I only own Anonymous and his terrorist, Alpha One and the other robots, and Ralph and his four teammates.

Chapter 22

Sonic the Hedgehog, hero of Mobius, stood at the top of the crater looking down at the base. He could see the terrorists helping the robots build, but barely. He and the others with him were covered by all the forestry along the entire crater's steep grounds. There was a sudden wind and the entire group looked back to see Three robots dropping off five animals. Eggman looked pale, Sally looked terrified, Amy was biting her fingers, and Cream and Cheese were holding each other for comfort. Sonic smiled feebly at Seven, it was nice to see he was back, he was the only strong one in the group now. Sonic then nodded toward Metal and Omega, they needed their air support.

Lee, Nike, and Deen were standing with Blaze, Shadow, Silver, Rouge, and Knuckles. Alber, however, was sitting on the ledge hugging her knees clearly beating herself up over what she considered her stupidity. Sally walked up and knelt next to her "Alber… what's wrong?"

She looked at Sally "It's so obvious… so obvious… how'd we not see it… We've fought him for so long we should have known."

Sally looked perplexed "What?"

"He would ever lie to anyone he deeply respects. That includes Ralph and us. He'd only deceive, trick, or does not say anything at all. We heard the men saying they were going to attack Tails, they clearly now were only saying it for us to hear. When he told you about the attack he only spoke to you guys as a group not Ralph or us. You didn't gain his respect so he would lie to you. He spoke to you and not Ralph or us. We only listened when he was only taking to you. He did it to gain your trust so he could study you all. Now he knows enough to go do this. He's done similar things, how could he have tricked the guys and me again. AGAIN!" She pounded the ground.

Sally rested a comforting hand on Alber's shoulder "It wasn't your fault. He's a mastermind like Ralph said. Such people can easily trick others."

Alb shook her head as she buried it under her arms that hugged her legs "Ralph would be so disappointed. We swore to each other never to let Anonymous gain the upper hand like this again. NOW LOOK WHERE WE ARE!"

Sally looked at the other three. Looked down or to the side, Lee even grabbed his other arm. All three looked completely disappointed. Sally sighed and looked down at the base "They needed to stop it now. The chipmunk stood tall and glared at the three men "Stand up straight!" The three stopped and immediately went into attention. Sally then turned to Alber who was now looking at her. The princess grabbed Alber's arm and yanked her to her feet and shoved her toward the other three "ATTENTION!" Alber quickly went into attention.

Sally walked up to the four "Look at yourselves! Is this what Ralph wanted?!"

Blaze quickly came to her side "You four have been away from your military training for so long you're moving back into your emotional side!"

Sally pointed at all of them "Ralph may have joked, he may have laughed, he may have even acted immature, but when it came down to it he fought like a soldier! He NEVER, I repeat, NEVER left his training."

Sonic walked up "You guys were placed in Ralph's group for a reason. You are the best of the best and now look at yourselves." They four seemed to waver from their positions as if to look down at themselves but stopped and remained attentive. "Go back to your training! Can't you see by your self discipline here that your training is not gone! You're still at attention, you recognize authority! Don't start breaking down now! We're about to go to war! WAR! We need you guys more than ever. Only you four know how to fight Anonymous. We need that."

The four did nothing; they were suddenly stiff as a statue, as if they recognized their calling and were soldiers once more. Silver jumped in front of them "The planet is at stake and we cannot let them destroy it. Failure is not an option!"

Sally pushed the grey hedgehog away and glared at the four "Are we clear!?"

The four suddenly raised their arms in a salute to the princess at the same time and in unison clearly spoke "Yes ma'am!"

Sally nodded "Good. At ease." The four took a step to the side and placed both hands behind their back. Sally turned "Eggman!"

Eggman nodded "We need to charge into the base and wreck havoc at all coasts! They cannot win."

"Permission to speak, your highness!" They all looked at the four, none of them have moved so they did not know who spoke, they think its Nike though.

