Chapter 13

Ralph the ex-secret agent and member of Team Dark Knelt to the ground where the women pointed out where the strange man was. He quickly gazed around as if a professional hunter was stalking a deer's tracks. Silver leaned up against a wall and whispered to Sonic "So… does this mean we're not going to fight the robots?"

Sonic shrugged "I don't know. I've never seen Ralph snap like that."

Ralph picked up a rock, studied it, and then threw it behind him.

Eggman tapped his foot and whispered "I have no idea what's eating him, what did you show him?"

Blaze shrugged "I-I don't fully know. A man just told us to give that to him."

Eggman walked forward "Ralph."

The dog turned "What!"

Eggman took a step back "Wh-who is this… leader?"

"I am quite surprised that you of all people do not know who I am, doctor."

Suddenly everyone spun to face the man Blaze and the others saw. Ralph got into a fighting stance "I have been steeling your technology for a while. And I should be thanking Sonic here for helping me, but his collaboration is not essential anymore."

Sonic blink "What?"

Ralph chuckled "He has always had a big mouth."

"Says the immature blabbermouth."

Silver rubbed the top of his head "Whoa! His tone still didn't change and yet… that sounded offencive."

"That's his talent."

"Which, the nonstop monotone or the way he stills sounds offensive with that monotone?" Sonic smiled.

"Yes."

Sonic only looked shocked "Huh?"

"You got Ralph here fired, that is how you helped me."

"And back on the subject as if we never went off."

"That is also his special power."

"Sonic, I have a question for you. How do you think Ralph got on the team?"

Sonic scratched his head "Uh …skills?"

The strange man shook his head and pointed. Everyone turned to see Sally with wide eyes. Once she saw everyone looking she crossed her arms and looked away.

"Sally!?" Eggman asked stepping away from her.

The man crossed his arms "She pulled strings and tricked her dad into it. This special force team that use to exist seemed extravagant compared to the work you do. You did not need special training that the group had since their sixth birthday, or the tools and its ammunition that is required. You made it seem like all the years of practice and working on who they are now was futile and since they never went to an "actual" school, they cannot get a new job and therefore you have ruined their lives… if it weren't for Sally who saved Ralph from a fate of a life of the disposed. It is a shame they were discharged during a time of crisis such as this."

Silver shot a finger at him "HA! See, a crissis on another dimension."

Blaze growled and closed her eyes while curling her fists "You're spelling of crisis… IS WRONG!" She nearly lunge at the hedgehog.

Silver jumped back "Yow-zers. My Blaze is much more nicer."

"Nicer."

"Huh?" Silver turned to the strange man.

"Nicer. More is redundant. It is either more nice or nicer. You do not just put "more" and "nicer" after the other or even before."

"… I guess?"

"What are you doing here Anonymous?"

"'Anonymous?' What kind of name is that?" Knuckles blurted out.

Ralph turned to him "Well, he never gave his name, so I gave him one."

"You couldn't think of something better?" Shadow mumbled.

"It's to annoy him."

"I was bored of waiting for you. So I came here to get you."

Ralph scoffed and crossed his arms "You being bored? Wow, new course record for you. Feeling a bit creeped out about emotions. Maybe anger is a new one for ya."

Anonymous only tilted his head "Typical Ralph…" He then turned to the group "…trying to get a inadequate reaction from me. How quaint. Almost as if we were enemies again."

Ralph reeled his head back "Were enemies? We are enemies. I haven't forgotten your attempts on destroying the planet."

Anonymous only looked at the group watching "Yes, I still believe in that, but we have a common enemy. You call him by the name of "Tails" or "The Mysterious Villain". Interesting, the name "Mysterious Villain" that is. He is neither mysterious or a villain. Some people need to choose their cockamamie nick names more wisely."

"Cockamamie? Is that even a word?"

Ralph took a step back in shock as Anonymous turned around to face the newcomers "Yes it is. It means ridiculous or implausible."

The men in dark armor walked up the original speaker shrugged "Hey, I still think you make stuff up."

"That is without a doubt."

The man pointed at Anonymous "Can you believe this Ralph, I've been trying all these years to get a reaction and not even one hint of it."

Ralph shook his head "Deen?"

'Deen' threw his arms in the air "No, Black-earth. Who'd ya think I am?"

Ralph walked up to the three "Alber? Nike?"

The two nodded while the third stepped up "What am I? Chopped liver?"

Ralph threw his arms out "Leech!"

The man shook his head "Why do you guys keep calling me 'Leech'? That's not my name! Its Lee."

Ralph looked at his comrades and then they started "Leeeeeeech."

"Leech."

"Leech."

"Leechy Wishy."

Lee nodded annoyingly "Ha, ha, very funny. Stop that!"

There was a sudden pause…"Leech."

Lee crossed his arms "Seriously?"

"Leech." Silver smiled.

