Tails' robot has finally exploded and fallen into the ocean to rust. The fox goes to his new home so he can live a happier life, or so thought. No one is willing to accept the world's most dangerous criminal. Two years latter someone is back. And yet his name is still the Mysterious Villain. Has Tails gone back to the dark side? (Sequel to Sonic's Two Tailed Mistake)

28. Chapter 27

Chapter 27

The very next day everything seemed to brighten up for the world. There were no oppressing robots, no more destruction, and no more threats. Some of group was sent out to find other survivors and direct them to the castle. Those who left to search were Sonic, Shadow, Metal, The Babylon Rouges (now that Wave fixed their boards), and Omega. If any of them found survivors they were to contact Silver who would fly out to their location and pick all them up while those who found them left to find more. In a matter of hours there were millions of survivors at the castle.

Blaze stayed and enlisted the help of the rest to keep order there; Amy, Sally, Knuckles, and Rouge were there for transport. Eggman was with Anonymous and Seven drawing up plans to rebuild the kingdom. Ralph, Lee, Alber, Nike, Deen, and the army of terrorists were the protection detail. The Coconut Crew were the cooks, much to the disapproval of Marine. Cream and Cheese were left with tending to Miles 'Tails' Prower who was still unconscious. Cream held no issue with this task and quickly looked after the fox. They would have used the chaos emeralds to heal the fox, but they do not know what happened to them after Tails turned back to normal. Eggman suspects Tails still has them but is not sure on how to get them back.

A weak went by and Eggman alongside Anonymous created a satellite to detect any survivors. Metal, Seven, and Omega carried it to space and activated it. They found the remaining citizens and Blaze ordered everyone at the castle to pack up and march to their relocation area. Anonymous sent some of his men with each group to ensure security. Those men were ordered not to return until the entire group had a stable organization.

Tails even grew stronger and was now conscious most of the time. Though in much pain Cream and Cheese were there to sooth him and even entertain him. He would get others visiting him and ask him how he was doing. The fox could hardly look at any of them in shame of what he almost did. He was even breathless when Blaze came in and asked about him. The cat knew he would be confused about her appearance and decided not to remain long.

A week later and every survivor group sent out were in their home area. Eggman and Anonymous created an army of robots that looked like the terrorists so everyone would think they were living beings. That army, Seven, Sonic, Shadow, Silver, Knuckles, Metal, Omega, and Blazer in her super form went throughout the entire planet fixing every building and city. In a matter of weeks every city and building was back up and everyone was back home. Businesses started back up and Blaze the cat returned to her castle to resume her reign.

Tails was relocated to a hospital where he was given multiple casts and pain medication. The doctors were impressed that the fox's bones were healing much faster than they thought his condition would be. Sonic got around to asking the fox about the chaos emeralds. The fox was surprised he did not have them. The fox then figured out what happened. He still had them. The blue hedgehog came back with the special suitcase to hold them and Tails gave them to him. The hero offered to heal Tails with the emeralds but the fox refused.

The very next day everything on the planet was back to functioning order. Blaze held feast for Sonic and his friends for their efforts and heroism. They spent that entire day eating, talking, and laughing (except for Anonymous since he does not show emotion). That day went by and the whole group was ready to go back home.

Tails had his whole head wrapped in bandages except for the ears that poke out, one arm in a sling, sitting in a wheelchair, and one tail in a cast while the others were saying goodbye to Blaze. Sonic stepped up and shook her hand "It was nice meeting you Blaze."

The cat smiled toward him "It was nice to work with you too, Sonic. Take my regards to Tails for me."

"Why? Come on, he's right over there." Sonic pulled her arm toward the fox.

Blaze did not fight much but she was blushing at this movement "I-I thought the fox- Tails- would not like me to be around him."

"Nah! He won't mind. He'll be nervous, sure, but he'd be nervous around anyone at this time. Hey, Tails! I have someone here who wants to talk to you!"

The fox turned and his eyes widened "B-Blaze? What?"

The hero pushed the cat forward and began to walk off "I'll leave you two alone. HEY RALPH!" He ran off toward Ralph and his old friends.

Blaze watched the hedgehog leave before turning to look at Tails nervously "Erm… I just wanted wish you well when you return home."

Tails blinked and flustered "The-thanks… did… something happen?"

"What do you mean?"

"It's just… well… This is the first time you're… not… using a, uh, hostile voice with me."

The cat smiled and crossed her arms "Yes, I realize that. I also wish to… ask you for forgiveness for treating you like that."

It-its okay Blaze. I understand why you did."

"That may be so… but I am the one that understands why you did it too."

"What?" the fox looked confused.

"Sonic told me the whole story. The part I was never told of… I'm sorry to hear what happened to you. Sonic really regrets it."

