Chapter 7: The most irritating interruption and a hostage situation
Chancellor Palpatine, AKA Darth Sidious the Dark Lord of the Sith, was staring out at the Jedi Temple from his office as a trickle of sweat slowly slid across his forehead and down the side of his face. The Chancellor had been staring at the Jedi Temple for hours once he sensed that the boy, Nico Di Angelo, had returned from the battle of Ryloth.
How is this possible? I did not foresee his interference. I didn't even foresee him helping the Separatists.
When Palpatine was given the report on the battle of Ryloth and The Ghost Kings involvement he had been mildly impressed, but when Dooku gave him a much more detailed report that his assassin, Ventress, had given him, from the amount of power that radiated from the aura of The Ghost King to the graceful and powerful movements in the way he walks, the Dark Lord of the Sith felt something he hadn't felt since he had been a small boy. Respect. The Son of Hades surely was a force to be reckoned with and Palpatine was not suicidal enough to want to challenge Nico alone or directly.
The Chancellor was mildly surprised when Nico accepted the offer to become a Jedi and join the Republic. He had been so sure that The Ghost King would say no and prefer execution because of the amount of 'honour' that thrived within him, and how much he hated politics. A small smirk slid itself on the Chancellors face as he remembered a statement from the Son of Hades during a lesson on the history of the galaxy.
"What is democracy? What is the Senate but thousands of voices screaming at one another until they drown themselves out, Inactivity is the state of normalcy within a democracy. Only Empires accomplish anything."
That one statement had been one of the reasons why the Dark Lord did not execute The Ghost King on the spot for interrupting him while teaching him about the Republic. The small smirk on Palpatines face changed into a look of puzzlement.
So what changed his views? The Chancellor mused, He absolutely loathes politicians, that was proved when Dooku introduced him to the rest of the Separatist alliance, he nearly slit the throat of San Hill when he stated that Nico was nothing more than another Commander droid, that could be replaced in a second…In fact, the way that he talked to that useless Senator from Ryloth, I would think that his opinion hasn't changed.
Palpatine smirked, his puzzlement at Nico's decision fading to a simple truth. Nico would not stand with the Republic for long, it was simply not who he was and Palpatine could sense, no, he could foresee that The Ghost King would turn his back on the Republic if the proper motivation were given. The Sith Lord's smile slowly turned to a frown as he realised there was nothing Nico cared for. At that thought, Sidious rolled his eyes. He has become a mere Jedi, and there weakness is to care for all beings in the galaxy, I will find out what he cares for most and exploit it. Reaffirming his belief in the Darkside of the Force Sidious now thought of Nico not as an obstacle to his power, but a catalyst. Nico could be turned once again and all it would take would be a few minutes within the chaos of the Senate chambers. Should that not work, Palpatine's thoughts turned to a threat beyond the eyes of the Jedi and the Republic that he himself had stumbled upon.
Should the Senate fail to convince him, perhaps 'he' will…
Shuddering slightly, Palpatine ignored the thoughts of the ally/threat that he had stumbled upon and slowly turned, seating himself in his comfortable chair and straightening his Senatorial robes. He could be patient, he has been waiting for decades for the Clone War to begin, and perhaps The Ghost King would join him in time.

