Tony was mad, really mad. Why? Because some idiot called Dewy or something was claiming that the Nessie, the Loch Ness Monster, wasn't real. He claimed that he had evidence to prove it, and was going to hold a meeting by the lake to lecture about it. Tony, hearing this, was shocked. How could anyone think that Nessie wasn't real? Nessie was an absolute darling, so cool, the kind of friend kids dreamed about having, and the paragon of awesomeness. "Jarvis," he had said determinedly as soon as he heard the news, "Get us a plane to Scotland."

"Of course, sir," Jarvis had replied. Tony smirked in satisfaction, if anyone was trying to disprove Nessie, he was gonna be there to get it through their thick head that Nessie was real. He could not, would not allow anyone to dispute Nessie's existence, even if they were a hotshot with a PhD!

Meanwhile, Thor was bored. Really bored. He was actually in Asgard, right now. He had considered going back down to Midgard, since his brother was still hiding there, but he had decided to wait out this Thorsday on Asgard. After all, these past couple of days had been rather trying, and who knew? Perhaps Loki would not be able to send him any gifts across worlds. or would maybe show him some grace and not send anything this week. One could hope, right? Thor sighed. Who was he kidding? He knew his brother. Loki didn't care at all about the Allfather, and would even risk the Allfather's wrath to ruin Thor's day. That's how stubborn Loki was.

Thor sighed again. He thought gloomily, I'm doomed. Completely, absolutely doomed. Goodbye, cruel world.

"Thor, my dashingly handsome friend! Why are you so gloomy, today?" Fandral asked him from where he popped up. He had noticed that Thor had seemed rather quiet, and dare he say, upset, these past few day. This was rather unlike him; Thor was always cheerful and happy. It was even more curious that Thor was upset on this particular day. After all, it was his favorite day.

"It's Loki, Friend Fandral," Thor answered gloomily, still depressed as ever. "He is set on ruining my favorite day, which you know is Thorsday."

"What?!" Fandral exclaimed, shocked. He knew Loki was cruel, but this was a little too much wasn't it? Thorsday was quite important to him, after all. He added, "That's a grave crime, my friend!"

"I know, my friend, I know. But it's Loki, what can you do?" Thor shrugged helplessly. If he could have done something to make Loki stop, he would have already.

"I know what we should do!" Fandral said, a plan forming his head. It was an absolutely perfect, no magnificent idea, and it was sure to cheer Thor up. He suggested, "Let us embark on a magnificent adventure!"

Thor brightened immediately. Of course, an adventure! That always made him happy. He praised, "That is a brilliant plan!"

"I know, right? Come, let us gather our friends," Fandral replied, preening under the compliment. He knew this would work.

"Alright," Thor agreed, trying to remember where he had last seen his comrades. "Let us find them and go off to an adventure!"

Saying so, the two of them strode away to search for their friends and to convince them to also embark on their magnificent adventure.

Somewhere far, far away from Asgard, on Earth, Loki was walking down a street eating a delicious chocolate ice-cream cone, when he saw some children playing happily in a park. Curious about what they were doing, he stopped to watch them. There were six of them around a sandbox building what looked like a castle. Despite being pretty young, their sand castle was actually pretty good. Loki couldn't help but fondly smile at that as he recalled a memory, a memory of his children.

Loki was sitting under an oak tree, reading a book to his lovely, adorable children. They were as usual, sort of piled up in a way. Fenrir was lazily sprawled across his feet, while Jormungandr in his snake form was coiled around his neck. His daughter, Hela, sat to his left leaning on his shoulder softly dozing and his eldest Sleipnir sat to his right with his head on his lap. The youngest of the lot, who were the twins Narvi and Vali, sat between him and Fenrir, their eyes wide and entranced by the story.

"And they lived happily ever after," Loki concluded the tale, shutting the book softly. He smiled gently at his children. He loved them so much, especially when they were so cute and adorable like that! Seriously, it should be illegal for them to be cute, but what did he expect? They were his children, so of course they would be adorable beyond belief.

"Daddy, I want to live in a castle of my own," Jormungandr confided with wide eyes. The story had involved a rather complicated and magical castle, and Jormungandr had easily been drawn in through the beautiful intricate descriptions.

"You know what, I've got a brilliant idea!" Fenrir exclaimed, excitedly jumping up. He had an absolutely great idea, so of course he had to share it with everyone. "Let's make a castle of our own!"

"And how, exactly, are you going to do that?" Hela asked condescendingly, slightly irritable at being woken up from her light doze by all the noise. She mocked the two of them, "Considering how clumsy you two are, you're more likely to create an earthquake."