The fox closed his eyes and lowered his ears "I know… I've already forgive him. He just needs to forgive himself now."

"Sounds like you need to do the same."

The fox opened his eyes "Huh?"

Blaze knelt down so she could look at him eye to eye "You're not forgiving yourself either. Here you are, blaming yourself for actions that are now gone. You've changed, Tails. For the best. You don't need to allow others to condemn you for something that is now gone." She lifted a hand "Friends?"

The fox blinked but smiled meekly and took her hand "Friends."

"I'm not sure if Sonic told you."

"What?"

"Sonic told me about… your feelings."

The fox stiffened, ears shot up, and eyes widened. His whole face was growing bright red "I-uh-err. Well… I…" Tails buried his head in his only useable hand.

Blaze smiled at this display. She then cleared her throat and forced her smile away "I'll let you know that I was surprised to hear that."

"I'm sorry." The fox mumbled in his hand.

"Why? I'm not blaming you."

"It's just that-. It's just unacceptable. You're a princess and I'm just… a… you know."

The cat cocked a brow "That is hardly true. Out of everyone here you suffered the most. You nearly lost your mind just to defeat your own robots. That makes you a hero."

The fox looked through his fingers "but the princess thing."

"I'm not sure about your world, but I can choose who I want to be with or not. However, I'm not ready to be in a relationship."

"Then what was the point in telling me about all that?"

"You need to learn that if you want to be in a relationship you need to understand titles are just titles. If they're right for you then go for it… not me though. As I said I'm not looking for one."

The fox nodded and looked at her and whispered "I'm still embarrassed."

Blaze laughed at that. She patted his head "I'm sure. Here, I'll leave you alone. By the way." Tails looked up at her "You could try Wave." She turned to walk away with a smile.

"Sonic told you about that didn't he!" The fox shouted at her.

The princess's smiled widened more "Yep!"

Eggman walked up with a device "All right! Everyone ready?"

Everyone nodded "Okay, to the Eggcarrier."

The ship flew over their heads and landed nearby. Its side opened up and everyone began to walk in. Tails was helped forward by Cream while Cheese played with his head. Ever since she was given the task to help Tails she has never left his side. Everyone suspects it's because this is her way of redemption with him. Suddenly Marine popped right in front of the fox. Tails blinked and looked at her "Uh… hi?"

She suddenly lurched forward grabbed some of his fur, cutted it off with some scissors, and ran off yelling to her crew "I got some of them gold!"

Blaze marched up "Hey! Cut that out!"

Sonic chuckled "She did. She cut that out of Tails." Sonic, Silver, Silver, Seven, Lee, Deen, and Nike began to laugh hysterically.

Blaze grumbled "I've been trying to keep her away ever since we brought Tails to the castle. Kept trying to take some of his fur for some reason."

Shadow looked at Tails "Do you know why?"

The fox raised his arm "I don't know. I'm guessing we've met while I was under the nanites control. If so I won't remember."

"Then you do not recollect me telling you who I really am." Anonymous spoke up."

Ralph shot him a look "WHAT?!"

The fox blinked "What? I don't remember that."

Ralph looked at his old nemesis "Why did you tell him that?"

"In his evil self he told me he would not partner up with me unless I told him."

"Why didn't you lie? I figured you would lie to those you do not respect."

"I respected the Mysterious Villain, but that respect was his power not who he was."

Rouge came up and pointed at the fox "But he IS the Mysterious Villain!"

The terrorist looked at her "The Mysterious Villain and Tails are separate people. If Tails was indeed the Mysterious villain why did he need nanites to act like him?"

"He-!"

"Knock it off, Rouge!" Shadow interrupted.

Cream quickly pushed Tails into the Eggcarrier. "Sorry about that Mister Tails."

The fox titled his head to the side "'Mister Tails'?"

The rabbit looked at him innocently "It's respectful to call someone 'mister' or 'misses'."

"Y-you can just call me Tails."

"Okay, Mister Tails… I mean Tails."

The fox smiled at her "It's going to take you a while, isn't it?"

The rabbit began drawing circles on the floor with her foot "Maybe."

The rest of the group began to climb onboard and to everyone's surprise Blaze walked in too. Eggman turned in his seat to stare at her "Did you need something your highness?"

"I'm only following you to see you off. When you get to your world I'll come back to mine."

Eggman nodded and turned back to the front "Alright. Start the engines!"

The whole ship began to shake and then took off into the sky. The doctor then began to press multiple buttons. The whole group watched the screens as they began to climb into the clouds and zoom forward. The doctor then pressed the speaker button and boomed out "Traveling the multiverse in five!... Four!... Three!... Two!... One!... Zero!" The whole ship began to shake and a portal appeared right in front of them. The ship flew right through it. The carrier shook violently almost as if they were in a storm. A few seconds later it stopped. Everyone looked at the screen to see that they were home again.

