5:15 am

Soaking in the tub Kagome was biting her tongue, trying to hold the tears that threatened to leave her eyes. A single tear slid down from her warm, butterscotch eyes, followed by another one, and another one, until soon, a steady stream of salty tears flowed its way down her cheeks.

I'm 17! I haven't even finished high school yet what was I thinking?!

Releasing the sadness while not making a sound her body quivered with emotion as she thought about this upcoming school year. Sliding to the bottom of the tub to try to stop crying, she thought about what her mother reaction would be.

Mom already paid my tuition and that was a lot of money. How can I possibly tell her that I got pregnant over the summer? She's going to be so disappointed in me.

After coming back up for air and deciding that she spent enough time feeling sorry for herself she finished her bath.

Wrapped in only a towel Kagome went back into her bedroom. Sitting down at her vanity she picked up a brush and began to brush her hair. Brushing her damp raven locks Kagome thought about how to tell Inuyasha or even if she should.

I know this baby is Inuyasha and he has the right to know but…I can't face him! Slamming thebrush down onto the vanity Kagome jumped up and ran to the bathroom only to vomit once again. Sitting back in the same spot she was in an hour ago Kagome felt empty. She couldn't have cried even if she wanted to. She hadn't experienced this feeling before. The sadness was still there, but not raw anymore now it was an empty unhappiness, the kind she didn't think would easily lift.

Dammit Inuyasha!

I wish I could share this with you, but it is best that I keep our child away from you as I believed you said to me that day.

Flashback June6

Sitting on her bed talking to Sango on her cellphone Kagome was laughing at her best friend about her encounter with Miroku at the party last weekend.

"I'm serious Kagome he walked right up to me and asked if I believed in love at first sight, or should he walk by again?"

Laughing even harder now I fell back on the bed I had tears forming in my eyes.

"Seriously what a moron."

"Sango come on now that wasn't as bad as it could have been."

"I suppose you're right considering his lecherous ways, but Kagome you would think that after all the girls he's slept with that he would have said something amazing to knock my panties off."

Rolling over on her stomach Kagome blew her bangs out her facing thinking of about her own night at the party with a certain sliver haired demon.

"HELLO earth to Kagome!"

"O..yea Sango I'm still here sorry blank out for a sec."

"Okay what has you so spaced out….could it be a certain half-demon?"

Sitting up now that Sango brought up a certain person Kagome didn't want to talk about had her attention.

"What no I wasn't even..why would you even think that?"

"Don't try and play dumb with me. I saw the two of you last night."

Busted! Why must Sango take notice to everything? You would think that a party that large with Miroku in her face that she would have been a little busy to take notice of me.

"Yea just talking that's all."

"Yea right don't try that with me. One minute you guys are talking and the next you've disappeared on me."

Feeling my heart pounding in my chest as I tried to think of something to say when my phone beeped notifying me of another call coming through. Looking at the caller name on the screen my heart if possible started pounding faster.

"Hey got to go sorry Sango call you later."

"Hey wait a sec-"

"Hey Inuyasha what's up?"

"Hey umm can we talk Kagome".

"Yea what do you want?"

"Well I was hoping I could come by and talk. It's kind of important."

"Yea sure when do you want to meet?"

"Today possibly?"

"Is now okay?"

"Yea I will be over in a minute."

"Inuyasha is everything ok?"

"Talk to you when I get there."

Okay now what is going on with him? I mean he hasn't called me since the party. We exchanged numbers, but I was too scared to call.

Lost in her thoughts Kagome was a littles startled when her little brother, Souta, barged in.

"Yo Kagome a guy at the door named Inuyasha is asking for you."

"Souta!" What did I say about barging in here without knocking?"

"Sorry but listen how'd you know Inuyasha in the first place? I hear he is the best swordsman at Sengoku High. Super popular and dating the hottest girl at your school. Now what was her name? He scratched his head, trying to think of her name.

Why does he have to bring her up or the fact that Inuyasha dating that girl!?

