Hey guys! School is starting next week for me (BUMMER) and I want to squeeze in one last update before that. I'm going to warn you guys that my update rate will probably slow down a lot, but I'll still try to publish more chapters. I am not going to give up on this story and leave it halfway! Please just be patient with me for the next few months. You guys rock.
ALSO, in the previous chapter, I wanted to say that I made an askfm account but for some reason the link didn't publish. It's supposed to be askfm/icecreamfluff (there is a dot between the "ask" and "fm") You guys can anonymously ask me questions if you need to. The link is also on my profile. Check it out!
(SAM'S POV)
"E-Excuse me?! Did you just say ghost flu? Is this some kind of joke? We need to save her!" I shrieked, not believing what Jazz just said to me.
"Sam… me and Danny need to talk to you about something, right Danny?" Jazz elbowed Danny. I looked at him and he looked slightly nervous and hesitant.
"Y-Yes. I guess we do."
"We can have all the time in the world for talking, we need to help Paulina!" I cried out. I glanced over at her and grimaced when I saw her vomiting green stuff.
"Sam. I know why she's like this… we can't save her." Danny said solemnly.
WHAT?
"Why the hell not? Jazz, you're a genius doctor person! You're the only one here who knows a thing about medical stuff! At least try to help her!" I yelled.
"I'm a student psychologist, not a doctor. Sam, Paulina has about two days to live. Sit down and let us explain." Jazz stated, rather calmly. What the hell? How could she be so calm if Paulina was puking her guts out and dying?
I nodded and slowly sat down. Danny sat down next to me and Jazz was standing in front of me.
"Sam, remember that cream I gave you for getting rid of the burn you had on your cheek? Ecto-Cream?" Jazz asked. I quickly nodded.
"Well, it's not supposed to be for humans…" Jazz started.
"Excuse me?" I asked, stupefied.
"It's for gh—"
"ANIMALS!" Danny suddenly cut in. I looked at him curiously, noticing an extremely panicked expression on his face.
I looked back at Jazz and she was glaring at Danny, but quickly stopped when I turned around.
"Let me speak to my little brother, please." Jazz gritted her teeth and I swear I heard Danny gulp. What the hell was going on? Did Jazz and Danny poison Paulina? Was the cream poisonous?
Jazz pulled Danny off his feet and dragged him away. I sighed and walked over to Paulina. She was green as ever, and she looked awful.
"Paulina, is there anything I can do to ease your pain?" I asked. Paulina moaned and rubbed her head. She faced at me and it took all my might to not scream. Her face was oozing green liquid from her eyeballs and nostrils. Her skin was a putrid green color, almost glowing. She had bags under her eyes and her lips lost all color.
"Oh my god…" I whispered. Paulina gave me a frightened look.
"Advil! Motrin! Anything! My head is killing me! I…" Paulina suddenly passed out. Before I could react, her head hit a sharp rock and I saw a pool of green and red coming out from behind her head.
"DANNY!" I yelled.
He came rushing to me and gasped at the horrific sight. I kneeled down and took off my shirt, not caring that Danny saw me in a black lace bra. I placed it behind her head to stop the bleeding. I looked up at Danny, who was shocked.
"WHAT DO WE DO?!" I yelled. Danny snapped out of his shock and picked her up bridal style. I held the shirt to her head and we both carried her to the camp. We set her down gently and I threw away the shirt I gave her, which was now soaked in blood. I found an old pair of slacks and replaced that with the shirt. Weird, the blood was more green than red.
"Danny, why is she oozing out green stuff?" I asked. Danny's head shot up and he looked nervous.
"Ectoplasm…" He muttered.
"What the hell is ectoplasm?!" I demanded.
"No time to explain! Stop the bleeding first!"
I tied the slacks around her head as tight as I could, and Paulina soon stopped bleeding. I sighed in relief but she still looked very green. Jazz came over and grimaced at the sight.
"Watch her head and make sure she doesn't bleed more!" I commanded. I took Danny's hand and started to drag him away.
"You look hot, Sam. Is Danny gonna get lucky? Sure seems like it. Score dude!" Another deep voice called out. I turned around and saw Dash smirking at me and Danny. For a second I was confused, but then realized I still had no shirt on. I blushed a deep red and ran to my backpack. I pulled out a black sweatshirt and quickly pulled it on.