"Shut up," Nico says to Ahsoka angrily, flipping the material so his opponent can't even get so much as glimpse of his secrets.
"Admit it, you might be able to lift a tank into the air, defeat several Jedi at once and use incredible powers that no one has ever seen, but you can't even win a simple game of Pazaak." Comes the taunt from a smug Togruta, an insult targeted right at Nico.
Nico sighed in frustration, "I've never been good at Pazaak, it doesn't help when you only have droids to play against and even then they are programmed to lose against a commanding officer."
Ahsoka rolled her eyes at his excuse, and sighed in mock pity, "The rules are pretty simple." (I guess I should explain the rules.)
Pazaak was played with a deck of 40 cards that contains 4 cards of each number 1-10. To play the game each player (two players) is meant to have a deck of their own. The player draws 4 random cards from his/her deck. This is called the player's hand. The player can use these cards for all 3 rounds, but can only be used once per match. The objective is to use your + or – cards to get the closest to 20 without going over. You also had a side deck of 10 cards that the player gets to make up at the start of the game. (If you want me to explain in more description just ask me or research it on the internet.)
Nico bit his lip nervously, reviewing the rules in his head as fast as possible.
"And don't tell me to go to Hades," the female Jedi warns, waving a finger as a mother does to a child. "You're not very good with insults if you keep using that all the time. I mean, didn't you say that your father is Hades? Why do you use his name as an insult?"
Nico ignored the opportunity to use that very line, and shrugged off the question. I've got five cards in my hands, and I'm going to win this match, damnit. I've only won once, and I think Ahsoka was being nice to me then.
If Nico won this round, he could actually prevail, pull through, and dominate this set, relatively speaking, given that Ahsoka was in the same situation: sudden death. Nico's hand totals right now at seventeen…that meant that Nico is dangerously close to going over twenty. But then again, Ahsoka's looking at a fourteen. The goal is to hit twenty, and Nico used all his side cards but a "+7" and a "+5", which have to be incredibly pointless.
"Ready?" Ahsoka asks, her orange hand poised over the deck of cards. Nico wordlessly nodded, praying that he would finally get lucky.
The first card flips over onto Ahsoka's side, plus four, for a total of eighteen. Good, but I think can do better, finally, a chance to one up my smug, Togruta friend. Nico watches as she slowly, tantalizingly flips over the last card, the one that'll ultimately decide the outcome in this battle.
It's a plus six.
"Fuck!" Nico cursed loudly, breaking the silence. "Do I seriously have to do this?"
A smirk worked its way across Ahsoka's face. Nico knew that he was beaten now, given that look, reminds him of a predator that's found her prey.
"You insisted upon rules besides Republic Senate, and we agreed on five practice sets," Ahsoka teases, gesturing at Nico. "Nar Shaddaa means either credits, or…"
Nico curses under his breath, playing with his boot, until it comes off. Nico angrily threw it across the room, ignoring the sound of the shoe hitting the wall and then the floor.
I hate strip Pazaak, the only reason on why I agreed to this was if Ahsoka put on some extra clothes.
"If I just admit that I suck at this," Nico mutters, grinding his teeth together, "Does that mean I don't have to keep playing?"
Ahsoka shakes her head in response, casually swiping all the cards off the floor into a messy pile. Nico watches her as she shuffles the deck, priming another confrontation between the two. Her eyes aren't even looking at any of the cards, either from experience or she's using the Force in some way I don't know about. I've never really had time to play Pazaak so it's probably the latter.
Nico raps his fingers against the deck, lying back down, a mirror image of Ahsoka – who in the past thirty minutes has pretty much lade prone in the room, the cards in between the two.
"We could try something besides Pazaak," Nico suggests, sighing as loudly as possible when Ahsoka's done sorting the cards. "You know… something I could actually win at. Like trying to scare a Senator, now that's fun."
"Has anyone told you you're a bit weird?" Ahsoka asks, rolling her eyes dramatically just to add effect.
"Who hasn't?" Nico asks back. "All the damn time."
Ahsoka shrugged, as if to say 'Fair enough', giving Nico a number of cards to look at. Nico shoots a glance at the five Pazaak cards in his 'side-deck', the ones that Ahsoka can't see. Looks like my total is twelve, a bit better than last time. Nico doesn't do anything, gesturing for Ahsoka to take her turn.
Nico does the math in his head as quickly as possible, looking over Ahsoka's cards along with the two she's just put down. Eleven, which isn't bad – it all depends on what the next hand gives. Okay, the next one of mine is actually a plus ten, pushing me over the limit of twenty. This means I'm going to lose, again. Good thing I've got one card in my selected side deck, a minus two, making exactly twenty.
Nico launches himself from the ground, pumping his fist into the air.
Nico couldn't wipe the smug smile off of his face, especially when realisation hits Ahsoka's features. She puts on a scowl to match Nico's from earlier, and takes one of her boots off, placing it behind her. Instead of laying back down, she sits up.
"You got lucky, didn't you?" The Togruta Jedi says, narrowing her eyes. "It's been quite a while since I played by Nar Shaddaa rules, even longer since I've lost."
Nico readjusts himself, sitting up as well, tossing his cards back toward Ahsoka, ignoring that he just made a disorganised mess. Though, something about what Ahsoka just said tugs on his mind, a little nagging statement that's making him slightly angry.
"You've played by these…rules before?" Nico asked, investigating her most recent statement. "Nar Shaddaa rules?"
Ahsoka picks up on the undertones immediately, ceasing all efforts to pick up the cards Nico tossed about.
"It gets boring in the Temple, the younglings used to play it all the time, I literally never lost" Ahsoka said with a bit of a shrug, then in a mischievous voice, "Why do you ask?"
"Um, no reason," Nico muttered, tapping his foot, the tiniest of a blush making its way onto his face, waiting anxiously for the next set of cards, anything to change the topic.
"Nico Di Angelo, are you jealous?"
Nico practically fell backwards as if her words were a physical blow.
"I didn't say that," Nico said, the small blush getting bigger and bigger. Nico didn't even understand what he was feeling, all he knew was that he wanted to rip the head off of anyone who asks Ahsoka to play Pazaak by Nar Shaddaa rules.
Nico honestly didn't know what was going on. Things seem to slow way down, and before Nico could get a grasp of anything, he realises that Ahsoka was only a few inches away from his face, enough that he could feel the heat of her breath on his face.
"I – um – well…" Nico stutters, in an unusually nervous tone for The Ghost King, his cheeks growing so warm that it nearly hurt. The two teenagers' faces were only a single inch away from each other.
Half an inch.
Quarter of an inch.
Suddenly Ahsoka's comlink went off and the two jumped apart as quickly as possible, both blushing madly. Ahsoka brought her wrist comm up and activated it.
"W-what?" Ahsoka asked in nervous yet angry tone, obviously flustered.
"Touchy, aren't you snips," The voice of Anakin Skywalker comes from the comlink, Ahsoka could practically hear the smirk in his voice.
"What is it Master?" Ahsoka asks in a more respectful tone, controlling her temper slightly.
"Right," Anakin says in a more serious tone, "meet me in the sparring room. We have quite a bit of training to catch up on." Skywalker says.
Ahsoka scowled slightly, Talk about bad timing Master, "Yes Master." She said as she lowered her wrist.
An incredibly awkward silence came over the two, Nico opened his mouth to say something, but was interrupted by Ahsoka, "I should go." Before Nico could say anything, she was out of the room faster than Nico could destroy a battle droid.
Nico watched as she left his quarters, he didn't move for at least ten seconds trying to comprehend what just happened. Suddenly, his comlink went off, breaking Nico from his trance, Nico bought his wrist comm up and activated it.
"Nico here,"
"Di Angelo, this is Windu, Chancellor Palpatine has requested your presence."
Nico raised an eyebrow, "Why?" He said as he got up and started walking out of his quarters.
"I don't know, he's a politician, he probably wants to use you for propaganda." Windu says, voice a void of emotion.
"Sounds like a real honour." Nico says sarcastically.
"Just get to the Senate building." Windu said.
Once Nico reached the Senate he started walking toward the Chancellors office, noting that the Senate was suspiciously empty, Don't matter, means less annoying politicians to try and avoid.

