Bionics Revealed

(So, I'm skipping forward a bit because I'm too lazy to actually re-write 10 episodes into 1 chapter, so we're skipping to after Krane and S-1, kind of in the middle of the Government episodes where they go on the press tours. Yeah. Around there-ish. K, enjoy.)

Dani's POV
I was sleeping in the lab again, in Chase's capsule, waiting for them to get home from the press tour. The Government didn't want me to go on the press tour, even though the world knew about all 4 of us. I guess they were "saving" me for something "special". What a load of shit.

I yawned and stepped out of the capsule, rubbing my eyes. A bathrobe loosely thrown over my pajamas, I walked over to Donald's cyber desk and started sleepily making the floors with the coffee machine and mini fridge appear. I glared at any of the agents who tried to touch my stuff, threatening to use my laser eyes to shoot at them.

I trudged over and yawned, putting my mug under the Kurig machine and put in my favorite coffee and let it brew. Then I sidestepped to the mini fridge and took out an everything bagel and cream cheese. I toasted my bagel with my lasers and then spread on the cream cheese. By then, my coffee was done.

I took my bagel and coffee and sat at Leo's Mission Specialist Desk. I put my feet up and pulled out my phone out, checking my Twitter feed. The first thing I saw was Chase's most recent tweet.

Press conferences all over the world and having lots of fun. Wish my girlfriend was with us to see Paris. He even tagged me in it and I started pouting. I replied immediately, Wish I was there too, babe. But hey, you can take me for our next date, if you really wanna. ;)

After that I kept scrolling and Douggie's most recent tweet was, The kids are touring, and yet I'm at home with a bunch of dim wits who have no idea what they're doing. I laughed and everybody in the lab turned to look at me. I shooed them away and they returned to what they were doing before. But it was true, none of these idiots actually knew what they were doing. They were actually getting everything wrong. It was horrible.

Donny came downstairs holding a bunch of metal stuff, mumbling about stuff. "Dani, get in your mission suit, you have training." Donny said and I rolled my eyes.

"But Daddy!" I exclaimed and he looked at me like I was crazy. I shrugged, "Hey, it's worth a shot."

Douglas walked into the room, "What's worth a shot?"

"Daddy! Tell mean ole Uncle Donny that I don't have to train because I trained yesterday!" I exclaimed and hid behind Douglas. He gave me the same crazed look as his brother and shook his head, like he was shaking away any weird thoughts. Technically, Douglas is my father since he adopted me. Well, technically, he raised me from a zygote in a lab, but my birth is nothing of importance.

"No, Donny tells me what to do and I can't let him get mad at me or else he'll kick me out. Now go get your suit on." I glared at him and shot lasers at his feet, making him jump, before stomping up to my room.

"Morning Tasha," I grumbled as I walked past her.

"Sweetie, do you want breakfast?" she asked I paused and shook my head.

"No, I already had a bagel downstairs. But thank you anyways." She nodded and I hugged her quickly before walking to my room to change into my suit.

I did so quickly and then super sped down to the lab. I made the papers fly everywhere once I got down there. Donny smirked and Douglas did as well as they started me on training. I got through the simulations pretty quick and when I was done, Douglas high-five'd me. "New record!" he exclaimed and I smiled,
"Awesome!"

"As awesome as me coming home?" I heard the familiar voice of my boyfriend say, and I turned to see him walk into the lab with Adam, Bree and Agent Graham. I ran and jumped into his arms, my legs wrapping around his waist. He caught me quickly and wrapped his arms securely around me.

I buried my face into his neck. "Gosh, I missed you so much," I whispered and his hold on me tightened.

"Next time, you're coming with us. No excuses." I smiled and kissed his neck. He shuddered and I laughed. Agent Graham cleared his throat and Chase let me down.

"Where were you three? You missed training!" Donald exclaimed.

Agent Graham stepped in, "You're forgetting, Davenport, you're not in charge of them anymore." I bit my lips from inside my mouth to hold myself back from doing something stupid.

