Sorry for not updating for forever I've been working on a Supernatural fanfic. I was on vacation so I figured I'd write this more.

xxYearOfTheCatFanClubxx: It's a reply to Chapter 3 but I figure entually you'll get to this chapter. He has a schoolboy crush on her I guess.
Guest1: Responded to this already in review but here's for anyone who didn't read that. Underlined things for quick read: Everytime I read this I get a bit angry. One: This is based off the anime meaning Akito is MALE.Two: Not all the guys are in love with her. Kyo likes Tohru, Yuki's got a schoolboy crush, same with Haru although BlackHaru is just a perv. There are Prince/Princess moments with Ayame yes but he doesn't like her like that. The Hatori thing will all be explained. The only real pairing in this is Shigure/OC/(Hidden) (Hidden because I won't reveal until I get there.) The HUGGING will also be explained she can't just magically hug them because I want her to there is a reason. Also since this is based off the Anime in my mind Rin does not exist unless I decide to continue this after anime into manga… where Akito is still going to be MALE.

The school bell rang and Rika got her bag, left her classroom and headed to Tohru's. When she got there she saw Tohru with her head in her hands and Arisa with her arms behind her head.
"You got a failing grade?" Arisa asked. Tohru nodded, her hands still hiding her face. "How many?" Rika walked over as Tohru held up one finger slowly. "Aw only one?" Arisa patted her on the back. "Don't let it get you down too much it's not so bad."
"Tohru one test isn't that bad, last year I failed three of the tests." Rika said. Saki walked over and put a hand on Tohru's back.
"Yes, she's right, Tohru. In fact, compared to me it's very good. I failed all of my tests.
"You say that like you're proud of it." Arisa said. "You should be the one who's upset. Anyway what happened? You passed all your tests last time; did the Prince not help you study?" Tohru shook her head.
"N-No he tried to help me." Just then Yuki walked over.
"Miss. Honda." Tohru looked up. "What's the matter? Is it… retests?" Tohru freaked out and sat facing the wall.
"I am so sorry." The four walked over to her.
"Uh no really, you don't have to-"
"You went to so much trouble to help me then I still failed one of my tests. I feel so bad for making you waste your time. I can't believe I'm so stupid." Arisa and Saki got on either side of Tohru and Rika was next to Saki.
"Hey come on." Arisa said. Yuki knelt next to Arisa and looked at Tohru.
"You're not stupid. You just made a mistake." Tohru looked up at him. "We all make them; no one expects you to perfect. Besides you have a second chance right? And the questions on retests are usual easier than the real thing."
"That's true." Saki said. "They'll be much easier."
"I'm not sure you should be the one giving out advice." Arisa said.
"Hey Yuki." Another student with spiky hair said. "So are you comin' or what?" Yuki stood up.
"I'll be right there." He leaned over again. "There's a student council meeting today, but if you need me to walk you home I know Rika has an earlier shift today..." He looked at Rika briefly before looking back at Tohru.
"No I'll be alright." She said with a smile.
Kyo and Tohru were walking home, Tohru was behind him a little out of it. Kyo stopped and looked back.
"So you gotta take a retest, huh?" Kyo stared as Tohru fell against a wall. "I was just asking. Not that big a deal."
The two were walking down the forest path when Tohru got dizzy and her head hit Kyo's backpack.
"Hey what do you think you're doing?" He looked back at her. "Come on, it's just a retest, you don't have to be so depressed! Try not to stress out so much, you're just gunna end up giving yourself a fever again." Tohru slumped slightly and started to fall over. "Uh- HEY!" Kyo caught her and transformed. She hit the ground and Kyo, now in cat form, felt her forehead and started freaking out. "Aw Hell! You really do have a fever!"
"I-I'm okay." She said weakly.
"You are not okay! What are we gunna do! We gotta get you back the house! Alright don't panic! Don't panic! Ahhhh!"
Shigure looked at a thermometer.
"Hmmm." He stared at it. "Yes it is a fever all right. And in my professional medical opinion… you're sick." He said to Tohru.
"No kiddin' I could 'a told you that." Kyo said. "Now go upstairs and go to bed."