Meanwhile, a small speeder filled with Bounty Hunters was making its way toward the Senate building. The speeder had two Commando droids, a weequay, an IG-86 assassin droid, and the most notorious Bounty Hunter since Jango Fett, Cad Bane.
As the speeder was closing in on the Senate landing pad, Bane turned to the two droids in the back and signalled them to hide, "Here we go." The Bounty Hunter stated.
Bane was a male blue alien species known as Duros. He wore a ridiculously wide-brimmed hat and a Nashtan-hide tunic with a heavy cloak.
The blue Senatorial guards noticed the speeder coming in for a landing, so the Captain put on his megaphone function in his helmet.
"Attention! Attention! This is a restricted area. No landing is permitted without permission." Bane chose to ignore the blue guards and landed, as soon as he landed the guards started walking up to him. "Violaters will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law."
As soon as Bane jumped out of the Speeder, the Captain in charge turned the microphone system in his helmet off and started speaking to Bane, "Put up your hands." He ordered.
Banes face was hidden by the shadow of his wide brimmed hat, "I've got business with the Senate." The Bounty Hunter stated, but the guards could tell he wasn't serious, if the sinister smile was anywhere to go by. "How about you fellas step aside?"
All the guards aimed there weapons at the Bounty Hunter, "On you're knees!" The Captain ordered, "Raise your hands, slowly." Bane did just that, but the guards were still unnerved by the calm smile that was on his face.
"Son," Bane sighed, as if he was scolding a child, "I wouldn't be so hasty if I were you."
The Captain points toward one of the guards, "Cuff him." The guard nodded, but once he was a metre away from Bane, a blaster shot hit him in the chest. The shot didn't come from the speeder or Bane.
The Senate guards started to take cover as more shots started taking out more soldiers, "Where's that coming from?" The Captain asks. One of the guards looks up at one of the skyscrapers around the Senate, to see a flashing, the sun hitting a sniper scope.
Said guard points at the tower, "I see the shooter up in the towe-" He was cut off as a shot hit him directly in the face. The Captain looks at his fallen comrade, but then his eyes widen as he realises something, he looked back to where Bane was, only to see said Bounty Hunter running toward him.
The Bounty Hunter gave the Captain a right hook, and put his head in a head lock, choking him.
On the speeder the two Commando droid, weequay, and IG unit came out of the speeder and started blasting the rest of the security forces.
The Senatorial guards were losing to the skill of the Bounty Hunters so they decided to retreat but those that retreated were met with a blaster shot in the back, courtesy of our mysterious sniper.
Then there was silence. Until a loud snap came from the direction of Cad Bane, who just snapped the Captains neck.
Bane looked up at the tower and signalled for the sniper to come down. Bane walked up to the two Commando droids, "You two, get these uniforms on, and get this platform clear." Bane ordered as he gestured toward two dead Senate guards who didn't have any blaster marks on them.
As one of the droids reached down to start dressing into the armour, the guards comlink went off, "Base to platform, what was all that?" The voice of a Clone asked, The commando droid looked to Bane, as if asking something, to which Bane nodded his consent. "Report!"
The Commando droid grabbed the comlink and bought it towards its voice vocoder, "Protesters against the war," The droid said in a perfect voice of a clone, "We've taken care of them."
Bane smirked slightly, glad that he bought those two droids, then turned his head as he heard another speeder make its landing. Out of the speeder came two more IG unit assassin droids, a small fish like creature called Robonino who had a metal eyepatch and a backpack filled with equipment, and one of the most feared assassins, Aurra Sing.
Sing is renowned for her sniper expertise. She is as pale as a sheet, just like Ventress. She has an antenna sticking out of her head thanks to an implant, it means she doesn't have to carry a comlink around.
Bane turned back around to see that the Commando droids were halfway done putting on the armour of the Senate guards. "Finish getting those uniforms on, and clear this platform now." Bane ordered, the two droids nodded, "Everybody else, follow me." Bane ordered as he walked toward the entrance of the Senate building.