To get everybody's mind off of it, I turned to Douglas and said, "Hey, can you help me look up my hidden abilities?" Douglas nodded, glad to be relieved of the tension in the air and he walked over to the cyber desk, kicking people out momentarily.

"Ah, here it is!" He exclaimed once he found the properties of my chip. "Let's see the next ability that you will unveil..." Dougie said, messing around with the mouse. He clicked on my status and the next thing that came up was flight.

"Wait...does this mean...I can fly?" I asked him, raising an eyebrow.

Douglass nodded. "Congratulations Dani, you can fly...in the next 2 minutes, the ability will be at your command."

I grinned from ear to ear, "Sweet! I'M GUNNA BE ABLE TO FLYYY!" I exclaimed and ran around the lab.

Chase caught me by holding his hand out and grabbing the back of my suit, "Sorry, she's just really excited."

I pouted at Chase and he pouted back. We had a pouting war. I won because Chase gave in. Although I was going to as well. I kissed him sweetly and pulled him towards the elevator.

"Ah ah ah. Chase, we need you down here where the action is." Agent Graham said.

Chase frowned, "I'm only going upstairs to say hi to Tasha."

"Actually, no, you're not. You're staying down here and we're going to work on prepping you for the next conference." I frowned. Was this publicity thing ever going to end? It seemed like all the odds were against Chase and I right now.

"But I want to say hi to Tasha and spend some time with Dani," Chase tried to reason.

"Chase- it's fine. I'll bring you breakfast and wait for you." He looked at me like he really didn't want to let go of me. I kissed his cheek, "It'll only be for a little while and then you and I can spend the rest of the day together. Promise." He nodded regretfully and kissed my cheek.

"Don't forget to bring down our breakfasts too!" Adam yelled. That boy and food, the perfect match.

I went upstairs and sat at an island seat. "Tasha, can you make breakfast for ABC please?" I asked and she nodded.

"Three egg sandwiches coming right up!" I smiled and began to pour drinks. Chase likes orange juice with his eggs, Adam likes chocolate milk and Bree normally takes her fruit smoothie that she makes before school.

Once Tasha was done, I thanked her and stacked the three sandwiches on top of each other on one hand and carried the drinks in the other hand, using my foot to open doors and press buttons. I somehow safely made it into the lab, and my best friends seemed to be bored out of their minds.

"Breakfast break!" I exclaimed and they all ran over to me, grateful for the food.

They all took their drinks first and then their sandwiches. "Dani, you're a life saver!" Adam exclaimed and I chuckled.

"Okay Adam, sure."

Agent Graham was giving me a murderous glare, but I wasn't afraid of him and glared back. "You're ruining my chance at fame."

I smirked, still glaring at him. "Sucks for you then, doesn't it?"

He glared at me harder and I glared back. I wasn't even afraid of my lasers glitching and shooting at Graham, because that would make it like Christmas. "You know, I can get you taken to prison for being bionic," Graham tried to threaten.

I laughed in his face. "And I can smoke you until you're a pile of ashes. Your point?" Graham only stared at me. I narrowed my eyes at him.

"You don't scare me," he said, trying to be brave, fixing his tie.

"Well, I should. Because a loaded gun is definitely not my first choice of a weapon."

After that I stalked off and walked straight over to Chase. He had just finished his breakfast and I grabbed his mission suit collar and lifted him on to his feet.

"C'mon Chase, get changed. We're leaving." I said. "You too, Adam and Bree."

All three of them nodded, excited to get out of Graham's lecture.

"You can't do that!" The asshole Agent previously mentioned exclaimed.

I rolled my eyes. "I can. Because you're scared of me. And besides, I'm Dani Edwards, Bionic superhuman, one of the best ever created. And there's nothing you can do to stop me."

Graham didn't scare me, I mean, I faced Krane and won, only using sarcasm and an element against him. Graham was a Knight on a Wizard's Chess Board, and I was the Queen.

I turned and tapped on Eddy's screen and told him to tell Tasha that ABC and I were going out. Eddy put Tasha on the screen. "Are you sure?" she asked.

