Chapter 21

Eggman, scientific genius and ex-nemesis of Sonic the Hedgehog, placed the plans on the ground with a smile. They were nearly complete and they only got those plans almost two days ago. Just as he thought these were very complex to the point Eggman was almost confused and it took a while to find the right components to fix him, but nonetheless Seven was nearly complete. Tails has handed them a way to fix Seven and find out the last piece to the password to look at the file. Eggman pressed a gear into the robot to replace the bent one he took out. He was treating this like doctor would. Slowly and carefully to make sure there was absolutely no mistake made.

Sally stood by, hands clasped together near her mouth bobbing up and down on her toes. Cream and Cheese watched eagerly as the clutched each other worryingly.

Omega has taken Amy away and into another room to keep her locked up and unable to yell to interrupt Eggman and his work. Metal was out finding metal to smelt down into parts they could use. Eggman stood, walked away, and swiped sweat off his forehead. He did not want his sweat to ruin the robot. Even though Tails put in his plans water could not damage it Eggman was taking no chances.

He rushed back to the robot and picked up the plans. He scanned it over and looked down at the creation and froze. He looked shocked. Sally, Cream, and Cheese looked worried, has something gone wrong.

The doctor looked back at the plans and then the robot once more. He shot his head up to look at the group and a smile formed "He only needs one more piece!" he was so excited.

Sally clapped and Cream and Cheese jumped up. Eggman stood "I only need the piece I sent Metal out to get. He should be back by-." There was a sudden gust of wind and Metal appeared holding out the piece "-now. Great! Now he's done!" Eggman swiftly jumped down and inserted the metal. He closed the compartment and sealed it before rolling the robot over on its back. The doctor pointed at Metal then Seven. Metal Sonic nodded and walked over lifting Seven up so his back was resting on him. Eggman called out "OMEGA!"

After a few seconds thumping could be heard and the robot came out holding a struggling and infuriated Amy "You've had me locked up with this THING! FOR OVER A DAY EGGMAN! LET ME GO!"

"Let her go."

Omega dropped Amy and she fell on the floor. She sat up in shock. She was expecting a 'no' or something. She crossed her arms "What is going on?"

"He is done." Eggman knelt down and pressed a button on the robot.

The robot whirled to life and the blue eyes in the empty socets came on. Seven jumped to his feet in a fighting stance and looked wildly around "HMMMMMMM!" He loudly whined. He stopped and looked around "Hmm?"

Sally ran up and hugged her favorit robot "Its good to see you again."

Seven looked around still hugging Sally back, and since he was a robot he could not blink in confusion and instead looked at Eggman "Hmm?"

Eggman indicated to Sally "I think she would like to explain our predicament."

Sally stepped back "Well. You clearly remember the robots attacking." Seven nodded. "Well. After that the group came back and-." Sally started to explain the entire story.

Blaze the cat sat around a table with Sonic and the others. Sonic and Silver, for some unknown reason, started making faces at each other and laughing. Knuckles watched on as if annoyed, Shadow was seemingly ignoring them, and Rouge watched on in particular interest.

Blaze's head fell down into her hands so she could run her hands up her face and over her head similar to a massage. She sat back up trying her best not to yawn. They took the entire day of rest like Anonymous wanted. There was significant improvement to say in the less. Even her people were moving around with smiles on their faces. The cat was even smiling. It has been years since she has smiled.

During the pass time Sonic and Silver told her the stories of when Sonic was in Knothole fighting to after Knothole and when Silver was fighting the deadly Destructor and then the final battle with it. They were enthralling tales that kept her attention, even when Rouge, Knuckles, and Shadow left. She has never heard such stories before, and they were full of action and adventure. She has noticed they have avoided talking about the fox and when she pressed on it they told her what happened was something she probably would disagree with. She still pressed on.

After hestitation they told her everything, even what Sonic had done to the fox (which completely shocked her, but she could see the guilt in Sonic's eyes). They told her about Sally's accidental death only for Tails to bring her back, they spoke on how Tails came to Knothole to get the chaos emeralds, and they spoke on the battle of Dark Tails against Dark Sonic. Blaze was interested in the details how Sonic became super and made a mental note to try it when she got her emeralds back. Finally they spoke on the end where Tails broke down and gave up because he realized what he had done.