Sally nodded "You may."

"Anonymous gave us the location of Sonic and his group to help us get you to here! We are most likely being expected!"

Blaze nodded "At the rate of Anonymous' acts keep inclining its defiantly most likely he's expecting us."

Sally looked at the four "Do any of you think you know if he does expect us or not?"

All four spoke "Yes ma'am!"

"What is it?"

"He's waiting for us, ma'am!"

Sally tapped her chin "How?"

All four spoke once more "He is a brilliant strategist, ma'am!"

Sally was impressed at the constant unison "You had this conversation with my father before then."

"Yes ma'am!"

Sally rolled her eyes "Probably did not believe you either."

"Yes, ma'am."

Silver looked at the ground below "Even if he's expecting us we have no choice but to attack."

Sally nodded "He's right. We have to. Any recommendations?"

"Yes ma'am!"

"Yes?"

"We stay in the shadows in till we are close enough for a better surprise attack, ma'am!"

Sally smiled "Sounds good. Any objections."

Silver slyly raised his hands "I- uh… don't know how to sneak."

Shadow got up in his face "Just float in the air in till we attack, idiot."

Silver smiled sheepishly "Oh, right. Sure."

Sally looked at the four soldiers "Remember, you are not Lee, Alber, Deen, or Nike on the battlefield. You are soldiers! Sonic, Eggman, and Shadow are now in commander rank while Blaze and I are in the highest rank! Battle positions!"

The four suddenly disappeared and were kneeling and the entrance of the forest with pistols drawn and looking down to watch the enemy. The Sonic grabbed Cream's shoulder "When we get to the edge of the forest I want you to stay there and wait till this is over."

Cream nodded along with Cheese.

Silver, Metal, and Omega flew up so they could quietly move down the hillside while the rest crouched. Blaze looked left and right to see everyone was ready and she looked forward "Move!" She commanded.

They all began to move toward the base. Lee, Nike, Alber, and Deen waited till everyone went and came up behind them. They crept through the thick leaves and steep hills watching the enemies near the base. They came up to the edge where two robots were standing. Sally pointed at the four soldiers then the robots.

The four did not even show signs of understanding; they only quickly and quietly came up and positioned themselves behind the bushes to attack. The four looked at Sally. The chipmunk looked at the group and raised her hand. Then one by one she curled each finger and when the last one was curled she threw her hand down and pointed at the base.

The four immediately jumped on the robots two for each and brought them down beating them selseless making sure not to give them a chance. Sonic, Shadow, Metal, Omega, Silver, and Blaze blasted out of the forest and rammed into robots and terrorists. Sally, the four soldiers, Eggman, Amy, Knuckles, and Rouge ran out. The bat took to the air and grabbed a terrorist who was carrying metal parts and threw him on the ground.

Knuckles punched a robot away and then another robot. Sally and Eggman pulled out their laser guns and blasted at every enemy. The group of four attacked all the terrorists allowing for Sonic and the others to just fight the robots. They blocked, ducked, and punched at every enemy, not speaking and not responding.

Sonic rolled on the ground tripping the robots so Shadow bounced on each destroying them. Silver grabbed robots in the air and threw them at others. Metal tore through the sky blasting through robots and throwing around terrorists. Omega fired his arsenal of weapons at every enemy and punched a robot away from him. Amy was busy smacking robots and terrorists around madly as she screamed and roared at them. Seven came up and dodged every attack only to come back up and strike them all.

Cream and Cheese watch in awe at the team fighting.

Tails looked at the monitor at the attack in shock "Dang it! They're here too early!"

Alpha One fixed the monitor Tails broke and looked at the fox "Would you like me to attack them?"

"No. Do not bother. We need you in here." Anonymous walked up to Tails.

The fox nodded "He's right. We can take care of them."

"No, I want you to stay in here as well. I can take them."

