I want to take a quick moment to thank everyone that has helped me with make this fic possible. Also, I want to make a quick note that the third of January will make one year since I joined the fanfiction community with my fic /strongstrongemspan style="max-height: 999999px; text-decoration: underline;"Crossback/span/em/strongstrong and began giving you stories your hearts will cherish forever. p style="max-height: 999999px;"Tristan slowly opened his eyes, becoming aware of the world around him again. He looked around and saw that he was back in his living room, lying on the couch, with an Xbox controller in his hand, which he lifted and saw that it was a hand once again. "Mm… what a weird dream."/p
p style="max-height: 999999px;""Are you okay, son?" a voice asked from his kitchen./p
p style="max-height: 999999px;""Yeah… yeah, I'm-" His head shot up when he recognized the voice. "Joseph?"/p
p style="max-height: 999999px;""Last time I checked." The older man laughed. "Oh, come on. The mirror couldn't have taken too much of a toll on you, could it? I mean, for the other two, I could believe, but not you."/p
p style="max-height: 999999px;""Other two?" He turned his head to the left and right and noticed two other people in his living room, sitting on his couch. One was a boy with gray hair that hung over his left eye, one of two red eyes. He was sturdily built for events like track and field, but otherwise, clothed in a black shirt and pants, looked like a normal person./p
p style="max-height: 999999px;"The other was a girl with blue hair and similar red eyes. She was of a scrawny build, wearing a large blue sweater and blue jeans. She was curled in a small ball, hugging herself tightly./p
p style="max-height: 999999px;"Tristan looked at the three of them before hitting his head with the Xbox controller. "So… not a dream then?"/p
p style="max-height: 999999px;"Joseph laughed at this. "Tristan, you do bring an amusement to any situation." Then, he coughed into his arm and looked up with a serious expression. "But that's beside the point. We are here to stop Sombra from further corrupting my son."/p
p style="max-height: 999999px;""Paul?" Tristan shook his head violently, and then beat his head some more. Then jumped up, (almost) did a backflip, got off his face, and struck a cliché ninja pose. "I'm ready for action, Joseph!"/p
p style="max-height: 999999px;""Excellent, but we need to find someone before we do anything else."/p
p style="max-height: 999999px;"The girl, Fleet Fire, looked at him in confusion. "What do you mean? Who do we need to find?"/p
p style="max-height: 999999px;""I have a brother that lives on this planet whose Earth name is Alex Macroy. His actual name is… well, that's not really important right now. Anyway, we need to hunt him down and enlist his services to our cause."/p
p style="max-height: 999999px;"Aerial Winds crossed his arms and sat back against the back of the couch. "Why do we need to find him? Don't we have enough in our favor to take on Sombra now?"/p
p style="max-height: 999999px;""Sombra is the least of our problems. We need someone who is skilled in the Dark Magic that will have some connection on our side."/p
p style="max-height: 999999px;""Sometimes… it doesn't take a master of magic." Everyone stopped talking as a golden haired, blue eyed girl walked around the corner and into the room./p
p style="max-height: 999999px;"Tristan jumped up and ran over to her. "Fluttershy? Is that you?"/p
p style="max-height: 999999px;"She gave a very small smile to him. "Hello, Tristan."/p
p style="max-height: 999999px;""What are you doing here? I thought you stayed in Equestria."/p
p style="max-height: 999999px;"She stopped smiling and looked back at the ground. "Like I said, it doesn't take a master of magic to fight. But it's mostly my fault that Paul is with Sombra now. He used me to use him." Tears began to fall down her cheeks, making Tristan almost impulsively wrap his arms around her./p
p style="max-height: 999999px;"Aerial stood up after this was said. "Besides, the last person or pony that mastered the Dark Magic that had a connection to our side is the whole reason that we are having this conversation."/p
p style="max-height: 999999px;""Wait a minute." Tristan looked on the back of the couch and found his television remote./p
p style="max-height: 999999px;"Flicking on the television to the news, the following was said by the news anchor. "We have an important news bulletin. Last night, the Smithsonian Air Space Museum was broken into by a team of pyromaniacs. Here is some footage caught by a person staying in the hotel just outside the whole Smithsonian."/p
