Kay so this is a crap chapter really. there wasnt much i could do to help it survive its 'Bad writer cancer huge tumor yes you will die okay bye now."
Just realized I posted the same Chapter twice *face palm* Sorry so I deleted it, I'm Gonna Break your Heart with this Chapter- Only a Little don't worry- But it takes place after School. In this Chapter Clary And Jace are walking(Or running) home. in the deleted Chapter they got each other's number And Isabelle's. so on with the Fic!
"JACE HERONDALE! DONT YOU DARE- I WARNED YOU!" Clary ran after Jace, breathlessly screaming. She was doing her best to keep up with him but... Goddamn he had long legs. The perils of being short better yet short-legged.
Jace Laughed, his smile making his Gold eyes glimmer. "I don't remember you warning me not to do run away with your phone. Yet I do remember something about you telling me not to steal it... Surely they can't be the same!" Jace put on an extra burst of speed, circling her and tauntingly holding out her phone just at her arms reach then yanking it back before she had a chance to grab it.
As you could probably guess by now, Jace had stolen her phone. She had called her mom to let her now that she was coming home a bit later from school, insisting that she was watching a movie with Simon. It was only a half lie, she was watching a movie. Just not with Simon. With Jace.
At that point, Jace was absent mindedly fiddling with a long piece of metal he had found hidden in the grass. He seemed to be drawing something... Any who, as she was speaking to her mother, Jace had an idea.
"PASS THE WEED CLARY!" He yelled, making Clary stumble with her phone, almost dropping it in the dirt. He changed his tone of voice and yelled in an embarrassed squeak, "Put your shirt on Clary!" On the other end of the line Jocelyn let out a small laugh,
"Tell Simon he can't fool me with his tough guy impersonations."
Clary had given a small sigh of relief. Her mother thought Jace was Simon. But Jace still had other ideas, he plucked her phone out of her hands and started running. And this, my friends is where our story begins.
Clary swore under Her breath, "Jace Give me back my phone! Please Jace! Can you at least hang up!"
He looked over his shoulder at Clary and smirked, "Everybody better march in time. 'Cause the fact the we don't care why. Youve been saying could a should would a."
Clary slowed down. "Jace... Um what did you just say- JACE WATCH OUT!"
Jace had been running, and they had started to go down a hill. THis hill, Clary knew very well. It was a bumpy, Rocky hill. She had tripped many a times running down this hill, even when she was looking in front of her. Unlike Jace, who was looking behind him at Clary. In the end, even with all of his amazing sarcastic Jaceness. He fell.
Oh and what a fall it was. It was the kind of fall that even the steadiest people had not seen coming. Clary wished she had her camera so she could video-tape this spectacular event that anyone and every one of all ages should know about.
Clary ran over to him, stifling a laugh, her hand covering her mouth. It looked like it had hurt a lot but it was so funny! she turned him onto his back so he could face her. She plopped down on his stomach and planted her hands on his chest and looked into his eyes. "Jace? You okay? That looked like it hurt a lot." Clary could feel his heartbeat underneath her hand, strong and steady, Breakable yet so strong.
Jace to Her surprise, broke into laughter. His strong arms came around her, his left hand still holding her phone. Clary realized what an awkward position she was in and tried to get up and move but His arms stayed strong around her. "Was it hilarious?"
"Was what hilarious?" She blushed as Jace brought his hand up, reaching for a gingery curl of hair.
"My epic fall. The fall of the year. You know. That one"
She smiled. "To answer you question, yes it was quite hilarious," She said " But I'm taking my phone back now." She reached to take the phone from him.
"Nope," Jace smiled back Grabbing her wrist he pushed Her to the other side of hill. So this Time she was under him.
"Jace!" Clary screeched, fidgeting under his strong grip.
"Clary!" He mimicked, letting go of her, about to get up.
She wasnt going to let him get away that easy. Not after what he just put he through. Clary reached up and pushed at his side, trying to get him off her. But she realized to late that Jace had the advantage. He could grab her and make her go down the hill with him.
That was exactly what he did, although he managed making more graceful then what it had looked like in her head.
Clary realized with a jolt that Jace didn't let go of her. He held his arms around her as they rolled, like she was in a cage. Him protecting her. Dizzy, happy thoughts erupted into her mind and she found herself thinking.
Were rolling down a hill together. How romantic!
But when they reached the bottom of the hill they found something that wasnt romantic. At all. In no way possible. Not in a thousand, million years, could this be romantic.
She was waiting at the bottom of the hill. Jace and Clary stopped at her feet. She looked up and saw an extremely pretty girl staring down at them. She looked to Jace and her Gold Green eyes filled with tears.
"Who are you?" Clary mumbled to her after getting up briskly.
"Rebbeca"She Said in small, sweet voice. "Jace's Girlfriend"
"Oh"