The fox's eyebrows raised "What?..." Then he smiled "Ahh. Yes. You studied them while you were with them. You go out there and make them regret ever fighting you."

Anonymous bowed his head "As you wish." Then turned and walked out.

Tails turned and picked up a piece of metal "I'm starting to like that monotone."

The terrorists were about to charge Alber, Lee, Deen, and Nike, but suddenly stopped. The robots suddenly stopped as well and both ran back to continue working.

The four seemingly knew what was happening and they were in a battle position looking up, down, side to side. Sally held her blaster up and Eggman pointed it around. Sonic and Shadow went back to back to make sure nothing was behind each other. Amy held her hammer ready, Rouge landed next to her. And the three in the sky were flying above trying to see what happened.

The base doors suddenly open and a man walked out in his black armor and long black coat. Anonymous was now on the field and slowly walked to his enemies.

The four who have fought him before took a step back while everyone else turned to face him. Silver, Metal, and Omega landed on the ground ready to fight.

Alber yelled out "Do not underestimate him. It's what he wants."

Silver snorted and raised a hand "I could just throw him around with my powers."

Sonic cockily pointed at Shadow "Me and Shadow are too fast for him."

Knuckles pounded his fist "We also have Seven. He's stronger and faster."

Silver seemed more hesitant now "Unless he has Tails' technology that stops my powers."

Anonymous still continued slowly walking out on the field, arms grabbing the other behind his back like crossing his arms backwards. "I was not aware of such technology. Though helpful it would undoubtedly be, I do not need it."

Silver looked worried "Huh?"

"As for Seven. I already found the plans for him."

Eggman's eyes narrowed "Really, I doubt that!"

"It was a cushion in one of your couches. Thanks to it I knew exactly where to place my four devices." Anonymous pulled an arm from around his back with a strange device like a remote detonator and pushed it immediately. Seven suddenly squirmed and fell on his back. The robot lifted its head and looked at its limbs, they were no longer responsive.

Anonymous pocketed his device and kept walking arms swinging at his side. Silver pushed and Anonymous went stumbling back. Silver smiled "Heh-heeeeeh!"

Anonymous looked at the hedgehog "Telekinesis is a powerful tool, but it should have a drawback."

"Don't know one, so good luck finding one."

Anonymous seemingly ignored him "It must require a substantial amount of concentration to control it."

Silver did not want to admit it, but he was right. Distractions can stop him from using it. Anonymous suddenly tossed something in the air and a loud noise shout out from it. The whole team snapped their hands to their ears to stop it. There was a bang and a claw came and grabbed Silver's face. The hedgehog grabbed it only to be suddenly pulled by it. It let go and flew away from him, but a metallic hand grabbed his face, slammed him to the ground, and then a fist rammed his stomach. Gasping for air Silver looked up to see Anonymous bringing another fist down and knocking the grey hedgehog unconscious.

The group watched in shock as the nose finally died. Anonymous looked at the group and began walking forward "You should have listened to Alber."

Metal charged and Lee yell out to stop, but it was too late. Anonymous leapt over Metal and as he was over him placed a device on it suddenly blasting electrocutions. Metal went down crashing and became unresponsive. Sally fired only for the terrorist to dodge it and fire a laser from both his wrists and the blasts destroyed Eggman and Sally's guns. They dropped them in shock.

The four soldiers charged at their old enemy and the terrorist leader was waiting for them. He blocked and dodged their attacks with ease, but they dodged and blocked his attacks with just the same amount of precision. Lee jumped up to punch him Anonymous grabbed him and swung him down then up slamming him into Deen. Alber tripped the terrorist and the man laid down as Nike threw a fist at him. The man grabbed the fist pulled Nike down next to him and elbowed his jaw. Alber saw what he was doing and tried stomping on him to stop him, but it was too late. Anonymous flipped over Nike pulled him up to the terrorist's legs then kicked him off and into Alber knocking them both down.

