Hey guys! I am SO SO SO SO SORRY for not updating in so long. Guess what? SENIOR YEAR IS KICKING MY BUTT. Jeez, you'd think that teachers would cut you some slack after 3 previous years of hell. But NOPE. Anyways, I have today off, so… STORY TIME!

Sam's POV

I felt cold wind blowing my hair around. I slowly opened my eyes and scanned the area. I was not in my usual sleeping place, next to Jazz. Surprisingly, I didn't feel cold. Half asleep, I stared off at the cloudy sky and freezing ocean waters that were in front of me.

I suddenly felt something warm wrapped around my shoulders. Turning my head to the right, I almost jumped up when I saw Danny, whose arm was around me. My heart starting beating rapidly as I realized our position. I was leaning against his chest and one of my hands was resting right where is heart was. Danny's other arm was on my leg. I looked at his face and he was in deep sleep. He was breathing steadily and seemed to have a small smile on his face.

'I wonder what he's dreaming about,' I thought. Slowly, I lifted Danny's hand off of my leg and got up. Coldness suddenly came at me, it felt like a thousand knives were piercing me. Goosebumps quickly covered my entire body.

I quickly ran to the main camp and grabbed a spare sweatshirt. I quickly slipped it on, glad that my skin wasn't exposed to the coldness. Realizing that Danny was wearing nothing but a T-shirt, I took one of Tucker's jackets and ran up to him.

Danny was still asleep, but his skin felt very cold. I tried to get the sweatshirt on him without waking him up. I grabbed his arm and tried to put it through the sleeve when—

"Uh, Sam? What are you doing?" His voice immediately made me jump back.

"Jesus Danny, you scared me. I'm just trying to put on this sweatshirt so that you don't freeze to death! I didn't want to wake you up." I said, realizing how obvious I was being.

Danny smiled. "Sam, I don't get cold. I have ice powers."

Well, this is awkward.

I didn't know what to do so I just grabbed the sweatshirt from him and stormed off. Jeez, I TRY to be nice and this is what happens.

I heard Danny laughing behind me. "Sam, wait!" He got up and ran up to me. He took the sweatshirt from my hands and put it on. "Thanks."

"Yeah, whatever." I mumbled, grabbing a coconut.

"Sam! There you are!" I heard a voice cry out. I looked behind me and saw Jazz running towards me. She literally jumped on me and embraced me.

"Uh, good morning?" I said, confused.

"Sam, I have been looking for you everywhere! You weren't at the camp last night!" Jazz cried out.

"Jazz, I was with Danny just ahead over there!" I explained, pointing to where we were last night. A small blush rose to my cheeks. I hope she didn't notice.

"What? What were you doing there all night?" Jazz demanded, eyeing Danny curiously. I looked at Danny and he scowled at his sister.

"Jazz! Stop! We were just talking and then fell asleep!" Danny exclaimed, rolling his eyes. He quickly walked away and went to Timmy.

"Talking about what?" Jazz asked, giving me a strange look. I swear there was amusement on her face.

"His ghost powers." I replied, quickly walking over to Timmy. God, that was so awkward.

"Sorry about my sister. She's a bit overprotective. Actually, she's annoyingly overprotective." Danny said as I walked over to him.

"It's fine." I replied.

I hid my face so that he couldn't see the blush creeping up on my cheeks. I directly faced Timmy and fed him his fruit so that Danny couldn't see.

The rest of the day dragged on pretty slowly. It was the same typical routine. We'd collect fruit and water, complain about our lives, watch Tucker mess with a radio, and watch Dash try to "woo" Paulina. The radio didn't seem to be making any progress, and neither was Dash with Paulina. Jazz and Tucker seemed to have grown pretty close. I noticed that they often would walk off together into the woods or along the beach.

Danny and I, on the other hand, were busy either arguing about something stupid or trying to help Timmy satisfy his demanding appetite and other needs. The kid acted like we were his damn servants! Still, he was cute. He actually had grown on me, which surprised me because I usually hate kids. It was kind of annoying how the others didn't help as much, except for Jazz occasionally and Tucker if he was feeling nice.

One week later: Unknown POV

Once everyone was asleep, I got up and went to the same tree where my secret "hideout" was. I kicked the same stupid branch and the top of the trunk opened. I slid down the narrow trunk and saw Clockwork messing with his timestaff.

"What's up?" I greeted him.

"Any progress yet?" He asked, ignoring what I said.

"Uh, I'm not sure. I think so. There was a weird incident about a week ago, but no one directly spoke to me about it. I've tried dropping hints so many times, trying to get them to see it. But they're so oblivious to it! Sometimes I spy on them, and from what I see, there is progress. Unfortunately, it's slower than what we were going for. This type of thing takes time, Clockwork. Can't you just somehow hide them from the plane that's coming in 52 days? Or make the plane go in another direction?" I asked.

"I'm the master of time, not the master of planes. We only have 52 days. Try setting creating a scene somehow." Clockwork said. I burst out laughing. Clockwork was giving me advice? Especially about this stuff? PLEASE. I bet he hasn't done anything like this in centuries.

"Stop laughing! You're wasting time. You do realize that if this isn't done, then…"

"Yeah, yeah I know. Where's your sense of humor old man?" I asked him as his form changed from a child to a grandpa-looking ghost.

"Also, can you change me back to my real form for now? And what about the cheeseburger you promised me? I hate eating fruit all day." I pushed, finding it funny to annoy him. Clockwork rolled his eyes and pointing his timestaff at me. A blue glow came out, and before I knew it, I was back to my real self. Well, I at least had my ghost side back. Being a human all the time, especially on an island, SUCKS!

"Yes!" I yelled out, flying around everywhere. Clockwork opened a paper bag and took something out. There it was. The most beautiful thing in the world.

"Cheeseburger, fries, and a chocolate shake? You rock!" I exclaimed, gobbling down the food. I looked like a total disgrace in front of Clockwork, but could you blame me? I was starving! I felt sort of bad that I was eating all this delicious food while the others were starving. But I couldn't jeopardize the mission. Everyone can get burgers when it's done.

"Please come back with better news next week." Clockwork said when I finished my meal. He changed me back to my disguised form, and I climbed out of the tree trunk.

I ran back to the camp, wiping ketchup off of my face. I quickly lied down and fell asleep, or at least pretended to. The next 52 days were crucial.