p style="max-height: 999999px;"A shaky cellphone clip began, showing policemen firing at a small group of people. Suddenly, a large burst of bright orange enclosed the whole of the area, blocking out anything that was within the area. After a good five minutes, the orange ball collapsed, showing only the small group of men left. There was a flash of light, and then they were gone./p
p style="max-height: 999999px;""We are still trying to make out what this could possibly mean. Scientists have speculated that there has indeed been a massive surge of heat in the location of the ball of light. Though, from what they have gathered, there is no possible way for anyone to have survived the surge, let alone the buildings in the vicinity of it."/p
p style="max-height: 999999px;""You know… I'm not sure if I should be ashamed or proud at this point." Everyone looked around the room before all eyes fell on a newer member of the team. He wore a hooded gray sweatshirt, with the hood drawn low over his face. His pants were a pair of blue jeans. Over his should, he had slung a bow and quiver of handmade arrows. And when he smiled at everyone in the room, he looked right at Tristan and asked, "Don't you recognize me?"/p
p style="max-height: 999999px;"Tilting his head, Tristan though for a moment. "Chaos Blade?"/p
p style="max-height: 999999px;""I prefer Walker in this state, if it isn't too much trouble. But that's a small thing for another time. I hear that we are supposed to be looking for someone?"/p
p style="max-height: 999999px;"OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO/p
p style="max-height: 999999px;"Paul stood at the edge of the cliff overlooking the sea at his grandfather's ruin castle. He held the Moses Amulet close to his chest, as if someone or something was going to take it. "Marshal, how does it feel, knowing that the boy you hated has become more powerful than you can ever imagine?"/p
p style="max-height: 999999px;"The pendant that contained Marshal's heart began to glow. Then, a glowing projection of its owner hovered before Paul faintly. "Why do you stay with him?"/p
p style="max-height: 999999px;""He is my grandfather. He respects me. Unlike you."/p
p style="max-height: 999999px;""You were different then. Had you always been like this, I would have wished you were my real son, and not some free loader from my wife's previous marriage."/p
p style="max-height: 999999px;""But you couldn't see that potential like Grandfather could. You always called me too soft to do anything. And now, I'm killing without mercy. Is that hard enough for you? Do I pass the test?"/p
p style="max-height: 999999px;""There was never a test. I just wanted you to choose my path and to take it further than I ever could. But that was then. I never would have thought that you were my master's grandson. Had I known that… I would have treated you much differently."/p
p style="max-height: 999999px;"Paul looked down and laughed. "You know something, Marshal? You lie more now than you ever did when you were alive. I guess you should thank me for that as well."/p
p style="max-height: 999999px;""Your powers… they are unlike anything I could ever have dreamed for. I couldn't be more proud of you."/p
p style="max-height: 999999px;""Now that I have earned that pride."/p
p style="max-height: 999999px;"The image of his host father faded and was drawn back to the heart. But Paul kept looking out to see, as if something there would give him a piece of knowledge. Then, he had the strangest feeling that something was watching him. Not the feeling his grandfather gave him. No, this was much different./p
p style="max-height: 999999px;"Then, he recognized it, and laughed. "I know you're there, Luna. Do you fear what I have become? Are you scared of the death I will bring upon your world. Though I suppose that it is really you I should thank for showing me this power. You and that Mirror of Verity. You are responsible for all of this. Thank you."/p
p style="max-height: 999999px;"strongChapter Complete. There you go! One more chapter up and kicking. Once again, thank you all for reading and review, and special thanks to everyone who has given me a hand thus far with story. I don't know if this is drawing to a close or not, but we shall see. So, RR AND ADIOS, AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!/strong/p