The whole ship erupted with cheers, and then everyone froze as they continued to watch. Eggman stood up as he looked at the screen "What?" The entire Acorn army was standing there aiming their weapons right at the Eggcarrier. Eggman panicked and began to press buttons "WHAT IS GOING ON! SALLY, GET UP HERE!"

The chipmunk came running up "What is the army doing?"

"No idea, but we need to contact them and tell them not to fire!" Eggman flipped a switch "I just activated my screening. Press this button and speak. They'll see you and hopefully not fire."

Sally rushed to the button and pressed it "This is Princess Sally; do not shoot at the Eggcarrier. We're landing." She let go of the button and pointed at Eggman. The doctor pulled a lever and the ship descended in front of the army.

Sonic stared at the screen in disbelief "Why are they here?"

Someone tapped his shoulder and he turned. Jet the hawk and the other two rouges stood there looking guilty "I'm sorry Sonic… I just remembered. When we came back to this world we went directly to the king. We told him about what Tails did at that castle. We thought it best to warn Mobius." He quickly raised his arms and continued quickly "This was before we found everything telling us that this was a part of his plan. We went to the king telling him that we were wrong and that the fox faked it with a plan but he didn't listen. Had us arrested for somehow being corrupted by the fox. We had to escape the prison and go back to where you were. We talked about going to the Eggcarrier, but decided to go to the location Tails told us to go. We waited and even watched the robots build their base. Spent most the time trying to avoid them until- you know what. That doesn't matter. What does is we forgot to tell you we told the king Tails was evil the whole time. The army was prepared because they thought Tails would attack."

Sonic patted his shoulder "Its fine. We'll deal with this." He walked away.

The ship landed and everyone began to get ready to get off and face the army. Tails grabbed Sonic "S-Sonic, what's going on?"

"We'll deal with it. Just stay here."

The fox blinked. Cream pushed him forward "What's going on?" She asked.

Tails shrugged "I don't know."

The small side door opened and Sonic, Sally, Eggman, Ralph, Jet, and Anonymous walked out. There in front of the army stood the king, Antoine, and Bunnie. Sonic waved at them "Hey Ant, Bun, King. Something wrong?"

Antoine pointed his sword at them "Where is ze fox?"

"Why?"

Bunnie pointed "There!"

Everyone turned to see Tails in the doorway with Cream right behind him and Cheese on his head. Tails turned and whispered "Cream. Take Cheese and go inside. I'll deal with this." Cream grabbed Cheese and ran off. Tails then pushed the wheels and came forward. Sonic grabbed one of the handles and the fox looked at everyone "What do you want?"

The king crossed his arms "You are coming with us!"

Eggman stepped forward "And what makes you say that?"

"You think we haven't heard about what he's done in that dimension? He's still evil and that proves it. He'll be coming with us to face sentencing."

Jet stepped forward "We told you we were wrong! What's wrong with you?! Tails is not evil!"

The king pointed at them "You say after you open that case! How do I know if that case did not do anything to you?"

Tails butted it "Why would I send them back here for them to tell you only to have them mind controlled into trying to convince you that I wasn't evil."

The king scoffed "Maybe they were supposed to be 'mind controlled' but failed to do so till late."

Sally indicated to the more recently married couple "Ant, Bunnie. Can't you see that this doesn't make sense?"

Ant turned to look at his wife and she looked at him. They turned back and the coyote faced her "Sorry Princess. We ave our orders."

"But this is ridiculous!"

"Your highness." The king looked to see who spoke and backed away instantly. Anonymous began to step down "You are so blind to your bias you will not even attempt to understand the situation. The fox pretended to convert back to his evil ways then betrayed them resulting in catastrophic injuries. Can you not see that he requires a wheelchair now?"

Tails shifted in his seat uncomfortable. Bunnie shifted herself "He as ah point your highness."

The king sneered "you would stand there next to your supposable nemesis, Ralph?"

The dog huffed "You actually know of Anonymous? I feel so recognized. Why should you care anyways? He came to that universe to help us. Without him we would not be done so quickly."

"But he's a terrorist! And so is that FOX!"

"Then they can form a club."

"Arrest the fox!"

Sonic stepped in front of Tails "No you're not!"

Tails grabbed Sonic's arm "S-Sonic. Just let me go. It'll end this."

"No! We'll end this another way!" Blaze stormed past Tails and right toward the king.

Antoine and Bunnie stepped in front of the king "Who are you?"

"I am Blaze the cat! Princess of the dimension they just came from!" She went right up to the king and shoved the other two away "And guess what. Whatever the fox did in MY universe is under MY jurisdiction! You have NO authority there. Therefore you can DROP your pathetic CHARGES for what he did there because I hold no charges for him there, THEREFORE you cannot hold that against him! Understood?! Good!" Not even waiting for a response the cat turned on her heels and marched back to the ship.

