And here's the second chapter. Like most of my chapters it is mostly comedy that is building to a battle that's both scary and funny at the same time. I finished this chapter by 10:30 PM. Please read and review.

Ian and Ali followed Spirit to the entrance of Lord Death's office. It was ten minutes of utter silence. It seemed like Spirit wanted to talk to Ali but every time he looked at her she seemed enraged with him. Spirit looked so frightened from her angry face he almost flirted with Ian. But Ian was worried about going to Lord Death's office. He didn't know why Lord Death would want him. The gist was Spirit wasn't angry so maybe Lord Death wasn't going to punish him.
Ian and Ali stopped at a giant mirror. Spirit made the incantation and called Death Door to open the entrance to Lord Death's office. Lord Death was at his desk wearing small glasses with bent handles. He was writing with a giant pencil. When Ian and Ali stepped inside he stopped writing and moved to Ian and Ali, Spirit left.
" Welcome Ian and Ali." Lord Death greeted putting his hand on his shoulder and bowing.
" Hello Lord Death." Ian said with his warm smile. Ali just growled and focused on the wall.
" Hello to you too, Ian. Is there something you would like to say, Ali?"
" Yes." Ali said now focusing on Lord Death. She smirked like she was about to say something mean. " Lord Death…you have gained weight."
Lord Death's face/mask turned bright red when he heard that mean thing Ali said. He grew his hand as it hardened into a brick. Lord Death would hit Spirit so hard she would have a big lump in her head. But Ali was a girl and not ignorant or perverted like Black Star or Spirit. Lord Death's mask returned to its pale white color and his arms thinned down.
" When I was told I would be blessed with your presence Ali I thought it was a joke." Lord Death laughed. Ian couldn't tell if he was smiling with that mask but he knew he was angry because he raised his eyebrows. Lord Death raised his finger. " Right now you're wondering why I have called you here, Ian?"
Ian nodded. He was wondering why Lord Death brought him here and he couldn't figure it out. " What's with all the secrecy, Lord Death? Did I do something wrong?" "
Like that Ali had a devious grin on her face and started laughing to herself. " Please tell me he did something wrong and you're going to expel him." Ian was sweating, weeping when he heard Ali say that about him.
" There's no need to feel scared, Ian. I'm not going to expel you." Ian sighed in relief. In Ian's life he knew quitting would make him miss out on cool events and he also believed the Lord brought him here for something great. Lord Death bend his eyebrows and looked at her angrily. " And if I was going to expel him you wouldn't need to hear it."
" Doesn't matter. I would already know." Ali smiled crossing her arms and looking at the wall. " I'm his Weapon for crying out loud."
" It's about your sister, Ian." Lord Death finally said. Ian was shocked.
" Melinda?" Ian asked shaken by this fear she was in trouble.
" Yes. Today I received a call from her saying her village was attacked by werewolves and the undead." Ali thought hearing Lord Death's story. Werewolves and zombies don't usually work together and why would they be in a town where this passive wimp was born? " It is in my best interest to ensure your safe when you're around that you enjoy your school life, get high marks, and keep in touch with your family. That is why you should go to your sister and make sure she is safe."
" You're letting me go home to see my sister?" Ian asked. It was good news because Ian wanted to see Melinda again.
" Not by yourself." Ian looked at Ali. If she went to his hometown than she could kill everyone there with her kunai. " Right now you only have five souls. It's a long way until you can find enough souls to make Ali a Death Scythe, but as long as you don't do something foolish that could take all your souls away you'll make it." Lord Death pulled out a picture book. It was two pictures of two different people close together. Ian recognized them as Soul and Maka, the white haired boy and the straw brown haired girl he thought were boyfriend and girlfriend who also saved him from those evil monsters. " These two were my best students before they accidentally swallowed a cat soul. Their names are Maka and Soul."
" You're allowing me to go home with Maka and Soul?"
" Us." Ali said stepping next to Ian and placing her hand on Ian's shoulder. She scared Ian by how she would present herself in town. Ali saw the sweat dripping from his face from how scared he was and she relished his sight of fear. " Everyone knows you have to take your Weapons whenever there's a mission, genius."
" Is that true?" Ian asked already knowing the answer from the night he tried to get souls for her.
" Ali is not wrong. Meister's and Weapons are most powerful when they're together. You need to hold your Weapon to fight and Weapon's cannot fight without someone to hold them." Everything Lord Death said was true to Ian, but he never saw what Ali looked like when she turned into a weapon. That complicated their relationship. " My son Kid wanted to be the one to go with you—something about seeing how you gathered your symmetry look—but he's on a mission of his own. A special mission I wouldn't give any other student except him."
" Because he's your son?" Ian asked.
" Because Kid has two Weapons and has more knowledge than anyone in this Academy."
" Are we leaving tomorrow?"
" No. You're leaving right now." Lord Death's left arm stretched out and grabbed Ian. Ali made a run for the door but Lord Death's arm stretched farther than she could run and pulled her back to him. " Please forgive me for this."
Lord Death turned them around and pushed them through a dark mirror. Ian and Ali both screamed as Lord Death's image started shrinking the longer they fell. Ian was both scared and happy...this portal no matter how scary it looked or how far the drop was would take him back to his hometown. He would be the hero the lord sent to rid those werewolves and undead from his city.
