Wanted to get this out, didn't do much re-reading might be a few errors here and there. ENJOY!

Tohru, Kyo, Yuki and I were sitting at the table, eating, one night.
"Here you go." Tohru said putting down a bowl. Shigure opened the door and Tohru and I looked over at him.
"Alright, here's an idea. What do you say we go on a trip tomorrow?" He sat down, ignoring everyone's confused expressions. "After all this is golden week. It'd be a shame if we didn't do something special. Chances like this don't come very often."
"What kinda crazy talk are you spewin over there? You drunk or somethin?" Kyo asked. Shigure laughed.
"No, and even if I had been drinking it wouldn't affect me."
"Only because you always seem like you're drunk." Yuki said.
"At any rate, I thought we might go to one of the Sohma's spas or perhaps the lake house. How does that sound girls?" He asked looking at Tohru and me. Of course Tohru started freaking out.
"But I've already been on a trip to the hot springs, I couldn't go on another one it would be too much."
"And what a lovely trip that must have been, it's too bad I wasn't able to be there. I did so want to go." He added sadly. "But not… I guess I'll never get to take a trip with you…"
"Okay we'll go." Tohru said with a smile. Shigure held up a peace sign. I rolled my eyes.
"Have you no shame?" Both Kyo and Yuki asked in unison.
"Not really." Shigure said. "Anyway I assume the two of you will want to come? You wouldn't make me and the girls spend all of that time by ourselves would you?" The two of their eyes widened. "Of course if we have to go alone, it's fine with me." The two looked ready to punch him. "Good so now that that's settled, I thought it might be fun to travel by car. Don't worry, leave all the driving to me." Kyo looked very confused.
"Shigure, do you even have a license?" Yuki asked. Shigure paused a moment.
"Of course I have a license."
"Why'd you have to think about it?" The two asked in unison.
The next morning we all got into the car and headed out to the Sohma's lake house. It was a little un comfortable in the back; the car was only a three seater in the back. Shigure was in the passenger's seat, Hatori drove and the rest of us were squeezed into the back. It went Tohru, me, Yuki then Kyo so that Tohru wouldn't accidentally hug one of them.
"Wow, just look at that lake, it's beautiful and big too." Tohru said as her, Yuki, Hatori and I looked at the lake.
"I could spend the whole day just looking at it." I said.
"I don't know that it's really that impressive." Hatori said.
"Oh well this is the first time we've ever really been to a lake." Suddenly Shigure chuckled kinda evilly.
"Just be careful Jason doesn't get you while you're here." He said.
"Don't even start with your nonsense." Yuki said.
"I'm sorry, did-did you say Jason?" Tohru asked
"Jason.. Jason.. why does that name sound familiar?" Kyo asked.
"Jason is a giant bear they say lives by the lake." Shigure said. "You don't know much do you?"
"Shut up!" Kyo sat up and looked at Shigure. "I knew that!"
"No you didn't." Hatori said.
"Oh so what kind of bear is he?" Tohru asked.
"Uh Tohru, he's.. never mind." I said putting a hand to my head.
"Why are we even talking about this?" Kyo asked. "You didn't bring us all the way out here to tell us about a bear did you?"
"Yes, why did you bring us here?" Yuki asked. I suddenly get the feeling you're up to something."
"Ahh you two, always so suspicious. All I wanted was for everyone to come have a nice relaxing time at the lake, and you think I'm up to something. Instead of sniffing around trying to find conspiracies, why don't you try to find a more productive use for your time? Oh say, like taking Tohru for a walk." Everyone was silent. "Oh ho, why the long faces you two. Is a walk so terrible?"
"Oh it's okay." Tohru said. "I really don't mind going by myself."
"You know, it's just too tense in here. We could use someone to come lighten the mood. I know I'll call Aya!" He picked up the phone.
"If you do that-"Yuki started.
"-I'll make you eat that phone." Kyo finished. Shigure shakily put down the phone.
"Uh, Rika would you like to come with us?" Tohru asked.
"Hm? Nah you go on. I think I'll stay here."