The king smiled and stepped forward "He's not under arrest for that 'your highness.'"

Blaze turned around "What?"

"Sonic, remember what I called you about before that Grand Prix?"

"You told me to remove Tails from the race and replace him with someone more trustable." Sonic responded.

"So you are the real Sonic. Don't think I don't know about that convincing fake Sally that fox made."

Tails looked at Sonic "He called?"

The hero fumbled for words "Uh… yah, but… I just didn't want you to hear about that. You don't need any more of that."

Blaze rounded on the king "What does that have anything to do with Tails' arrest?!"

"That day during the Grand Prix one of his robots attacked. On MY turf, CAT! No way out of that!"

Wave suddenly came up "Yes there is! That robot was after me because I insulted Tails!"

"How does that help the fox?" The king demanded.

"Tails saved my life from it."

"So! That is to avoid suspicion."

Sonic pointed at the king "One flaw with that, your highness! That was a new version of them. A 4.0. Every attempt we made to destroy it failed. We could not defeat it and Tails had to tell us how to do it. He even stopped it from its attack until your army attacked provoking it back into an attacking mood."

The king growled and threw his arms out "It doesn't MATTER! He's still under arrest for even appearing to 'convert' back to his evil self!"

"You move toward the fox and you will have declared war against me and my men." The king froze and looked at Anonymous who only glared at him under that mask.

"I thought we were already at war?"

"No, we are at a disagreement of which places us on opposite sides with little conflict. If you declare war it will be all out conflict."

"I hardly see how difficult you could possibly be if five of my men could defeat you and your army."

Sonic stepped up again "Strange how those five can fight him and yet when me and my friends try he throws us around like ragdolls!"

Anonymous grabbed Sonic and pulled him back "He dares to defy me Sonic. He shall learn that was unwise." He lifted a hand and snapped his fingers.

The Eggcarrier shook and the large doors open and loud footsteps could be heard. The king backed up quickly as he stared at Anonymous' army as they marched out with their weapons raised. In front were Metal, Omega, Lee, Alber, Deen, and Nike. The army then stopped and stared at the Acorn army. Eggman looked at anonymous "How did you take control over my ship?"

Anonymous ignored him and pointed at the king "Say the word and war shall begin."

Blaze then stormed up "Not to mention I can bring my army here and you declared war on my world!"

Sonic then got into a fighting stance "And us!"

The king recognized the four in front of the army "You work of the kingdom! You swore your allegiance! You dare turn on it!?"

Alber spoke "We swore allegiance to the kingdom! Not you! You're about to go against your own law to arrest the fox proving to be innocent. Therefore YOU just went against the kingdom and now against US!"

The king mumbled to himself. Bunnie now turned to him "Your highness? Ah… Ah don't really understan' why we're tryin' to arrest the fox. It- it looks like he's on our side."

The king glared at her "He's not!"

Eggman growled "Based on what?"

"WHAT HE DID IN THE PAST!"

"LOOK AT HIM NOW!" Eggman roared. Everyone looked at the fox. Sitting in the wheelchair, arm in a sling, tail in a cast, and his head wrapped in bandages the fox looked on everyone with tears in his eyes. "HE GOT LIKE THAT BECAUSE HIS OWN ROBOTS AND YOU DARE CONDEM HIM FOR THE FACT HIS ROBOTS STILL EXSIST!?"

Antoine turned to the king "If ze fox was our enemy then why is he injur'd like so?"

"Because Sonic would do that and now-!"

"Why would ze hedgehog do zat to him?! He continue'd to defend ze fox, even doing ze bragging of him! Ze hedgehog was too attached to preform such brutality!"

"Well-!"

"Your highness, we ain't gonna arrest the little fox if there is no reason to." Bunnie interrupted.

The king looked around hopefully, but Sally got his attention "Your looking like the villain father."

The king mumbled but then raised his arm "Lower your weapons!" His army then obeyed.

Anonymous waved his arm and his army lowered their weapons. Cream then came running out and grabbed Tails' chair "Shall we go?"

Tails looked at her then Sonic. The hedgehog smiled and nodded "Let's go." Sonic walked in front if the fox and Tails looked at everyone as he was pushed along, intimidated.

The army parted as he came up and he looked at Antoine and Bunnie as he passed. Not the usual spite he was use to, but now uncertainty. The whole army was just the same, unsure. The fox continued on toward home.

A day later and the news had their headline: "Tails the Fox: Hero?"

