"Hello, Cullens." Mike said. Disdain clear in his voice. We nodded stiffly.

"One last chance Bella, you can either be with me or you can lose everyone you love." He said. I scoffed.

"That one's easy, I choose the Cullens." I said. Then he attacked. He went towards Edward first but Edward was quicker and dodged out of the way, sending Mike straight towards Emmett who grabbed his head and pulled it off. Carlisle quickly lit a fire and we tossed Mike's body into it. I stood there watching his body burn. Edward came up behind me and put his hand on my shoulder.

"What's wrong, love?" He asked me. I leaned into his side before answering.

"I know that he attacked us, but he was my friend all those years ago and in a way, I still cared for him." I answered. Edward nodded in understanding before leading me towards the house.

"Let's go back inside, love. I believe that Alice still wants to take you shopping for maternity clothes." He said.

"Alice, that can wait until tomorrow." I called.

"Fine." She answered. I smiled.

"Edward, I have a question for you. Mike said that he saw you a few years ago. What did he mean by that?" Edward shook his head.

"I have no idea. I haven't seen him since that last day in school. Maybe he saw me but decided not to engage." He answered. I nodded in acceptance, I knew he was telling the truth. We were walking back towards the house in silence when I thought of something.

"Edward, did you call Eleazar yet?" I asked him. He nodded.

"Yes, he told me that the child is immortal and that it will grow. He said the child's growth was similar to the pregnancy. The child will be full grown in about nine years instead of eighteen." He explained. I nodded. That made sense. Vampires do things quickly. Why not pregnancies and growth. We arrived back at the house to see Emmett and Charlie playing a sports game on the television.

"Where is everyone else?" I asked them. Charlie paused the game before answering ignoring Emmett's protests.

"Around. Are you okay Bells?" He asked. He probably remembered Mike Newton as he had known the family pretty well. I nodded.

"Dad, are you excited to be a grandfather?" I asked him. He nodded.

"I never thought it would happen, but I'm glad it did." He told us. The next few weeks of my pregnancy flew by and soon it looked like I was about six months pregnant even though I was only three. We had decided we needed to leave Forks since my fast pregnancy would be pretty suspicious. Luckily the Cullens had a house in Alaska that we could go to. The day we were packing to leave was the day Edward had proposed to me and I had said yes. We were planning on getting married once the babies were born. Yup. Babies as in two. One day while Edward and I were cuddling he had heard two heartbeats coming from my stomach. Since we didn't know the genders we'd be having we mostly bought gender neutral clothes and set up a gender neutral nursery. Now all we had to do was wait.
