Hello my sweethearts, I'm finally able to update this story after so long, YAY! I want to say thank to those who fav and followed this story. Oh, and to the Guest review that was quite enthusiastic about how I should continue this story. To that person, and to all of you, let's just say that things will really be kicking off now in Arendelle. Hope enjoy the chapter :)

Disclaimer: Just because I'm starting adult ballet lessons and my hometown is covered in snow and ice, it doesn't mean I own Princess Tutu or Frozen.

Once upon a time there was a boy who grew up to be a knight. The knight had few friends to call his own as a boy. The few he had magic and tragedy written into their lives. The knight tried to help and succeed for the most. But what about those who he could not help? Would he be able to save them before it was too late? And what about the knight's lover? What shall become of her while he struggles to complete his duty?

Chapter 4-The tale that takes a frozen turn

Ahiru breathed a sigh of relief once she closed the balcony doors behind her. For some reason the sight of Prince Hans had sent a shiver down her spine.

"I don't even know the prince, must just be a chill." she mused to herself.

In the end the ballerina decided that if Anna trusted him, then she might as well too.

Turning back to the ballroom full of couples dancing and laughing, Ahiru made her way around the sides in search for Fakir and her friends. As she passed by women with elaborate hair dos and men in fine tailored suits, she spotted Rue talking with Queen Elsa off in front of a long table. It looked like it might give way with the enormous amount of food spread upon it. Everything from fresh bread, platters of meats and cheeses, and bowls of chocolate pudding were crammed onto the table for guests to enjoy. Rue turned from the queen to grab a bite to eat when she saw Ahiru walking towards her.

"Ahiru, I was starting to wonder where you'd been spirited away too."

"Oh I was only talking to Anna. She wanted to know more about me and Fakir."

Rue smiled at her as Ahiru blushed prettily, causing Elsa to chuckle.

"I thank you for indulging my sister; she is a true romantic if there ever was one."

"Oh no Your Highness, it was fine really. I've just never told anyone our story before. Rue and Mytho have been a part of our story and so have our friends back in Kinkan. I've never been outside the town before so no one has ever asked about my relationship with Fakir."

"I see, well I shall have to get all the juicy details out of my sister once this party wraps up."

This time Rue joined Elsa in her chuckling as Ahiru blushed at the queen's words.

As the evening festivities were beginning to wind down, Fakir spun Ahiru around the ballroom, the full moon and night stars visible through the glass ceiling. The night had been perfect. Ahiru had never felt so light on her feet or as beautiful when she danced with Fakir, and waltzing in Arendelle was no different than dancing a pas de deux with him. Fakir's thoughts were akin with his lover's. Ahiru had never looked more like a princess then she did dancing in his arms.

"My princess, my duckling, my Ahiru forever more."

The orchestra finished playing and the trance was over. The two young lovers from Kinkan stared lovingly at each, clinging to the last sparks from their waltz. Fakir stoked Ahiru's cheek with the pad of his thumb.

"I wish this night could last forever." Ahiru sighed, leaning into Fakir's hand.

The knight only response was a slight smile that was only and always reserved for his duckling.

"No, you may not marry him. And what would you know of true love?"

Fakir and Ahiru turned at the sounds of raised voices, disturbing them from their little bubble. A few paces away, Prince Hans stood with his arm around Anna who seemed to be having a heated argument with her sister.

"More than you ever will. I'm tired of living inside the castle like a prisoner!"

Fakir grabbed Ahiru's hand and wove his way through the throng of guest, trying to reach the siblings before things got out of hand.

"Keep calm Elsa, don't act rashly." Fakir thought to himself.

Moving past the final few people in his way, Fakir drew Ahiru in front of the gathered crowd just as Mytho and Rue reached them. Fakir stepped forward towards Elsa and placed a hand on her shoulder. Gasps were heard throughout the ballroom, elder women commenting on how 'inappropriate' the knight was being.

"Your Highness, Princess Anna, I don't believe this is the time or place for such a discussion." He stated, glancing over at the prince of the Southern Isles.

Elsa glanced to Fakir's hand on her shoulder, before closing her eyes and taking a calming breath, murmuring "You're right."

"Anna, we shall continue this discussion in private."

Elsa began to walk across the ballroom when Anna grabbed her hand, accidently yanking her glove off.

"No Elsa, we'll talk now! Why won't you talk to me anymore? Why can't I marry someone I choose? When did I lose my sister?"

As Anna's voice rose, more guests turned their attention to the sisters' argument. Fakir watched as Elsa began more flushed with anger and hurt. He took a few tentative steps towards her, hand held out for the Queen to take.

