Disclaimer: I don't own Dr. Who or anything of that sort.
Authors note: This is just a one shot. not so floofy but its a good kind of sad. I haven't been here in ages, but please R&R!
He has your looks
He has all of your memories
He thinks like you in every way imaginable Doctor.
Yet he is not you. He can never be you.
He wasn't the man that I was with the day in the diner when we spoke of mortgages. Rose wrote as a tear ran down her cheek and a half smile came to her lips.
He wasn't the one who swept me off my feet and made me believe in the possibilities of other worlds and galaxies.
He isn't the one who made me laugh all of those times or danced around the Tardis deck, that was you Doctor.
You and I we saved people and worlds from destruction. How many times did we save Earth? I forget now. So many times at Christmas. Why is it always Christmas when they want to take over the planet and annihilate all human life?
How many times did we run after the pronouncement of that fateful word? Even now if I hear it somewhere so randomly my heart skips a beat and I look all around for you and the eminent danger we may be in. Dreaming of that thread of life that we shared. That's when I catch his gaze and reality settles in.
Rose put down her pen as she sat down. She looked up hearing a car horn sounding in the distance, in her mind she saw the blue box appear across the street. She saw her doctor walk out and shut the door behind him and lean suavely against the double doors with his feet crossed as he stared at her with that knowing smile. She picked up her pen once more.
He is not you Doctor. He is here with me for always.
He has your wit and patience's and kind heart.
He is the man that swept me off my feet on our wedding day.
We have new jokes.
He keeps my passion for travel and learning about new things in the world alive.
Yet all the time getting to know one another again.
He is not you, but he is more than a fragment of you.
We have been working on growing the tardis and it is almost complete.
He has been the most amazing gift that you could give me Doctor because although he is not you, he is you in another life…together he and I have formed a life together. I thank you Doctor, and though you told me we will never meet again, and I know it is true I still dream of it.
Thank you Doctor, thank you for everything.
Yours,
Rose Tyler
