**So I decided to revive this story since I'm back into Yu-Gi-Oh. Anyway most duels will be conducted on my Yu-Gi-Oh Nightmare Troubadour game, since the deck I use in it is very similar. Also if the normal people Star against decks seem off that's why.**

Chapter 4

**Star's POV**

I pulled up in front of the museum and parked my car. I got out and looked up at the building. In California I was never a super studious person, I preferred playing sports, which I do still when I can. So, I can probably count how many times I've been to a museum. It threw me off guard by the curator specifically asking me to come here. I got out of the car and made my way to the entrance.

"I have been waiting for you Miss Sanders," a woman said standing in the door way.

She was dressed very different then what I am used to, I could tell she was not native to Japan.

"I'm Star and I'm going to guess you are the curator?" I asked not so sure.

"I am, my name is Ishizu Ishtar. I called you here today to see if a theory I had was correct. Will you please follow me?" she asked turning around.

I followed her into the museum, I was looking around at everything around me, maybe I should go to a museum it's interesting. She took me downstairs which was starting to freak me out.

"Where are we going?" I asked.

"There is a stone tablet from Ancient Egypt I would like you to see. This part of the exhibit is not yet open to the public," she answered.

The lights turned on and we approached a huge stone tablet.

"Is there anything about this tablet that you recognize?" she asked. I examined it and instantly thought I saw the Dark Magician above a figure. I looked more and saw a dragon above the other figure. There were more figures above those, but I couldn't even begin to guess what they were.

"Is that the Dark Magician?" I asked looking at her confused.

"You know the Dark Magician I take it?"

"Yes, I use it in my deck. I also see a dragon. But I have no idea what any this has to do with me."

"You use it in your deck you said. Would you mind dueling me, I would like to see?" she asked.

"Uhh, sure I'll duel you, but after you have to tell me what is going on here. This is strange and now you want to duel me. Call me what you will, but this doesn't seem like a coincidence."

"I will tell you everything after our duel," she said leading me over to a door.

I followed her in and there was a table and two chairs all set up. There is something going on here and I don't know how I like this. She sat in one of the chairs and I sat across from her pulling my deck out of the deck box on my hip.

"We shall play by Kaiba's new rules, if that is ok with you," she said setting her deck down for me to shuffle.

"Sounds good to me, you challenged me you go first," I replied setting mine down and took hers to shuffle. I don't know how she knows about Kaiba's new rules, I only do because I hack his system on the regular.

We gave our decks back and drew our hands. I looked down at my hand I drew Neo the Magic Swordsman, Dark Magician Girl, Malevolent Nuzzler, Dark Magic Curtain and Mystical Elf.

"I draw, first I activate Foolish Burial," she said and pulled out a monster putting it in her discard pile." Next I summon Zolga and set a card facedown ending my turn."

"Ok I draw," I looked seeing Mirror Force, great. "First I set a card facedown and I set a monster. I end." I finished setting Mystical Elf.

"I summon Agido and I attack," she said and I flipped Mystical Elf over.

"You're down 500 life points," I said.

"I finish my turn," she said. I drew and saw Penguin Solider, not much help right now.

"Ok, I sacrifice Mystical Elf to summon my Dark Magician Girl. And I attack Agido so another 500 life points down."

"Agido's effect activates. I roll a dice and based on what I roll allows me to summon a fairy card from graveyard," she said rolling a dice it was a 4. "I summon Zolga in defense mode."

"I end," I said, I've never seen these cards before.

"I activate Corpse of Yatsu-Garasu and choose to draw a card. I now activate Reasoning, you choose a monster level and if it's not that level I may play it," she explained.

"Level four," I said going for a safe bet. She started discarding non-monster cards and got to a Cat of Ill Omen, damnit.

"I also play Shallow Grave and bring back Agido in defense mode, you also bring back your Mystical Elf in defense mode," she said I did what she said. "I set a monster and turn Zolga to defense mode and end my turn."

"I draw," I said drawing Silent Magician Lvl 4. "I now play Dark Magic Curtain by halving my life points I can special summon a Dark Magician from my deck."

