Hey guys! Thank you SO SO SO SO MUCH for reviewing! I am so happy that I have over 70 reviews now! As promised, I said I'd upload 2 chapters within a week of the upload. SO HERE YOU GO, CHAPTER 12! Chapter 13 will be up shortly after.
SAM'S POV
I was still wiping off Timmy's chewed up Chocobites from my hair. The damn chocolate stuck to my hair and wouldn't get off. My hair was getting more and more tangled when I tried to remove the crap.
"That's it. I'm going to dunk my hair in the ocean water." I thought to myself bitterly as I started walking to the beach. As I got closer to the shore, the cool water splashed my toes. I jumped slightly, not expecting the water to be so cold.
"Great. Now I'm going to freeze my ass off."
I slowly bent over and let my hair fall forward. The water gently touched it, and I started getting lower so that my scalp could be doused and the gunk could wash out of my hair. I heard footsteps behind me that were quickly brushing the sand. I felt two hands shove me, and before I could react, I was soaking wet.
"Aghh!" I cried out, spitting the salty water out of my mouth and coughing. I looked up and saw Danny laughing hysterically. He was bent over and his eyes were tearing up.
Oh, that fucker.
"DANNY!" I yelled, getting up and jumping on his back. Not expecting that, he stumbled slightly forward and fell into the water, with me right on top. I quickly got up and laughed.
"Who's the sad one now?" I asked him, still laughing as he got up. He got up and started walking towards me.
What is he doing?
He kept coming closer and closer, and I started to get kind of nervous. Soon, we were two inches apart, and the expression on his face didn't change. He was gazing at me deeply, not smiling but slightly amused.
Was he going to…?
All of a sudden, he bent down and lifted his arms up. A big wave of water washed over my head.
"Gotcha!" He exclaimed. When he saw the murderous look in my eye, he immediately ran while laughing like a maniac. I immediately chased after him, making sure I grabbed a flip flop to hit him with once I caught up to him.
"I'M GOING TO KILL YOU!" I yelled, throwing one of my slippers at him. It hit him in the head, and he stopped to rub it.
"Ow!" He cried out. He frowned at me, but his expression was so funny that I couldn't take his pain seriously.
"Come on, you're a crime-fighting ghost and this small thing hurt you?" I teased, my grin widening.
Danny looked around quickly, as if making sure we were alone. Then, he disappeared.
Stupid intangibility power!
After fifteen seconds, he still didn't reappear anywhere.
"Danny?" I called out. Suddenly, I was being lifted straight up at over a hundred miles per hour.
"AHH! DANNY!" I screamed, trying to feel where Danny was. He was still intangible, and flying without being able to see who was holding you up was scary.
He reappeared, and I jumped when I realized how close his face was to mine. His baby blue orbs were inches away from my light purple ones. My heart skipped a beat.
Wait, what the hell? SAM! You're not some preppy girl looking for love! God, it was like I was the female character in a crappy romance movie. Girl meets guy in a dire situation, the two fall in love, and some miracle happens that ends up getting everyone rescued. Then happily ever after.
No, this was reality. I wasn't some fairy-tale princess looking for love. I am currently stranded on a deserted island, and my parents are probably worried sick. Little Timmy is barely three or four, his parents are probably going insane! Danny's parents have two missing children. And here I was trying to be all flirtatious? It was like I was enjoying myself!
So what if Danny's flying powers are cool? We still needed to find a way to escape the island. I was glad that reality slapped me hard in the face.
Danny landed on the ground and set me down. We walked over to the camp, where Paulina was applying some sort of lip balm to her face. Jazz was holding Timmy in her lap and playing some sort of game with him. Dash was eating a coconut, and Tucker was tapping away at his PDA.
"How's the radio coming along?" I asked Tucker.
"I'm not too sure yet, but I could be close. I picked up some weird sounds, but that could be due to water damage." He replied, not looking up from his device.
We spent the rest of the night just trying to pass time. Jazz read some half-damaged book, Timmy was fast asleep, Tucker was still messing with his PDA, Dash was throwing a coconut in the air and catching it, and Paulina was combing her hair with her fingers.
Danny, on the other hand, was staring up at the stars. He was leaning back against a fallen log and looking dreamily up at the sky. I sat down next to him.
"So you really want to become an astronaut?" I asked. He nodded.
"I've wanted to work for NASA ever since I was a kid." He replied, rubbing the back of his neck with his hand. He looked at me and smiled. My stomach churned again.
Wow, this reality check thing was not working as well as I hoped it would.
I stared up at the stars with him. I recognized the Big Dipper and the Little Dipper. I stared at the constellations and tried to find new ones.
"See that star over there?" Danny asked, pointing to a bright one on the left side of the sky. I looked up and nodded.
"That star is named after me." Danny said, smirking. I laughed.
"Shut up!" I laughed, punching his arm.
"See the dull burnt out one there? That one is called Samantha." Danny remarked, trying to hold down his laughter. I rolled my eyes.
"Wow, you're so funny ghost boy." I punched his shoulder again and smiled.
I eventually got sleepy and was planning to get up to sleep next to Jazz, like usual. "Five minutes and I'll get up." I thought, but I don't think I actually fulfilled that. I felt heavy weights on my eyes and soon I couldn't keep them open. I heard a faint chuckle and a sudden warmth right before falling asleep.
Okay, that is chapter 12! This one is more fluffy than some of the others. BUT WHO DOESN'T LOVE THE FLUFF? Anyways, chapter 13 will be up soon! Until then, REVIEW REVIEW REVIEW! I love you guys!
