It's been a minute. I've been sitting on this since October of last year. I wanted to add another scene but that never happened. So I figured I'd just drop something. Enjoy

Chapter 13

Sasuke wait" Tenten reached out, trying to grab her wrist.

Sasuke snapped his head around leveling her with a very cold stare. It was far more intense then she was used. And that glow.

"Sharingan" Tenten mumbled, before she shook of the fit of terror she felt rising.

As for Sasuke, he disappeared in a cloud of smoke. The Weapons Mistress fled to door and when he yanked it opened. She called for him for a second time. The atmosphere felt ominous, as wind blew briskly across her face.

"Sas- Takashi" She yelled, swiftly she scanning the area. Where the hell did he run off too?

From the corner of her eyes, she saw shadows darting into the wooded area on the far left. Tenten darted towards the two shadowy figures leaping around the last set of houses before entering the glassy clearing. And- they were nowhere to be found.

Fuck.

She scaled the tallest tree in the area and searched the distance for any signs. But nothing, this was time sensitive, so she ran further into the clearing, increasing her pace by the second.

Now she was nearing the village entrance. There was no sign of either male she was currently chasing. All she could do was continued further into the forest. Bingo, there was an explosion mere meters away.

"Gotcha"

There he was, the Uchiha avenger stood in the middle of clearing. He watched her with hawk like eyes, odd considering she was the one perched at the top of a tree.

"Didn't I say for you to stay home" Bellowed Sasuke, as Tenten jumped down onto the ground.

"Yeah, but I was worried you'd do something stupid" She said moving closer to him.

"Go home Tenten. Wait for me there"

The hairs on the back of her neck stood up. But she continued to get closer.

"No" She said stopping barely feet away

"Go home Tenten. I'm not going to tell you again" his red eyes glowed.

'"I'm not leaving without you"

Tenten pulled out a kunai from her pouch.

Tenten's eyes fluttered open and dropped into her stomach. What? When did Neji get here? His lavender eyes screamed concern, his long slender-calloused fingers grips tighten on shoulder. While relief flickered in his eyes as well, this only furthered help to add to her discomfort. She was quite disoriented.

"_"

Nothing

"Tenten, Are you okay?"

Neji husky voice finally penetrated her ears. Tenten squinted once more, as her vision gradually reverted back to its normal state. Her eyebrows arched- in confusion.

Where was Sasuke? Wasn't he just here with her?

"Neji, where's Sasuke?" she asked, looking around running, finally realizing they were in the living room of their missions home.

The Hyuuga eyed her suspiciously, removing his hands from her shoulder before interlocking them across his chest, pondering her question. But he didn't answer.

"Okay, I have to find him then" She ran her finger loose chestnut colored locks.

"Tenten what's wrong?" he asked, grabbing her wrist this time around. He wouldn't let until he got a straight answer.

"Neji let me go. I have to find him" She tries to shake Neji off. He tightens his grip and pulls her in closer.

She now mirrored his face from a short while ago. She was now also distraught and shivered under his touch.

The Hyuuga sighed

"The good for nothing is in the kitchen filling out paper work. But I am more concerned about you" He stated.

What the fuck was he doing in the kitchen? Last time she saw him; they were in the forest- He cast a Genjutsu fucking?

"I'm fine but could you let go. You're hurting me"

"Neji really, I'm fine"

"No you're not. Tell me what happen"

She sighed; massaging her wrist as she walked passed Neji towards this kitchen. She had bone to pick with Sasuke and this wouldn't end well by any means. She reached into the spandex strap around her waist and pulled out her lucky kunai. As if on cue, hurled it at the blunettes threw the open kitchen door. When she passed through the threshold her kunai was lodged in lone cabinet above there dining table. She also found Sasuke crouched over in a defense stance. When he recognized Tenten, relief rushed him rolling his eyes putting two and two together. She reached in the other side of her waist band to pull out lucky kunai number two. Before anything else happen, Sasuke rushed over to close the distance. He quickly disarmed her and restrained both arms.

"You bastard, Get off of me" She snarl.

Tenten fought to break loose. Sasuke reinforced his hold.

"WHAT DID YOU DO? You cast a Genjutsu on me. You know how I feel about Genjutsu"

"Nothing you need to concern yourself about?"

Tenten managed to break on arm loose, swiftly swapping at his face.

"Tenten, you need to calm down" Neji voice call from behind "If not you will come to regret this"

Was that a threat? No, just a jab, Neji was right she needed to pull it together.

But….

"He cast Genjutsu on me. Don't tell me to calm down."

Neji pinched the bridge of his nose. Why is it that every time he leaves these two alone things turn to shit?

"Sasuke, what did you do damnit?" she demand, as blunettes let her good. Thinking it might be put some distance between the two. It wasn't like he couldn't handle her combat wise but Team Gai training was legendary. He'd experience her prowess first hand on many occasions. But never under these circumstances, this time around might she actually try to kill him.

"Like I said before, I made sure he won't be bothering you anymore"

Tenten arched her eyebrow and noticed his bruised lip and bandaged knuckles. This couldn't be good.

"Tenten, What is he talking about?"

"Nothing to concern yourself over"

"He's talking about Kenji" she swallowed "Please tell me you didn't do what I think you did?"

"Think what you want"

This got her answer.

"Why?"

"He was dangerous"

"The same could be said about you"

"Don't lump in with that lunatic."

"Sasuke"

"I've done plenty of things to warrant your distaste but I won't let you reprimand me for protecting you"

Tenten ran her fingers through her hand.

What the fuck were they going to do?

"Uchiha, What did you do?" Neji couldn't quite follow.

"Kenji. He killed him Neji. How are we going to do?"

Tenten started pacing back and forth.

"Is what she said true?" Neji grabbed him by his collar.

Sasuke pushed the Hyuuga off.

"He's dead but not by my hands"

Tenten blinked, confusion written all over her face.

"I caught up with him. He didn't like what I had to say. So we fought but Might Gai intervened and broke us up. When I turned around to leave, the idiot sent a barrage of kunai at me. The Kazekage sister was also present, she deflected the attack with that fan of her and the fool was impaled by his own attack"

Tenten flinched, that had to hurt.

"But why did you trap me?"

"I was going to kill him. I didn't want you to get involved?"

Sasuke was planning to kill him all along. It's truth that they are friends. So he cared for her at least a little bit. But still, it made no sense.

He knew what she wanted to ask.

"I never said anything before but do you remember that night we were out drinking at the bar and you woke up at home wondering how you got there."

She nodded

"Somehow he drugged you and took you home. I intervened before he was able to take full advantage. He had his grubby fingers all over. I had no idea who the culprit was until tonight. He even confirmed it"

Tenten was at a loss for words.

"I don't know what to say?" she admitted honestly

"Thank you works" The Uchiha bent over and placed a kiss on her forehead.

"Excuse me, I have work to do" Sasuke collected his paper work and excited the kitchen.

And again, Tenten was at a loss for words.
