Hey! How's everyone doing? Anyways I bet you're glad I'm writing faster, even if it's not consistent. Ok here is the 8th chapter of My Angel.

We were trotting across the Hyrule Plains towards a place called Kakariko Village, I was super excited because Navi was telling me it was a place with a lot of buildings and people. There were plenty of shops and fun things to do, according to her, the people who survived Ganon's takeover of Hyrule Marketplace all fled here. I probably would have galloped ahead, but for some reason Link has seemed mad at me since last night, so I was on my best behaviour.
Seeing Navi out of Link's hat, I gestured for her to come over to me, "Hey Navi, is Link mad at me?" She giggled, "No, he's just embarrassed at something. I won't tell you what it is though." Looking forward for a second she continued, "Oh! Looks like we're almost to Kakariko Village! See that lone tree?" I nodded, "There's some stairs right behind it that lead to the village. When we get there, just leave Forbes by himself, when you need him again Link has a way to call him. Also don't worry, Epona can take care of him." I just gave her a weird look before following Link across a stone bridge.
Once at the tree, I watched Link get off Epona, grab his stuff and then go up some stairs that seemed carved out of the mountain. Doing the same to Forbes, I watched Epona then run off with Forbes following her. Shrugging my shoulders, I ran to catch up to Link and Navi. Climbing the two long flights of stairs, at the top I saw a man wearing silver armor and holding a spear, Link waved to the guy but continued on. He gestured to Navi, who then flew forward towards something and Link followed. Not wanting to be left behind again, I ran after them . We went past a tall tree with a couple of guys joking around in front of it, up some stairs, past some wooden and stone contraption that seemed to go into the earth, past a girl standing in front of a pen, and then onto a narrow path.
Coming out the other side of the path, there was a slightly uphill field with a small wooden building to my right. Looking forward I saw around thirty or so carved stone objects, with writing on all of them, most of them the same size, but a couple of them were bigger, like the one in front of us. Navi continued forward and the two of us followed, as we were walking I looked closer at the objects, and noticed that there were flowers in front of some and others looked really worn like they had been there for a long time. Not looking forward I didn't notice that Link had stopped, so I ran into him, "Oof! Sorry Link."
Looking around to the front of him, I saw that one Sheik person, kneeling in front of one of the larger stone objects. Hearing my voice they stood up and turned around to face us, "More souls killed by the Evil King have joined this graveyard since last you stood here, I sit here praying that no more will be killed by him. To access the next temple you will need the item hidden in the well, however to get it, you will need to enter with a child's body. When you come back to the present, you will need this tune to access the darkness even time does not change, here is the Nocturne of Shadows."
I saw Sheik take out something golden with strings on it, a second later Link took out a small blue something with holes in it and put it up to his mouth. I was highly confused until I heard Sheik start to play an eerie melody using the strings, when he played it twice Link played the same melody. Feeling entranced by the music I didn't realize they had stopped until I heard Sheik speak again, "Hero, the Dark one next to you has too much of Ganon's magic to get past Impa's barrier. Farewell!"
Not caring how Sheik would leave us this time, I turned to face Link, "Do you think that's true? Will I really not be able to come help you?" I don't want Link to go through this alone anymore, he has had enough shit in his life. "Let's go try it out now! Navi?" She fluttered towards me, "lead the way." Navi hovered for a second and then up and over a nearby cliff, and looking closely at it, I noticed a fence at the top.
"Hey Link, can I borrow the longshot for a moment," I looked towards him and held out my hand. Not wasting a second, I took aim at the sturdiest part of the fence and then, before Link could step away I grabbed him around the waist, and shot the hook. I felt Link grab around my neck and hold on for dear life, when I looked at him he had his eyes shut tight. Reaching the top I let go of him and he scrambled away, the glimpse I got of his face showed him blushing.
More worried about the temple at the moment, I looked around for Navi, also noticing a big stone platform on the ground similar to the one above the water temple. Seeing her just ahead I jogged over to her, "Is this the shadow temple? It just looks like a cave to me." I tried peering into the dark tunnel, "Of course it is! Have I ever been wrong before?" She said sticking her nose into the air. "Yes, remember the like like in the water temple," I paused staring meaningfully at her, "You said I could run past it and it wouldn't eat me!" I yelled pointing at her.