I am so lost.
Nico was starting to get incredibly irritated now, not only was he lost but he also forgot to bring his damn lightsaber with him, he has been stopped numerous times by Senate guards who have asked 'What's a kid doing in the Senate?' It always ends with him having to lift up one of there blasters with the Force to prove that he's a Jedi, and thanks to his irritation of having to prove to the guards who he was, he always forgets to ask them which way it is to the Chancellors office.
Nico sighed, Why don't they put a map up in this place?

Meanwhile, with the Bounty Hunters, they had encountered no one other than a few droids, who were quickly taken care of. As the two IG units turned a corner they saw a Senate guard standing in front of the door that they had to get into. The two droids quickly raised there blasters and shot the Guard in the chest, the door opening as the guard fell backwards.
The droids in the room stopped whatever they were doing and looked to the entrance, only to see Bane enter with one of his blaster pistols aimed at them, then the massacre of droids began.
One of the droids tried to run away but was quickly shot at by Aurra Sing.
The rest of the Bounty Hunters walked into the room, now identified as the reactor room for the entire Senate, with Robonino rubbing his hands with a massive smirk on his face.
Bane turned to face Robonino and pointed at a console, "You know what to do."
The fish like alien started messing with the console, "Eh," he said with a shrug, "I'll figure it out."
"You better not fail me bubble brain." Bane spat out.
The small Bounty Hunter wirls around, looking Bane right in the eye. "Don't worry, I'll have the power off in no time." The Bounty Hunter reassures.
Bane merely rolls his eyes and heads toward the exit, "The rest of you come with me."
The rest of the Bounty Hunters follow Bane towards the Senate guard quarters, as soon as they reach them they stop beside the wall, looking around the corner, a squad of guards just entered the quarters, making Bane smirk, Right on time.
Bane grabbed a thermal detonator from the inside of his cloak and quietly walked toward the quarters, he set the thermal detonator on and threw it into the quarters, just as the doors closed.
Bane tipped his hat toward the closed doors and started walking off, once he was three metres away, a large explosion forced the doors to fall down, Bane glanced behind him to see the other Bounty Hunters following him, "Now, lets go talk to some Senators."
As Aurra walked past the guard quarters, she noticed something out of the corner of her eyes, she looked down, only to see a Senate guard crawling out of the debris, he looked at Aurra and reached toward her with his hand.
"Help me." The guard said weakly.
Aurra smirked grabbed one of her pistols and aimed it at the guards head, the guard tried desperately to get away.
"No! N-Gaa!"

Meanwhile, in a different part of the Senate, ten Senators were discussing an upcoming vote on the Enhanced Privacy Invasion Bill legislation. The room they were in was an atrium. The most prominent Senators were, Padme Amidala, Bail Organa and Riyo Chuchi.
"We cannot allow the Chancellor to move this Enhanced Privacy Invasion Bill forward." Organa states to the rest of his fellow Senators.
"We're all in agreement then." Senator Philo states, before anyone could say anything else, one of the doors to the Atrium opened and in walked Cad Bane, one of the IG units next to him. Bane caught the Senators' attention by firing several blaster shots into the ceiling.
"Morning Senators," Bane greeted, "you should all consider yourselves to be in my power," Bane continued as another one of the Atrium doors opened, revealing another IG unit and the weequay. "As long as everybody behaves," another door, revealing Aurra Sing, "this will be quick and painless. Do nothing, and it will all be over soon."
Senator Philo looked completely indignant and pointed a finger at Bane, "I don't know who you think you are, but I for one, have no intention of listening to this kind of insolence." The Senator said, head held high as he marched past Bane.
Bane just sighed in annoyance, grabbed one of his pistols, and shot the back of the arrogant Senator eliciting screams and gasps of horror from the rest.
Bane turned back toward the other Senators with a nonchalant look, "Alright then, if you'll all gather into the centre of this lovely Atrium, my co-workers and I will relieve you of any communication devices."

