Disclaimer: I don't own fruits basket or its characters. I do own Rika and anything change etc.
pinkus-pyon : This is what I got from Google translate: "waaaalove your fic, I love having rapprochement with shigure XD lol and other complex as Hatori show his big brother? lol funny serious and want to see the good side of Akito with her, it would be nice to see and taste waaa me out a feline" I got the gist of what you said but I don't speak Spanish so I had to use Google translate. "Hatori mostrara su complejo como hermano mayor?" which I know is a question but I don't know what you're asking really.
Sorry this took FOREVER; I'm trying to get back to some of my old stories before I start any more new ones. I'm also going to try to work on Memories Locked Away. (If anyone has any ideas for that let me know, i always give credit where it's due)
Rika, Tohru, Yuki and Kyo were standing by a crosswalk, each with an umbrella for it was pouring rain.
"It's really coming down isn't it?" Tohru said looking up. "And I was gunna try to do the laundry today."
"It's not going to rain all day." Yuki said. "The weather report said it should clear up some this afternoon."
"Oh good I have to go to the store too. But really don't mind the rain it just means Fall's right around the corner."
"I see, so you like the Fall?"
"Uh-huh. There's nothing like a clear Fall day ya know? When the air is so crisp and nice. Oh but then again I guess I could say that about Spring too." Tohru said. "Yuki you like the Fall too don't you?"
"Sure, it's not too hot, not too cold."
"Nope, it's just right." Tohru turned to look at Kyo. "And Kyo?"
"What the hell does it matter?" Kyo asked.
"Oh uh well I…"
"It's nothing you did Miss Honda, Kyo just gets worn out easily on days like this." Yuki said. "He's a little out of it. It's hard to say; seeing as how he's always in a bad mood."
"Yeah like you're one to talk." Kyo said, without his normal enthusiasm, bending over slightly. "Damn… You damn rat. Jeeze this is annoying."
"Are you okay Kyo?" Tohru asked. "Ya know you really shouldn't push your body too hard. Oh I know!" Tohru moved closer to Kyo, holding her umbrella up a bit over the both of them. "Why don't you take a rest from carrying your umbrella and share mine with me?"
"Seriously?" Kyo asked.
"Uh-huh."
"Are you crazy? You think I'm so tired I wanna walk around looking like a sissy under that girly pink umbrella? That's a stupid idea."
"uhh, I'm sorry. Well maybe um.. maybe if you transform into a cat I can carry you the rest of the way home, I mean you'll still be sharing my umbrella but at least no one will be-"
"That's even worse!"
"Miss Honda, we should get going." Yuki said as the crosswalk sign beeped.
"Yes, but what about-?"
"Do you always gotta be worried about everything?" Kyo asked. " I mean come on, give it a rest already."
"Oh right, I'm sorry."
"You don' gotta apologize, let's just go." Kyo said as the four started to cross the street.
"Okay, well how bout tonight I cook you something to make you feel better, like um.. leeks."
"Eh. Are you tryin'a kill me?"
"Oh I'm sorry! I wasn't thinking."
"Look just forget it, I'll be fine once the weather clears up."
"O-Oh okay."
"Oh sure, now it stops after we're already here." Kyo said looking up at the sky as they approached the house.
"Well at least the walk home was quiet." Yuki said.
"Huh?! You say somethin' ya damn rat!?"
"Kyo!" Kyo froze as the door opened to reveal Kagura. "Hurray you're here! Welcome back Kyo my-" Kyo slammed the door shut
"Um Kyo, I don't think that's a good idea." Tohru said shakily.
"That won't hold her." Rika said quietly.
"Kyo, what happened?" Kagura asked as she tried to open the door. "Ah, I can't open the door."
"Damn! I can't either! It must stuck of somethin-" Kyo was cut off as Kagura's arm came through the door and grabbed his shoulder.
"Open it." She said darkly.
"Alright, so why the hell are you here anyway?" Kyo asked later when the two were sitting by the table.
"Oh, no reason at all really." Kagura said.
"So why bother comin'?!"
"What… Is it bad that I did?" Kagura asked as Tohru came in with a tray of tea. "I just wanted to see you."
"Well I didn't wanna see you."
"Kyo, why.. why are you.. so mean?" Kagura said tearfully. "You know how much I love you!" She shouted picking up the table.
"Yeah and I got a bad feeling you're about to show me again!" Kyo said in a shaky voice. Suddenly Shigure came in and pushed Kyo to Kagura who hugged him. "Shi-gu-re!"
"Kagura, I'd wonder if you'd take Kyo and run a little errand for me." Shigure said. "Make it a date." Shigure turned to Tohru who stood beside him. "Tohru, you wouldn't happen to have this evening's grocery list?"
"Oh sure, right here, that is if you don't mind." Tohru said handing Kagura the list and some money.
"Forget it we are not goin-!" Kyo was cut off as Kagura grabbed him and started running.
"Okay! It's a date it's a date!"
"I guess my little plan has succeeded." Shigure said.
"I knew it." Yuki said.
"If Kagura gets to spend some time along with Kyo it ought to calm her down a bit. And then she won't have to smash my house. Oh and by the way, try to be extra careful from now on; the main house isn't going to put the bill for any more repairs."
"Oh, were they helping out before?" Tohru asked.
"Right, they were but I guess we broke one too many doors. They've been sort of reluctant to give us any assistance lately."
"I had no idea." Tohru said. "Oh well, I guess I can go ahead and do the laundry." Tohru said clapping her hands together.