"It's not my fault that you're too slow!" She ran into my head. "Excuse me? I am not slow! That thing was just fast! It stole my shield! What the hell kind of creature steals a metal object? If it wasn't for Link, I would have lost my clothes too!" Navi and I bickered back and forth for a little while longer before Link came between us, I narrowed my eyes at him, "Is that a smile I see?" I thought.
I saw Link talking to Navi through hand signals, and for the hundredth time I felt left out again. Looking into the tunnel , I thought I saw a flicker of light deeper in, wanting to see what it was I started to walk forward, only to get stopped by an invisible wall. I quickly looked over to Link and Navi and still seeing them in conversation, I tried to walk forward again, only to once again be bounced off the barrier. I backed up to the fence and went running towards it, this time I landed on my ass with a shout.
This caught their attention and they walked over to me, "You okay Dark? That sounded like it hurt," Navi said. Link offered a hand to help me up, I accepted it gratefully. "No it just bounced me harder than I thought it would. It looks like Sheik is right, I won't be able to go through the barrier," I sighed. Link looked towards the tunnel and then walked right through, Navi was also able to go through. They both turned around and walked back out, "Oookay." I said confused beyond belief.
Link just shrugged with a smile then gestured for me to follow him, he walked to the fence and hopped over to the ground. I hurried to follow him with Navi speaking above my head, "Dark, be careful going through this graveyard, Ganondorf has twisted the souls of the dead. They will attack you if you're not careful." I quickened my pace and ran out of there, passing Link who gave me a weird look.
I ran to where that girl was and stood there waiting for Link, I didn't have to wait for long before I saw a big grin on Link's face. Guessing correctly that Navi had told on me, I gave her a glare before turning my back on her. Link just grinned wider and had me follow him again, he led me past the girl taking a right down some stairs. Walked across the field and up a flight of stairs, passed some wierd guy kneeling and slapping the ground, "Great another weirdo for me to avoid," I thought. We walked up another flight of stairs and into a building to the right, with a green pot painting above the door.
Stepping inside, I didn't know what to look at first. There were a bunch of books to my left, a big pot filled with water in front of it, and to my right was some strange contraptions and a knife, along with a bunch of papers with medicine on them.
In front of me was a guy standing behind a counter, and behind him I saw, many plants in glass jars, and he was displaying a fish, a bug, some kind of weird pink thing, a giant nut, a blue flame, a fairy, green potion and red potion. I wanted to ask the guy what all this stuff was but Link walked passed him and into a narrow corridor to the guy's right. Waving at him I followed Link just to be led outside.
We went down a ladder and up some more stairs into another building, where I had to adjust to the dim lighting. Stepping inside I was reminded of the man who gave me those roses, none of the stuff was the same, but the atmosphere reminded me of the old man, who now I realized I never got the name of. Navi spoke to me but I barely heard her, "Dark, Link is going to be checked up now, we're going to be in the back, if you need us just come get us ok?" I grunted an acknowledgment.
In this room there was two big pots full of steaming hot blue liquid, and just sniffing them seemed to revive my energy. To my left were some more big pots but growing out of them were some plants and, I think Navi called them mushrooms. Above my head were cages filled with critters and some jewels tied together hanging from the ceiling. Near the counter was some packages filled with stuff, and some weird stringy stuff. Behind it was some tall storage drawers and a scroll saying something. On the counter itself was some more books, and I really wish I could read, when I looked to the other end of the counter there was a creature making a rumbling sort of noise. When I got closer to it I noticed it was yellow with black stripes all around it, it also a tail the same length of it wrapped around it's body. I reached out to touch it and it opened it's eyes, it gave a sort of breathy noise with it's fangs shining at me.
I bolted to where I thought Link would be, "LIIIINNNNKKK! THERE'S SOMETHING DANGEROUS OUT THERE!" I yelled bursting through a door. "WHY IS YOUR SHIRT OFF?!" I pointed towards Link, "AND WHO THE HELL ARE YOU!" I noticed an older lady next to Link with her hands on his throat. Link just gave me a displeased look and sighed, noticing Navi on his head laughing her ass off I yelled at her!
