Okay my wonderful readers! I know this isn't a full chapter, but I've been busy ( again bleh!) but here is a little sneak peak into some flash back stuff and more to be revealed on the upcoming chapter! Also I do love the feedback and I love some of the theories on how the story will play out.

Hidden away in the comfort of his office, InuYasha had forced himself to show up to work. Even though the hangover he was suffering from, worse than yesterday or the day before, he found himself sitting in the darkened office; not expecting to be bothered by anyone.

Not even his pompous boss.

He had finally found himself in a comfortable position in his chair, his feet propped up on his desk; he had popped a couple more pain pills. He'd huff out a pained sigh. He just wanted to sleep. Sleep the hangover away.

Being seconds away from drifting off to sleep, he'd be ripped right back into reality when there was a soft knock on the door, followed by a voice.

"Hello, Mr. InuYasha?" the voice spoke in question from the doorway, he could the rays of light from the hallway. He turned his head, averting his eyes from the light.

"What the hell do you want?" He snapped, swinging his legs off his desk. The figure at the door was blurred, his eyes took a second to adjust. Even then, he could barely make out the details of the person but he could tell that they were a woman.

"Oh, I'm sorry to have disturbed you." She bowed "The office was dark so I wasn't sure if you were in today or not." She continued

"Well yeah as you can see I am here," he huffed, he'd brush some loose hair out of his face "So you can go now."

"I'm sorry but I was instructed to come retrieve you." He was somewhat surprised that she hadn't run off by his attitude and cold words. He rolled his eyes as he made his way towards the door and the woman.

She stood there a few folders in hand, this woman was calm and collect even while dealing with him. Most of the employees here never attempted to bother him due to his bad temper. The two made eye contact, glistening amber eyes met big, deep brown eyes. They stood in silence for a few seconds, until she flashed a warmful smile.

"Well it's nice to finally meet you," she bowed once again, respectfully "My name is Kagome Higurashi, I am your brother's assistant."