"Take your time." Shigure said quietly as he watched the three walking away outside. "Well suddenly it's much less stuffy in here, don't you think?" Hatori lit a cigarette.
"Shigure."
"Huh?"
"Tell me, what's the real reason you wanted to come on this trip?" Hatori asked. "I don't suppose you're trying to avoid your editor again?" Shigure laughed nervously.
"Trying to avoid her? Don't be silly I left her a note."
"I don't understand why she puts up with you."
"You're so cruel to her." I said rolling my eyes.
"It's not that cruel." He said. Hatori opened his mouth to say something.
"You should at least call her or something." I said. Shigure chuckled.
"Oh you're serious?" I pointed to the phone. "Can I invite Aya over?" I gave him a look to which he responded with puppy dog eyes.
"Maybe." He sighed and picked up the phone.
"Mii? Everything's going to be okay, I've already completed the manuscript. I was just teasing you… Yes yes I understand. Take care." He hung up. "There I called her, I called my editor. I hope you're happy."
"Yes I am." I said.
"Stop crying." Hatori said.
"How can I? You spoiled all my fun." He whined.
"You call yourself an adult." Hatori said. I giggled. The two looked at me.
"What?" I asked, stopping. Shigure came over.
"Oh nothing, just that cute little giggled." He held my chin gently.
"Shigure." Hatori said warningly. He took his hand away with a chuckled.
"You hungry?" I shrugged.
"I guess."
"Why don't we get some ice cream?"
"Where are we gunna get ice cream?" Shigure turned to Hatori.
"Hari!~" Hatori sighed and grabbed his keys before walking outside. "Huh?"
"What?"
"That was easier than I thought it would be." He said scratching the back of his head. I shrugged. "Can I call Aya now?"
"Do you want Yuki and Kyo, but mostly Yuki, to kill you?"
"Heheheh." He sweat dropped. I laughed and walked over to the window to look out at the lake.
"It's so beautiful, how the sun makes the water sparkle." I sighed lightly. I jumped when Shigure was suddenly behind me with his arms around me. He put his chin on my shoulder and pressed his chest against my back.
"Mmm."
"Shi-Shigure you can't-"
"But I don't want to wait." He whined.
"Shigure.." I swallowed. "Hatori's going to come back, you can't be… doing this."
"He just left, we have time."
"But-" He suddenly spun me around to face him. "Shigu-mm!" He leaned down and captured my lips quickly. I let my eyes close and pushed my lips back against his, putting my hands on chest. He smirked against my lips and pulled me tighter against him.
3rd Person
Outside Hatori pulled back up to the house and got out of the car with a white bag. He glanced up and saw Shigure kissing Rika thought the window. His eyes narrowed and he quickly entered the lake house and went to the room they were in. The second the door opened Shigure pulled away and moved away from Rika whose face immediately turned red when Hatori entered the room. Hatori glared at Shigure whose eyes widened before looking away. He sighed and opened the bag he was holding. He pulled out two cups with plastic tops. He tossed one to Shigure, almost hitting his head making Shigure yelp, and then the spoon. Then he walked over and handed Rika hers.
"T-Thanks Hatori." She opened hers and looked surprised. "You got me strawberry. That's my favorite, how did you know?" His eyebrows went up slightly.
"Lucky guess." She tilted her head slightly but smiled.
"Well, thanks." He nodded. He walked over to Shigure who was eating his ice cream. His eyes widened when he saw Hatori walking over.
"Haha Hari I-" He was cut off as Hatori took his ice cream, put it on the table then grabbed Shigure's arm and dragged him out of the room. Rika looked after them with an eyebrow raised.
"Hari, now I know what you're going to say-"
"She is seventeen." Hatori growled.
"She's gunna be eighteen in a week." Shigure said in defense but Hatori continued.
"You are twenty six."
"I'm well aware how old I am."
"That is a nine year difference not to mention the fact that she's underage."
"Once again her birthday's in a week."
"Whatever her age you shouldn't be kissing her in front of a window and leading her on."
"Hey I am not leading her on!- Why are you getting so protective?"
