I'm only human
By the time the car arrived the damn girl was asleep and it was only 5pm. Sesshomaru wondered, when did he start needing help?
Oh yeah, his father insisted he have someone with him at all times. Speaking of his father, he was calling "Father" He answered.
"Where are you?"
"Bahamas"
"How is my little Kagome?"
"She is not a child father"
"You didn't answer me"
Sesshomaru looked at her "She's human"
"Sesshomaru" His father warned,
"She fell asleep on the job"
"I'm not surprised, she was up at 4am this morning"
"What?" He had not known that,
"Yes, she logged in at 4am, she has been a busy girl"
Sesshomaru sighed,
"I'm actually proud of you son"
Now that was something Sesshomaru didn't hear often "What"
"For hiring her, you're looking after her"
"I needed someone I could trust"
"You do have a trust issue"
"I have women issues"
His father laughed "Then find a girlfriend"
"No thank you"
"So there is nothing between you and Kagome"
"Do not joke father, she is a child"
"Really, a few moments ago you where saying she was not a child"
"I do not have time to argue"
"Your brother is pouting about this"
"I do no care"
"Well make time to come home so he can see her"
"The half breed had plenty of chances to be with her, she is mine now"
The line went silent for a moment
"Father?"
"Yes, sorry, I understand, but it is like you say she is human, and if you two are not going to have a relationship out of work you need to make breaks to let her come home, she needs people in her life other than you"
Sesshomaru narrowed his eyes "Very well father"
"Give her a kiss for me"
Sesshomaru growled and snapped his phone shut, yeah right on that. He looked at her again, silly human, why did they have to sleep so much.
On the other side of the world Sesshomaru's father smiled, perhaps there was hope for them both.
"Kagome"
At the sound of her name she woke up "What, what?" She looked around "We are here, God tell me you didn't let me sleep for an hour"
"No, we just arrived"
"Oh good"
Just then her door opened, Sesshomaru watched as she smiled and took the mans hand. The man was smitten with Kagome he could tell, damn all these humans. Sesshomaru stepped out and while Kagome grabbed bags Sesshomaru narrowed his eyes "Do not flirt with her, she is here for work not for your enjoyment"
The man bowed and quickly ran away,
A breeze hit Kagome and she closed her eyes and let the sea air hit her "I love the smell of the air here"
Sesshomaru raised an eyebrow "You like the smell of sea water?"
"Don't you?"
"No, it's to salty"
"Most people find it calming"
"Demons do not"
Now it was her turn to look at him confused,
"Lets go in, dinner is at 7, correct?"
"Oh yes, right"
They walked in and of course she fell in love, she looked like a kid in a candy store. It had a Tiki Island feel with a big indoor waterfall. He would never understand her love of waterfalls.
"Ah Master Sesshomaru!" A skinny dark skin man ran up with a bright floral top "We are so happy you a here and don't worry we have you away from the sea-side this time"
The mans eyes slanted to Kagome and he bowed "Hello, you must be Kagome"
"Mm, yes" She bowed "Um, where is my room?"
"Near his as requested by you"
Sesshomaru saw her hope vanish "Move us to a sea-side room, we are only here for 3 days, perhaps it will improve your work"
Kagome smiled "You don't have to join me, you can keep your room"
"I have to keep an eye on you"
"I'm not a child"
"No, you're not, your human"
With that he walked away and she didn't know if she should feel insulted, or not.
