She sighed. She was never gonna get her Puddin' now. He was away, gone who knows where – probably hunting Batman - and she was stuck here, in this poky little cell. What was she gonna do? He was incognito, she was stuck here. Oh, what was she gonna do?

"I know!" she cried out to herself, face lit up by her eagerness. "If I break myself out, I can find my Puddin' and he'll have to forgive me!" it made so much sense, he would forget what she'd done, and they could live happily ever after ...

Only one problem. How was she gonna break out?

Every Wednesday Harley had a psychiatrist appointment. That meant time out of her cell, time she could use to her advantage.

10 o'clock passed. 11 o'clock passed. Half an hour to go now… 11:30 passed, but no one came to collect her. 12 o'clock passed and she rattled the bars and called out.

"Hey!" Her shrill voice penetrated the silence of the Asylum. "Where's my Doctor?" she yelled again, in her sing-song voice, but there were notes of anger behind it.

A guard was walking down the corridor and he came up to the bars. "Shut up, Blondie." He snapped back. He was standing close, too close, and Harleys arms lashed out and grabbed his shirt, pulling him within millimetres of her body, and crushing him against the bars, choking him…

"I. Want. My. – Puddin'!?" She let go of the guard, who stumbled back, massaging his throat. "Puddin'! What'cha doing here? I was gonna bust out, I'm sorry! Puddin?" her pleading went unanswered as a man clad in orange overalls was walked down the corridor in cuffs and chains. His pale face loomed up in the darkness, but the scars and dark eyes were still just as prominent and noticeable in the dark as they would have been in bright daylight. His dark green hair contrasted with the orange clothing, and a ghastly smile stretched across his wide, red mouth.

"Come to play?" he hissed. "Want backsies now Batboy cast you aside?" His sneer seemed to leer out of the darkness, straight into her soul.

"Puddin'? No, please! I didn't mean to, I-" Her white arms stretched out as far as they could go, but she could not reach him. If only they were just a little longer.

Joker pulled away from the two guards, ignoring the shouts from behind, and almost, almost, ran to Harley.

"My Puddin'! My Puddin'!" She smiled lovingly at him and reached out once more, not seeing the anger and rage behind the fake smile. He grabbed her hand and she clasped it tightly, but then he twisted it the wrong way and into the bars, watching as she cried out.

"You thought you could get away from me?" he sneered, as he raised the cuffs and smashed them through the bars and onto her cheek. As Harley fell to the floor, tears streaming, the guards finally pounced on Joker and dragged him away, but Harley could still hear his screams. "No one gets away from the Joker! You are MINE and you will regret what you did!"

"My Puddin'…" she stared into the darkness where he had just been, as everything quietened down and she collapsed, crying.