"I think there is some more rain on the way." Shigure said standing up. "Here's an idea, since Kyo and Kagura are out, why don't you and Yuki go on a date of your own?"
"A date?! Oh no, really I couldn't- I mean- ehhh"
"Yes, let's. We'll go on a date."
"uhh."
"We can take a walk to the secret base."
"Okay." Tohru said with a smile.
"What about me?" Rika asked crossing her arms, leaning against the wall as Yuki and Tohru left. Shigure was suddenly in front of Rika with an arm above her head. He twirled a strand of Rika's hair with his other hand.
"We could go on a date, Rika." He purred. Rika's face went pink. "What do you say?"
"M-Maybe another time, Gure."
"Aw you've got a nickname for me." He said with a big smile. Rika blushed more and looked away. "Don't be shy, kitten." Rika stiffened.
"Could you… not call me that?" She looked at Shigure. He noticed her expression and nodded.
"Of course, I'm sorry, Rika." He said before kissing her cheek.
"Thanks.." She said quietly. Shigure frowned.
"Come on, cheer up." He said. He suddenly smirked and started tickling her. She burst out laughing.
"No- ahaha! Shigure!" She laughed. Shigure chuckled.
"You'll have to make me." He said in sing-song. Rika held her sides and suddenly got an idea. She threw her arms around Shigure's neck and kissed him. He immediately stopped tickling her and kissed back, wrapping his arms around her waist. He pushed her against the wall and pulled her closer. They were like that for a few minutes until someone knocked on the door. Shigure pulled away and the two looked over to see a tall man with his hair in a pony-tail. "Kazuma?"
Shigure and Kazuma were sitting at the table. Tohru and Rika were sitting off to the side and Kyo was sitting in the doorway to the kitchen.
"Kazuma, I'm glad to see you've made it back safely." Shigure said.
"Yes, thank you. And you Shigure? I've heard that your writing career is coming along quite nicely." Shigure chuckled.
"Well it's been alright." Shigure said. Yuki and Kagura sat down next to Tohru and Rika.
"It's good to see you again, master." Kagura said. "It's been so long."
"It has been a long time, master." Yuki said. Tohru looked from Kagura to Yuki.
"Yes." Kazuma said looking at them. "It has indeed, hello Kagura, and Yuki it seems you've grown quite a bit since I last saw you.
"Um excuse me." Tohru said quietly.
"I'm sorry," Shigure said. "Tohru, Rika, this is Kazuma Sohma. Kyo's told you about him before I believe; he's his teacher and he's also the man who taught martial arts to Yuki, Kagura and Hatsuharu."
"I see, that's amazing." Tohru said.
"You've already met Rika." Shigure said giving a wink to Rika, making her blush.
"So then, you must be the girl I've heard so much about." Kazuma said to Tohru.
"Oh! It's nice to meet you." Tohru bowed slightly. "I'm Tohru Honda."
"So you are, so you are." Kazuma said. "I understand that you've come to learn of the Zodiac curse. Is that right?" He said looking at Tohru. Kyo looked up slightly.
"Uh- uh huh." Tohru nodded.
"Kyo," Shigure said making Kyo look over. "You're being awfully quiet over there. Don't you at least want to say hello? I mean, you haven't seen him since your training in the mountains right? How long has that been? A year?" Kyo turned with a short yell but stopped looking over at Yuki. Kyo stood and left the room.
"Uh Kyo? Wait." Tohru said after him. Kazuma stood.
"Perhaps you could tell me where I might find Kyo's room." Kazuma said.
"Oh uh huh. It's upstairs." Kazuma nodded and left the room.
"So your master, he's not a member of the zodiac is he?" Tohru asked as she and Kagura were doing the dishes.
"No, but still he's always had really close ties to the main house." Kagura said. "You see, before Kyo, master's grandfather was the one who carried the curse of the cat. I guess… that's why he always seems to understand what Kyo's goin through, better than anyone. But more than that master's always been a very important person in Kyo's life. They're very close. Master looks after him, and protects him, just like a real father.
"Just like a... real father." Tohru repeated quietly.
It was getting dark, and it looked like a storm was on its way. Kazuma and Shigure were on the balcony talking. The girls were downstairs.
"Say, do you know if master's planning to spend the night?" Kagura asked.
"Uh, I-I don't know." Tohru said. "I guess I'll have to get a place ready for him if he is."
"Okay, I'll go ask him." Kagura said before running from the room.
Later Rika was walking in the house and noticed Shigure by the window, the round one with the four 'bars'.
"Shigure…" Rika said. "Why are Kyo and Kazuma outside? It looks like it'll start raining soon.
"I have accepted it!" Kyo suddenly shouted. It started to rain. Shigure looked at Rika.
"What's going on?" She asked.
"Rika... I think it best you…" Shigure sighed. "Come here." Rika walked to him and he put an arm around her as she looked out the window.
"It's that damn rat's fault for everything!" Kyo shouted. Rika couldn't hear what the two were saying the rain was loud and the two were too far away. After Kazuma spoke he suddenly grabbed Kyo's left hand and held it up.
"Kyo, we will discover now whether your life was truly over before it began." Kazume said. Tohru approached, holding an umbrella. Kazuma pulled off the bead bracelet Kyo always wore. Kyo's eyes widened and suddenly his irises turned into slits.
"Don't look at me!" Kyo screamed.
Didn't realize how little I had left to write of this chapter. So sorry for the wait.
