"Are you a man or a one-legged Pikachu?!"

Like leading a welter-weight boxer through a tough match, Sapphire leapt through tree branches as she followed Black's trail along the forest rivers. He was skipping from one slippery rock to another, careful not to accidentally slip and break his skull. (Or slip and drown) Either one would be bad.

Following his trail was his trusty pig pokemon, trying to keep up to his ever-zealous master. "Just a little more, Bo! We can do this!"

A single fang made an appearance as Sapphire smirked. She liked this boy's moxy and eagerness to learn.

Meanwhile, the more feminine of the pair was busy choreographing Mimi's dance for the grand finale of the movie as per the request of his business partner, White.

"One, two, three, one, two, three... That's it my beautiful princess Mimi! Just imagine, instead of a small crowd of people watching you dance, you'll be shown all over the region... Maybe even all over the WORLD!"

Sparkles glistened in Ruby's crimson eyes as he pictured the spoils of the fame and glamour of Pokèwood.

On the corner of the dance studio, White sat restlessly as she cascaded a bunch of photographs of amateur actresses for screening for the big movie.

"No... No... NO! All these girls won't do!" She fiddled with her long brown hair as she thought of a way around this problem.

"All these girls look so... Normal! Cinderfeebas needs to be someone you'll pitty but also root for to rise from the ashes of..."

Suddenly, images of messy caramel locks danced around White's vision, before being greeted by a flash of striking blue eyes.

Their training continued with some Vine Swinging 101, followed by Black being blindfolded and made to wander through the forest using his other four senses. Needless to say, Black was absolutely exhausted after the whole day of training and collapsed on a grass field next to his coach.

"Where...*wheeze* do you... *wheeze* get all your energy from, coach?"

"Well... My papa's a researcher ya see!" She thumbed the hem of her grass skirt absent-mindedly. "Ever since I can remember, I've been exploring this forest as if it was my very own backyard."

"That... Makes sense" Black simply replied.

"Also-" Sapphire continued, prompting her trainee to look at her as his curiosity sparked.

"Well... I want to be useful to the people I love. The worst feelin' in the world is bein' helpless." She plopped on the ground and closed her eyes intently. Black squinted his eyes in deep thought as his dark brown eyes wandered towards the setting sun.

"The people you love huh-" He repeats, making the girl beside him blush.

With no difficulty whatsoever, he asked her "So you mean that Ruby guy?"

As if she was slapped in the face, Sapphire flicked her gaze away from Black in embarrassment. "Well... I don't really know. We don't talk about it."

Uncomfortable with the change in topic, she coughed and asked about him and White.

"So, you and that girl... What was her name... White?"

"Oh me and prez?" He blushes, but shakes his head furiously afterward. "Nah, we hardly have anything in common!"

Sapphire lets out a guffaw. "And y'think Ruby and I do?"

Black nods. "Come to think of it..."

"So why d'ya call her prez?"

"It's a long story- basically, I work for her. Kinda have a debt to pay. It's been fun but I just really want to be the champion of the Unova Pokemon League. It's my childhood dream."

"-But you have a debt to settle?" She asked, as if to remind him of his promise.

"Right you are."

Memories of wearing frilly dresses and brushing unkept hair flew through her head.

"Man! I know how it feels to do stuff you want nothin' to do with."

The dark haired trainer laughs and lightly punched her in the arm . "You- you're alright, coach."

Sapphire smiled as she got up and offered a hand to him. To Black's relief Sapphire seemed to be finished with training for the day.

"We're losin' light. Time to get back!" With a curt nod in reply, they started their treck back to civilization.

After Ruby wrapped up his Milotic's dance training, White thought to relax for a bit in their now favorite cafe. (This was fully supported by White, so had to oblige) He waited along with White in the same cafe they bumped into.

"So, about the lead role..." She started. His ears perked as he thought of the different girls he thought would suit the role.