"No, I won't," Fenrir snapped back defiantly.

"Yes you will," Hela replied, just as condescending as before.

"NO I WON'T!"

"YES YOU WILL!"

"NO I WON'T!"

"YES YOU-"

"Wait, if you-" Narvi interrupted the argument.

"-get your own castle-" Vali continued his twin's sentence.

"-we want one-" Narvi added to his twins words.

"-too!" the twins finished together. They all glared at each other, before they turned to face their father together as one and yelled out petulantly, "Daddy!"

Loki, who had been watching the exchange with amusement, smiled. He chuckled at them and gently chided, "Now, now. No need to fight among yourselves."

"But I want a castle," Jormungandr pleaded, looking at Loki with big wide green eyes. IT was easy to see he really wanted a castle. He asked, "Please, Daddy, please?"

Loki softened. How good he say no to that? His children really were just too adorable for their own good. He answered, "All right, all right, I'll make a castle for each of you, okay?"

Their wide, beaming smiles told him everything.

Loki shook his head fondly and smiled. Building the castles had been quite fun and had caused more than one argument between his children. They just had to fight over anything and everything, even the color of toilet paper! Truly, they could be a bit ridiculous sometimes. Still, he loved them all the same. His smile faded as he realized that he hadn't visited his children in a while. This, he decided with a frown, would have to be fixed immediately.

Meanwhile on Asgard, Thor, the Warriors Three, and Sif were wandering through the forest, searching for the great whangdoodle, which was known to be incredibly rare, when something went POP!

Thor froze; he knew that sound. It was the sound haunting him for the past few weeks, the sound that heralded nothing good and everything bad. It seemed that Loki would not let him go just because he came to Asgard after all. He gulped, and his eyes darted around to search for the source of the noise, feeling some confusion when he did not immediately spot it. Hope began to rise in him. Perhaps he had just imagined it?

"Hey, Thor, there's a gift on your head," Fandral noted casually.

Thor froze. No, no, no, no, he chanted in his mind, being overtaken by an almost soul crushing despair.

Fandral plucked it off and said obliviously, "I'm opening it, you don't mind do you?"

"No, don't!" Thor protested in despair and desperately tried to stop him from opening it, but alas, he was too late, Fandral had already taken the lid off.

"Huh?" was the only thing that Fandral managed to say before a black inky darkness shot out and dragged him in.

"Friend Frandal!" Thor yelled, distressed. What was going on? He thought, freaked out. This had never happened before with the previous gifts. Was Loki finally getting serious? In response to his yell, an inky darkness shot out and tried to grab him too. Distracted as he was, Thor barely dodged.

"Thor!" the rest of his friends, the Warriors Three and Sif, cried out in alarm, finally getting over their shock. That was a mistake though, and the inky darkness reached for them as soon as it hear their yell. And this time it reached all of its targets.

"AHHH!" everyone screamed as they were dragged in, struggling futilely against it.

They were spit out in front of a very large pool. "Where are we?" Volstagg wondered, puzzled at what exactly had happened. He could have sworn he was in Asgard a few moments ago, how had he ended up here?

"I know not my friends, but this is all Loki's doing," Thor answered grimly, warily inspecting his surroundings. Who knew what sort of land it was?

"What should we do?" Sif asked anxiously. She was supposed to be in the training grounds to tortu -er, teach her little impressionable minions, er, that is students on sword techniques.

Thor was about to answer, but then Hogun, who had been quiet until now, said, "Look!"

Thor followed Hogun's gaze to the lake. A dark shape was underneath and nearing the surface. Were those green eyes he saw? Out of corner of his eye, he was Sif tensing and readying her weapon.

"Stop," Thor said sharply, a suspicion forming as to where he was. Sif looked uncertain, but still sheathed her weapon, trusting in Thor's judgement. Meanwhile, a long neck had broken the surface. Green eyes stared at Thor and he could see flippers beneath. Blinking in confusion and shock, Thor said, "Nephew?"

Green eyes blinked back at him, and before his eyes, the creature turned into a young boy. "UNCLE THOR!" Jormungandr shouted in joy and hugged him. Correction, a very excited young boy who was happy to see him.

"Hello Jormungandr," Thor greeted, hugging him back. He was still somewhat confused, but at least he recognized where he was. "Is your father around?"

"Not now," the boy responded, releasing Thor from the hug, "He should be dropping by soon though. He promised. By the way, did you bring me anything? It's my birthday, after all."

