Hey! Surprised for a new chapter already?
I do not own Legend of Zelda
XxDarkxX
"Whoa! There's so much color, I don't even know where to look!" I was amazed by what I was seeing. On the side of the house nearest the river, were a multitude of colored plants that seemed to crawl up the wall. "Kirei (Beautiful)" I whispered. I couldn't look away from them.
"Ho ho ho. I thought I heard someone out here." I turned my head to see a short old man walking towards me. "Oh I'm sorry. Are these yours?" I turned completely to the man. "Ho ho ho. Yes and no, they were my wife's project. She needed something to do, and this was the project she chose." The old man said while gazing at the flowers.**
"You see these are a type of flowers only found on the far end of the Gerudo desert, they are also only red or white. My wife bought these from one of those Gerudo women and raised them with care. A fews years after that she wondered if she could get them in different colors, now here we are with all of these."
"She sounds amazing, I would love to meet her. Is she around?" I asked gazing awestruck at the flowers. "Unfortunately, she died a few years back," He sighed while saying this. I turned to the man and bowed my head, "I'm sorry for bringing up such painful memories."
"Ho ho ho. Nonsense she would have loved to talk to you. Actually would you do an old man a favor, while I pick some of these." He walked towards a small toolbox I hadn't seen before. "Sure. What do you need?" I followed him.
"Well I'm researching the marine life here at Lake Hylia and have an observation pool in my house here. I seem to have dropped some tools into it, would you mind diving down and picking them up for me. You're a fit young man and should have no troubles diving down there." I agreed and jogged around to his door. What I saw inside was definitely interesting, it had clear looking containers filled with various creatures and liquids. I was curious but I needed to grab those tools. Having dived down and retrieved them. I left them on one of the tables and ran back out to the old man. He was holding small bunch of pink flowers. **
"Ho ho ho. You're back just in time, these are for you if you promise to do one more favor for me." He handed them to me. "I want you to give them to someone special. I'm sure you have your eye on someone already. Ho ho ho." "Ok, I can do that," I looked towards him. "Can I ask something before I go," He nodded, "What was your wife's name?" "Laksha. Her name was, Laksha," He looked into the distance. I nodded again and walked him to his door, as I went back to Link and Navi I said good bye one more time.
As I got close to the last island, I noticed Link was now wearing a green tunic, where before I'm pretty sure it was blue. Maybe he just has a bunch of different colors, like the roses. "Hey Dark! How was your day," Navi asked floating over to me, "What are you holding?" Link followed Navi gazing at the flowers in my possession. "Well I was given these by an old man," I said looking down at them, "There were a whole bunch of different colors, and they were growing up the side of the building! It was amazing. He said that his wife was the one who made them different colors, they are usually only red or white. She must have been a great person. I wish I could have met her," I trailed off.
"Oh! He also said to give them to someone special." At this I held the flowers up to Link, "You're the most special person in my life, so I'll give them to you." Link took the flowers with reverence. "Hey! What about me?" Navi floated around my head. "Of course you are, but if it weren't for Link, you wouldn't have been there anyways," I retorted. When I took a glance at Link, he was holding the flowers up to his nose, and his face seemed to be pinker than normal.
"True," Navi said settling down on my head. "Hey! By the way, are those roses?" I shrugged my shoulders, "I forgot to ask, sorry. Though he did say they came from the far side of the Gerudo desert." "Then they must be! They only flower to live naturally in that harsh climate is the rose," She zoomed off my head and flew over to Link who hadn't moved.
"Anyways, Link and I are still pretty wiped out from the Morpha battle, so we're gonna make camp and then go to bed for the night," She yawned. "Sure, I'm kinda tired too, so it sounds like a great plan." Going over to Link, I helped where I could.
Even though I told the others I was tired, I didn't fall asleep until the moon was high in the sky, I was too absorbed by my thoughts and the view of the stars. I couldn't get enough of this world and I hoped to be with Link for a long time. When I did finally sleep, I dreamed of Link and I running and laughing in a forest.
Yes, yes. I made him married and not super crazy. It was the only way to put the roses in the plot though :(
Pink roses signify admiration, appreciation, and thank you. He gave that color to Dark 'because he was so in awe of the roses.
Laksha is an Indian name meaning "white rose." I thought it appropriate to the situation.
Ahh, little Linkie is embarrassed, though he did take it in slightly wrong concept. Dark just meant that he was special to him in the way that he has taken him out of the temple. Also sorry for the short chapter, I wanted to put more but the story just isn't having it right now.