"What was her name I know I know it ….Kikyou that's it!"

"Well it's none of your business so go away and stop asking me questions that are none of your business!"

"Well you don't have to bite my head off just because Inuyasha dating her and not you!"

"I don't care who he is dating, just get out of my room!"

"Whatever Kagome, It's all over your face by the way."

Damn him coming into my room pissing me off when I don't need to be bothered with this. Let me go down and see what Inuyasha wants to talk about.

Dread was all I was feeling as I came downstairs wearing my favorite pair of red skinny jeans, a black tank top, and a pair of sliver flats with my hair in a high ponytail. I opened the door to see Inuyasha standing there looking sexy as the breeze was playing with his hair. Wearing a red collared shirt, black cargo pants, and white shoes I stood in a trance starting up into those amber eyes of his.

Seeing Kagome standing in the door way Inuyasha was taken away at how beautiful she really is. Man oh man was she a knock out or what. Damn why does she have to look so good.

"Kagome, hey are you ok?"

Feeling her face turn red from embarrassment she shook her head to clear the fog over her brain.

"O, Inuyasha hey sorry about that forgot where I was for a minute."

Yea right she was totally staring at me like she still wants me.

"It's okay Kagome I know I caught you off guard just calling you out of the blue like that and asking to stop by."

"No its okay I figured you would want to talk to me about that nig ... something." Damn it why did I have to bring that up.

Smirking down at her he could only roll his eyes to hold back his laughter so she wouldn't guess he caught what she almost said.

"Well look I came over to talk about what happen that night, but let's go over by the Goshinboku so we can have some privacy."

"Okay." I knew this conversation would happen.

Inuyasha thinking about how easy this was going to be walked over by the Goshinboku coming to a stop right in front of the tree of ages turned so he was facing Kagome.

"Okay this should be far enough." Okay just give it to her straight.

"Listen that night at Miroku's party when we had sex it was a great in all, but it was a mistake. Things went a little too far between us that night. So just forget about what happen and let bygones be bygones." Seeing Kagome face start to turn red I knew that things were about to go south very fast.

"Um Kagome are you okay?"

Suddenly Kagome whole demeanor changed she had tears collected in the bottom of her eyes.

"WHAT THE HELL DO YOU MEAN IT WAS A MISTAKE!" Getting up in Inuyasha face I knew he was completely shocked by my reaction but I didn't care this jerk needed to be told off.

She was the one who got what she wanted so why is she the one upset. "Look why are you yelling at me? I gave you what you wanted. I know this must suck for you thinking that I would go out with you so you can become popular with your friends but not going happen on my account."

Hearing his cold hearted accusation made the miko take a few steps back. "You…I can't believe… how dare you."

Staring at her in complete shock from seeing the hurt in her eyes and hearing the pain in her voice Inuyasha started to feel bad.

"Well maybe that's not the reason but look I don't care what the reason is I just came over to tell you nothing is going happen between us. So just forget about that night and let's go back to the way things were."

Sighing while looking at her he couldn't finish what he was going to say. Turning away from her he quietly said he was sorry and started to walk away until he felt her hand on his shoulder. Keeping his back to her so he wouldn't see her face he listened as she started to speak to him.

"Inuyasha I thought we were more than ...with the way you kept saying this is the most fun you had in a long time. I never thought it would lead to…with you." Looking up from the ground she realized he still had his back facing her.

This got her angry and she lost control of her temper and forced him to face her and she slapped him across the face.

"FINE INUYASHA! I HOPE YOU'RE HAPPY!"

He just stood there while he saw all her pain and hurt emotions play out in her eyes right in front of him. Then he realized she was waiting on him to say something.

"Kagome sorry if I hurt your feelings but nothing is going to change my mind no matter what you say just forget everything and get back to your life without me in it."

Inuyasha turned around and left to walk down the shrine steps leaving as he shattered Kagome heart.

Okay finishing with this hope it's better than before.