I nodded, "We can handle anything. We'll be fine."

Evidently, we weren't fine when we almost got trampled by the press, walking into the mall. I was not very happy with this. Chase held my hand tightly, trying to keep my anger under control. We pushed our way to the center of the crowd, still trying to find a way out. It had already been ten minutes as there seemed to be no end.

"ENOUGH!" I yelled at the top of my lungs, silencing everyone. "LOOK! We're just here to have a normal day! No photographers, no reporters, no nothing. We're just normal teenagers. Just leave us alone!" I exclaimed, my anger bursting. The press backed off and I sighed in relief.

"You handled that well," Chase said and kissed my cheek.

I smiled, blushing. "Heh, yeah, I guess so. I'm just...upset that I never see you guys anymore because I'm not allowed on the press tours, and even when you're home and we go out in public, you're still bombarded. And I just... I want to have a normal day with my best friends. Is that too much to ask?" The three of them shook their heads and I sighed, resting my head on Chase's shoulder.

"Hey, I know what'll make you feel better! A trip to the bookstore!" Bree exclaimed and I perked up immediately.

"Books?" I questioned excitedly, getting really jumpy. Chase smiled as Adam groaned.

Bree and I raced to the bookstore, avoiding people as best as possible, but not crashing into anyone. Chase and Adam were running behind us, trying to keep up. We got into the store and stopped as soon as we hit two feet in. I took a deep breath, and suddenly all my senses were calm. It was so comforting to be surrounded by books.

It was really great, actually.

Chase and Adam followed us in, breathing hard. Both boys had their hands on their knees, trying to catch their breath. Bree and I just shared a look and rolled our eyes. Such drama queens.

Suddenly, I heard my name called and looked up to see Jayden waving from the Starbucks cafe. I ran over immediately, practically screaming his name and hugged him.

He laughed and spun me around in a hug. "Long time no see troublemaker," he said and ruffled my hair after setting me back on the ground.

I laughed, "Right back at ya. So what've you been up to on your days without me?" I asked, smirking.

"So far, just working," he replied and I laughed.

"Same here. Such a struggle."

He rolled his eyes, "Yeah, but you get to do the cool hero thing and I'm stuck making coffee."

I smiled, "Hey, the hero thing isn't exactly a plush life either. Sometimes we can get severely injured on missions. It's not fun coming back injured." He quirked a smile which made me smile too.

I really missed him over the time that I wasn't allowed out of the house. Donald had locked me in and I had no way to contact Jayden because Chase accidentally took my phone with him instead of his phone, and Chase didn't have Jayden's number.

See, after Jay's football game we actually became pretty close and he's one of my only friends outside the Davenports. Which is really awesome because I have someone to talk to that's not a bionic superhuman, although he thinks it'd be really cool to be bionic. Gosh, I love the stupid idiot.

Speaking of stupid idiot, Jay knocked on my head. "Hey, anybody home?" He asked and I blinked, looking up at him

"Sorry, did I blank?" I asked and he nodded.

"It's okay though, I had to make an order. Speaking of which, what do you want?" he asked from behind the counter now.

I smiled, "I'm gunna change it up a bit and get a Carmel Mocha Frap." I handed him the money and winked so he knew to keep the change. He was the only one working today so it was okay.

"Hey Jay," Bree said, walking up to us.

"Hey Bree. You want anything while I'm about to make Dani's order?"

Bree thought for a moment and then spoke, "Yeah, I'll take a grande Strawberry Crème Frap."

Jay nodded, "You got it!" Bree smiled at him and thanked him before walking back to her brothers.

"Hey, when do you get off for break?" I asked and he smiled.

"In about a half hour. Why, you want to come spend some time with me?" he asked, giving me puppy dog eyes.

I nodded, smiling. "Yes, I do, you idiot. This is the first time I've been allowed out of the house for a week. It's been a brilliant week, but I've missed you."

He smiled warmly, "I've missed you too, munch. Now go take these and walk around with your boyfriend before the daggers he's glaring at me actually become real." I laughed and leaned over the counter to kiss his cheek.