"Do you have any idea what's going on?!" I cried out. I pointed to the direction where Jazz and Paulina were located. Dash glanced over at Paulina and jumped onto his feet and ran over to her. I sighed and grabbed Danny's hand again. I looked at him and he looked almost as red as I did.
I pulled him to a secluded area and let go of his hand.
"Tell me what is going on. Now." I demanded. Danny sighed.
"You won't even believe me! You'll think it's all crazy talk!" He cried out. I threw my hands up in exasperation.
"I don't care!"
"You'll just think I'm crazy!"
"Did you or Jazz poison Paulina?!" I yelled. Danny looked surprised and shocked.
"Are you crazy? That's what you think happened?" Danny cried out.
"If that isn't it, then what actually happened?" I stepped closer to Danny's face, giving him the most menacing look I could.
"SHE GOT GHOST FLU FROM THE ECTO-CREAM, OKAY? THAT CREAM IS MEANT FOR GHOSTS ONLY!" Danny suddenly yelled, and I was set aback. Ghosts? What?
"G-Ghosts?" I was too shocked to say anything else. Danny took a deep breath and calmed down.
"Look. I know it's crazy, but ghosts are real. I wanted to tell you sooner because you're the only one I can trust here. I'm a ghost myself. I saved as many people as I could from the plane crash and flew them here to this island. I've been scanning some of the island at night when everyone is asleep. I—"
"Y-You're telling me that you're a ghost." I didn't want to be that one "bitch person" who didn't immediately believe the other person. It sounds stupid, but everyone who does that in the movies usually dies. Who knows? This could be the same case. Plus, I'm usually pretty open-minded. After seeing Paulina, she really did look ghostly. I also have heard of some town hero named Danny Phantom. I always thought he was some myth or story that the people made up.
Wait… Danny Fenton. Danny Phantom. Could it be…
"Yes. I'm a half-ghost, or a halfa. I'm known as Danny Phantom." Danny said. Before I knew it, two bright white rings formed around his waist and he was no longer Danny Fenton. His white shirt and blue jeans were replaced by a black spandex jumpsuit with a "D" symbol on the chest. I gaped at him in shock. His hair was white and his eyes were a glowing green.
I felt a wave of dizziness hit me and my world started to blacken. I sat down and held my head.
"Sam!" Danny cried out. He held me up and shook me a little. I shivered. He was so cold.
"I'm still the same person! I'm only a half ghost. Oh my god, please don't pass out. I'll explain everything." I nodded and the dizziness faded. Danny sat down next to me, his hand was still on my back. He changed back into "Fenton" form and I stared at him, surprised.
"What do you want to know first?" He asked.
"What the hell is Ecto-Cream and why is Paulina sick because of it?" I asked.
"Ecto-Cream… Well it's a cream that ghosts use for treating injuries. It works on humans before it expires. Like Jazz said, I used it to help cure my injuries after getting beat up at school." Danny chuckled slightly. "Anyways, expired ghost cream doesn't affect a ghost much, but it is deadly to humans. You put that stuff on your face, and thank goodness I noticed and scrubbed it off before it got into your blood. Paulina, however, probably saw it in Jazz's bag and took it, mistaking it as some beauty cream. She probably took it last night. She has maybe a day or day and a half to live." Danny explained. I nodded slowly.
"I-Is there any cure to ghost flu?" I asked.
"Yes, but it is impossible to get it at this island. It's a combination of werewolf fur, fairy blood, and peanut butter." I gave him a strange look. That was the most random combination.
"So do all mythical creatures exist?" I asked. Danny shook his head.
"As of werewolves, fairies, and mainly ghosts, yes. There are no elves or Santa Claus or Easter Bunny." I nodded, slowly taking all this new information in.
"So… you can fly? And turn invisible?" I asked. Danny smiled and nodded.
"I can duplicate myself, fly, turn intangible, stay invisible, shoot beams from my hands, all the good stuff really." I smiled and nodded. It sounded rather exciting.
"So Paulina is just going to die? We can't do anything about it?" I asked. Danny shook his head and sighed.
I buried my head in my arms. "I shouldn't have been so mean…" I started. Danny grabbed both my arms.
