I stood there on some metal platform that surrounded the outer edge of the water station, the rain pouring down heavily allowing it to soak through my fur. Looking at me concerned Crunch put his head on my left shoulder.
Babe you ok? You look like you have loads on your mind right now. I just turned and looked at him.
Yeah I m ok just many things have happened all at once. Crunch pilled me into a hug.
You know what babe after this is done whatever if it is successful or not we ll talk about it when we get back ok? I closed my eyes thinking for 5 seconds before looking up at him and nodding while being in the wet embrace of my lover.
Meanwhile back up on the station Kai was walking around Drake s chamber looking for something while Drake just floated there watching.
What are you looking for exactly? Kai threw test papers around growling clearly not being able to find what he was looking for.
Well you would have thought Cortex would have left some important papers and things here Punching a screen smashing it in frustration he turned around and finally noticed something different about Drake. Erm when did you grow...another leg back? Drake just waves his re-grown right leg about.
Hmm not sure it just grew back yesterday, I guess being a DemonFox helps. Kai just shrugged and started pressing buttons at random. After pressing a 5th button the whole station started to shake and rattle, the noise of screeching metal was heard throughout the whole station causing quite a few of its inhabitants to cover their ears.
Cortex was wondering what was going on before the racket stopped suddenly before a door that was sealed shut opened. The button Kai had pressed had connected Drake s chamber back with the rest of the station, a voice spoke over the intercom.
Research lab 5 re-connection complete. Kai looked at Drake.
Well that saves me time than trashing Tiger s room Drake folded his arms and grinned.
That s a shame would be fun trashing my brother s room guess I could do that myself once I m fully healed. Kai nodded as the small yellow man walked in looking around his arms behind his back.
Well...I did seem to forget this place he ran his finger over a surface covering it in dust before turning around and walked up to Drake s tank. It s great to see your well Dark Tiger or should I start calling you by your real name hmm Drake? Drake put his hands on the glass leaning forward.
Indeed doctor I am well if you just ignore the fact you forgot about me for 5 years and this lab was in sealed lockdown, yes that s perfectly fine. Kai just stood there and shrugged as those two just talked to each other, walking out of the room via the new passageway. Stepping out of the door Kai realised the sealed door was connected to the design lab where cortex spends his time making blueprints for mainly failed creations. Looking over the table Kai noticed a big blueprint that was empty and grinned.
I don t mind if I do Cortex Kai grabbed a pen and a ruler and started designing something
Whatever power the water mask had he was making the weather like a typical summer day in the UK, rain rain and more bloody rain. I was now standing on the flat roof of the water filter station I had also been handed an umbrella even though I was already soaking wet.
Crunch is you sure this umbrella is necessary? As well I m already soaking wet Crunch reappeared next to me in a pile of bubbles.
Yes it is, we don t want you to catch a cold now do we? I nodded and was about to say something when there was a flash of light coming from the metal platform just a bit away from the station. Once the flash had settled I knew who it was and what was going to happen, standing there was Crash and Aku Aku. Hmm seems the pipsqueak is here. Crunch transported to a platform about 4 good jumps away from Crash, along side him was Wa Wa So you re back for round to then eh? Aku Aku floated in front of Crash.
Need I remind you that we defeated you last time and we intend to do that again Wa Wa floated through Crunch and out of his chest.
You think you small grunts could win against a sergeant like me YOU HAVE TO BE JOKING! I rubbed my left ear, for it to be raining hard you could easily hear Wa Wa s army sergeant style voice from miles away. Watching, holding the umbrella with one of my tails waiting for the water battle to begin.
Crash was the first to make a move by leaping from his platform onto one of the floating square barrels or such. Crunch just grinned.
Guess I should cut you down little frog. Crunch threw a blue water beam towards Crash of who jumped over it getting another step closer to Crunch. Seeing this Crunch threw another blue beam at him of which crash jumped over it again and as soon as he landed on the middle platform he leaped towards Crunch. Even before Crunch got a chance to defended himself, Crash did his spin attack smacking Crunch in the chest knocking him to the ground of which as soon as he hit it he splatted into millions of water droplets and bubbles.
I just stood there watching my boyfriend basically explode into droplets.
Well that was a short battle looking at Crash s face he looked pleased that the battle was over, sensing something I looked over to my left towards another large platform noticing the water move up the sides and towards the middle, I just grinned. I wouldn t celebrate just yet The water came together and formed Crunch again, he rubbed his head looking pissed.
That hurt you little pest! Crash looked over and got ready to fight again. Crunch yet again threw a blue wave at the jumping orange fur ball, once crash landed down crunch did something different, he pulled his arm upwards in his hand it glowed a green colour before doing an over arm throw releasing a green wave. Crash got himself ready to jump over it but stopping himself before he could noticing that Crunch had expected him to jump and created a green wave that was higher, Crash crouched easily letting it fly over him before making another jump towards Crunch. Crunch was growling at this point starting to lose him temper.
Jump jump jump that s all your bloody doing and it s starting to piss me off! he threw another blue wave, what Crash did next was different and I knew it would anger the big bandicoot more as the wave was coming Crash got his tip toes and did a ballet leap over it landing perfectly on the platform just before Crunch. Charging up for another green attach, crash used this to his advantage and got in front of Crunch before swiping his legs forcing Crunch s legs from under him causing the big bandicoot to fall back and splash on the floor in another puddle.
Crash noticed there was another large platform to his left realising the battle wasn t over yet. I walked t the side where the final part of the battle was going to be, noticing some bubbles moving towards the last platform. I sneezed nearly dropping the umbrella.
Great I knew staying here was a bad idea I m going catch a cold I mumbled to myself. The rain was cold I was soaking wet and cold, little did I know it was getting colder. The rain was hitting the metal roof hard making it impossible for me to hear the footsteps behind me. The rain had formed a puddle which was now freezing to where each of the feet was being placed. An evil fanged grin appeared on the face of the person. I was none the wiser until I heard Crash yelling and shouting non understandable words, looking at him he was pointing behind me, I pulled a confused face just as I got really cold. Turning around I saw nothing just the wet roof and rain.
Hey babe are you ok you look pale? My ears twitched after hearing Crunch s voice looking back at them both I realised that the battle had been paused because of what just happened.
Yeah I m ok From the little knowledge of Crunch and me, I actually noticed another platform so in my mind I corrected myself however the battle was about to be ended faster than expected, Crash had been jumping towards Crunch his right fist was glowing a slight purple colour. By the time Crunch noticed Crash was standing in front of him and punched through his chest and hitting Wa Wa right in the middle.
Wha! Purple crystal energy you little grunt sneaked attack on ME! Wa Wa army style voice was heard before it looked like he froze to ice before shattering in many little parts disappearing.
Oh fuck was the last thing Crunch said before melting away, the water running off and into the surrounding water. Aku Aku floated around a bit to check for any energy from the water mask. Once he confirmed the mask was once again sealed away he and Crash vanished in a light.
Looking around I growled slightly.
Well this is just fucking great I m left here all alone in the fucking rain wet and cold and two I m fucking sure part of that battle was missing! Turning around I walked off the roof and back to my ship before flying off back to the station hoping Crunch would have reappeared there.
Meanwhile back at the water station the rain had become snow and the water on the roof was frozen.
Impressive, Crash defeated Wa Wa faster than expected such a pity that little coot spotted me ruining my fun The green and blue eyed bandicoot just grinned before jumping to the last platform that was unused during the battle causing the surrounding water to become ice. Hmm well well why is this here? Kai looked at something sparkling blue poking out of the ice near him. Grinning he picked it up before laughing and disappearing in a cloud of snow.
