He stood with wide eyes, not only because of what she just did but because of what she had said. She liked him, she hated him? It set in after his mind ranted, it registered what she had said.
He growled and took of his shirt and then followed in after her. Kagome swam fast and lucky for her he was not as fast as he was on land.
She heard him jump, she was in deep shit now. She made it to where she could walk and she ran, but so did he.
He snatched her up by the arm fast and yanked her back to him, so that she was facing him.
"What do you think you are doing!" Damn this was a mess.
"Getting away from you!"
"By jumping in the sea, how childish are you"
"How big of a jerk are you! Wait don't answer that I already know, you will never get married, of course you would be happy about that!"
"Neither will you!" He snapped "At least not into this family" He stated calmly.
She stopped struggling "I wanna go home" That stung bad.
"Giving up miko?"
"Giving- what, you fired me asshole!"
"Tell me you hate me again woman and I will not give you what my father asked me to give you"
She eyed him "And what would that be" Was he changing the subject or was this a trick?
"Something you may like, so say it"
She looked away "I want to hate you"
"So you lied this whole time" Had he really heard her right?
She looked at him "About what?"
"You like me, just like all those other woman, I must say you hide it rather well"
She shook her head "Not like those other women, no, I'm not like them, I don't fond over you or swoon" She defended "I wanted to be just Kagome to you, because you talked to me, you trusted me, I didn't want to lose that"
"So you can fake it"
"I had to, but now, you know, so I wanna go home, I don't want to be just another one of those women Sesshomaru" She really wished she had not said anything, she would not be able to look at him the same. Damn it they all knew how she was when she hit the fan, her mouth would always run away with her, she was sure it was a curse.
He looked at her, didn't she know? "Your not" He said soft and his hand went loose on her arm. Kagome relaxed but then he pulled her in and his face got close and then, his lips touched the cheek he had just hit, just for a second before he pulled back and let go.
She touched her cheek "Ok, what was that"
"A kiss from my father, he insisted I give it to you, why, hoping for more?"
"Not on your life" Hell no, she was to afraid of what more could be.
"Don't worry miko, my charm may effect you but yours does not affect me"
"Oh really?"
"Indeed otherwise you would be joining this family"
She blushed heavy "I said I liked you not that I loved you idiot" Vain man.
He smirked "You will"
"I will what"
"Love me"
"What makes you think that, maybe you will love me first"
"I would have to like you first and this Sesshomaru does not love miko"
"Fine, then I will stop liking you and find someone else" She stuck out her tongue. He grabbed her face "Id like to see you try miko, your rehired, I can't miss this, our little Kagome going after a man, woman you don't own a once of sex appeal and that is why you are not like the other woman"
With the her dropped her face and their little game was over, and she was left feeling like the loser.