Lee came up and swung a punch behind the foe, but he only, without looking, turned his body, caught the fist, and then twisted it around behind Lee's back before kicking him away. Deen threw a bomb in the air, whipped out his pistol, and fired. The explosion engulfed the enemy, but a claw came out and pulled Deen in.

Anoynmous came out attacking Deen. He punched him up, kicked him in the gut, punched him on the side of the face to make him spin around, and then Anonymous turned leaned back grabbed Deen under the chin pulling him onto his back and then threw him down on top of Alber who jumped at him.

Sonic watched with Shadow intreaged. Just like the rest of the group they figured since those four fought Anonymous before they should have full reign to do so now. Amy, Knuckles, and Rouge, however, did not seem to agree to the silent knowledge. Nike got behind the terrorist and grabbed him locking him in. As Lee was about to pounce on the temporarily stuck terrorist. Amy came screaming a battle cry and swung her hammer. It struck Anonymous in the belly and sent him and Nike, who was still holding the villain, into the base. Nike let go from the sudden attack allowing Anonymous an advantage which he took. He elbowed Nike in the ribs and as he leaned in from the blow Anonymous grabbed his head behind him and flung him right at Lee who ran at them.

Lee and Nike fell in a heap and Rouge came charging at him. Anonymous jumped up and grabbed Rouge pulling her down. Knuckles came up to them but as the landed Anonymous threw a kick pelting Knuckle through the air and ramming into Omega who was trying to aim at the terrorist.

Alber tried to punch Anonymous, but the terrorist threw Rouge in front of it. Alber stopped the attack only for the villain to swing and kick her away. The villain then tossed the bat in the air grabbed her foot and slammed her onto the ground.

Amy charged and swung her hammer again. However, Anonymous caught it and looked at the pink hedgehog. Amy tried pulling away, but he was too strong. He kicked Amy in the gut causing her to let go of her weapon. He then swung it around and struck the hedgehog. She flew off and only stopped when Lee caught her and placed her down "Stay back! The four of us have fought him before and can take him, even without Ralph!"

The four soon came up and Anonymous threw the hammer away. Alber and Nike attacked. Anonymous grabbed them both and kicked them to the side. Lee flipped over and spun around with a kick while Deen charged with a punch. The foe only raised an arm behind him blocking the fist, twisting his arm to grab the leg, blocked the fist coming at him, and then swung Lee round and onto Deen.

Alber jumped up and attacked with a kick. Anonymous grabbed it, but Alber jumped up and kicked him away. Nike elbowed the terrorist sending him flying at Lee who clasped both hands together and swung up to strike sending him against the Base's wall. Lee charged with the rest as Anonymous quickly got off the wall.

Suddenly all five of them became a swirl of blurriness and no one but Sonic and Shadow could see what was going on since they moved so fast.

Nike attacked, Anonymous blocked, twisted, kicked him away, leapt up off his one leg, spun around and kicked Deen off the ground. Lee and Alber charged and Anonymous landed ducking a kick and stood to throw Lee off balance. Alber sucesffuly punched him, but the terrorist quickly grabbed the fist as he was thrown back, spun around and backed up to ram her into the base wall. Nike, Lee, and Deen charged. Anonymous leapt up and kicked Deen away while grabbing Lee and spinning down to smash him onto the ground before jumping up and then falling on his back to dodge a punch. Lying down he kicked Nike in the groin sending him up and crashing into the base.

Anonymous quickly stood and was kicked in the back by Alber. Deen swiftly jumped and kicked him off at Lee who bent down, grabbed Anonymous' ankles and threw him at Nike who jumped up and punched the terrorist down smashing into the ground. The four jumped side by side as the terrorist slowly sat up covered in rocks and dust.

Sonic began clapping enthusiastically "Wow. Why'd it take you so long?"

Alber glared at him "Anonymous is the only one who wears the fastest, strongest armor than even his men. We were fighting someone faster and stronger Sonic."