"I-" Shigure's eyes widened.
"You like Rika."
"What- that's absurd. She-She's- I've only known her-"
"You like her." Shigure said again looking shocked.
"She's seventeen and she…" He trailed off then let out a sigh and looked away. Shigure looked confused and frowned. Hatori shook his head and went back into the room. Rika looked over as the two walked back in.
"Everything alright?"
"Oh everything's fine." Shigure said waving a hand dismissively. Rika nodded.
"Tori, do you want some ice cream?" Rika asked holding out her cup and spoon.
"Um..." He blinked at her use of the nickname.
"Come on." She said with a smile. He gave a slight small smile as he took the cup.
"Thanks Ri." She tilted her head and Shigure suddenly popped up.
"'Ri' huh?" Hatori seemed to freeze before clearing his throat. Shigure looked between Rika and Hatori with a calculating look. Rika looked confused and Hatori was avoiding Shigure's gaze. "I think I'm gunna call you that from now on." Shigure said with a smile but it was wiped off his face when he saw Hatori's glare. "Or not, ya know I think it's cute Hari found a nickname for you." This caused Hatori to glare more as a very light blush went across his face. This also caused a blush to return to Rika's face.
Still 3rd Person
That night after dinner everyone headed off to the three out of four bedrooms; Tohru and Rika shared a room while Shigure, Kyo and Yuki shared the second and Hatori was in the third. While everyone was asleep Rika got up and walked into the room with the big window. She opened the window and looked out at the lake. The moonlight shined and glistened on the water. She let out a gasp and jumped as Shigure wrapped his arms around her from behind.
"What are you doing up?" He whispered before kissing her neck. She felt her cheeks heat up and shivered. He chuckled and rubbed her arms up and down. "Cold?"
"U-uh I just-" She was cut off as he turned her around and pulled her against him wrapping his warm arms around her. She blushed but leaned against him. He smiled and kissed the top of her head. She slid her arms around his waist and looked up at him. He smiled down at her before leaning down. She closed her eyes as he pressed his lips to hers. He pulled away after a moment.
"Do you want to sleep with me?" Her eyebrows went up and he quickly corrected himself. "J-Just sleep. There's a fourth room." She smiled shyly and nodded.
"Alright."
"We have to be careful though, it's past Hatori's room." He looked down the hallway where the first two doors were closed and the last two were open. The third room had a small light on. "I'll go first." He took her hand and walked down the hall. He stopped just before the third door and let go of her hand. He peeked inside before quickly walking to the other side. He motioned for her to follow. She walked forward.
"Rika?" She froze and turned to face Hatori, he was sitting in a chair a book in his hand. "What's wrong?"
"I-I couldn't sleep." She lied holding her hands in front of her. "I-I was gunna try sleeping by myself in the other room."
"Did you have another nightmare?"
"No I-" She stopped and tilted her head. Shigure looked confused. "How-?" She asked quietly. Hatori seemed to mentally scold himself.
"It's a logical question." She took a step into the room and Shigure frowned.
"You said another nightmare."
"I misspoke." She walked in more.
"Earlier you called me Ri when I called you Tori." He glanced down at his book. "Why?" She came to stand in front of him. He looked up at her. "No one's ever called me Ri so you couldn't have heard it anywhere."
"I simply-…" She leaned down.
"Yes?" He swallowed and a light pink came to his cheeks. "To-ri." She said leaned down closer. He closed his eyes and let out a sigh before putting his book down. He opened his eyes and looked at her.
"I wish I could tell you I really do." He reached up and stroked her hair making her blush.
"Is-is it something bad?"
"In a way…"
"Does it have to do with us specifically?"
"… In a way."
"Why can't you tell me?"
"I was told not to."
"By who?" He closed his eyes briefly and took his hand away.
"You should get some sleep."
"Tori, by who."
"I can't tell you. Please just go to bed." She stood up straight.
"Fine." She turned around and walked to the door. She stopped and looked back. "Night Tori…"
"Rika." He got up and walked over to her. He lean down and kissed her forehead. She looked up at him. "Good night, Ri." She nodded shyly and walked into the room next door. Shigure sat on the bed.