The Chancellor was just looking outside of his office window at the view of Coruscant when his door suddenly opened, revealing the boisterous figure of Senator Orn Free Taa.
"Chancellor Palpatine!" The Senator exclaimed in panic, as he walked toward a holo transmitter.
Palpatine turned toward the Senator, "What is it Senator Taa?" The Chancellor asks cautiously, as he made his way toward the holo transmitter.
"I think you should see this." The Senator says gravely, as he clicks a button on the holo transmitter, only to show Bane.
"Sorry to bother you Chancellor," Bane says in a bored tone, "but I've taken control of the east wing of you're Senate building, and the occupants are now my hostages, if you care about them, I would advise you to free Ziro the Hutt from your little detention centre." The Bounty Hunter states, the Chancellors eyes narrowed.
"You should know that the Republic does not take kindly to such threats." The Chancellor warns, "If you have attempted such a fool hardy action as to kidnap a Senator, I assure you that it will be met with appropriate force."
Back in the reactor room, Robonino had just finished his assigned task, "This ought to do it." The Bounty Hunter states as he presses a button, all power turning off all around the Senate.
The lights all around the Senate turn off and the doors to the Chancellors office seal shut. As the lights turn off, as quick as a flash backup generators came on, turning on the red lights.
Nico had just turned a corner when this all happened, his eyes narrowed. "What going on?" He mutters.
Back in Palpatines office, Bane looks at the Chancellor with a smirk. "I'm in control, I make the rules now." he states as the hologram winks off.
The Chancellor immediately runs toward the doors to his office and tried opening them with his hands, "Orn Free Taa, help me with this door." The Chancellor orders.
"Its no use sir," The Senator says, "someone's gotten to the central control panel. They've triggered the security system, The Senate building has sealed itself."
The Chancellor runs back to his holo transmitter, and puts in a frequency, "This is Chancellor Palpatine, there is an emergency in the Senate building." No response. "Jedi Council come in." No response. "Is anyone there?" Nothing but static.
"That's no use either sir," Senator Taa says, "they've cut off all communication with the outside."

Bane was collecting all the communication devices from each Senator, "Hand over your communication devices please." He ordered, and each one gave him them until it was only Padme.
"Well, hello there little lady." Bane greeted, as he grabbed the Senator by the chin to have her look him in the eyes. "And who might you be?"
Meanwhile Nico was still looking around the Senate, thoroughly confused on what's happening, until he heard a familiar voice.
"I am Padme Amidala, Senator from Naboo," Nico's eyes widened as he rushed toward the voice, he stopped as he reached an edge of an atrium, he looked down to see ten Senators, one on the floor dead, and a bunch of bounty Hunters, Nico quickly hid in the shadows as the Senator continued, "And I demand that you release us immediately, the Galactic Senate will not treat with terrorists." Nico narrows his eyes as he looks at the amount of Bounty Hunters, This may be a bit tougher than usual.
"Ain't you a little young to be a Senator?" Bane drawls, Nico comes out of the shadows a little to get a better look at what was happening, Padme noticed him and glanced for merely a second, but that was enough to gain Banes attention.
Bane turned around and glance up toward the top section of the atrium, only to see Nico, Bane aimed his weapon and fired three shots, only to miss Nico as he runs back through the way he came, but Bane still got a good look at him.
"Di Angelo!?" Bane exclaimed in annoyance, "After him!" He orders the Weequay and one of the IG units.
The two Bounty Hunters nodded and turned toward one of the atrium doors and started running after the Jedi.

Nico was running through one of the corridors of the Senate as he grabbed his comlink, "Hello. Is anyone there?" Nothing but static, damn it, they blocked the communications. Nico thought as he rounded a corner, but once he was fully around, two Bounty Hunters were standing there waiting for him.
Nico just smirked and reached for his lightsaber only to grab nothing, Nico's eyes widened, "Not good." he Bounty Hunters started opening fire upon Nico who rounded the corner again, Nico could faintly hear the two Bounty Hunters running after him, and if the blaster shot that just went past his head was anything to go by, he hadn't lost them.
Nico rounded one more corner and found himself in a corridor with at least a dozen rooms, he quickly used the Force to get him quickly to the communication room on the far end of the corridor before the Bounty Hunters could see him.
The two Bounty Hunters rounded the corner, only to see an empty corridor with a dozen rooms. The weequays jaw tensed as he started to look into one of the rooms, the flashlight on his blaster turned on. He quickly scanned the room and saw something moving, he moved the light to the source but it was just some droid. The Bounty Hunter scowled and moved on to the next room. The IG unit was doing the same.
Meanwhile, Nico was in the communications room at the far end of the corridor, he saw one of the holo transmitters and smirked as he remembered one of Skywalker's lessons on mechanics. He took the lid off of the holo transmitter and took out the small power core, and snapped it in two, making a small noise, Nico winced as he checked the door to see if the Bounty Hunters heard it, luckily they didn't.
Nico took out three wires from the power core plugged one of them into his communicator device and used the other two to hotwire it, he tried to get a frequency to the Jedi temple, but only static greeted him, so instead he put in a frequency to the Chancellors office.
"This is Commander Di Angelo, Chancellor Palpatine do you read me?" Nico whispers into the communicator, at first there was only static, but then the voice of the Chancellor came online.
"My dear boy, I'm glad to know your there and alright." The Chancellor says warmly, but Nico didn't have time for pleasantries.
"What's going on down there?" Nico questions a bit too loudly and he winces.
"Bounty Hunters have captured ten Senator, and they have sealed the entire building." The Chancellor says, but Nico senses the Bounty Hunters were getting closer. "We can't get in or out, its up to you, you have to get to the power control room and turn off the security seal." Nico's eyes widen as he senses the Bounty Hunters were nearly at the room, he quickly disconnects the communicator and puts everything back and hides behind the holo transmitter.
The second he hides behind the holo transmitter two lights shine in the room, Nico frowns and narrows his eyes, as much as he would love to just get rid of these two Bounty Hunters he had more important things to do. Nico reached out with the Force and entered the Weequays mind.
"You have two more floors to check." Nico muttered.
For a minute the weequays eyes just seemed to glaze over, but he soon snapped out of it and glanced at his droid companion, "Come on, we have two more floors to check." Once they were out of the room Nico glanced over the holo transmitter and walked over to the door just to sneak a look at which way they were going, they turned the corridor on the right, Nico frowned as his thoughts turn toward the threat that they pose, especially the IG unit, so he decided to follow them until they reached the stairs.
"I'll go up stairs you go down," The Weequay says, "we'll meet on the other side."
The IG unit nodded as it made its way down the stairs and the weequay up, Nico decided to follow the IG unit first so he could take down the bigger threat.
Once both Nico and the IG unit were on the bottom floor, Nico decided to reveal himself as he ran toward the back of the IG unit. The IG unit, hearing his footsteps, turned around, only to see the form of The Ghost King jump at it.
They both fell to the ground, and Nico punched the droid in its long face, ignoring the pain that it bought to him, and grabbed the droids blaster rifle, the droid kicked him off and got up, and Nico got up quickly as well and aimed the rifle at the droid, but his eyes widened as the droid grabbed the barrel of the gun and bent it so it was aiming at Nico, I hate these droids, Nico thought to himself as he Force pushed the droid into the wall, causing it to fall on its metal hide, Nico rushed over to it and started smashing the droid with its own gun, he aimed for the head, and the head came flying off, before Nico could do anymore damage he heard footsteps running down the stairs, damn it, I forgot about him. Nico thought to himself as he dropped the broken rifle and ran down the corridor, rounding a corner.
Meanwhile the Weequay Bounty Hunter came down the stairs, only to come to a complete halt as he saw the mess of the IG unit, but that wasn't what caught his attention, the Bounty Hunter walked up to assassin droid and picked up the head.
"No lightsaber cuts," The Bounty Hunter mused with a smirk. "Interesting."