"No it's not that bad." Tohru said. "Really it's not. If I just take some medicine I'll be fine. Now if you'll excuse me I have to go make some dinner." She started to get up and got dizzy.
"You need to get some sleep! You're always so worried when someone else has a cold why don't you try worry about yourself for once?"
"But there's so much to do A-after dinner I still have to go to work."
"You're taking the night off!" Kyo said.
"No I couldn't do that, then it would be more work for Rika."
"Tohru, Tohru, Tohru." Shigure said. "Kyo's right, you shouldn't go into work this evening. It's important that you get your rest."
"But I-"
"You're not listening." Shigure said in singsong. "Please, for us, would you go get some sleep?"
"Okay." She said.
"Hm. That's what I like to hear." Shigure said with a smile. "You get to bed, I'll call Hatori then go pick up Rika from work."
"Why do you have to pick her up?" Kyo asked.
"Because you will be looking after Tohru and Yuki's at a meeting." Shigure said with a smile.
Shigure was holding the phone away from his ear as Momiji shouted.
"What?! Tohru's sick? That's terrible is she alright?! Did she take medicine? Is she resting? Is she alright?!"
"You know Momiji you're very loud." Shigure brought the phone up to his ear. "But in answer to your question yes she's resting safe and sound of course that means she won't be able to go into work this evening. The work will probably get pushed on Rika." He added quietly. He pulled the phone away as Momiji shouted.
"Oh right don't worry about a thing, I'm on it!" Momiji hung up and Shigure looked at the phone.
Rika blinked seeing Momiji holding a rag and holding it up.
"Momiji, what are you doing here?"
"Hey Tohru's sick today so she had to stay home and get her rest. But everything's okay because I'm here to take her place." He said happily. "I can clean really good too. So for today just pretend I'm Tohru." The two women by the window watched as Momiji went back and forth cleaning the floor.
"I don't know where this boy came from but he really is adorable isn't he?"
"Yes he might be the cutest little boy I've ever seen." Rika chuckled watching him.
Kyo was sitting in the kitchen surrounded by a bunch of books. He was looking at a book with a comic on the page.
"Hmm, let's see. 'What you should do when you have a cold.'" He read. "'If you have a cold or a fever the best thing to do is eat plenty of leeks. A good serving of leeks will help you feel better in no time.' Eh?" He opened another book. "'To cure a cold eat some leeks. Stewed leeks or leek soup are the best.'" Kyo started checking every book. "This says leek that says leek! Everywhere I look it says leek! I mean god can't they think of something better to do for a cold than eat a damn stinkin' leek!" He stood up. "How's that supposed to cure anything it's the nastiest food in the world!"
Kyo walked upstairs and opened the door to a room. The door that led outside where he used to climb onto the roof was open. He stopped imagining Tohru doing the laundry. He looked down the hall at Tohru's door. He ran back downstairs and outside. He stopped noticing Yuki and Tohru's garden. He stared and swallowed.
"Oh." Shigure coughed into the phone. "Mii I've come down with a terrible cold." He coughed some more. "And since I'm not feeling well, I was wondering if we could move my deadline to next week?"
"Ah- Next week? No I'm sorry but we can't wait that long!" Shigure coughed more.
"Oh what, could you repeat that? I'm getting dizzy; things going black; I think I'm dying."
"What?! Are you alright Shigure? Shigure, speak to me!"
"I'm dead."
"Shigure!" Shigure hung up and smiled to himself. Suddenly he sniffed the air and followed the smell into the kitchen and found Kyo in front of the stove cooking with a mask and goggles on.
"Hold on, what's this? Kyo, what in the world are you doing?"
"What does it look like? I'm making leek soup."
"Leek soup? Um, is that for Tohru?"
"You really think I'd cook this crap for myself? Yeah it's for Tohru." Shigure stood next to Kyo with a big smile. Kyo suddenly grabbed his collar. "What's that look for you got something you wanna say?!"
"Um no not really. Just wonder what you're making us for dinner."
"Nothing, we'll order out!" Kyo turned off the stove, raised his goggles and lowered the mask before covering the soup. "Hey I need you to do something."
