"It says turn left at the corner." I said looking down at my phone and then at the corner we were approaching.

"I can see it from here, why can't we just go this way?" Draco asked pointing down a small side street we had stopped at.

"I don't know, but it says to go this way."

"Let me have a look." He said taking the phone from my hand.

I glanced around. I had been checking every few steps if someone was following us, I noticed Draco doing it too. It was unnerving being on constant lookout again. After living in the woods for months with Harry, watching our backs, looking around every corner, constantly moving, I had thought I would be done with that now. I shifted my messenger bag from one shoulder to the next. In general the book, being only one, was not heavy, not A History of Magic heavy, but yet it feels like it weighs so much and literally the weight of it is resting upon my shoulders.

"Ok well I guess we should just trust whatever this is." He said, taking the bag from me and handing me back my phone.

"It's called Google Maps Draco, it is a phone app that can pinpoint your location and tell you how to get to a specific place."

"Right well, let's get on with it, I need breakfast." He said, glancing behind us once more and then taking my hand as we continued on our path towards the National Library.

We did not have a conversation about last night, or this morning when we woke to find that we had become closer throughout the night. There wasn't really a conversation to be had. We were both adults, are both in the same city for the summer, we needed comfort and intimacy and since we had reached a civil friendship I guess you could say, there was nothing morally wrong with turning towards each other. Plus with whatever dark mess lay ahead, it was nice to know there was someone on your team.

OOOOOOOOO

We made it to the library, still hadn't gotten breakfast, apparently priorities were: Step one: do evil wizard's errand. Step two: get breakfast.

"Ok well can we just give it to a lady at the desk?" I asked pointing towards the librarians. I looked around, had to admit this was a pretty spectacular place.

Hermione reached for her bag and took out the book, clutching it to her chest as though it was her favourite thing in the world. "I'm not sure, perhaps it is not in the system, maybe we should try and locate the shelf it came from." She said and walked towards a machine.

"And what is this?" I asked pressing the button with the letter H on it.

"It is a computer, that is a keyboard, you use them both to look up things or in our case search the library's database for information on this book."

"So instead of that dusty old book in the Hogwarts library, everything is on this machine and you just have to press these buttons to spell out a word?" This was the most fascinating thing I had ever learned about Muggles.

"Yes, and while I would love to show you more, I just want to get this book away from me, I feel like it possess some dark powers."

"Well, lucky for you, you have access to a human dark power detector." I picked up the book and held it up, waved it around, acted like a complete lunatic with it and yet my Dark Mark remained still and faded. "Nope, no dark magic within these pages."

"I found it! Ok let me just print this…" a little paper came out of the machine "…and then we go this way, Draco? Draco, come on, I'll explain it on the way." Hermione grabbed my arm and pulled me along after she realized I was staring at the little slit where the paper had come out of the machine.

OOOOOOOOOO

"We are looking for Z 890." I told Draco after we had gotten to the proper floor.

"Why? Napoleon starts with an N."

"Z is the first letter of the author's last name. Oh, it is all the way in the back of the library, top floor, last shelf."

"You know what's also on the top floor of a library near the last shelf?" he asked as we walked to the back of the library.

"No, what?" I asked looking at each shelf I passed.

"I'll show you when we get there." He said, I just ignored it as what ever it was, was not as important at this.

"Ah, here it is, Z." I said when we made it to the shelves. "Now what else is here you need to show me?" I asked. He took my hand and led me to the back wall, leaning me up against it and kissed me. "Draco, the books!"

"They are dusty, a little action might liven them up." He said trailing kisses down my neck, I sighed and kissed him back. When in France.

"Ok, can we please finish this later? I can hear your stomach grumbling and I don't want to hold this book anymore." I said and he took the book from my hand and put it on the shelf next to us while still kissing me. The second the book touched the shelf a light projected out from it.

Surprised we both jumped back, hitting the shelf across the aisle and aimed our wands at the light.

"What the bloody hell." Draco exclaimed as the light grew dim. He went over and picked it up causing the light to disappear completely. "Ahhh!" he dropped the book suddenly and grabbed his wrist.

"What's wrong?" I asked taking a hold of his hand and lifting it off his wrist. His Dark Mark had grown darker and was slightly pulsing. "Ok I am putting this away and we are leaving immediately." I said quickly. I picked up the book and put it in the correct place on the shelf.

We hurried down the stairs to the lobby, suddenly a woman stood in front of us blocking our exit.

"Excuse me, but we are late for an appointment so if you could excuse us." I said as an excuse, taking Draco's hand.

"Just a moment Madame, this noticed arrived for you. A gentleman dropped it off just a few seconds ago." She said and handed us an envelope.

"Great thanks." Draco said, snatching the envelope and leading us out the door. He tossed it in the bin outside and kept walking, he took me down an alley way and then we apparated. We landed in another alley way.

"Draco, where are we? Why did you throw that away? Did you recognize that woman?" I asked as he lead me out of the alley way.

"We are here." He said as we rounded the corner, it was a cute little café with a plaza out front filled with tables and chairs. "And down there, is Shakespeare and Company, a bookstore for you to spend hours in." He pointed down the street. He looked at me and realized I was yearning for the answers.

"Hermione, I just threw it away because I don't want this to be our lives again, running, hiding, being in pain," he lifted his arm, which had faded once again, "and no I did not recognize her. Today we are eating brunch and I am taking you book shopping and then we are going to have a picnic on the lawn in front of the Eiffel Tower as though we had nothing to worry about."

"But…"

"No, stop. Please, just give me one day and then tomorrow we will get into all the things that are going around in your head ok." He pleaded.

I leaned in and kissed him on his lips, "Ok." I answered.