Bane was waiting anxiously for the two Bounty Hunters to return to the atrium, until he heard one of the doors opening, revealing the weequay Bounty Hunter. "What happened? Where's the droid?" Bane questions.
The Bounty Hunter frowns, "The droids gone," But then he smirked. "But there's good news. The Jedi's unarmed."
Everyone eyes widen, including the Senators, "What?" Bane asked in astonishment.
"It doesn't look like he has his lightsaber." The Weequay says, amusement playing in his voice.
Bane smirks viciously and points to Aurra Sing, "Go, bring him back to me." Sing smirked and nodded as she followed the Weequay to where he last saw the Jedi.

Nico was running down the corridor of the Senate as he rounded the corridor to get to the main reactor, only to see Robonino walking out of the reactor room while whistling a happy tune, until he set eyes on Nico, who narrowed his eyes.
"Uh oh!" The Bounty Hunter exclaims as Nico starts walking toward him, he turned around and quickly ran into the reactor room, locking it.
Nico tried to open the door but it wouldn't budge.

The Chancellor was sitting in his office chair rubbing his temples as the large Senator of Ryloth wouldn't stop panicking, he was almost thankful to be contacted, once again, by the Bounty Hunter.
"So here's what your going to do," Bane starts, "first your going to make a pardon disk, you can give it to your friend there," Bane says as he points to Senator Taa, who looked slightly indignant and fearful.
"Who? Me?" The Senator asks.
Bane rolls his eyes and ignored him as he continued speaking, "Our ship will come and pick him up and take him to the prison, once Ziro has been released and is handed over to me, then your associates will be released, understand?" Bane asks.
The Chancellors jaw tensed, "Oh, I do, but I feel that it is my duty to warn you that you will end up paying for this outrage!" The Chancellor exclaimed with a full on glare, but that just seemed to amuse Bane.
"I can live with that."

"Come on," Nico tries communicating with the small Bounty Hunter, "Open the door, I'm not going to hurt you." Much. Little did Nico know of the Weequay Bounty Hunter that was sneaking up behind him.
"Well, well," The Bounty Hunter said, his blaster aimed at the back of Nico's head. "what have we here." Nico just turned around, and looked at the, not so dangerous, Bounty Hunter in front of him with a raised eyebrow, as quick as a flash Nico used the Force to the pull the blaster away from the Bounty Hunters hands and into his, aiming the gun at the Weequay.
The Weequay frowned and raised his hands in surrender, but then smirked, he quickly ducked as a shot came from Aurra Sing, hitting the blaster that was in Nico's hand.
"Fuck!" he exclaimed as he continued to dodge shots from the skilled marksmen, what he didn't notice was that the door behind him opened and out walked Robonino, who jumped on Nico's back and tasered him in the neck.
"Gaaaaah!" The Ghost King fell to the floor, unconscious.

