Hello world! I come bearing a gift in form of an update. Enjoy!

Going home after so long was strange for Tony. He didn't know how long it had been been or even what had happened.
He drifted his mind into a state of unconsciousness as soon as they had touch Earth from the infamous Rainbow Bridge. The change in gravity with the nauseating drop of the non Midgardian friendly bridge had caused him to become overwhelmed. The polluted air of New York after a long time can cause some discomfort not only in smell but in breathing. Tony didn't care though. He had finally gotten a sense of safety and familiarity outside of stone and metal.
He did surface from his mind sporadically throughout the the dash to the tower and even through Bruce's examination on a rough metal table that was strangely more welcoming than the worn out bed in the Cell. He even swore that the third time he awoke he had Thor talking as a heavy object stroked his stomach causing his child to protest and kick his bladder. Unfortunately he was not able to move as he fell back.
I think I just peed my pants. Great.
Tony awoke slowly. His limbs felt like they weren't their own and three times their size. His mouth had cotton in it and if he wasn't mistaken, he was pin pricked to the max by the world's tiniest needles. He groaned pitifully in protest as his rude tenant decided to punch his temporary living space during what he liked to think was a morning if the light in the room was to indicate.
"Merph", he complained as he scrunched his eyebrows instead of moving.
Beside him a deep chuckle was heard before a hand was stroking his stomach, soothing the child within.
Rain and metalwork. It felt like coming home with that smell in his nose.
He opened his eyes a crack to see baby blues staring at him with a bright toothed smile. Thor's eyes were red rimmed and dark bags sagged under his eyes despite the brilliant smile. His long hair was resembling his own back when he had electrocuted himself back in MIT, but tamed in its godly ways. Tony Stark roamed his eyes over every color revealed before him. Memorizing them again despite his slight irritation at seeing that man before him. Thor's hand remained on his stomach, calming both of them.
"Tony, I am so sorry." Thor whispered as his face distorted and reminded the former prisoner of why he hated crying. It did things to the human face that shouldn't be done. Ever.
Tony cringed at the tears. He instead placed his IV infused hand atop the large hand resting on his extended stomach and squeezed as he smiled before opening his mouth and cringing at the dryness that creeped up and made him cough unattractively. His unoccupied hand had missed his mouth and hit his cheek.
Thor couldn't seem to have noticed Stark's failure as he grabbed the strawed water fast enough. Tony's eyes glittered with laughter at the never changing obliviousness that followed the thunder god as the straw reached his lips and he very slowly sipped, knowing from experience that drinking water too fast could cause problems.
"Thor. What's up?" He said as he spoke his first words on terranean soil.
"My friend, I have failed you."
"You failed no one, Thor. You came back. You saved us. You saved Lucien." Tony whispered as he squeezed Thor's hand without wincing at the shifting of the needles in his arm that made him squirm usually.
"I am sorry." Tears flowed easily now as Tony got caught up in the emotions floating around from Thor's apology.
"I am glad to be home." Tony replied as he too cried silently and had his tears wiped by Thor's stupidly large hands.
"I was told that luck resides within you due to the former Loki's magic lingering in his reincarnation. Had you been a normal mortal woman in similar circumstances the pregnancy would have failed from the body's natural reaction."
Tony felt his breath come fast as he put both hands on his stomach. He couldn't seem to breathe deeply.
"He is fine. Perfect for his time inside, maybe even a great deal accelerated in growth. . . Tony, they worry for you. It seems the child will live at any cost including your life by the way things are going. As family, we will need to tend to your needs. Lady Pepper has cleared you so you may not attend any meetings outside of video chats as well as push back till a month or so after the birth. She has stated that this would be done by not releasing word of you being among us until it is unavoidable." Thor spoke rapidly in reassurance. Tony nodded with closed eyes as the little Loki kicked up a storm at his mother's stress. Tony smiled and thought happy thoughts as he felt the baby calm and rubbed his thumb.
"He reacts to you. His magic it surrounds you."
"Magic?" Tony brought his eyebrows together and frowned. "I don't feel a thing. . ."
"Yes, it is weaved in you. You may not feel it but I see it. A gift from Mother recently." Thor sighed as he seems to be stroking something in the air. Tony shrugged and laid his head back down.
"I am glad to see you're not escaping like a madman." Bruce's voice called out from the doorway.
Tony simply moved his head and opened his eyes in that general direction rather than lift his head as Bruce made the room darken a bit more to prevent a headache. Grateful the inventor twitched his lips at his fellow scientist.
"I am happy where I am, thank you very much. It may not look like much but this beach ball I lug around makes everything three times slower, so by the time I get down the hall. I'll be shipped back here since a turtle can go faster then my waddle," He sniffed as Bruce chuckled. "Why am I a pincushion? When the heck am I getting out? I want my Cali-sized king bed and it's ridiculously expensive sheets, stupid skyline view, and Jarvis to tend to my every need." He whined as the two other Avengers in the room smiled with a crease in their brow at a familiar sight.
"I am glad I am seen in a positive view sir." Jarvis replied in a tone that invoiced relief and glee. Tony winked at the nearest camera.
"Before you can leave we need to get over all the 'doctory shtuff' as you once put it." Bruce mocked very lightly as Tony sniffed in false disdain.
"Fine, can Thor stay? I have a feeling blondie will not be leaving my side soon." He patted Thor's hand atop his stomach as Thor laughed lightly at his antics.
"That statement rings ever true, Tony." Thor switched his hand to be delicately on top of his IV'd hand and held it lightly.
Tony smiled and did not pay much attention to it more than he would anything. He enjoyed the human contact with a great deal of craving. He pushed it off as a buddy thing Thor does instead of reading into the situation.
Bruce raised an eyebrow and smiled at them. Radiately, if Tony might add.
"Lay it Doc." He closed his eyes at the predictable ramble to be ensued.
"Well, okay. First thing first, you're severely underweight as well as dehydrated and anemic. Second, I can't do anything about the scar on your cheek. I had to go in and cut a chunk of raised dead skin and tried to make it neater but there will always be a scar so don't touch or play with it now that it's numb!" Bruce scowled as he smack Tony's hand that left Thor's entrapment to go to his face. Tony pushed out his lips and made his eyes big as he while Bruce simply raised an eyebrow. Tony sighed and put his hand back in Thor's. "Third. I will need you to exercise in walks and with gym equipment when you can and eat more than you burn. Lastly, your birth date will come closer by a month or so. The fetus seems to have accelerated growth, but remained relatively small. Unfortunately, this means he will be small by Asgardian standards but average for ours. No abnormalities"
Tony did the only thing he could do in response to the relief that his child would live to see outside the womb, he sobbed and cried. He may not be the biggest child but he would be alive and healthy. Tony reasoned as Thor held him when his vision blurred and he tried to curl up. Bruce rubbed his back when he hiccuped harshly. He was okay. Lucien, his little boy, was okay too.
