Chapter 6
Arthur walked home, with his mind full of thoughts, 'oh my god, did I just? Why are you such an idiot Arthur! Why did you just? I'm…" Arthur took a deep breath. "Calm down, old chap," Arthur told himself, "he probably forgot about it… yeah… just forgot about it," Arthur sighed, "but it did feel… nice… right even," Arthur gently slapped himself in the face. "Get a hold of yourself," Arthur sighed, and looked at that clock that read, '4:30' "well might as well start packing for tonight." Arthur had made up to his room and packed then left, but before he left he had put a note on the kitchen table telling his mother where he will be and when he'll come back home, feeling that he was ready to leave he grabbed the spare key and went out the front door and locked, and then made his way towards Al's home.
Al sigh as he made it through the front door, his mother had poked her head from the kitchen, "dear? Is that you?" Al's mother had called from the kitchen. Then she had spotted Al she smiled, "so how was my baby day?"
Al rolled his eyes, "mom really?" Al had sighed, "Fine I guess…" he mumbled.
His mother nodded knowingly, "Al me and your farther have a business trip and have to leave tonight sadly, and your brother is at Canada for the next week with your grandparents, are you sure you want to stay home, you can always stay at friends house while we are gone," she said, as a worried mother she wouldn't let her son in the how by himself, but her husband said that they need to trust in the boy more, she sighed.
"Yeah mom I got it covered," Al smirked, "plus I have someone coming over for tonight," Al said sitting on the counter top.
Al's mother had eyed him suspiciously, "oh really? Who is it?" she asked.
"Well first off it's not a girl," Al stated, "it's actually one of my old friends," Al's mother smiled.
"Which one?" she asked.
"Arthur," he smiled.
"Oh that nice boy that you hanged out with since 5th grade?" she asked. He nodded, she gave a smile, of course she couldn't forget the sweet little boy that had such a amazing influence onto Al and Matt when they were growing up, and she was very close to Arthur's mother, unfortunately ever since the news of Arthur's farther leaving them for another, really struck the poor women and she never heard from her since. She wondered how badly it struck the young boy. "I think it'll be nice for you and Arthur hanging out again," she thought for a moment as she finished cleaning up the last dish, "how is he doing?" she asked
Al had felt his heart clenched on seeing Arthur's crying face, he sighed, "I think he doing pretty well," he lied through his tongue, he didn't want his mother to worry over Arthur while they were on their trip.
She nodded and turned to look at Al, "well I'll be packing your fathers suit case considering the last time he did he had a mental breakdown of what to take and not," she giggled.
Al nodded, and jumped off the counter, "Arthur will be here in a few," Al had said looking at the clock above the sink.
Al's mother nodded and smiled, "well I can't wait to meet him after such a long time,"
Al nodded and headed up stares to make sure he had everything for the sleepover.
After sometime Al's mother walked down stairs to place the suitcase by the front door she called up to her husband seeing if he needed any help, then she heard the doorbell, she walked up to the door and opened. Then there appeared a small boy holding a small sports bag.
The mother smiled and opened the door a little more to let the boy in, "hello Arthur, my you've certainly grown a whole lot, haven't you?" she smiled sweetly. Arthur blushed and only nodded.
"Um thank you Mrs. Jones," he said with a small smile.
"I see you still have that cute accent, also how's your mother? I haven't heard from her lately," Mrs. Jones asked.
"She's…" Arthur thought for a moment, "doing fine, getting better," Arthur lied.
Mrs. Jones looked at Arthur for a moment, and then they heard footsteps coming down the stairs. When the person had reached the bottom it was Al.
"Hey Arthur," Al greeted.
"Hello," Arthur responded with a small blush and looked down slightly.
"Well, let's head up stairs," Al said about to grab his wrist, when Al was dragging Arthur upstairs Arthur noticed a few suitcases on the floor, as Al and Arthur had reached Al's bedroom. Al let go of Arthur's wrist and then sat on the bed.
"Um what's with the suitcases by the stairs I saw earlier?" Arthur asked out of curiosity.
"Oh yeah, my parents are heading to a business trip, and Matt won't be here either he's at Canada for a while helping my granddad hunt down poachers,"
Arthur's eyes widened, "are you sure it's okay if I stay here? I mean I hate to be here if your parents aren't even here, plus I'll feel like I'll be intruding," Arthur said quietly said.
Al looked at Arthur than smirked, "nah it's fine, plus my mom is more in charge that my dad, so what she says go, and she trust you so you can stay here all you want," Al stated and smiled at Arthur.
Arthur blushed and had gingerly picked up his sports bag and looked through it to find his pajamas, "um where can I put these on?" Arthur asked.
Al looked and saw Arthur holding his pajamas, "you can change in here while I get us drinks," Al said standing up, "what would you like?"
"Um water please…" Arthur answered politely.
Al nodded and left out the door, Arthur had took off his sweater vest and bow tie and started to unbutton his shirt and let it slid off his body, his freckled covered chest and stomach now exposed. He sighed and looked and the horrible brown dots, he went to reach his with white T-shirt, the door opened and had a blushing Arthur looking at the door with his shirt at his chest covering it.
Al blushed seeing the almost half naked boy in front of him. Al chuckled, "I'll go and wait outside… um sorry…"Al had mumbled then quickly closed the door.
Arthur blush a deep red tomato, and then he hurried changing into his pajamas. Once he got in them he heard a knock on the door.
Arthur reached the doorknob and turned it to let the door open to let Al inside. Once Al was inside his own room he set the two glasses on the nightstand by the bed and had sat next to Arthur. He took a glance at the small Brit and sighed noticing how red the smaller boy is.
"Sorry for barging in I thought you were done," Al had apologize which was rare for the American teenager, but when Arthur was around he tends at 'different'.
Arthur looked at Al, "it's fine… you didn't know… plus it is your room," Arthur let out a small laugh.
Al smirked, "oh by the way," Al started, "why did you kiss me?" Al asked, and started laughing when Arthur went deep tomato red.
Arthur was struggling for words; Al had put a hand on his shoulder, "don't worry… I kind of liked it…" Al mumbled the last part blushing. Arthur started at him with wide eyes then hugged him. Al froze for a bit then he chuckled and wrapped his arms around the smaller Brit.
"This feels nice…" Arthur stated.
Al smirked and patted Arthur's back, "sure does… sure does…"