Chancellor Palpatine had just finished the disk that Bane had instructed him to create and gave it to Senator Taa, "Here is the pardon disk." just after he said that the doors to Palpatines office opened revealing an IG unit, rifle aimed at the two politicians.
"Lets go." It said.
The Senator looked at Palpatine in desperation, "W-why do I have to go to the jail?" He said as the droid lead him out of the office.
"Sorry Senator," The Chancellor said sincerely, "but everyone has a job to do."

Back in the atrium Bane was looking at the cowering Senators with an amused smirk, until the doors opened, he turned around, only to see Aurra and the Weequay dragging Nico into the atrium, who had his hands tied, with Robonino ready to taser the Jedi in case he wakes. This elicited many gasps from the Senators, as they saw there only hope of getting out of this mess, being defeated.
As the two Bounty Hunters through Nico in the middle of the atrium, Bane walked up to the unconscious Jedi and kneeled next to him. "Young Di Angelo," Bane said, with accomplishment in his voice, "not so impressive without your lightsaber are you, Jedi?"
Nico just opened a single eye and spat in the face of the Bounty Hunter, who reeled back, "Robonino!" Bane shouted, the fish like creature new what Bane was getting at and quickly tased the Jedi again. Bane scowled, "Toss him in with the Senators."
The Weequay nodded and grabbed Nico's leg and dragged him toward the Senators and through him to the ground roughly. The Senators quickly converged on the down teenage Jedi and tried to make him more comfortable, Padme rolled him over, and a different Senator, Riyo Chuchi Senator of Pantora put his head on her lap.
The Senator was a blue alien species known as Pantoran, she had golden eyes and light purple hair. She looked young, maybe seventeen or eighteen, younger than Padme.
Bane rolled his eyes at the site, and lifted his wrist communicator to his mouth, "Are we on schedule?"

A speeder with an IG assassin droid and Senator Taa was headed toward the Republic detention centre when the droid got the question from ane, "Arriving at the prison now." It reported, as it landed next to the prison. Once it landed the IG unit pointed its rifle at Senator Taa and gestured for him to exit the speeder.
Clones were waiting for them on the landing pad and they all had their blasters aimed at the IG unit, the Senator walked up to the Captain and gave him the pardon disk. The Clone looked at it and nodded and walked to the console, a minute later the doors to the prison opened to reveal a very big fat purple slug like creature, Ziro the Hutt.
"Ohhh!" Ziro exclaimed as his vision came to the light, "Its so bright out here!"
One of the Clones shook his head, "Oh my god."
"Why couldn't we do this at night!" The Hutt continued, "When its cooler."
The Hutt slided its way to the back of the speeder and got in, the IG unit kicked Senator Taa in the back, sending him flying into some Clones, who caught him, the IG unit got into the speeder and started flying back to the Senate.

Bane was conversing with the other Bounty Hunters, "Go and get the, um, parting gifts." Bane ordered with a sinister smile, the rest of the Bounty Hunters smiled as well as they went into Robonino's backpack and took out several explosives, and started sticking them on the walls.
Meanwhile Bane took out his holo transmitter and put on the frequency of the Chancellor's office, "Well Mr Chancellor, thanks to your calm leadership, the crisis has passed. I got what I want, so I return your Senate and you're Senators. Enjoy then, but don't try anything until the sun has set. Understand?" Bane questions with a feral grin.
The Chancellor's jaw tightened and he reluctantly nodded as the holo transmission ended.
Bane looked around at the other Bounty Hunters, "We have to get to the landing platform," Bane says, he then turns to Robonino, "Is everything ready?"
The Fish like Bounty Hunter nodded his head, "Oh, yeah."
Bane smirked, "Turn on the field." Bane ordered Sing, Aurra nodded and clicked a button on one of the explosives, and suddenly lasers surrounded the Senators.
"If you so much as breath on one of theses lasers the whole room will blow up." Bane warns the Senators, he then opens his arms wide as if waiting for a round of applause, "Senators," He then looked at Nico, who still had his head lying on Senator Chuchi's lap, "Jedi, I bid you all a most respectful farewell." Bane said as he tipped his hat, he then turned around to the exit, "Lets go."
Line break
Four Republic gunships, filled to the brim of ARC troopers, headed toward the Senate building, two of them headed toward the landing pad, while the other two headed toward the Chancellors office.
The Chancellor was in his seat, head in hand, when suddenly the window behind him smashed open, the Chancellors eyes widen as he turns around, only to see, much to his utter relief, over a dozen ARC trooper Clones come through the window.
The Sergeant in charge bought his wrist comm up, "All clear," he then rushed to the Chancellor, "Sir, are you alright?"
"Yes, yes, I'm fine." The Chancellor says calmly.
The trooper nodded as he bought his wrist comm back up to his helmet, "Mission accomplished sir, the Chancellor is safe."
On the Senate landing platform the two gunships had landed just as the Bounty Hunters came out of the Senate, a series of weapons were pointed right at the Bounty Hunters, including the turrets of the gunships.
A Clone through a transmitter at Banes feet and the hologram of the Chancellor, flanked by two Clones, winked on.
"You were foolish to think you could get away with this Bounty Hunter," The Chancellor says calmly, "Now, lay down your arms and come quietly." The Chancellor said, though he was disturbed by the calm smile that was on Banes face.
"No chance, I am afraid it was you who has been foolish, with your Senators lives, one false move and the east wing of the Senate building goes up in smoke." The Chancellors eyes narrowed in annoyance, yet he couldn't help but think that this Bounty Hunter could be useful.
"You win Bounty Hunter." The Chancellor spits out, as the hologram winks off.
Bane looks up at the Clones who still haven't lowered their weapons, Bane lifts his arm up and has his finger hovering over a button on his wrist. "Try me, Clones."
The Clone Commander sighs in defeat and lowers his weapon, "Stand down." He ordered
Bane smirks in victory as he starts walking away from the Senate, he could see the speeder landing now, so he walked over to it, "Come on." Once they were on the speeder Bane turned to Ziro, "Alright Hutt, it doesn't look like prison had that much of an affect on you." The Bounty Hunter remarked.
The Hutt gasped dramatically, "Oh, you can't imagine the unspeakable things I've suffered. The horror. I doubt I'll ever really recover."

