Jack rode the winds all the way to the North Pole. Christmas is also a time for love, so North should know what to do, thought Jack.
As he neared the North Pole, he was spotted by a yeti. The hairy beast gawked at him with an angry expression and pointed, eagerly alarming the other yetis of the intruder's presence.
"Oh hey, Bill, fancy seeing you here." Jack said. He couldn't actually tell the difference between the yetis, but he'd be damned if he let the other Guardians know that. He had to keep up his air of being mischievous. He waved at the creature but didn't stop in his journey. He's had his fair share of being thrown in a sack by the yetis. Jack entered the huge castle that North resided in with awe. It truly was magnificent. As Jack looked around North approached him, the yetis bringing Jack's intrusion to his attention.
"What bring you here, Jack? The yetis weren't supposed to sack you for another month." North glared at one of the yetis who threw his hands up in a sign of innocence. A faint garbled sound came from his lips in defense but North cut him off, "Get back to work." He cried before emitting a loud booming laughter.
"Haha, no I came here on my own. You see, there's this girl-" all production stopped and the yetis stared at Jack. North stared, slack-jawed, with fuzzy eyebrows raised high. "No, not like that, I need some help with love-" some yetis gasped and one fainted. They began chatting to each other in their rough language. "Wait, no that's wrong-"
"I'll admit it, Jack," said North as he approached Jack, "I never thought this day would come." North placed his hands gently on Jack's shoulders. It seemed like the comforting, fatherly thing to do. "Who is this lucky lady?"
"No, no," said Jack, brushing away the giant's hands, "Not for me," he explained, "For Jamie!"
The yetis sighed and went back to work. They were gluttons for drama, and this was not nearly dramatic enough anymore. North also let out a sigh of relief, "Oh well that changes everything." North twirled his hand and began to turn around. "Talk to Tooth, I'm busy right now." He said over his shoulder.
"But-" Jack tried to intercept but was roughly cut off by the giant.
"Tooth, Jack, talk to Tooth."
Oh, alright, Jack thought as he left the North Pole. So much for Christmas being a time for romance. Perhaps he had come a bit too close to Christmas time. It wasn't his fault Jamie had to get love help just days before Christmas. As he was flying away he heard North yell, "Get back to work!" Jack's shoulder's slumped. Oh well, one Guardian down, at least he had back-ups. He darted quickly to the Tooth Fairy's palace, she was rather motherly, she'd definitely be able to help.
As Jack was leaving North felt worry rush into him. He turned to one of the yetis and sighed. "I just hope he doesn't end up going to HER." The yetis stared at him quizzically until North looked up, as if snapping out of a trance and said, "Get back to work!"