Blaze shook her head "I don't understand. He had no idea what he was doing?"

Sonic closed his eyes, holding back tears "Yes. He was only five Blaze. He was only reacting the way he thought he was suppose to. He broke under all the pressure. He told me later on that after what I did to him he attempted suicide, but his Tails reacted and saved him… I never meant to hurt him so badly… but my ego was too big, even for me. That's why whenever the chance I brag about how Tails stopped himself. If he had not realized what he was doing and stopped himself I wouldn't be alive right now… neither of us would."

Silver rubbed his head "After all that I came back and asked him to help me with a female problem I was having. He came to the future with me and helped me. I now have a date waiting after this… ehh. I don't know what to do once I do go back." Silver fell and his elbows landed on the table "I've never been on a date before. Even if she's my best friend I don't know what to say."

Blaze scratched her head "He helped you get a date."

"Yah, in the future he's described as the greatest hero in the universe."

"Do they even know what he did."

"Uh… no. They don't. They only have documents that say he stopped the Mysterious Villain."

"But he IS the Mysterious Villain."

"That doesn't make the documents wrong."

Sonic shook his head "Besides. I was the 'Mysterious Villain'. I caused all of that and was hiding it from everyone. I could have stopped it multiple times by helping him, by apologizing and Knothole or the time he started to open up,… but I only insulted him more making it worst. If I was only nice this would never have happened."

Blaze looked away. She still was anger and not sure if she wanted to believe this. Sonic looked at Silver and smiled "Wait, is that what you and Tails did while Blaze and I were arguing? Went to the future?"

Silver looked up in surprise before going back down with a goofy yet guilty smile "Maybe."

Sonic rolled his eyes "Lucky. I want to see the future."

Blaze smiled "I'm sure everyone here wants to see the future."

Silver looked up, smile plastered on his face "Don't worry princess. We'll end this once and for all. Alpha One won't know what hit em!" There was a loud boom and everyone paused. It was coming from the door.

Sonic blasted at it and opened it "Wha-?" A hand suddenly grabbed his mouth. Alber stood there and she suddenly turned around. She looked back and Sonic and placed a finger over where her mouth should be. Sonic nodded and she let go of his mouth.

She crouched and snuck in and Sonic closed the door. Blaze, Silver, Knuckles, and Shadow ran over "What's going on!" The lavender cat demanded.

Alber stood and looked around nervously. She whispered "There's something wrong. Anonymous and the terrorists are acting strange."

Shadow crossed his arms "What do you mean?"

"They're carrying metal, grabbing broken robot parts, and moving machines, taking it somewhere else. Anonymous has never done this before."

Silver scratched his head "Maybe he's moving camp."

Alber shook her head violently and her voice sounded scared "He'd hold a meeting and tell everyone, besides, no one has packed up the tents and other equipment. The one's that attacked Tails are even out of the cage helping."

Everyone's expression grew to shock "What?"

"I don't know! This has never happened before and the guys and I have been with him for over two years now. He had something planned and it doesn't look good. We need you guys to come down and look now!"

Sonic looked serious "Sorry Blaze, looks like fun times over. We need to go to that camp now. Blaze you should be able to keep up with Shadow, Silver, and me. Knuckles, you'll be carried by Silver. Alright, let's move."

They turned and waved at the crowd who waved back. The group turned back to the opening and ran off following Alber back to the terrorist camp.

Sally watched Seven eagerly as the robot sat there contemplating what he just heard. He has rested his chin on his thumbs as he looked down at Sally's shoes. The robot lifted his slightly damaged white board and wrote: "So the Rouges left, Ralph is dead, and everyone is split up."

Sally nodded "Unfortunately."

Seven nodded and wiped the board before writing again "Show me the code."

Sally stood and pointed at Eggman. The doctor nodded and inserted the drive. The fire wall… did nothing. Eggman pulled it out and shoved it back in again. Still nothing. Eggman knelt down "No-no-no-no-nononononononon! It lost power! We can't read it."