Nico opened his eyes groggily, only to be met with two concerned beutiful golden eyes, Nico just smiled in a daze and said, "Είσαι ένας άγγελος του Elysium?" The Senator had a confused look on her face.
"What?" She asked, Nico's eyes widen as he realises what he just asked 'Are you an angel of Elysium?' I am an idiot.
"It doesn't matter," he muttered as he got up from the floor with a groan.
"The Bounty Hunter said we should just sit here," The Senator of Rodia said, "I think we should just sit here."
Nico just rolled his eyes, "Well, that's not a very good idea."
"Well what should we do?" Senator Chuchi asks as she gets up from the floor.
Nico tries to think of a plan, but he comes up with a blank. I need my damn lightsaber. Nico thought to himself, but then he thought of something that might get them all out, something that he promised himself that he would never do, even as Reaper, ever again. But desperate times and all that.
"Okay, I've got a plan, but what I am about to do, stays with us, am I understood? I don't want people knowing about this power that I have." The Senators just nodded, fearful of their imminent demise.
Nico sighed, "Alright, I need each one of you to hold one hand each, so we make a sort of chain." The Senators did just that, albeit confused out of their minds. Nico grabs Padms Amidala's hand and said, "Alright, this may feel a bit nauseating and you will probably throw up afterward, but whatever you do, hold on tight and don't let go."
With that being said, Nico thrusted his free hand (The right one) out and concentrated, at first the Senators were confused, but then there eyes widened in both fear and wonder as shadows started enveloping there bodies. One minute everything was completely dark, with strange noises all around the Senators and it felt like there skin was peeling off, the next minute the shadows melted into a new scene, it was just outside the Senate building.
Nico fell to his knees trying to catch his breath, he hadn't done that for a very long time, the only time he did do it was when he was training with Dooku and he was knocked out for several days, Dooku had said to never do it again because of the amount of energy that it takes out of him.
The Senators were either on there knees or offloading the contents of their stomachs onto the ground.
"W-what was that?" Senator Organa questions after he vomited all over the ground.
Nico stood up and looked at each of the Senators until his eyes reached Organa, "That was necromancy Senator Organa, and I would appreciate it if none of these Senators would tell the Jedi or the Chancellor about my power." Nico says cautiously, he knew that he would instantly be kicked out of the Jedi order if they discovered that he can literally control darkness, either that or execution.
thankfully Organa nodded, grateful to the Ghost King for saving there lives, "Don't worry, I have a lot of influence on them, I can make sure that there mouths stay shut." Nico smiles gratefully at the Senator.
Perhaps not all Senators are bad.
Just as he thought that a massive explosion occurred at the east wing of the Senate building.
Nico just looks at it with a raised eyebrow, That was way to close. But then his eyes narrowed on the horizon. I'll get you yet Bounty Hunter.
And that's the seventh chapter don and dusted. To many corners and corridors for my taste on this chapter but, meh, it don't matter. Anyway I am afraid it is time for me to start revising for my GCSE's and this time its the real deal and not some mock exam, so don't expect me to update frequently, okay? Good.

Reason number 536 why I shouldn't discuss fanfics that I'm reading with my younger sister: she suggested Burger King for Nico's new nickname. I don't believe they have McDonald's in the Star Wars universe. I'll keep trying to think of a (reasonable) nickname fir Nico.
*Snorts* don't worry, I know what its like to have an irritating younger sister, hope you come up with a nickname for him soon. (Its surprisingly hard to come up with a none demigod related nickname for Nico.)

Will "Shade" work? Because his force is black and seems like shadow, but calling him shadow would just be weird. Or maybe Negotiator. Because his negotiations hardly fails, like when he negotiates with the rebels. They listen to him.
Shade eh? hmmm, maybe. As for your second choice, the nickname negotiator already belongs to Obi-Wan.