"See you in a half-hour, Jay!" I exclaimed and he waved, smiling. I walked over to Bree and she took her drink, taking a sip immediately.

Chase kissed my temple and wrapped his arm around my waist. He was trying to show Jayden that I was and only his. Which was really cute and funny at the same time.

We walked around the store and Chase decided to get a few books for both me and himself. And a few boxes of the Lego Architecture that could be found near the Starbucks. Except he got the really expensive ones. Which was sweet of him, becuase he wants to build them together.

Gosh, he's being so cute. I don't even know why, he's just...ugh. God, I love him.

My internal clock told me that I had about 2 minutes until Jay got off for break. "Hey, let's go sit down at the cafe, yeah?" I said and Chase nodded, smiling. Adam and Bree nodded, complaining that their feet hurt. I rolled my eyes, such complainers.

We sat down at a table surrounded by a couch and comfy chairs. Chase had his arm thrown over my shoulders and I was leaning against him. Bree and Adam were in a deep argument about ice cream flavors. I had no idea how they even got into the topic but with those two, you just never know.

"Hey mind if I sit with you guys?" Jay asked and I nodded, patting the seat beside me and he took out his lunch. Chase stiffened slightly, but I put my hand on his chest and he relaxed again.

"So how's the press tour going?" Jay asked after chewing his BLT.

"It's good! We're having lots of fun and visiting all the places we've always wanted to go, but it's nice to be back home for a little bit," Bree answered and Adam nodded.

"Yeah, like I can pick on Leo again!" Jay laughed and I smiled at Adam.

"So have you missed us enough yet?" Chase asked, smirking.

Jay looked like he had to think about it for a minute. "No," he said finally. "You've been all over the news. It's actually getting annoying," he said with a playful smirk. I pushed him slightly, smiling myself. "Although, speaking of the news, everybody's wondering where you are, Dani. They want to know about the superhuman with all three bionics."

I laughed slightly, "Well, they aren't getting me any time soon. Agent Graham won't let me on the tours and although he's afraid of me, I don't want to make the dude too angry because then he might, ya know, get all 'I'm the government and I'm in charge of you, do as I say!' That would just be bad in general."

Jay nodded, understanding. "Well then. It was good to catch up with you guys while it lasted. See you at school." He smiled and we waved.

"By Jay," I said and hugged him sideways. He smiled and hugged me back quickly before getting up and going back to work.

"Okay, I'm tired," Adam said, yawning. Chase nodded, doing the same.

Bree shook her head, "We might as well go home and at least try to get some sleep, not that we'll be able to acheive a lot." I smiled and pulled Chase off the couch. Bree was trying to pull a very sleepy Adam off the chair but he wasn't budging. I shooed her aside and she held on to Chase, trying to keep him upright. I grabbed Adam's arm and pulled him up, settling him properly on my shoulder. Adam groaned and I laughed slightly.

"That hurt!" he exclaimed and I smirked.

"Then maybe you should have gotten up," I said.

Adam huffed and crossed his arms, "I'm too tired." I rolled my eyes and super sped home.

I met Bree there and we traded Davenports. I took Chase from her and she took Adam, the two of them going to go sleep in their capsules. Chase wanted to spend some time together before he tried to go to sleep. We started on one of the Lego Architect boxes, choosing an easy one.

"I really hate it when they accidentally don't put enough pieces in. Gah, it just bothers me." I said as I scavenged for the much needed piece.

Chase looked at me with a raised eyebrow and held the piece up, "You mean pieces like this?" I looked over at him and snatched the piece out of his hand, putting it where it was supposed to go.

Chase was laying on his side, his forearm keeping him up. I leaned over the sculpture and kissed his lips before returning to the booklet for further instructions. I was surprised Chase was still paying attention. Sometimes he has a short attention span, but I guess because he was calm, he had a longer attention span.