"Err…," Thor's mind raced as he thought about what to do. He certainly couldn't say no, not when those eyes looked at him in that adorable, expectant way. He never wanted to disappoint his nephew when he looked at him like that. He always felt horrible, like a supervillain or something, whenever he ended up disappointing him. What should he do?

Suddenly, he felt a weight in his pocket, a weight that wasn't there before. Hesitantly, he reached into his pocket and pulled it out. It was a square-shaped thing, he believed the man of iron called it a 'see dee' and it had a picture of some crazy looking people playing what looked to be musical instruments. Was he supposed to give this tiny thing to his nephew? Would he even like it, or would be end up hating it?

Jormungandr squealed in delight, "It's their latest album! Sweet! Thanks uncle, you're the best!"

"You're welcome," Thor said, awkwardly glancing around. He hadn't even known it was Jormungandr's birthday, it was all Loki's doing. In fact, he was now almost sure that Loki was around somewhere.

"I'm so happy that you remembered my birthday, Hela said that you wouldn't, but you did and I'm so glad, and Papa left me a giant cake so that we could celebrate, and I'm gonna cut the cake now and you're gonna stay a while and celebrate with me right? And you brought your friends too, so we can all celebrate, and I'm so happy!" Jormungandr babbled, excitedly gesturing with his arms. This was the best birthday ever! He loved spending time with his uncle, but his uncle never seemed to have anytime for him. He was really glad he remembered this time.

"And your father and you siblings aren't going to attend this party?" Thor asked, suddenly remembering why he tended to avoid his niece and nephews, they tended to be quite excitable. He wondered if should run away now, and if Loki would drag him kicking and screaming if he did. Loki was quite protective of his children after all.

"Oh, we already celebrated," Jormungandr answered dismissively, thinking back to the small celebration they had.

"Okay, then," Thor replied, slightly relieved that he wouldn't have to deal with more of them.

"So come on then, I've got some great games we can play," Jormungandr said happily, dragging him along to his underwater castle.

Several hours later, they were all tired from the games. Well, everyone except Jormungandr, he was still bouncing of the walls and complaining about Thor and his friends being too old.

"Jormungandr, I think it's time we returned," Thor told him, thinking back to the adventure they still hadn't completed.

"Aww," Jormungandr pouted, sad that they were going away so soon. And they were having so much fun together too.

"Don't worry, we'll visit," Thor assured, silently adding his head, in a thousand years or so. Why, oh why, do children have to be so excitable? He had enough of Jormungandr to last him a lifetime.

"Promise?" Jormungandr asked demandingly.

"Promise," Thor swore, then added again silently, in a thousand years or so.

Jormungandr brightened immediately and clapped his hands together in delight. "Yay! So here's what we'll do. When I change, you'll get on my back and I'll bring you up to the surface…"

Tony shifted impatiently from foot to foot from where he was listening to the Dewy guy's lecture. He wanted the idiot to finish talking already. It wasn't as if anything that he said was accurate after all. And anyway, Tony would soon prove him wrong anyway, so it wasn't like it mattered.

"And that is why the Loch Ness Monster isn't-"

Tony never got to hear the rest because at that moment, everyone gave a gasp. Something was rising out of the water. Something big, dark, and vaguely monster-like. Some people screamed and ran off.

Tony? Well, he did that exact opposite.

"Nessie!" Tony declared gleefully and shot to the front. Indeed, Nessie was rising from the water. Although, were there people on his back? Wait a moment, wasn't that Thor and his Asgardian friends? Was Nessie secretly an Asgardian? Oh well, it wasn't like it mattered that much, Nessie was awesome either way. Still, he couldn't believe Thor had known about Nessie and never told him.

Nessie came close to land, and Thor and his friends jumped off and landed on land. Tony thought he heard Thor say, "Thanks Jormungandr." Nessie cooed in response before ducking under the water.

"Thor!" Tony said crossly and glowered at him. He was so, so mad. Nessie was absolutely awesome, how could Thor never have introduced them to him?

"Um, yes?" Thor asked uncertainly, unsure of why his friend was glowering at him like that. He shivered, it sure was cold.

"You never told me knew Nessie," Tony accused reproachfully.

"Nessie?" Thor was bewildered, who was Nessie? He didn't know anybody called Nessie. Was this another strange Midgardian custom?

Tony scowled at him. How dare Thor pretend to not know the awesomeness and beauty that was Nessie?! "I'm not talking to you anymore," he informed Thor and stomped off.

"Friend Tony, wait!" Thor pleaded, still horribly confused as to what had just happened. He yelled, "I really don't know anyone called Nessie!"

Tony paused as he passed the Dewy idiot and told him in a superior sounding tone, "And that is why Nessie is real, you dolt."