Tails just stared at this title in shock. Were people really starting to see him as a hero? "Here is footage of the king attempting to arrest the fox in question for his robots attempting to destroy another universe, but just like his last attempt it was foiled by Doctor Eggman, Princess Sally, Sonic the Hedgehog, and a new comer Princess Blaze of the other dimension. They showed the fox injured from his very own robots after going with the group to stop them. This falls in agreement with Princess Sally's statement that the robots mistreated their own master. Bringing to question, was the fox a victim like everyone else forced to create his supposable weapons of mass destruction? Many individuals are pining for resources to solve this conundrum."

The fox could not believe what he was hearing, then Sonic busted through the door with papers in hand "Tails! You won't believe this!" He flew over the couch and landed right in front of the TV "Your popularity… its rising!"

"What?" He lifted an arm to take the papers for a look.

Sonic did not hand it to him though "You know when we came back. The king did not realize that news were hiding around. They heard everything. Including the part where your robot has attacked you. Combine this with what Sally said at your trial people are wondering if you were good the whole time and the robots kept you prisoner."

"Yah, but-."

"No wait, there's more! They found out about that fake yet convincing Sally! There are theorists suspecting that the person they actually saw was a fake you! People are second guessing you!"

"But none of it is true!"

"To a certain extent, but why should that matter? Tails! They're finally seeing you for who you actually are! Who cares that their details are wrong, they finally are seeing you as a hero!"

Tails twitched but a smile began to form "They-they do?"

Sonic handed him the papers "They did a survey! That was last year! The next one is now!"

Tails took them and looked. Last year had a ninety-nine percent dislike. Now… fifty-five percent unsure, thirty-one percent like, and fifteen percent dislike! Tails looked at Sonic speechless. Sonic had a smile plastered on his face "Tails… you're a hero… officially! Everyone is starting to agree with that!"

A knock was heard at the door and Sonic walked off excited. Tails watched him go and after he left the room the fox pushed himself up and grabbed his crutches. He was tired of having to be pushed on a wheelchair. He was okay with risking crutches, even with a bad arm. He went up to the TV and turned it off "Hey Tails! We have some guests!"

Tails turned to look at the hallway and followed the voice there. "Coming!" It might be Silver there to say goodbye and was going to the future now.

He came into the hallway panting. It hurt so much for him to move, but he dreaded going back into that wheelchair "Who is it?" He looked up at the door to see… Antoine and Bunnie.

The rabbit held the coyote's arm and waved at the fox with a smile "How ya feeling honey?"

Tails fumbled a bit nervously "O-okay."

Sonic stood next to them holding the door open "They came to talk to you bud."

Tails nodded and nodded over to the living room from where he just exited "Did- did you want to come in and sit?"

Bunnie bowed her head "Sure. Antoine?"

The coyote grimaced in uncertainty but nodded "Oui."

They came in and sat on one of the couches. Tails came limping in and sat on the couch in front of them with a small grunt. Bunnie looked worried "Does that hurt?"

The fox looked at the floor "A little."

Sonic slid behind Tails "His bones are still not properly healed. The doctors recommended that he remained in the wheelchair for a weak before moving to crutches even if he was healing unnaturally fast for a fox. He wanted to get on the crutches now though as you can see."

Antoine looked around the house as he spoke "Was et zat bad?"

"Every bone in his body was cracked Ant." Sonic replied.

The coyote shot a look at Tails in shock "Really?!"

Tails looked away "I-it was nothing. Still alive aren't I?"

Sonic plopped right next to the fox "The only reason you're alive is because Anonymous used his tech to save you and fake your death."

Antoine's eyes widened "The robots thought they killed you?"

The fox blushed "Y-yah."

Antoine smacked his head "Holly frijoles."

"Was that English?" Sonic grinned

Bunnie giggled "He says stuff like that when he's surprised. Besides we came to talk about the news."

"What about it?"

"We know 'bout the fakes Tails here was able tah make but we know the one Tails we saw was real."

Tails covered his face. "Y-yah."

"So you admit zis." Antoine looked at the fox.

"Yah." The fox nodded. "I… Forget it."

Bunnie leaned in "What really happen'd? What caused your bones tah break, hun?"

Tails sniffed and told them the truth. About the program he installed and his near suicide. Antoine and Bunnie sat back and listened. Their expressions hard to read. Tails looked away from them when he ended.

Antoine sighed "I knew it. Zose robots of yours would never harm you."

Tails nodded "They thought I was under Sonic's control. Alpha One even threatened to kill Sonic for it."

Antoine jumped "Ze Alpha One?! I thought zat miscreant was destroyed!"

Tails smiled "Well… now he is. I made sure of it, along with Destructor."

Bunnie's face faded "That thing?"

Sonic shrugged "Turns out we never destroyed either of them. Had to fight them all over again, but this time they were upgraded. Destructor took down Knuckles, Shadow, Silver, Blaze, and even me in our super forms. I had to give Tails my power to stop him. Brainiac here-." He gently rustled the fox's head. Tails playfully swatted his hand away "Had to pull out a stronger form to defeat it. Destroyed it all by himself and then took down Alpha 'Omega' One. That was his new name."