We neared the end of the building, and when we were done, Tasha helped us put it in a glass case and we kept it in my room so it couldn't be used the next time the boys decide to throw dishes at each other. I smiled brightly at Chase and he smiled back, but the smile didn't reach his eyes. I frowned and sat on the bed, patting the space beside me. He sat down, looking glum. I took his hand in my own and he sighed.

"What's the matter Chasey?" I asked, trying to give him a nickname. He shrugged and blew air out of his mouth. "Chase, c'mon, tell me what's bugging you," I said.

"Everything seems to be bugging me. The press tours...they're really awesome and cool, but it'd be better if it was Mr. Davenport with us and not Agent Graham," he said and I nodded.

"I know. Graham's an ass. He's a total ass. But it'll get better. He won't threaten you guys as much. Especially not now since the world knows a lot about you."

"But they don't know a lot about you, and he keeps threatening you and it's bothering me a lot."

I smiled slightly. "Hey, I'm fine. If it comes down to it, I will make sure the only thing that's left of him is a pile of ash." Chase laughed and I grinned. He then yawned and I put my hand on his cheek, "You should really go downstairs and get some sleep." He shook his head and continued by lying down on my bed. I kicked my shoes off and laid down beside him.

I pulled the covers up and Chase held one of my hands in his own. I watched him as he closed his eyes and let the sleep take over him. He just looked too precious to disturb. He looked so peaceful, so at ease. He definitely needed rest, I could tell by the bags under his eyes that he wasn't able to sleep on the planes. I just hope it isn't the nightmares again.

Soon after Chase fell asleep, I did too. It seemed like only a few seconds after I was awoken by Chase's single scream and the heavy breathing that followed. I sat up immediately and tried to comfort him by rubbing circles on his back. He turned and gave me this crazed look before breaking down right there. I wrapped my arms around him and held him tightly, trying to calm him down.

I whispered sweet nothings into his ear and ran my hand from the back of his head and down his neck repeatedly since he calmed faster when I did so. He was still shaking although he wasn't crying and I just held him, besides the fact that he wouldn't let me go.

I heard footsteps running but I opened the door with my telekinesis and put a finger to my lips to tell the person to quiet down. It was Tasha and Davenport. They must've heard Chase scream. I shooed them away and closed the door with my telekinesis and wrapped my arm back around Chase.

He stopped shaking enough to pull out of the tight wrap I had him in and tried to wipe his face secretly. I smiled a bit and cupped his face, turning it so he looked at me. "Hey, it's just me. Don't be embarrassed." I wiped his cheeks with my thumbs.

"I feel like such a big baby," he muttered.

I clicked my tongue against the roof of my mouth. "You're not a baby, Chase. You had a traumatizing past with Krane. That's nothing to be ashamed of. Especially since it's not your fault."

He nodded, "You're right, you're right."

I smiled a little bit, "Of course I'm right. I'm always right." He laughed and I set my hands in my lap. His smile was just too cute to cover up. I smiled, just examining him.

"Would you quit staring at me?" Chase asked and I smirked.

"Why, does it make you uncomfortable?" I asked and looked into his eyes. He looked back into mine and then his eyes traveled to my lips and back up.

I smirked, knowing I caught him. "No, I just really want to kiss you," he whispered before softly placing a hand on my cheek and leaning in, capturing my lips with his. Suddenly, the world faded and it was only Chase and I.

We kissed for what seemed like eternity, but was only a mere few minutes. We pulled away, both out of breath. Chase kissed down my jawline and down my neck, to my sweet spot. He knew just how to make me want him more. I ran my hands through his hair, my eyes closed and I was biting my lip, to keep any sounds from coming out of my mouth.

He looked up at me and I smiled and he smiled back before I pushed my lips to his and pushed him on to his back, laying on the bed. I laid on top of him and he wrapped his arms around my waist, my hands on his shoulders, still kissing.

Once air became a strong need, I pulled away and he smiled at me, even though we were both out of breath. I smiled back, breathing heavily. I folded my arms on his chest and laid my head down, listening to his heartbeat.

"I love you." Chase said at some point, while I was listening to his heart.

"I love you more." I replied.