"And what might that be?"
"Take this stuff upstairs to Tohru for me."
"Uh-uh." Shigure said before smiling.
"Fine! I'll do it myself then!" Kyo said after putting his goggles and mask back on. He picked up the tray then proceeded to walk over to the door and kick it.
"Kyo, try not to smash all the doors on your way. You're going to have to fix that!" Shigure stood there a moment then chuckled. "Now that really is cute isn't it?"
Kyo knocked on Tohru's door. She raised her head weakly.
"Y-Yes?" Kyo opened the door, still with the goggles and mask on, and he was holding the tray of food. "K-Kyo." Tohru sat up.
Tohru sat on the floor in front of the food. Kyo sat on the other side
"Kyo did you really make all of this for me? It's wonderful thank you so much."
"Yeah yeah just eat it already."
"Okay if you insist." She said happily picking up eating utensils and a bowl. "It's delicious."
"Mm, just leave the tray in the hall when you're done." Kyo said getting up and walking to the door.
"Kyo wait-! Um…" Kyo stopped and looked back at her. "Well… I'm really sorry to be so much trouble
"If that's the way you feel you shouldn't get sick, huh?"
"I guess not." She said sniffling. Kyo flinched and turned around with a grimace. He felt to his knees, leaning over on his hands, his head down.
"Why are you crying?"
"I'm so sorry."
"What is it? Go ahead, you can tell me, I'll listen."
"Well.. I made a promise to mom, and I let her down. I mean, I failed the test and now I'm.. sick." A few tears fell onto the spoon she was holding. "I let everyone down. Yuki… I wasted all that time he spent helping me. I feel like… I feel like such an idiot. I have to be more responsible than this." She put her head down with her eyes closed.
"So are you finished?"
"Yes I'm finished."
"First of all, if you do good on the retest who cares if you failed the first one." Kyo said making Tohru's eyes open.
"And second, don't worry about that damn rat Yuki, and if you asked me I'd tell you to waste all his time until he's dead." Tohru sweat dropped. "And uh... if you're sorry then just get better quick. Go back to smilin' with that goofy looking grin you always have.
"Heheh, my smile is goofy?" Tohru asked with a big sweatdrop.
"I- That's not what I mean." Kyo clenched his fist. "Just get better, or I won't be happy. And hey, even if it takes you a little while… I can cook and stuff… for a while so don't worry about it okay?" "But you're never gunna get better if you don't eat so hurry up before it gets cold!"
"Uh right!" Tohru picked up her bowl ad spoon with a smile and started eating. "It really is delicious." Kyo put his head down.
"No it's not; it's pretty awful. My cooking really sucks compared to yours." He peeked out through his hair at her, a light blush on his face. Tohru smiled with the spoon slightly in her mouth. "So maybe you're more responsible than you think, huh?"
Yuki stormed into the house and opened to the door to the room Shigure was in.
"Welcome home, it's a bit late isn't it?" Yuki was silent. "Is something wrong?" Kyo walked down the stairs with the tray of food.
"It's horrible, they're all gone." Kyo walked by the door and stopped to see Yuki and Shigure. "The leeks that Miss. Honda and I planted together." Yuki said angrily. "Someone pulled them all from the garden. What kind of low life goes around steeling leeks?" Kyo sweatdropped. Shigure looked at Kyo who blinked before walking to the kitchen. "Don't worry, I know better than to think that you did it." Kyo opened a door and left the room. The second the door closed Shigure started laughing. Yuki looked at him shocked. "You're laughing?"
"I'm sorry. But if you really wanna find your leek thief talk to Tohru."
"Huh?"
"Of course, Tohru's been in bed with a fever ever since she got home from school this afternoon." Shigure held up a finger. "So here's a quiz for you, how is it possible for Tohru to know what happened to all your leeks, do you think?"
"She's sick?" Yuki asked before getting up and walking to the stairs.
"She's okay," Kyo said stopping him. "she fell asleep again after she ate. Don't wake her up." Yuki looked up the stairs and something clicked. He looked at Kyo.
"So, what did you give her?"