The hero only shrugged.

"You four made a mistake though." A monotone spoke up.

The four soldiers looked at the villain who now pulled himself against the base in a sitting position.

Nike threw his arms out like a shrug "What are you talking about. We took you down. How that feel?"

Anonymous did not respond to that "Who's armor are you wearing?"

The four froze as realization hit them. They tried pouncing on him, but the terrorist was too swift. He pressed a button on his arm pad and the four came crashing down unmoving. The villain stood and walked over their bodies. They forgot they lost their old armor and Anonymous gave them a stronger one, but it was still Anonymous' and Anonymous made sure he was able to turn off anyone's armor if they have his that he gave them.

Sonic, Shadow, and Blaze stood side by side ready to fight. Sonic charged, but suddenly a force-field came up and bounced the hedgehog to the ground. Sonic looked up in shock "Wha-?"

"I have my armor looking for super speed hedgehog. If anything moves faster than my armor then a force-field comes up protecting me. In order to fight me, you need to be slower than or just as fast as me."

Sonic bounced up and threw a punch. Anonymous caught it, punched Sonic in the ribs, then the face, brought him down to a knee and kicked him away. The hedgehog continued to roll and stop next to Blaze and Shadow who looked at him in wonder. The hedgehog stood and turned holding his side "Gek… no fair."

"You are fast Sonic and you are able to slow down. However, you may be at my speed, but you lack my training."

Sonic and Shadow charged while Blaze fired her powers at him. The flames engulfed him but he still caught the fists by crossing his arms and catching them. He quickly threw his arms out smacking Sonic and Shadow into the other and then threw a kick slamming them aside.

Blaze fired at him once more. Anonymous suddenly fired a blue beam that the fire from Blaze was suddenly absorbed into and the beam struck Blaze sending her to the ground. She went up to her knees clutching her arms in a hug as she began to shiver "Wh-wh-wh-ha-hat?" She chattered.

Anonymous walked up to her "Hypothermal beam. Cold absorbs heat. So I just drained all the heat from you. Until you regain your normal body temperature, you cannot use your powers."

There was a sudden boom and Shadow bounced off the force-field. He rolled on his back and up of his feet. He charged the villain but the terrorist leader was now prepared. He grabbed a fist thrown at him and twisted it round. Shadow was turned around but he leapt back and pushed the foe. Anonymous dropped Shadow for him to drop down and swing his legs out. Anonymous jumped and landed on Shadow's legs and then kicked him in the jaw sending him skidding away.

Sonic came pelting forward only to hit the force-field and as he stumbled back Anonymous kicked him away. Sonic fell on his back and the villain stood above him with a raised fist. There was a sudden cry and Amy threw he hammer at him. The terrorist caught the hammer and swung it around to strike Rouge and make her fly off into Omega. Omega caught her and fired missiles at him. Anonymous quickly press a button on his arm pad and the missiles suddenly turned around and flew after Omega. The robot spotted this and blasted off to try and out maneuver them.

Sally jumped onto Anonymous' back buck the terrorist grabbed her head, pulled her down, tossed her up, and swung the hammer and smashed the princess into a tree.

Shadow stood and glared at Anonymous "One reason I did use my full power was so no one could study me like you did."

Anonymous looked at him carefully. Shadow suddenly pulled off his golden rings and he dashed at Anonymous in a golden blast. Though the force-field stopped him from receiving too much damage the terrorist was sent flying into the base behind him. Shadow then shouted "CHAOS SPEARS!" and glowing spears came hurtling toward Anonymous. The villain jumped up and dodged them, but Shadow came and smashed into the force-field again. Anonymous was expecting that though. Just he was about to hit Anonymous fired the blue laser he used on blaze and struck Shadow. The Hedgehog bounced off the shield and rolled on the ground. He got up on a knee and began vigorously vibrating into a blur. He stopped as he warmed up and spun around to attack, but he was too late. Anonymous punched him in the face then spun around away from him and tossed the hammer at him. They collided and the hedgehog was slammed into the side of the crater.