I went through my deck finding my Dark Magician and playing him in attack mode, before reshuffling.

"I now attack your Cat of Ill Omen with Dark Magician Girl and your facedown monster with Dark Magician," I said as she flipped it over showing me Mask of Darkness, fuck. She took a trap card to her hand from her graveyard. " I end my turn."

"I set a card this turn," she turned.

I shook my head and drew another Neo.

"I summon Neo the Magic Swordsman in attack mode. My Dark Magician attacks Agido," I said, she rolled the dice rolling a 2, yay. "Neo and Dark Magician Girl attack your Zolga's."

She was now defenseless, which meant I was going to win next turn. Which is good I don't like her cards, having not seen them before and it slightly scared me.

"I activate Corpse of Yatsu-Garasu and choose to draw a card. Next I activate another Foolish Burial and also activate Pot of Greed," she said, wow I should have summoned my Silent Magician. "I now play Reload. Then I set two cards face and set a monster."

"Ok my turn," I looked and saw Magician's Circle, but it did me no good since I'm playing my Silent Magician. "I summon Silent Magician Lvl 4 and have Dark Magician Girl attack your set monster."

"It's a Cat of Ill Omen, I now choose a trap from my deck and move it to the top of my deck. I choose Reversal of Graves," she said I really don't like the sound of that.

"I can now attack your 3000 life points with Dark Magician and my Silent Magician winning the duel. Now I want answers," I said crossing my arms over my chest.

"And I now have enough information to give them to you," she said cleaning up her cards, as I did the same. Once we were done she sat a moment before taking a breath.

"My family and are the Tomb-Keepers of the great Pharaoh. Long ago in the land of the pharaohs, the great Pharaoh that saved humanity had a wife his Queen. She was a great queen as it is said. Legend has that originally the Pharaohs Priest fell in love with this woman, she was a peasant then, but he held her highly. Somehow which is lost to us, the Pharaoh decided that he wanted to marry the peasant girl, not knowing that the Priest loved her. When the Pharaoh passed, his Priest was able to reunite with his true love," she explained. "The tablet you saw was the Pharaoh, who possessed the Dark Magician against the Priest and his Blue Eyes White Dragon."

"Wait, the Blue Eyes White Dragon is one of the rarest cards in duel monsters, Kaiba having the only ones that I know of. This relates to today, somehow doesn't it?" I asked.

"It does, the Pharaohs most loyal servant the Dark Magician is to serve his queen like him. The Blue Eyes White Dragon is a friend and ally to the queen also. Tell me have you ever faced Kaiba's Blue Eyes?"

"I dueled against it a few days ago," I said starting to feel uneasy.

"And how did you feel, were you frightened?"

"No," I said hearing the unease in my voice.

"As I suspected, I believe you to be the reincarnation of the queen."

"It's just a coincidence, I mean lots of people use the Dark Magician cards," I said. Shit, I broke Rule 39 in Gibbs NCIS rulebook, there is no such things as coincidence.

"The Pharaoh has returned to this time and will have to save the world. It is only right that his Priest and Queen were reincarnated in this time also to help him through this."

"Look, I'm no queen. I'm just a girl, whose grandpa died and became CEO of a huge company. I have one real friend, can't get a date to save my life and love hacking computers. I am no queen," I tried to reason freaked out.

"You may not be now, but you were. You may not believe it now, but you and the Priest will have to help the Pharaoh through many tough times ahead."

"You said the Priest is here too, why aren't you bugging him if he's so powerf-," I started before it hit me. "Kaiba is the Priest, you honestly believe that he's some Priest to a Pharaoh. Have you met him? He's a jerk that will bow to no one, he doesn't even admit if he's wrong."

"My Queen, if you jus-," she started.

"Don't start with that my queen shit, look you're asking me to believe a bunch of non-sense. You know that? All of this sounds like a made-up story. I'm leaving," I said getting up from the table and making my way to the door.

"Your grandfather loved you dearly," she said as I was at the door and I stopped. My grandpa never admitted to loving me hell, he never tried to come to any of my games or duels or anything. "If you do not believe me, you should ask Kaiba."

"Whatever," I muttered leaving.