"You two've gotten friendly." He said quietly. She shrugged and came over to the bed. "Let's get some sleep." They got under the covers and Shigure pulled her to him. She let out a sigh and closed her eyes, letting sleep wash over her.
Rika's POV
The next morning we were going to go to the lake.
"Miss Honda, are you ready to go?" Yuki asked.
"Uh-huh, all set." She said.
"So, you're going down to the lake?" Shigure asked. "Better be careful Kyo," He looked towards Kyo who was by the window. "Don't fall in."
"Like I would!
"Oh, good bye Hatori, we'll you in a little while." Tohru said looking at Hatori who was on the couch. She and I walked over and saw he was asleep, a book on his chest.
"What is it?" Shigure asked. "IS he asleep over there?"
"Uh-huh." Tohru said before running off to get something. I tilted my head looking at Hatori's face. He looked so peaceful. I couldn't help but reach over and brush some hair out of his face. Shigure noticed and watched me.
"I didn't think Hatori slept." Kyo said.
"Really Kyo, he's only human." Shigure said. "He has to sleep sometime."
"I know that, that's not what I meant." Kyo said. "I'm just saying he doesn't seem like the kinda guy who'd fall asleep in front of people."
"Ahh, well it is unusual I'll give you that." Shigure said.
"Oh here, I brought a blanket." Tohru said running back over. "I'd really hate for him to catch a cold or anything."
"Tohru you truly are amazing." Shigure said as she covered Hatori. "I envy the man who marries you someday." Tohru blushed.
"Oh, no really." She waved her hands. Suddenly someone put their hand on her shoulder.
"Yes you deserve our compliments. We could all learn something from this beautiful soul." Ayame said. Everyone froze. "What's the matter? You all look so surprised." He laughed.
"Because you appeared out of nowhere!" Yuki said.
"And you're the last person we wanna see!" Kyo shouted. "How the hell did you get in here?!"
"Come now, Kyo, is it so difficult to figure out? If your brain were working you'd know I came in through the door naturally."
"Damn it, don't you even start with me!"
"Y-You guys, you're going to wake Hatori." I said.
"Oh Ayame what a-" Tohru started but Yuki came in front of her.
"No you'll only encourage him, and he's not staying!"
"Children, I understand that my sudden arrival has you delirious with excitement. Bu t I should tell you I wouldn't be standing before you now if a certain someone hadn't told me you were here."
"Someone huh?" Kyo and Yuki said before looking at Shigure.
"Oh no, it wasn't me, really it wasn't." He said waving his hand.
"Don't worry Shigure, let them stare!" Ayame said. "I'm here now, and even if the rest of the world should turn against you I will always stand by your side."
"Aya, you are my strength and adversity." Then they started speaking French.
"Will you quit goofin around and tell us why you're here?!" Kyo shouted. I looked at Hatori and saw him waking up. He opened his eyes and looked up at me.
"Ah, Patience patience my dear boy after all as my high school drama teacher always used to say "A man's true strength is to _ the friends who support him" wise words."
"And what's your point exactly?" Yuki asked.
"Hmm, I'm not sure.
"Then why'd you say it?" Kyo and Yuki said in sync.
"Oh man, I can't take much more of this. You're killin me" Kyo said. "Do us all a favor, will ya, go away."
"That's just rude." Ayame said. "And besides there's something I have to do." He took Yuki's hand. "Yuki, while I'm here it's the perfect chance for us to deepen our bond as brothers.
"I have a better idea, why don't I drown you in the lake?"
"Anything you want, as long as it gives us some quality time together."
"On second thought, go drown yourself." Hatori put his hand on Ayame's head.
"After everything I've told you, you're still causing trouble aren't you?"
"Oh Hatori, I thought you were sleeping." Tohru said.
"I was but how can anyone sleep with all this noise?"
"_ Hari! So nice to see you!" Ayame said loudly.
"Sorry about waking you up." Shigure said.
