*Eight years later*
Sabaku no Hinata was in a bit of a panic as she tried to dress her five-year-old daughter in her yukata. They were going to attend the annual summer festival and Hinata wanted all of her children to look their best. "Komiko please stop squirming" she begged as she tried to adjust the loose ends. The small girl looked up at her mother with big teal eyes. "But Mama, I don't like it!".
Hinata sighed "Sweetheart we've been through this, it looks fine. You don't see your sister fussing about her yukata". In the corner of the room, seven-year-old Karura stood in her light blue yukata with her arms folded. Out of all of the children she took after her father the most.
Hinata looked up briefly to see what her three-year-old sons were up too. Raiji and Shin were up to their usual antics of egging each other on. Honestly why did her sons always have to compete over everything. Though that's what happens when you have twins, they always try and outdo each other.
"Children please, stop moving around you want to look nice for the festival don't you?" Of course her words didn't have any effect on the twins until they were both picked up by their father. "Papa!" they said rather happily and Gaara looked down at his sons "Boys it's time to go now, try to behave you wouldn't want your mother to be mad right?"
Hinata smiled at her husband, if anyone could move their family along it was him.
"Thank you darling".
Gaara smiled at his wife. They had been married now for eight years and she still looked as beautiful as always, his love for her had never faded, it fact it had only grown stronger. She looked so radiant in her dark purple kimono with her indigo hair tied up in a bun.
Hinata gave Gaara a warm smile as she made her way over and placed a soft kiss on his lips, much to the protest of the children who verbally disagreed with their parents show of affection.
"Come along now we're all going to have a good time".
The festival was a huge hit, and the entire village was attending. The sounds of laughter and joy filled the streets of Suna, as lanterns hung from posts and stands and attraction where as far as the eye could see selling gifts and prizes of all kinds. Gaara always looked forward to spending the summer festival with his family, it made him happy that he could be a part of the action that his village had to offer.
His wife and children, they made everything more special to him. Now that he had others who were most important in his life, Gaara couldn't be happier with the way things had turned out. With Hinata as his wife and their four children beside them, life couldn't get any better for the Kazekage.
"Oi! Gaara! Hinata! Over here!"
Naruto's loud voice brought their attention, who was quickly scolded by Sakura. She then apologized for her husband's rather loud calling before joining the Kazekage and his wife.
"It's wonderful this year, you've really outdone yourself this time".
A smile came over the red head face "Thank you Naruto".
The Hokage and his wife Sakura had attended this year's festival out of request from Hinata, it was not often that she got to see her dear friends and she wanted to cherish the moments she was with her former Konoha subordinates.
The blue haired woman briefly looked over to see Naruto and Sakura's two children socializing with her four, and it made her happy to see a new generation of future shinobi getting to know each other.
Nearly all of her friends from Konoha had come to visit Suna. It was a good way to strengthen the alliance between them if they attended one another's festivals. Naruto's rein as Hokage had been nothing but prosperous, Konoha had never been better.
At some point Hinata and her family had joined up with Temari and hers. Shikamaru still looked as bored as ever, but deep down he was happy to be with his wife and son as the enjoyed themselves visiting Suna, Shikadai didn't get to see his mother's home village often and he wanted him to experience Suna in a good way.
Kankuro had also joined up with his wife and triplets. No one would've expected that a guy like him, would find love and start a family. But Kankuro couldn't be happier with the way things were. At last all three siblings had others to call their own and that's the way it should be.
"Mama can we go play some games?"
Hinata looked down at her daughter and nodded. She laughed a bit when Komiko practically dragged Karura to the nearest stand to try and win some prizes.
Soon the two sisters, where having a blast trying to win as many prizes as their small arms would allow them to hold before going back to their mother and demanding that she hold their goodies while they went back for more.
It was rather humorous that Karura being the oldest child, allowed her younger siblings to take her everywhere they wanted to go. But she was doing what a big sister always did for their siblings try and make them happy.
Gaara meanwhile was occupied with his twin boys. Both of them wanted his attention and he was finding it rather hard to pay attention to both of them at the same time.
As the family enjoyed the rest of the night, all too soon it was time for the fireworks show to start. As Kazekage Gaara and his family would receive the best spots to enjoy the displays.
"Papa let's go, the show is about to start!"
Gaara laughed at his children's inpatients. But they couldn't happen, they were all eager to see the fireworks to celebrate the end of the festival.
The red head was right about to lead his family away when none other than Matsuri stopped him.
"Gaara-sama I hope your enjoying the festival".
Over the years Matsuri had really matured. No longer did she chase after Gaara as some crazy fan girl that she once was for the longest time. But now she saw him and Hinata as old friends.
Matsuri had formed her own special friendship with Hinata after she married Gaara; one might even say that the two were close.
Peeking from behind her, was her two year old son. Yuro looked up at the Kazekage with big black orbs. He looked very much like father, but he had his mother's eyes. "My son please greet Lord Gaara he's a very important figure to the village".
Yuro timidly made his way over still holding Matsuri's hand. "Hello Lord Kazekage" he said in awe. This caused Gaara to smile as he patted the small boy's head. "I hope you enjoy the rest of the festival" he said before turning his attention to Matsuri.
"Enjoy yourself Matsuri and thank you for brining your son".
Matsuri gave a genuine smile.
"Kazekage-sama you really should go back to your family, I've kept you from them long enough".
Gaara nodded before making his way over to Hinata. He pecked her cheek which made her giggle. "What did Matsuri want?" "Oh nothing, she just wished me a good time that's all".
Hinata had to laugh "Mmm, that's so out of contrast from before isn't it? I still remember all those times she really wanted to be beside you and she'd drive you up the wall for no-" Gaara cut her off with a kiss. "If you don't mind I'd rather not bring up the past. I want to watch the fireworks with my beautiful wife and children".
Hinata blushed a bit and nodded "Yes your right. My dashing husband deserves a good time".
Gaara chuckled a bit, as he wrapped an arm around Hinata leading her and their children to a prime spot to watch the fireworks. And it wasn't long till the night sky was painted with an extraordinary burst of colors that left everyone cheering for more.
Hinata snuggled into her husband as she watched the show. It truly was a wonderful night, moments like these where they spent their time together as a family were worth cherising.
When the show finally ending, Gaara and Hinata allowed their children to have fun for a few more hours before it was time to head home. The couple walked hand in hand as they laughed alongside their kids.
The red head then helped his wife put all four children to bed before he pinned her against the wall and locked his lips with hers "Gaara" "Hmm?" He broke their kiss for a moment to stare at his wife.
"Thank you for everything I'm so glad that I fell in love with you".
Gaara gave her a smirk as he lifted her bridal style and carried her to their bedroom "I am too, and it's only going to get even better" that was all he said before assumed kissing her and commanding his sand to close and lock the door.