"Nothing," Kyo said looking away. "Leek soup." Yuki suddenly punched him. "Augh! Wha-! You want some of this?!" Yuki took up a fighting pose and Kyo yelled as they went at each other.
"Keep it down if you're going to fight." Shigure said, poking his head out into the hall, making them freeze. "We don't wanna disturb Toru's sleep now do we?" The front door opened and Hatori walked in.
"I apologize for coming so late." He said. He walked in and saw the two boys, still frozen in place, and his eyebrows went up. "Hm." Shigure walked into view.
"Ah you're here, finally."
"I um," Kisa poked her head out from behind Hatori. "I heard that sissy got sick." She said. "Is she okay?"
"She's been so worried I didn't have much choice but to bring her." Shigure crouched in front of her.
"Hello Kisa. Tohru will be happy to see you." Suddenly Momiji came running down the pathway and into the house.
"How's Tohru?" He asked breathing heavily. "Is she felling any better, is she?" Shigure stood up..
"Well, I don't really know. But since we're all here let's pay her a visit." Shigure said. Everyone, minus the boys, started towards the stairs.
"Shigure?"
"Yes Hari?"
"Where's Rika?" Shigure sweatdropped and started chuckling nervously. "Shigure."
"Well, uh I was kinda, maybe sorta, supposed to… pick her up after work about an hour ago." Shigure finished quickly. Hatori sighed and suddenly looked torn, debating something in his head.
"I'll go pick her up after a quick check on Tohru." Shigure smiled and led everyone upstairs.
Shigure opened Tohru's door.
"Hello Tohru." He said. "How are you feeling?"
"Oh I'm much better now, thank you." She said from her bed.
"Tohru!" Momiji shouted running in.
"Sissy?" Kisa said following behind him. Tohru sat up.
"Don't even think about getting up." Hatori said walking in.
"Oh uh- Hatori!" Tohru said. Hatori put down his bag and opened it before taking out some things.
"Ya know Hari you could try being a little nicer." Momiji said.
"That's right." "After all Tohru is a young lady, she should be handled with care, like a beautiful flower she is and not in that rough shop manner you treated me last time.
"What did Hari hurt you or something?" Momiji asked as he and Kisa looked back at Shigure.
"Hurt me?! Well I can tell you he used the longest needle I had ever seen!" Shigure held his arms out as fair as they would go. "And," He dropped his arms. "He lied to me. He told me I wouldn't feel a thing but I did, painful shot after painful shot."
"That's quite enough Shigure." Hatori said holding up a needle and letting a bit of the liquid come out. "There's no need to scare them like that."
"You'll be careful with that thing right? You'll have to stop if Tohru says it hurts."
"Don't worry I'm okay." Tohru said. "I can hardly even feel it."
"Are you sure? Shigure said it hurt really bad." Momiji said.
"Yes," Hatori said. "Well I did that on purpose."
"Oh Hari you're killing me!" Shigure said. "Why would you be so cruel?"
"It seems to be the only way to shut you up at the time." Hatori closed his bag and stood up.
"Oh uh H-Hatori?" Tohru said. He looked back at her. "How much do I owe you?"
"Nothing; just try to get better soon." He said with a small smile. "I won't mention any names but there are a few people in this house who get very worried when you're sick." He turned to face the door but kept looking back at her. "Call me if you need anything else." He said before walking to the door. He stopped and looked at Shigure. "I'll be right back with Rika." Shigure nodded and Hatori left. Kisa sat on the bed next to Tohru.
"I think grandpa Hatori was worried about you too." Kisa said. Tohru laughed lightly.
"Well, maybe." Then she started freaking out. "Wait-! Did you say grandpa?!" She looked at Kisa. "So then, what do you call Shigure and Ayame?"
"Grandpa Shigure and Grandpa Ayame." Kisa said innocently. Suddenly someone knocked on the door.
"Yes come in."
"Are you feeling any better?" Yuki asked opening the door.
"Oh yes much." Yuki closed the door behind him.
"Hatori said he thinks you'll recover in no time at all."
"Uh-huh. I'm sorry if I worried you earlier."