"I guess I didn't realize we were being so loud. HAHAHAHA" Ayame laughed loudly.
"Oh shut up." Hatori said plugging his ears. "Ayame, what are you doing here?"
"Huh? Well I was paying a visit to the main house and one of the servants, I don't remember his name he was an older gentlemen, he told me that you've one to the lake. Naturally I didn't wanna miss out on the fun so here I am." Hatori sighed.
"In any event , Yuki weren't you and Kyo planning to take Tohru and Rika for a walk around the lake today?" The four of us looked at each other.
"Oh a walk around the lake, that does sound like a nice idea. But I think I should go along to help you escort Miss Tohru and Miss Rika. You know you can never be too careful these days what with all those weridos out there in the world.
"Oh thank you but I think we'll be alright and we really should be going." Tohru said.
"If you want," I said causing Ayame to look at me. "Me and you could wake by ourselves." He looked a little embarrassed.
"Uh N-no you go on ahead with the others, I wouldn't want you to miss out on anything." He laughed slightly.
"Oh, alright then."
"A gorgeous view like this you almost can't help but smile." Tohru said as we looked out at the lake. We turned around to see Yuki and Kyo glaring at the ground.
"That bastard's going to be here all night."
"He's your brother isn't he, so do something about it."
"Believe me if I could I would. I hate the way he always hides behind Shigure."
"Yeah that's a good one, you use Shigure to hide from Akito." Kyo said.
"That's not the same at all you should shut up until you know what you're talking about."
"I didn't even wanna know that much! But I can't get away from you you're every damn place I go!"
"So why don't you disappear for another four months?!"
"Now you're talking! I would love to disappear. I'd rather be anywhere else in the world than this stupid lake."
"You think I want to be here? Coming to the lake was the worst mistake of my life!"
"Hmm… we're doing it again aren't we?"
"Miss Honda, it's not how it sounds."
"Don't get the wrong idea."
"I didn't mean that coming to the lake with you was bad."
"I just don't wanna be here with this guy."
"Oh I uh- I see." She said.
"So you're okay right?" Yuki asked.
"Yeah you're not getting the wrong idea are you?" Kyo asked. She smiled and ran up to stand between them.
"Isn't the lake beautiful?" They looked up. "Let's try walking along the shore for a little while. Can we?"
"Sure."
"Sure."
"Ah so they have returned, welcome back Yuki and friends." Ayame said.
"Who're you callin friend?!" Kyo snapped.
"We're back safe and sound." Tohru said.
"By the way Yuki, I was talking with Hari and he gave me some wonderful advise. And from now on I'm going to impress you with my steadfast determination.
"What determination?" Kyo asked.
"Simple, my determination to form a bond with my younger brother. This time I will not give up until I succeed. Yuki, as your older brother, I order you to respect me!" There was a pause then Yuki glared before hitting him.
"Ayame!" Tohru ran over to him when he fell over and picked him up. He suddenly transformed. "Ahh! I turned Ayame into a snake, what should we do?"
"I think we're gunna lose him for a while." Kyo said as Yuki twirled Ayame in the air before letting him go flying. I rolled my eyes and picked up his clothes. "What are you doing?"
"Yuki just threw him into the lake, when he changes back he's be naked. I don't want him to get sick so I'm going to go find him." Yuki's eyebrows went up.
"But-"
"I'll be back later." I said before walking to the lake. "Ayame?" I called. "Aya!"
"Rika?" I looked over to see Ayame climbing up out of the water, halfway out. I quickly looked away.
"I brought your clothes."
"Oh thank you!" I heard him get out of the water and walk over. I held out the clothes and he took them.
"S-Sorry I didn't bring a towel, I wanted to make sure you didn't get sick."
"How thoughtful."
"I'll uh, I'll go get you a towel."
"Thank you." He said, looking slightly embarrassed, ringing out his hair.
So what does everyone think of what's happening with Rika and Hatori? Also i might change the POV of this to 3rd person because i've gotten in the habit of writing 3rd person, if it would bother anyone if i did that please tell me cause then i'll keep writing in 1st person.