Anonymous quickly ducked and elbowed Sonic behind him before twisting around and slamming the hero's face into the ground.

Eggman came up and grabbed the villain, but he went up, threw them man on the ground below him, and kicked him off to the side.

Anonymous turned and grabbed Knuckles and twisted him around and locked his arm behind his back. "CHAOS SPEAR!" Shadow threw another round of spears at the villain. Anonymous flung Knuckles up at the spears taking all the hits. The echidna fell down unconscious. Shadow charged and rammed into the force-field, but Anonymous jumped in a way where he could be suddenly propelled into the air and smash Omega. This stopped the robot and the villain kicked him at the missiles still come at him while pulling Rouge out of its grip. The missile struck and Anonymous landed holding a struggling bat. He swung her around and smacked Shadow who did not charge so as to not hurt Rouge. The villain then tossed the bat and smashed her into Shadow sending them crashing into crater walls.

Anonymous turned and kicked Sonic in the face causing him to turn around. He kicked him right in the knee causing him to land on the knee and then kicked off right into Shadow who was getting out.

Sonic and Shadow both got up and charged at the villain. The terrorist jumped into the air smashed the two heads together landed behind them and punched their heads sending them crashing into the ground bellow.

Silver was back up and pushed himself up and was just about to attack when everyone stopped because of the clapping they heard. Tails the fox stood on the top of his base behind some railings next to his two robots Phi and Alpha One "Well done Anonymous. Well done. You clearly are an enemy worth noting. The king was such an imbecile for ignoring you. Firing Ralph might as well have made the king sign the death certificate of the planet. Not even Sonic and co could fight him equally. What a shame." The fox smiled mockingly down at them.

Sonic looked at his old buddy "New gear I see."

Tails grabbed the coat he was wearing "This? Well. I do like my taste of black coats. Especially when they make me as strong and fast as my own robots."

Sonic was not going to doubt that "Tails you don't have to do this."

The fox looked around as if confused "What? This?" Tails jumped up and hit a button.

Blaze, who was almost warm again stood "NO!"

A white light surrounded them all and then blasted off and vaporized the trees. It kept going and going and suddenly disappeared. Only rock and metal was left around them. Sonic look appauled around him. They were too late "You… you."

"KILLED EVERYONE!" Blaze roared at the fox in tears.

Tails rolled his eyes "You'll learn to get over it."

Blaze knew exactly what the fox was talking about as she stood, tears flooding her cheeks "You-you… you DISGUSTING ANIMAL! I WOULD RATHER DIE THAN BE WITH YOU!"

Tails shrugged "Like I was going to give you a choice."

Sonic shook his head "This doesn't make sense. You're a good guy. You would never do this. You wanted to catch Blaze's attention not just take her like some… possession."

Tails growled "Will you stop SAYING I'M SOMEONE I'M NOT. IT'S ANNOYING!"

"Sonic." A feeble voice said. The hedgehog turned to see Eggman "I-I'm sorry. That was my bad news. Tails isn't good. He's evil."

Sonic could not believe what he was hearing "What?"

Eggman shook his head "I don't know how it happened but-."

BLAM!

Sudden silence. A gunshot had suddenly erupted through the air and shattered all the air around them. Everyone looked at each other, but a quivering, scared, and pleading voice rattled Sonic to the core "S-S-S-S…Sonic."Sonic spun up and looked at Tails. The fox was holding his side… where he had been shot. Tears streamed down his face as the fox looked at the hero pleading "H-h… help." The fox suddenly fell to the floor and everyone watched as his hand limply rested over the side of his base between the railings. The two robots who watched their master in horror grabbed at his body "MASTER!"

"TAILS!" Sonic's shout blasted through the air louder than the gun shot.
