And I crash and I break down

Fish was served at dinner, and Kagome was not a big fish eater as Sesshomaru picked up. She picked at her food as he drank.

"Sesshomaru"

He didn't correct her,

"Can I ask, about what you do, I mean we travel but you never leave the hotels?"

"Why ask now?"

"I just want to know"

"Have you never asked my father what it is we do"

"I know yall have many branches"

"We own land"

"I know"

"The places we visit miko is leased on our land"

"Oh, so you just come to see, inspect?"

"I come to see if we should remove them from our land"

"Oh, so, is that what Inuyasha does to?"

"No, he is to childish to handle such a job, my father buys the land, Inuyasha takes applications from people wanting to lease the land and I oversee the rest"

"Wow"

"That is not all we do"

"I dont wanna know" She drank her water,

"No you dont and I would not tell you"

The bar was half open and closed, so Kagome could hear the crashing waves and in the middle of dinner she pulled out their black book, it looked like she had time tonight and a small bit of time during the day to soak up some of the beach, she smiled and he didn't want to know why.

"Other than viewing the place, you dont have much tomorrow"

The waiter took their finished food.

"Making plans miko?"

She blushed "Maybe small ones"

"You are to tell me"

"Oh, well, I really just wanted to see the Island a little bit"

Sesshomaru paid with company credit card "Keep the tab open, I will visiting the bar later" He told the man who took it and bowed. "Ill be here if you need me, stay close and do not wander far"

Kagome stood "Yes father"

"Do not"

She giggled and ran away with a wave.

He will kill her if she called him that again.

Kagome visited the small gift shop, she needed a suit and a beach dress, of course everything in here was sexy.

She settled on a white two piece that that wrapped around the boobs, around the neck the criss crossed down to the bottoms, it was attached but it was the only one showing less skin and that was not saying much, it was pretty much a backless suit.

She found a white sun dress to go with it, paid went to her room, changed and went out to the dark beach that was only lit up by tiki torches.

She found a chair and sat down, finally time to relax, they should at least enjoy the places they go damn it. She watched the dark waves crash down and the smell of the air, gosh, she could fall asleep right here. Kagome took off her dress and stepped into the cool water, just in case she didn't get a chance to later. She would not go past her ankles in the dark.

Sesshomaru drank and looked out to the dark beach to see if he could see her. He found her, and she was wearing almost nothing, he had to double take just to make sure it was her "Stupid woman"

Sesshomaru stood up only to be stopped by the bar hop "Sir, you may want to see this" The man handed him a paper, and on the front was his stupid brother and his stupid girlfriend and Sesshomaru didn't like the title.

He crumbled the paper in his hand and made his way out to the beach, man he hated sand, why did people like islands so much.

He walked closer to her as she kicked up some water with her back to him, he stopped and watched her for a moment, she was something he never really could figure out.

"Kagome"

Kagome stopped and turned, her hair waved in the wind, she had not worn it down much "Something wrong?"

"Come here"

She walked up to him confused. He looked her up and down and slipped a finger under the swim suit by her neck "What is this?"

"Um, they call it a swim suit"

"It looks like underwear"

She blushed "It was the most modest one they had!" She snapped "And what kind woman wears this kind of thing as underwear?" She asked before she thought about it.

"Not you miko" He moved his hand,

"I dont wear underwear thank you" She said, again, before thinking about it.

He raised an eyebrow and she covered her mouth for a second "You will forget I just said that and you will not tell anyone!"

Like hell he would forget that but he would not tell anyone.

"Never mind, I have come to tell you something"

She moved past him and put her dress back on "Oh yeah, what"

"It's about Inuyasha"

She turned "Is he ok?"

"Fine, it has to do with Kikyo"

"Oh?" She said slowly,

Sesshomaru handed her the paper and she took it.

He had to admit, she did good, she didn't cry, she didn't get angry, but her heart did stop for a split second, he knew. Kagome handed him the paper back "I told you Kikyo would be the daughter in law"

"You are not angry that it's not you?"

"I feel bad for your dad, it would not surprise me if he has another son hiding some place"

"Impossible"

"It was a joke" She gathered her things "I'm going up, dont stay out to late"

Was she kidding?

But she walked off, leaving him alone.

One in her room, behind the door, Kagome slid down. She knew it was going to happen, she did, but what broke her heart the most was that she would not be a part of their family, as soon as Inuyasha asked Kikyo that went out the door. She loved that family and hoped to be a part of it, but one day Sesshomaru would marry to, and there would be no room left for her.

On the floor of one of the most romantic places on earth, Kagome broke down, she wanted to go home, she wanted to hug Inu Papa.