Amy smiled victoriously "What do you know. A waste of our time."

Seven walked up and lifted his hand. Eggman looked at him confused but handed him the drive. The robot took it, lifted a panel on his arm, and inserted the drive in there. The robot then looked up at the wall and his eyes blasted out showing the screen of the two solved passwords and the unknown one. Eggman slapped his head "Of course! It required a specific Fire Wall. Yours! He must have suspected we would use up all the energy and decided that you were best fitted to read it."

The coded password came up and Seven nodded "Hmm."

Sally looked at him "Do you know the password?"

Seven nodded again.

"What is it?"

Seven raised his arms and the screen came down. He lifted his white board and wrote "What were the first two answers?"

Eggman scratched his head "Well now, let's see. The second was 'Sonic' in Morse Code and the first was 'Glass'."

Seven dropped his board and began typing and after that he lifted his arm and swung it back down to enter it. He smiled as he shot the screen back out of his eyes reading the words "CORRECT!"

Eggman raised a fist "YES!"

Sally smiled as well as Cream and Cheese. Amy only groaned.

Eggman looked at Seven "What was the answer?"

Seven pulled it up "Shatter."

Eggman was confused "What?"

Suddenly the code came back up and it then reformed into English "What does {Password 1} do when {Password 2} blasts by?"

Eggman nearly slapped himself "It shatters."

Seven giggled as he made a change "What does {glass} do when {Sonic} blasts by?"

Sally moaned "It sounds so obvious now."

Eggman grabbed Seven and shook "Now no more stalling! What's on there."

Seven nodded and the screen changed to files. Eggman ran up and pointed at one "This one!"

The file popped up and Eggman's eyes seemingly widened in shock "WHAT?!"

Sonic and the rest looked around in wonder. The camp area was completely empty "Where is everyone?"

Alber shook as she looked around "I-I don't know."

Shadow looked at her "Why do you seem so scared."

Alber looked at him "Without Ralph, we hardly stand a chance against Anonymous. He had a plan this entire time. That is very bad for us, especially if he did not mention it to us. He has done this before. Act on our side but had a secret mission of his own. We use to be his enemies; he would not dare tell us his plans if they went against us."

Sonic looked at her "But what about me? I'm much faster than the speed his armor can move."

Alber still looked worried "He always tries to plan for everything Sonic. He studied you because he thought he might have to fight you one day. Besides, he would not dare make a plan against you without making sure he could take you on in a fight."

There was a sudden three blurs and they stooped; Nike, Lee, and Deen were shaking head to foot "We're doomed! We're doom! We can't stop them!" Deen grabbed his head and stumbled about.

Sonic raised his arm "Whoa! Calm down, what happened?"

"We followed them to wherever they were going-…" Lee froze.

They all looked at Nike "… Anonymous is working with Tails. They're helping build his base."

The whole group's jaws dropped and eyes widened. Blaze seized her head in anger "I knew I shouldn't have trusted that man!"

Eggman grabbed his ear piece and shoved it in his ear, he had to warn Sonic. This was not good, not good at all. Tails was not hypnotized, he was not acting, he was being himself the entire time. Seven sat down, a scared expression on his face while the rest looked at the two in confusion and fear. They did not understand what was up there but whatever it was scared Seven and Eggman beyond compare.

Eggman pressed his ear piece "Sonic! I found plans from Tails to help repair Seven! He solved the last riddle and answered it! I got in and looked at the files! I've got really bad news!"

"Not as much of bad news I have Eggman." They all heard Sonic's scared voice "Anonymous was never on our side. He's helping the robots and the weapon to destroy the planet is almost done. Almost a few minutes till completion."

They all looked at each other in shock. Amy grabbed her hands together "S-Sonic can still beat them… right?"

Eggman planted his face in his arms "This is terrible. Absolutely terrible." He looked up at the ceiling "Please, please, make Tails come back!"

Sally planted her face in her hands. She was not understanding what was going on. All she knew was now Metal and Omega need to grab everyone here and take them to this base to stop the destruction.
