AUTHOR'S NOTE: I would like to start off this glorious season of giving with a note saying that everything is school's fault and I hate it. That being said, in all seriousness, I haven't been able to update as frequently as I would like because school assigns menial work that whittles away time at best. One of things that I previously prided myself on was my ability to constantly update at a pace quicker than most authors, but I haven't been able to uphold that. For that, I say I am sorry, faithful reader. I am sorry, giant clam. I am sorry, Bikini Bottom.
Moving on, this is all for you guys. Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, etc. Remember to read, review, and most importantly, enjoy!
"You pathetic excuse for a demon… you betrayed us… but you can't turn back…"
"Oh for the love of Nayru, shut your filthy mouth!"
Ghirahim and the creature wrestled through the air, plummeting towards the lake below. Ghirahim threw a punch, temporarily blinding the demon chief. It screeched in pain as Ghirahim felt the cool water splash over him and the creature. They had touched down in Lake Floria, yet not all was right.
"Well… if you're not willing to fight for us… I know someone would be delighted to do so on your part."
"What?"
"I want you… inside of me."
"Oh no! I didn't sign up for this type of fan fiction!"
The gurgled screams of Ghirahim rang out from the lakebed as he was absorbed into the fiendish demon.
"Groose… why didn't… we just dive… off the cliff?" Link panted, collapsing on the ground.
"Because, it gave us lots of time to let plot happen! And by that, I mean that the thing Ghirahim was doing is probably done by now, so we can just go get the Triforce piece."
"But I thought… you were… supposed to be… the hero." Link sarcastically retorted.
"I love my job. I am the best hero ever." Groose said to himself, ignoring Link. "I'm gonna go get that Triforce piece now, I'll be right-" Groose was interrupted by a large explosion of water. A wave the size of Groose's ego rushed towards the shore, slamming down on Groose. As the water rapidly receded back to the lake, Groose stood up on the ground. He looked up, now drenched in water. Ghirahim was floating in midair.
"Well… that's new." Groose called out to Ghirahim, "Hey. Are you quite finished?"
"No… but you are." Ghirahim opened his eyes to reveal two bright, yellow ones shining down. His skin turned sickly shade of black, and had several eyes randomly placed. Tentacles stretched from his back, which also had eyes.
"Oh no, it's 'attack of the stereotypical Zelda boss', whatever shall I do? Let me guess, what's your weakness? Could it be your feet? Maybe your ears?"
"Silence." The demon raised a tentacle, and bitch slapped Groose into the water.
"Oh you did not just do that." Groose said, picking himself up yet again. He was drenched down to his pompadour, but he was not going to let that slide. When the demon chief brought one of his tentacles around again, Groose grabbed it. Taking it with both hands, he pulled the monster, a baffling tug of war ensuing.
Groose, eventually getting the better hand in the situation, gripped the tentacle and swung hard. Ghirahim's possessed body was sent flying into the wall of the cliff, smashing into it. The body peeled away like a sticker, leaving black residue all over the cliff wall.
"Okay, fine asshole, have it your way." The demon exited Ghirahim's body, letting it float in the water. The demon dove into the water, Groose barely catching a glimpse of it. It had a lot of eyes, and that was all Groose needed to know. The water around him started to darken, becoming polluted with a thick black smoke. Suddenly, Groose felt a tentacle wrap around his leg. He was pulled under, bubbles of air gurgling to the surface.
Groose could feel his lungs beginning to collapse as he was dragged down further and further. Kicking and jerking as hard as he could, he loosened the demon's grip and rocketed to the surface. A breath of fresh air awaited him, as did another slimy tentacle ready to pull him under. Before it could wrap around him, however, something peculiar happened. The water around him began to ripple as a confused Groose looked to the sky.
"S…Santa?"
Link looked up from the shore in surprise. "Who the hell are you?"
"Ho ho ho!" the fat man screamed. "Groose! Have this!"
"What is it?"
"A gift!"
Santa threw a package down at Groose, which was speared on his pompadour. A white powder began to pour out of the box.
"Thank you Santa!"
"Ho ho ho, Merry Christmas!"
As Santa flew off, Link thought to himself, "Wow, the viewers of the future are going to be very confused."
Groose watched as the water around him began to turn a deep red. The monster sprang up from the depths of the lake, screaming in pain. "My eyes! They burn! I hate Kool-Aid!"
Groose took his opportunity and swam over to the demon. Taking him by the tentacles, he rammed his shoulder into the demon chief, slamming him into a wall. "Oh yeah!" he screamed, crushing the demon into the side of the cliff. He disintegrated against the wall, his eyes popping like balloons.
As Groose finished beating this monster, a dazed and red Ghirahim burst up from the depths of the lake. He held a shiny golden fragment in his hands.
"Ghirahim! Where have you been?" Groose asked.
"Getting the Triforce fragment at the bottom of the lake."
"Why did that thing attack you? He seems really mean."
"Uh… he's just jealous… of my fabulousness."
"Oh, okay!" Groose was satisfied with the answer. Removing the box of Kool-Aid from his pompadour, Groose looked up to see an amazing sight. Hundreds of Kikwis had arrived at the scene, standing atop the cliffs overlooking the lake.
Although their voices were faint, Groose could clearly hear a Kikwi scream with delight. "It's a miracle!" The entire population of Kikwis proceeded to jump off the cliff and into the giant pool of Kool-Aid.
"Well… that happened." Link said, pulling himself up.
"Oh, and thanks for helping." Groose said, walking over and patting Link on the back. "Well, I guess that concludes this segment. If only we had Tiny Cheeb break his legs or something, then it would be a real Holiday spectacular."
Ghirahim joined the two, holding the piece of the Triforce. "Groose, we're one eighth of the way done. And I've already located our next piece."