Lee stepped up and pointed at the hedgehog "Don't you start it."

"Why?"

"Because I'll come over there and knock the teeth out of your mouth."

"…Parasite."

"Hey!"

Silver looked away with a toothy grin "What? That's what a leech is."

"Watch it!"

Sonic nodded and raised his hands in a mockery of surrender "Oh, defiantly. I want to keep my blood thank you."

Lee threw a fist at Sonic in a threatening manner. Ralph soon walked in front of Lee and looked at the group "Um, this is Lee's way of joking around by the way. He does not mean it."

Lee stepped to the side "Or maybe not."

"He's joking."

"Or not."

"Lee."

"I thought it was-."

"Leeeeeech."

Lee crossed his arms and sighed "… yah."

Silver and Sonic began snickering. Blaze rolled her eyes whilst Knuckles shook his head. Eggman scratched his head "Who are they?"

Ralph pointed at each "These are my old teammates. I thought you guys were dead."

Alber walked up "And we thought you were too."

Silver lept back "WHOA! FEMALE! FEMALE!"

Alber crossed her arms "Excuse me! What's wrong with me being female!?"

Silver taped his chin "Uh… you look male?"

She scoffed and placed her hands on her hips "Was that a question?"

"Uh…"

"The armor makes you appear male." Ralph said.

Alber shook her head "I know, doesn't make what he said right. Males are not the dominate sex."

Ralph nodded "As you have proven time and time again."

Alber walked off without responding.

Ralph nodded and clapped his hands together "Well… she's normal."

Lee nodded "Well, she is unusually determined as always. How did you survive?"

Ralph looked at him "Well… The floor collapsed under me. I fell into the sewers and all the fluids flung me around in till it exited out into some rocks. I climbed out and soon met up with Metal Sonic. He and I soon worked together. How did you get out? That building fell down and almost crushed me."

Nike scratched his head "Old creepy man here got us out. He suddenly broke through the wall and ordered everyone out. He even grabbed us and threw us to the next building. The robots soon collapsed the building on top of what we thought was you. Anonymous then brought us into the forest and we have hidden with him and his men. They had even given us their armor." Lee spun around in it "… Carful Lee, people will get the wrong idea."

"I'm not worried. I'm a 'leech' remember. Not attractive in anyway."

"Except to another wormy parasite."

"Cut it out grey hound."

"Silver."

"Well at least my name isn't named after a metallic ore that is under dirt."

"At least my name wasn't mistaken for a wormy parasite."

Anonymous twirled a stick in his hands "As heartwarming as this reunion is, we have much more important matters to attend to."

Blaze crossed her arms "Really? Robots about to destroy my universe is not important. Sarcasm by the way."

"Then use a sarcastic voice. I'm the one who has avoided sarcasm."

"And a voice that sounds normal."

Anonymous turned to them "I only chose not to reconcile with emotions. Therefore a neutral tone is the result."

"More like a scary tone."

Anonymous then turned to the group "Some of my men have betrayed me and are now going after Tails himself."

Blaze scoffed "And that is a bad thing in what way?"

Amy smirked "Well at least someone is trying to end him."

The man slowly turned to her "Do you think that the death of the robots' master will please the almighty Alpha Omega One? If he dies, Alpha One will be enraged." He turned to Ralph "Tails has developed the first AI's. They have feelings, but only toward their master. Do you really want the fox to die like that?"

Ralph stepped back "I don't understand. When did you care about someone?"

"I care about everyone. That is why all my plans to destroy the planet were fast and deliberate. I want everyone to die suddenly, where no one will suffer. What the fox has done only proves to why I was trying to do what I was trying to do, but you and your men had to keep stopping my plans."

Ralph shook his head "That makes no sense. You want to cause genocide."

"Not genocide. There is no actual term for destroying an entire planet."

Eggman cocked one of his eye brows "Killing an entire planet?"

Sally tapped Deen's shoulder "What are they going to do? The men after Tails I mean."

Deen pointed at Anonymous "He had found out where Tails' secret base is. It's right next to a construction site. The terrorists will attack Tails and pull him up to the roof of the construction to exterminate him while the rest keep the robots at bay."

Sonic shook his head "That won't work. Tails will have defenses on his person, as well as his training and speed."

Anonymous crossed his arms "I know that, but those men won't listen to reason."

Ralph poked the evil leader "I still don't understand why you care about the fox."

"I heard his story. Not too far off from my origins, the origins of my crusade of course."

"More like an evil plot."

"Call it what you will. Tails is nothing but a tortured soul. I want all souls to be at peace. That will never happen unless the whole world is destroyed and then there will be no more suffering."

"That still sounds ludicrous!"

Nike stepped up "It may sound crazy, but you can't deny that the entire terrorist group does treat each other as family."

Ralph looked at the leader "Well, now his armor is no longer superior."