Platina? Nah, she's much too honest to lie, let alone act... Marge could possibly pull it off, but she's much more suited to play an evil step sister. The most obvious option flashed through his mind, but he quickly shrugged it off because this particular option couldn't act for her life.

...Or so he thought.

"...I was thinking about your friend, Sapphire." With a hand tucked under her chin, she asked Ruby of his opinion as she stared into space.

"You CANNOT be serious!" He exclaimed as he dramatically rose from his seat to bang his hands on the table. (Well, it was more of a light pat because he didn't want to damage the porcelain cups.)

"You'll be sorry you even considered her! She's about the worst choice you could ever make!"

White furrowed her brows. Why was he so against this? She thought.

"What's wrong with Sapphire? The producer specifically told me to get someone fresh. Sapphire seems so raw and unkept! She's perfect for the role!"

"B-but what're you gonna do when she transforms into a princess? You'll never get her to wear a dress, and believe me, I've tried!"

"We could always get a double, if it comes to that." She giggled. "We'll ask her to read an excerpt from the script tomorrow."

"...Don't say I didn't warn you"

"Hey! Who knows? She might turn out to be a star in the making!"

Ruby shivered at the thought, "Sapphire? An actress?" and began to laugh to himself.

She might just surprise us.

*Ring ring*

Sapphire's Poketech vibrated inside her pocket. She signaled Black to stop their trek for a second as she answered it with a 'beep'.

"Hey, Ruby. 'Sup?"

"Are you all finished with playtime, Sapph?" Ruby teased.

"We were NOT playing, Ruby! We did some high-leveled athletic training!" She screamed into the phone, causing the red-eyed trainer on the other end of the line to jump in shock. " "Ow ow! Ok, I get it!"

He took a deep breath before he continued. This got her curious.

"Sapphire, meet me at the cafe as soon as you can. It's important." He said as seriously as he could.

"Why? Did something happen?!"

*Beep beep beep* The call ended.

"What was that about?"

"R-ruby wants me back at that cafe pronto and he didn't say why-"

"Did he sounds serious?"

Sapphire furrowed her brows in thought. "Y'know... I'm not quite sure. Whatever it is, we can travel faster with Relo!"

She shoved her two fingers into her mouth and whistled. Just then, Black could hear the unusual sound of large, flapping wings. The sound lead him to look up at a large Tropius, majestically landing in front of them. Black couldn't keep his excitement at the scene and screamed to the world:

"MY COACH IS THE BEST MASTER COACH IN ALL OF HOENN!"

The spa session ended a while after his call, as Ruby gently wiped Mimi's pokeball clean. He looked at her through the plastic material with great pride.

White noticed the way he loved and cared for his pokemon, feeling her heart grow warm as she observed the sparkle in Ruby's eyes. Ruby loves his pokemon and watching them perform. I've never met anyone like that before... I can totally relate.

Suddenly, the bell at the door of the cafe rang furiously as the door swung open. They didn't even have to look to know who it was the caused the racket.

"RUBY!" A girl cried out. The guy in question didn't budge.

She stormed her way through a couple of shocked cafe patrons. Whether it was her outrageous 'forest' fashion or wild-like thirst for blood that shocked them, we will never know.

"You're here! Good." White exclaimed as she jumped up from her seat, trying to shake the looming attraction to Ruby off her chest. She grabbed hold of Sapphire's hands and looked right into her jet blue eyes.

"Sapphire... How do you feel about being in a movie?"

A/N: Can you believe been around 4 years since my last update? Neither can I! But I have this thing where I can't really move on from any fandom. Like a boomerang, it just swings by me again. Lets hope this muse stays long enough for me to finish this!

Take not that the accuracy of the characters from the Unova region might be a teensy bit less canon than the manga. It has been years and I've only (honestly) read the first part of BW Pokespe... So let's hope my characterization isn't too far off.

PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF THERE'RE STILL FANS OUT THERE THROUGH A REVIEW! Helps me keep going. Thanks guys!

I'm back~