"What are you laughing at?!" She laughed even harder, "I- I knew this- this would ha-ha-happen!" She said between laughs, almost falling off Link's head. "Yeah? Well I'd like to see you fight off that monster… TWINKLEBUTT!" I yelled back at her. She stopped laughing immediately, "What did you just call me?" She zoomed over to knock me on my head, but before she could do so she got caught by Link, I was ready to tell her what's up when I felt a hard knock to the back of my head. "OWW!" I turned ready to fight back, when I got knocked on my forehead this time. "Quiet! I will not have you disrupting my patient or my eardrums with your shenanigans! Now shut up or I will kick you out!" The old lady was holding a heavy, short, stick in her hand.
Not wanting to get smacked again I sat down on the ground grumbling, I heard Navi snicker, I only shot her a glare not wanting to get kicked out. The woman sat down on a stool in front of a sitting Link and put her hands on his throat again, "Now, has the potion I've given you helped at all? Can you speak for longer periods of time with it?" Link shook his head in the negative. "The blood mushroom must not be the answer then." The woman sighed and turned to write on a desk, I just now noticed.
I gestured Navi towards me, "Hey, who's the old lady?" I whispered. "That's Regina, she's the one who gave Link the pain potion." Navi whispered back sitting on my shoulder. "Oh, how'd you meet her?" "Well when I was first assigned to be Link's guardian fairy, we couldn't really communicate that well. I would do all the talking, and if Link needed to say anything he would have to draw it out or he would play charades. When we came to this village for the first time, Link was trying to ask me about Death Mountain, but I couldn't understand him and we were getting frustrated with each other. Regina was walking by at the time and saw this, she took Link back here and examined him. Turns out, he has a curse on him from birth, we don't know who gave it to him, but it's a nasty one. She had us tell her what we were doing, and she believed us, she didn't think we were playing a game."
"She gave him a pain potion and had him spend the night. The next day she taught us to communicate without words, She taught Link how to speak to me using his hands and I learned to how read them. Then when we were asleep for the seven years, she thought we had been killed by Ganondorf. Seeing us again, she took us under her wing, she's determined to break the curse on Link. So whenever we come to this village we pop in and say hello."
Having learned the story behind Regina and LInk's relationship, I fell into silence. I'm glad that there was a woman like her in Link's life, I can't imagine what would have happened without her. Would Link be dead because he can't communicate with Navi? Would he have leapt into battle without critical information? While lost in thought I didn't notice Link put his shirt back on, I did hear Regina speak however, "I should have a new potion for you tomorrow, go to the inn and be back here first thing tomorrow. Also teach your shadow what a cat is, I can't have him screaming bloody murder every time she gets up to stretch."
Link smiled at me and then waved to Regina, leading me back to the store front. "Link, what's a cat?" I asked.

That boy, the shadow of Link, he had a curse placed on him, I can't tell what kind without examining him further, but it seems to be in appearance. He moves like he doesn't know his own body, and from the corner of my eye he seems to look different. The curse seems to be weakening, maybe from the master sword? I'll think on it more later, I have a potion to brew.

After leaving Regina to brew the potion, Link and Navi taught me what a cat was. I got a couple of scratches out of it but now I was good friends with the cat. I liked cats, they are a lot better than the devil creatures.* Seeing the sky getting darker I told Link and he nodded than led us to another building. This one was about 3 stories high and had lots of windows, Link talked to the woman behind the counter and came back with a set of keys, which he handed to me. "Uhh, these are nice and all, but what am I supposed to do with them.
Link and Navi both laughed and then the fairy proceeded to tell me about inn's. Having new knowledge in my head and in a comfy room, I waited for my turn with the bath. Having taken one at Lon Lon Ranch, I felt they were a luxury compared to the cold water of the water temple. Link came back to the room and I went to take mine with thoughts running through my head again.
"Navi said that they were going to clear the temple tomorrow right? I wonder what I can do while they do that? I could ask Regina to teach me to read Link's hands, and maybe that one shopkeeper will tell me what those plants are. I could explore the village, maybe talk to the villagers and see what's going on." With those thoughts I closed my eyes and relaxed in the hot water for a little while longer. Feeling the water start to cool down, I headed back to the room, seeing Link and Navi already asleep in their bed I proceeded to do the same.

So that's the latest chapter, what'd you think?
*In case you don't remember, the devil creatures are cuccos.
Also since Regina is the one making Link's potion, I thought I should give them a bit of backstory together. Also if I couldn't speak that's how I would be trying to talk to Navi is drawing or charades.
Anyways let me know what you think!
