gathered in the stone hollow. Everyone was smushed, and some were in the middle of a pile and couldn't see a thing except for the back of the cat in front of them. But Bramblestar didn't care. "These wonderful kits are now six moons in my eyes. They are now Yummypaw and Glitterpaw!"
"Yay!" the Clan screamed at once. Yummypaw and Glitterpaw smiled at all the attention.
"And your mentors will be-" Bramblestar did eenie meenie minie moe through the cats. "-Yellowfang and Ferncloud!"
"What!" the two squished she-cats screamed.
"I'm a medicine cat!" argued Yellowfang.
"And I never really remembered my training!" said Ferncloud. "I only knew how to be a kit machine!"
"Well too bad. Hey - both of you had warrior apprentices!"
"I mentored Runningnose and Cinderpelt! Neither of them were warriors!"
"And I never had an apprentice!"
"Oh. Oh yeah. WELL TOO BAD! Figure it out."
And with that, the two old StarClan she-cats had to figure out who mentored who.
"I WANNA TRAIN YUMMYPAW!11!1!" screamed Ferncloud. "SHE'S THE KIT OF MY DREAMS!"
"Well I wanna train GLITTERPAW!111!11!" yowled Yellowfang. The two continued arguing for no reason. After all, they had both chosen different cats to mentor. Meanwhile, Yummypaw and Glitterpaw sat painting and filing their claws and watched them as they began physically fighting. Yellowfang won.
"YES!" she yowled. "I HAVE WON GLITTERPAW!"
Ferncloud groaned. "But I wanted Yummypaw!" The two StarClan cats didn't seem to realize that their fight was completely worthless. They both cheerfully then walked away with their apprentices like the meaningless fight that almost killed Ferncloud for the second time had never happened.