"Elsa, keep calm. You can control yourself, remember?"

Elsa's wide eyes turned from her sister to her childhood friend, the fear ever more present now. She shook her head and clutched her bare hand to her chest with her gloved one.

"No!"

A row of ice topped with sharp icicles appeared as Elsa waved her hand in front of herself. Anna backed away still holding onto her sister' glove. She looked afraid and confused, her eyes widening at the ice before her.

Fakir lowered his hand to the hilt of his sword that was attached to a belt at his hip. Elsa saw this and raised her hand at him.

"You won't attack me or harm me Elsa. Let me help you. Either remove the ice or I'll have to cut it down to get to you." Fakir declared as he unsheathed his sword.

"Please Elsa; I helped you when we were children so let me help you again now."

Elsa fumbled to try and grab a door handle behind her, her gaze still fixed on the Pura Cycnos knight.

"Stay away Fakir. Everyone just stay away from me!"

And with that Elsa fled the ballroom, ice forming on the floor after each step she took.

Fakir glanced behind him and saw the scared and horrified guests. He found Ahiru standing with Mytho and Rue, concerning for Arendelle's queen evident on her face. Ahiru turned to Rue and whispered something to her before closing the distance between herself and her lover.

"If I know you like I now I do, then I'm coming with you when you go after Elsa."

"No Ahiru, this is a job for me as her friend." Fakir said.

"Well I see Elsa as my friend so I'm going to help her too." Ahiru replied, crossing her arms across her chest to emphasis her argument.

Fakir sighed and ran a hand through his fringe. He spared a glance one more time to the guests, Mytho, Rue and Anna before grabbing Ahiru's hand.

"Well we best make a move before Weaselton calls a witch hunt for Elsa."

Ahiru nodded with a determined look in her eyes. Fakir cut through the ice barrier and ran towards the courtyard with Ahiru in tow.

"How did cut through that ice so easily?" Ahiru inquired as they ran down hallways and galleries leading to the courtyard.

"Magic; this was the knight's sword from 'The Prince and The Raven' remember? When I was training back home I found out accidently that the sword could cut through any substance, even things made from magic." Fakir explained.

"Bu-but how? That's impossible."

"I don't know how it works. But Ahiru, after everything we've been through I think it's safe to say that nothing is impossible."

The pair finally reached the courtyard just in time to see Elsa freeze a fountain. Citizens of Arendelle began to move out of the way so that their Queen could pass by. No one wanted to get turned into an icicle if they got in her way.

"Elsa, wait!" Fakir shouted out to the fleeing royal, but she didn't stop in her tracks.

"Come on, we've got to catch up to her." Ahiru said, tugging on Fakir's hand.

The two ran, or tried to without slipping on the ice covered courtyard paving, and followed the patches of ice and drifting snowflakes until the came to the lakeside next to the palace side exit. Elsa stood looking at the lake, trapped. Ahiru dropped Fakir's hand and took a few steps towards the queen.

"Elsa."

Elsa jumped at her name being called. She turned and looked frantically over the knight and the ballerina behind her.

"Elsa, take my hand. Fakir and I can help you. Please just take my hand. You don't need to be afraid."

Ahiru was trying her best to calm the frightened royal in front of her. Elsa stood there staring at Ahiru's offered hand, before she hesitantly reached out her gloved hand to take it. Suddenly, raised voices could be heard coming from the courtyard. The Duke of Weaselton was shouting above the voices.

"Find that sorceress! That witch is not fit to rule!"

Elsa pulled her hand back and turned back to the lake, taking a tentative step onto the water. The water froze under her foot, and with a fleeting glance back at Ahiru and Fakir, Elsa ran across the lake, freezing it in her wake.

"No, Elsa please wait!"

Elsa's figure grew smaller as she fled to the far side of the lake and up the hill towards the mountains.

Ahiru dropped down into the snow covered lakeside, wrapping her arms around herself. Fakir knelt next to her and held her, placing a kiss to her forehead.

"Don't worry, we'll find her and help her out. It's what we do."

And that's a wrap folks! So now Elsa has shown her powers to the world essentially, and now we can really get into the Frozen story line. But don't think I won't be throwing a few extras and mysteries into the mix (I've already dropped some hints to some already).

I hope you've all enjoyed this chapter of A Ballet of Ice. Drop me a review, because they are my sustenance.

Let's see if I can update another chapter within the next month shall we?

Until next time

Love Frances xxx :)