"Don't ever say that! It's not your fault! You weren't mean to her! You were watching out for the others! She wasn't in her right mind! She only cared for her looks and look what happened! Don't blame this on yourself." Danny told me with a firm voice. He looked at me directly in the eye and held my hands tighter. I nodded and felt my eyes watering, but I wouldn't dare let him see me cry. I blinked away the tears and Danny let go of my hands. Without thinking, I leaned into his chest, which was a lot harder than I thought. Danny scooted closer to me and protectively put his arm around me.
"You don't think I'm a freak?" Danny murmured softly.
"A freak? Are you kidding me? You're a half ghost with cool powers. You saved our lives. You're not a freak, Danny. You're a hero." Danny put his other arm around me and hugged me tighter and I couldn't help but laugh a little. He was squishing my small frame with his bigger one, but I didn't care. He was reason I was still alive.
"Danny… what do we do when Paulina wakes up?" I asked, while drawing small circles on his chest with my finger.
"What can we do? We can't ease her pain. We can't really grant any last wishes. We certainly cannot get any werewolf fur or peanut butter!"
"So we just leave her to die?" I asked, horrified. Danny stiffened.
"We'll try to make her as comfortable as possible and see if there is anything we can do for her before she… passes. We'll bury her." Danny responded. I nodded against his chest.
I suddenly heard bristling leaves and footsteps running towards us. I pulled myself off of Danny's embrace and saw Tucker running towards us.
"Paulina… She… She's in pain." Tucker said between breaths. Danny and I stood up and ran over to Paulina.
Paulina was covered in sweat and was oozing ectoplasm out of her neck, eyes, and ears. She was rubbing the wound on her head with the slacks, which were drenched in blood. I grimaced.
"Paulina… Is there anything we can do for you?" I asked gently. Paulina looked up at me and nodded slowly.
"W-Water." She stuttered. I quickly ran to get the water from my backpack. I brought it back and held it to her lips. She drank it, but didn't look any better. She lay down and closed her eyes.
"Paulina no!" Dash cried out, shaking her. Danny held him back and Dash struggled to break free, despite his great strength.
"Dash… Will you do something for me?" Paulina asked. Dash nodded and Paulina motioned for him to come closer. She whispered something in his ear and he nodded. He picked her up and carried her somewhere secluded.
To be honest, I didn't want to know what was going to happen back there.
I sighed and sat down next to Jazz. "Danny told me everything." I said. She nodded.
"How are you feeling about that?" She asked. I smiled lightly.
"It was shocking, but I'm taking it in." Jazz nodded.
I suddenly heard a scream from the woods and I shot up on my feet. Danny, Jazz, and I ran to the woods and saw a half naked Dash and a dead-looking Paulina in his arms.
"I didn't kill her I swear! T-This was her last request. Before we got far she passed out!" Dash quickly explained. Jazz put her hand on Paulina's chest and shook her head.
"No response. It happened a lot faster than I thought." She said.
Dash stormed off and Danny looked at me. "Are you okay Sam?" He asked gently. My eyes were threatening to spill with tears.
"I… Yes. Let's go bury her." Danny and Jazz nodded. Tucker finally caught up to us and helped us build a small grave for Paulina. After setting her body in the ground, we covered it with soil and made a cross sign with sticks.
Jazz was crying and Tucker and Danny were silent. I stared at the grave. Were we all going to die on this island? A tear spilled out of my eye but I quickly wiped it away, hoping no one would notice. Danny, however, did and he pulled me into his strong embrace. I buried my face in his chest and let a few more tears spill.

(UNKNOWN POV: LATER THAT NIGHT)
I needed to avenge her. She wasn't supposed to die that quickly. The plan would otherwise fail. He would get mad and kill my family. I walked over to the grave and placed my palm on the soil.
"Venkiki kespow achi powell ghrodium." I chanted. A green light sparkled from within the soil and I smirked as a light brown hand popped out of the soil.
I know. I'm evil. Cliffhangers suck, don't they? Anyways, I hope you guys liked this chapter. Sam finally knows about Danny's secret. Paulina supposedly died from the ghost flu, but what the hell happened at the end? Who was chanting those words?
Anyways, I really hope you guys review. I was disappointed from the amount of reviews I got last chapter – only three. Let's change that and bring that number up some more! It will only take a few seconds :)
Also, please visit my profile, which I updated after a very long time. Thanks guys! Don't forget to review!