Bunnie nodded and smiled at Tails "It is nice tah know you're on our side, Tails."

The fox looked up at her with wide hopeful eyes "Y-you believe me?"

Bunnie nodded "Ah do. Antoine here was still unsure when we came ovah."

Antoine pulled at his coat nervously "Oui… but can you blame moah? I vill admit zoh. I was very skeptical of your guiltiness when I found out vaht zis hog did to you."

Sonic looked hurt "Hey."

Antoine ignored him and rose a hand to the fox "You shall see that I am convinced of your innocence."

Tails could not believe his ears. He grabbed Antoine's hand and shook it with a smile "Th-thank you."

Antoine smiled and nodded.

There was sudden clapping and everyone looked to see Silver standing there with a broad smile "Sorry, but I'm just so glad about everything happening for you Tails. People seeing you for who you are for once and now you're gaining new friends? This is great! Blaze would be so happy to hear this."

"Ze princess of zat dimension?"

"What? Oh, no. My… girlfriend in the future? Well friend anyway. I did ask her out though. HEY! I need to get back to her!"

Sonic narrowed his eyes in an annoyed gesture "Why such a rush? It's not like you're going to be late for your date. You're a time traveler."

Silver acted like he did not hear him. He zoomed forward and patted the fox's head "I'll be seeing you Tails, sonic, Ant, Bun-bun!"

Bunnie did a double-take "Bun-bun?"

Silver smiled sheepishly and waved "See yah latter maybe. I'll come back to visit sometime." Sonic tossed him a note. The grey hedgehog caught it, read it, and nodded "Yes I will! I'll make sure of it! Bye!" The hedgehog pulled out his chaos emerald and tossed it in the air "CHAOS CONTROL!" and in a flash he was gone.

The Future

Blaze the cat sat on the bench looking over the grass of Mobius. She sighed and watched as a colored leaf fell from a tree nearby. She watched it touch the ground and then suddenly in a flash there stood a panicked Silver "Blaze, I'm so sorry. Am I late?" At first she held a bewildered expression, but then keeled over laughing. Silver stepped back "Uhh… did I miss something?"

Blaze stood up and looked at her watch "How long have you been gone?"

"Err… Two months?"

The cat lowered her arm and came close to his face with a cocky smile "Really?"

Silver gulped "Uh… I think. I wasn't marking a calendar."

"Well to me you've been gone only a minute."

"What, really?"

Blaze laughed and pointed at a spot "I just said goodbye to you silly!"

Silver looked over at the spot then at her "Oh… oh yah! I time travel!... I forgot, hee-hee."

Blaze patted his head "It's oaky. Did you at least tell them goodbye before leaving?"

"Yah. I did. Visited Tails last… he was really injured."

"Cracked every bone on his body after a robot attacked him."

Silver blinked "Wait, how do you know that?"

She lifted a folder "I never told your younger self but I already knew about 'Crissis On Another Dimension'. Considering the misspelling, you wrote that."

Silver smiled sheepishly "Did they really keep that title."

"You're an important person on that team. Of course they would."

"Then you know Tails had to fight Destructor all over again."

Blaze perked up "Yah, I know! What was it like? He had a second form. The Hyper Form. What did it look like?"

"Rainbowish."

"Oh, not that part. Him fighting the invincible robot by himself."

"I wasn't able to watch it; Destructor took out those of us in our super forms before Tails got to it." Blaze slouched and lowered her ears in disappointment "But…" Her ears perked back up "I was told that it looked awesome! One punch sent it flying through the air!"

Blaze smiled and clapped her hands together "I wish I could have seen it."

Silver nodded and could not help but look at her up and down "You're nothing like the other Blaze."

The cat's brow rose at that "Yah, how was that princess?"

Silver froze "Oh… you know of her."

"Yah, we look alike, huh?"

"With noticeable differences."

"Like what?"

"You're an easy going person that people like fast and she was more uptight and personnel making her hard to like. She did start to change after a while though."

Blaze smiled and tugged on his arm "Come on."

"Where we going?"

"Where were you planning on taking me on our date?"

"Uhh… the carnival?"

Blaze looked at him in surprise "The carnival?"

"Too strange?"

Blaze smiled and shook her head "No, but not many people think a carnival for a first date."

Silver shrugged "Well I do know you very well. Been friends for a long while. So I know you like carnivals."

Blaze smiled warmly and grabbed his arm as he walked off with her "Yah. Well. Hard not to know someone very well when you live with them, huh?"