"Don't be. Anyway this is for you." Yuki held out a notebook, Tohru looked down at it. "I made you a study guide from the questions on the first test." Tohru looked up from the notebook. "This should be everything you need to know for the retest on Sunday. Look it over and as soon as you're better I'll go over it with you again if you want." Tohru took it and hugged it to her chest with a smile.
"Yuki, really thank you very very much."
Hatori drove down the forest road towards the actual road and his headlights shone on Rika who held up her hand to shield her eyes. Hatori turned off the lights and got out of the car.
"Tori?" She lowered her hand. "Were you here to see Tohru? Is she feeling better? Momiji told me she was sick."
"She'll be fine in no time. I was actually on my way to pick you up. Shigure was supposed to but forgot." Rika chuckled.
"It's okay, I normally walk home anyways." She said walking over. "Thanks though Tori." She said getting in the car as he did. He turned his lights back on and turned the car around.
"Why do you call me that?" Hatori asked after a minute of silence.
"Huh?"
"Why do you call me Tori?"
"Oh, do you not want me to, I'm sorry I-"
"No it's fine."
"Okay… It just came to me." She said with a shrug. He nodded as they pulled up in front of the house. Hatori turned off the car and they both got out. Hatori picked up Rika's bag. "You don't have to-"
"It's fine." He said walking to the house. Rika followed. They walked in and Shigure popped up.
"Rika!" He smiled. Hatori glared at him which made Shigure started laughing nervously. "How are you?"
"I'm fine. I'm gunna go drop my bag upstairs and check on Tohru." She said taking it from Hatori before going upstairs. She walked into the room and was tackled in a hug.
"Sissy!"
"Hey Kisa." Rika said hugging back with one arm and putting her hand on her head. She looked over at Tohru who was sitting up in bed. "How ya doin'?"
"Oh I'm doing much better than before." She said with a smile. Rika put her bag down and Kisa ran back over to the bed and climbed back on.
"Need me to get you anything?"
"Oh no I'm fine. You should go down and visit with Hatori and Momiji."
"Alright, when I do come back I'll bring you some water."
"Thanks Rika." Rika left the room and went back downstairs.
Kyo was back in the kitchen, sitting on the floor looking through more cook books.
"Damnit, why do they all gotta say leeks?"
"Kyo," Momiji popped up behind him. "you studying to be a doctor or something?"
"No, I'm not, go away!"
"So then what are you doing? Ohh you're tryin' help Tohru." Momiji said hitting his fist down into his open hand. Kyo hit Momiji's head, keeping his fist on his head.
"Shut up, now go away, I mean it!" Kyo went back to looking at the books.
"Waaaaah! Somebody! Kyo's hurting me! Waaaaah!" Momiji kept crying.
"Ugh, I swear every single time you open your mouth." Kyo muttered.
Hatori sat at the table with Shigure. Shigure was holding a book with a cup nearby and Hatori had a cigarette hanging out of his mouth with an ashtray in front of him.
"So Hari, if I were you I would start thinking about what I'd want to eat once Tohru gets better."
"Huh?"
"I'm sure she'll want to cook you a special dinner to say thank you." Rika walked into the room and frowned before taking the cigarette out of Hatori's mouth and putting it in the ashtray.
"That's not good for you." She said sitting down. Hatori looked at her while Shigure looked at Hatori nervously. Hatori chuckled slightly. "If you're hungry I could make you something." She said looking at the two. Shigure was about to open his mouth when Hatori gave him a look.
"I'm good." Shigure said. Rika smiled.
"Tori, I don't mind." She said leaning on the table putting her head in her hand. Hatori's eyes looked down at the dragon pendant.
"Rika?" She looked at Shigure. "Where did you get this hair pin?" He asked reaching over and touching the flower.
"Huh? O-Oh I uh…" She looked at Hatori then back to Shigure. "I bought it."
"Oh, that's nice." Shigure said with a smile. She stood.
"I'm gunna go help Kyo in the kitchen." She left rather quickly and Hatori and Shigure exchanged a look with frowns.
It's been forever I'm really sorry for not posting in so long but I have to watch and pause the episode and type what I hear. It takes a LONG time. I'm working on the next one though and I might not have school tomorrow.