Anonymous tilted his head "I don't know how Tail's technology works. I cannot use it to advance my armor. So there is no point in trying."

"No, I mean-."

"I know your armor is better. I know a threat when I hear one."

Ralph then pointed at his old team "What about them? Why weren't they given back to the world when it all seemed to end?"

Anonymous nodded "I understand your confusion. I would have, but I was personally watching the area where the giant robot fell."

Silver shuddered "Destructor."

"Whatever the name of the machine was did not matter at the time. I was on a boat with some of my men who were watching the trial of Tails intently; of course when the fox won they threw a tantrum and began to make a mess. I really despised the fact that my men would act so immature, but before I could tell them to stop the water began to boil and an arm suddenly shot out of the ocean. I only had time to activate my concealment screen when the body of a robot climbed aboard. He fixed himself and then talked about taking a while because of needing repairs and power supplies. After he left I turned off the consoler and warned my men about needing to get ready for an upcoming war. I began to work hard and told your team here to protect Tails from any assassination attempts without the knowledge of you or anyone else not part of my society. I am sure they wanted to tell you, but I told them it was best not to get you involved because you have had to fight these robots the whole time while we only avoided them and tried to stay alive. Also, that new armor of yours was by Tails and I knew you could take on the robots more than my men could."

Eggman poited at the terrorist " I know technically we are enemies with a similar problem right now, but I need to know. Was that bubbling water… green?"

"Yes. Why?"

Eggman grabbed his head "That mean Destructor might not be destroyed!"

Silver groaned and then "BAM!" he fainted.

Blaze looked at him with distaste "What is his problem?"

Sonic looked pale as he knelt next to Silver "He use to come from a future where that robot, Destructor, had nearly destroyed everything and everyone. He was one of the last to survive and he tried to fight it. He was no match and finally he had to come back here to stop it. He even thought it killed him because he saw his body appearing to be crushed by a giant foot. He also watched it kill people in front of him."

Blaze shrugged "Okay that makes more sense."

Eggman pointed at Metal Sonic and Omega "That portal we went through should be there but in a state of powering away. Take this chaos emerald-" Eggman took the emerald from Silver "- and go to our universe. Make sure that the ruins of Destructor are still there. If not, we're doomed."

Metal Sonic nodded and flew off followed by Omega.

Anonymous walked forward and watched the two robots go "I know that this Destructor is very important but this needs to take top priority now."

Sally crossed her arms "What is it?"

"My rebellious men are going to attack Tails, and they're going to attack him right now."

Tails' Base

Alpha Omega One waved an arm at the base "This is the best I could do for now. The actual one is being built somewhere else right now.

Tails smiled as he looked at the bunker "It's nice. Not as good as what Destructor use to be, but it's better than that shriveling piece of scrap we left back where Sonic and the rest of his buffoons are."

Phi pulled out a tablet and gave it to Tails "I am not aquatinted with you, master. I have no idea what you wish for me to do in this scenario."

Tails looked at the screen "This is how we're going to destroy this world?"

"Yes. I also am looking for precautions for you though." Omega One spoke.

"Precautions? I have nothing against this plan."

"About, Blaze."

Tails ears flickered as he looked at his robot "What about her?"

"Well, Phi was at the Egg Carrier when you mentioned to Sonic about your feelings toward her. I have yet to think of one."

Tails scratched his head as he looked at it. He smiled as he pointed at the screen "Ah, I have one. What we need to do is- YAAAAAGHHHH!" Tails was suddenly pulled by the foot.

"MASTER!" Alpha One and Phi shouted as they tried to grab him, but the force of the pull was faster than their reactions.

A claw had grabbed him and flung him up to the top of the construction site that was made of only metal bars with some wooden floors. Tails was slammed against the roof and as he pushed himself to his elbows he could see men circling him with strange armor. The suddenly began to crack their fists and necks as they advanced. Tails panicked he tried to crawl backwards from them but he shoved himself on a metal pillar. "ALPHA ONE!"

The robot looked up "HANG ON! WERE ON OUR-!" Just as the robots were about to climb a loud boom was heard and the robots were sent flying back. Lasers and missiles began to fire from all around the site. The robots ducked for cover as they tried to quickly think of a strategy to save their endangered master.

Tails ears fell as he saw his robots dive for cover. The fox looked back as the men advanced "Too bad you robots can't help ya. Now, time for you to pay for all the evil you have done."

Back to Sonic and the Others

The whole group fell to their knees except for Ralph, Anonymous, Lee, Nike, Deen, and Alber. A great explosion was heard and they all faced the direction of the boom. A mushroom cloud now hovered over the area of where the detonation was. Alber curled her fists as she growled "Looks like they're attacking the fox now!"

Sonic's eyes widened in terror "TAILS!"

Sorry for not updating, I have been really busy and I was stuck in a writer's block. So since I was stuck, this chapter is plausible for rewriting.