Christmas Day With Tails

It has been a few months and Tails fully came back to full health. Bones as strong as ever. When he would go on the streets he would still get looks but most of them were not stern glares, but almost as if they were on the verge of wanting to talk to him in a friendlier manner.

Tails, right now, however was being dragged by Sonic to an apartment building "B-but Sonic! I-I don't want to be a bother."

"Good, then you won't be."

"But-."

Sonic spun around and grabbed him by the shoulder "Tails bud. Everyone who was a part of the Crissis On Another Dimension is invited to this party. That includes you. Besides, I was told that if you didn't show up they would not start the party, and if you know Bunnie, she'll keep to her word. She'll wait till spring for Christmas if she has to. She hosts it so she decides it. Antoine would just not argue with her."

Tails nodded nervously "Okay… I'm ready then." Sonic nodded and walked into the building, Tails right behind him.

They came up to a door and knocked. The door opened and someone dove forward for a hug. But it was not Amy. Cream grabbed tails and hugged him "Tails! I was worried you wouldn't come!"

Tails gently patted her back uncomfortable "I'm here now."

The rabbit jumped back grabbed his hands and nearly pulled him in "Come on! Everyone is waiting."

They came into the D'Coolette living room and the whole room erupted into cheers of greetings and applause at the sight of Tails. Bunnie and Antoine came up and shook the fox's hand. Ralph, now in fully repaired and upgraded armor after Tails helped him, stood by his friends who did not wear armor now. Everyone could finally see who they were Lee was hedgehog, Nike was a wolf, Deen was a dog like Ralph, and Alber was surprisingly a white fox. Sally was speaking with Ralph and the others. Shadow nodded toward him with a faint smile. Knuckles stood in the corner staring at the fox and nodding toward him, his expression astonishingly less angry toward him. Amy and Rouge however still were giving him a death glare, the fact they are not saying anything told the fox that everyone threatened them not to. Omega looked like a robot standing in the middle of the room. And to the fox's ultimate surprise the Babylon Rouges waved at them. Sonic and Tails walked right over to them instantly "Wow, I thought you guys would be celebrating with low style."

Jet sneered "What does that mean? We would steal a diamond or something? You think so low of us thieves."

Sonic blinked but continued to smile "Right. What was I thinking?" Jet and the hedgehog just laughed at that.

Storm walked over and thunked Tails on the back "Good to see you!"

The fox stumbled forward a bit "Nice to see you too Storm."

"Careful, he's not as strong as you big guy." Wave said sitting on the couch with her legs propped up on the coffee table. "How you doin' Shorty?"

Tails shrugged "I'm doing fine. Just surprised you guys came here."

Jet crossed his arms "Well, we are your friends. Why would we miss this?"

Sonic crossed his arms "Friends huh?"

Jet pointed a finger at him "Don't start thinking hedgehog. After this we will go back to our original job."

"Is this like the Eggman thing where you guys act all bad but are actually just good guys now. We've 'converted you'." Sonic over dramatized the mood by placing his hand on his chest and the other's back hand placed on his forehead.

Jet swatted at him "Watch it wise guy."

Tails looked over at Wave "Well? Are you still doing thievery or… what Sonic said?"

She stared at the fox "You can hardly say you've converted us, fox-boy."

"Okay." He said disappointed.

Storm looked confused "I thought you talked about going around helping people now."

Jet and Wave leapt up and slapped the albatross shouting in unison "STORM!"

The bird covered his mouth "Oh, sorry boss."

Sonic was on the floor laughing and Tails looked at Wave with a smile "So you plan on becoming heroes?"

The swallow crossed her arms and looked away from the fox "Yah… well… being a hero was a bit more fun than being a thief. Jet wanted to give it a go."

Jet walked over to her and pointed "Don't go blaming this on me, it was your idea!"

Wave blushed "Shut-up!"

Sonic and Tails walked away and the hero nudged Tails "Told you she likes you."

"No, we're just mutual friends."

"Okay, sure." Sonic turned and walked over to Ralph and the others. The doors suddenly burst open and in came Doctor Eggman in a Santa costume and a Santa beard "Ho, ho, ho! Merry Christmas!"

Sonic stiffened "Santa?"

Eggman pointed at the beard "Happy, Sonic? Decided to wear this just to humor you."

Sonic walked up to him looking confused "What? But Santa… what are you talking about?" The hero walked up to the human and looked at him. Eggman was puzzled at this. Sonic then pulled on the beard and the fake beard came down to reveal the doctor's face and bushy mustache. Sonic screamed and let go of the mask allowing it to snap back and smack into Eggman's face. The blue hedgehog then fell on the floor in a fainting manner.

The whole room erupted into laughter and Eggman tore off the beard and glared at Sonic "Very funny, Sonic!" The hero sat up with a smile, but then was forced back down by Eggman's foot as he walked over him. "You have some interesting carpets Antoine. Quite live like."