"I love you most. I win," he said and kissed my top of my head.

I smiled, letting him have his victory. "Oh just cuddle with me, you dork."

His strong arms wrapped around me, and I buried my face in his neck. Gosh, he smelled really good. His cologne was so...perfect. I don't know how else to describe it.

My arms were slightly wrapped around him, my hands close to his biceps and my fingers were all tingly because his biceps just stood out when his arms flexed. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath, refocusing my thoughts on something else, other than Chase's biceps.

His breathing.

It was slow and steady and he was finally asleep again. Oh thank goodness. Maybe he won't have a nightmare this time. Maybe cuddling helps clear his mind and the bad thoughts just won't come to him. I tried to match my breathing with his and in time, fell asleep as well.

The next time I woke up, it was around 7pm, 7:30ish. I realized Chase was still sleeping peacefully and didn't move so I didn't wake him. I just watched him sleep. So peaceful, so innocent. It was adorable.

"You know, I'm beginning to think that you're a stalker," Chase said in a husky sleeping voice.

I rolled my eyes and scoffed, sitting up. "Please, you don't deserve me stalking you."

He laughed, "You're right. I barely even deserve you in my life. Which is why I try not to take you for granted every day." He sat up, me in his lap and kissed my temple and I blushed.

"No I don't deserve you, Chase. You're so amazing and..." I looked down at my lap.

"Hey, hey," he said using his fingers to make me look at him. "There's no other person in the world that's better for me than you. We bring out the best in each other. And besides, we were practically made for each other. Your hands fit perfectly in mine, your lips on mine create sparks and it's not because we're glitching. Dani...don't-don't say that," he sounded broken when he said the last sentence.

I looked over his face to find pain and hurt in his eyes. "Oh Chase," I hugged him tightly and he buried his face in my neck.

"I don't want to lose you," he whispered and a couple tears fell down my face slowly.

"I don't want to lose you either."

I felt tears hit my neck and he was shaking slightly. I held him and tried to calm him down by running my hand from the back of his neck. It was a comfort for him.

He relaxed quickly and soon we were just back to cuddling. Distressed cuddling, but cuddling nonetheless.

Days later, the president decided he was going to visit us. Which, was exciting nonetheless. By exciting, I mean creating havoc. ABC were really hating Agent Graham right now and I could do nothing to stop their hate.

Once the president arrived, we were to show off our bionics. And we did. Well, they did. I sat back and did nothing because I apparently "wasn't part of the team." Thanks Graham.

In the end, Graham was fired and Mr. Davenport was appointed our new leader. Which means back to the way things normally are.

As a celebration, I made a cake and brought it down to that lab, which, thanks to Mr. D was now government free! We had our lab back!

The cake itself was half vanilla, half chocolate with vanilla frosting dyed red with Davenport's infamous symbol on it. It was awesome if I do say so myself. Douglas even joined us and we all celebrated.

"Congrats babe," I said and kissed Chase's cheek.

His arm was already wrapped around me and he smiled down at me. "Thanks. And congrats to you too, I don't know what we'd do without you." He kissed me and I pulled away, smiling.

"Ew, okay. I thought this wasn't going to be a smooch fest," Leo said.

I rolled my eyes. "Am I not allowed to congratulate my favorite person in the world?"

"Hey!" Douglas exclaimed. "I raised you!"

I looked at him. "And?"

"Well, that should count for something," he replied.

"Oh, it does. You're 'Man who raised me' in my contacts," I smirked.

He playfully gasped. "I'm hurt by that. Don't you love me more than Chase?"

"No, because if he's my one and only, then I can't love you more that Chase. It's physically, emotionally and mentally impossible. That's why he has a kissy face and hearts next to his contact and you only have a heart." I replied, completely deadpanning it.

"Well logic hurts," Douglas replied and I rolled my eyes.

"Is that really my contact in your phone?" Chase asked, making me look at him. I nodded and showed him my phone. "Oh. Sweet." He kissed my head and pulled me into his arms again.

It was great. We were being a family again. Family night, we should do it once a month.