Sonic tried to sit up again but Metal Sonic then walked over him saying "Where's Sonic?" then stepped off him.

Sonic rolled onto his side and rested his cheek on his arm with half closed eyes "Ha, ha, everyone, ha, ha." The whole room was laughing hysterically at this display.

The window then opened up and Silver came flying in "HARDY-HAR-HAR! Greetings from the future!"

Tails' ears perked up "Silver?"

The grey hedgehog bowed "Hi Tails!" He then turned and helped a lavender cat in.

The cat then shook herself off "Did we have to come in through the window Silver?"

Everyone blinked "Blaze?"

The cat looked at the group and waved "Uh, yah, but I'm from the future. Silver brought me here as his Christmas present. I've always wanted to meet the heroes of Mobius." They all came up and greeted her individually. She seemed so ecstatic to meet them some even mentioning her difference from the other Blaze.

"Is that what your Santa says in the future?" Rouge asked Silver.

Silver stood up "What? No."

"Then why the 'hardy-har'?"

"I'm not saying 'ho, ho, ho' that's an Eggman thing." Everyone bursted out laughing again.

Blaze shrugged "What? Did I miss something? Why is Sonic on the floor?"

There was a sudden knock at the door and the blue hero jumped up and grabbed the door "I got it… wait, who we missing?" He opened it and "Blaze?"

Blaze the cat, Princess of the Sol dimension bowed to Sonic "Greetings. Eggman contacted me and asked if I would join." She stood strait up with a gentle smile "Could I?"

Sonic stepped aside "Of course. Hey, Blaze! This is Blaze! Not to be confused with you, Blaze."

The princess walked in confused until she saw the other cat "Wow. You look a lot like me."

The future Blaze nodded to her "Same to you. Silver mentioned of you."

Ralph elbowed Silver "Was that a smart move?"

Silver shrugged "Apparently so. She already knew of her."

The princess cat looked at the other Blaze "You did?"

The response was a node "Yep. I've read up on Crissis On Another Dimension."

"Does it still have that extra 's'?"

"Yep."

The princess rolled her eyes "Of course it does."

The other Blaze giggled and pointed at her "She's not so bad. I kind of like her."

Silver spoke up as the princess looked over at him in a glare like way "I said she was very different not completely evil!"

"Evil?"

"No, I did not reference to you being evil! No way!"

The princess looked at the other Blaze "He has an open mouth that'll get him in danger."

"Yah, but he's my wide-mouth that always gets in danger. Should I mention that soda bottle you blew up?"

Silver blushed "No."

Eggman leaned over to him "Did you test out my soda bottle statement?"

"I was curious!"

"How was the experience?"

"Call the bomb squad if I do it again."

Tails walked over to Ralph "So I heard that you have been promoted to leader of this team now."

"Yah and my friends are actually joining it too. They want cool armor like mine though."

Lee lifted a finger "Yah, but make mine cooler."

"Or like a leech." Deen responded.

"Hey!"

"Leeeeeech!" Nike laughed.

"Oh, can I join?" Silver jumped over to them.

Lee tried to stop him "No, you can't-."

"Leeeeeeeeeeeeech."

"Oh brother."

Tails laughed and nodded to them "I'll make you guys armor. Trying to bring down Anonymous?"

Alber shrugged "Something tells me even with new armor he's still going to be hard."

Ralph sighed "Unfortunately. He is a master mind."

Tails nodded "You guys going out?"

Ralph stiffened up as Alber looked at him for his response "What? No –ek- not really- maybe- not at the moment."

Alber smiled and looked away shaking her head "Such a dummy." She took a sip of her drink "I have to do everything for you, dog?"

Ralph slouched over "Bark, bark."

Alber rolled her eyes "Whatever, smart alec. Dinner sounds nice."

"Yah, when is it served?"

She batted his arm "You know what I meant!"

Ralph laughed "I know, but I couldn't help myself… Monday?"

Alber shrugged "Suits me, boss."

Ralph stretched his arms up and faked yawned "All that stress of asking you out. Now I'm tired." He walked off.

Alber rolled her eyes again "Idiot. I did all the work."

Tails smiled "That's what you like most about him though."

"What? His annoying comebacks?"

"Yep."

"… Won't argue with that." She took another sip.

Sonic lifted his camera "Hey everyone! Group photo!" Everyone then crowded together for the photo, plenty of people chanting for Tails to be up front and in the center. Even after multiple refusals the fox was dragged to the front. He looked around at everyone. He was right next to Sonic to his right and to his left were Silver and his girlfriend. Behind him was Wave who he could tell was placing bunny ears over his head, but he did not care about that.

The camera flashed and their photo could be seen on screen. It held the whole group smiling for Christmas day. It held Tails smiling for a camera willingly for the first time.
