Kagome was able to leave the hospital without running into Sesshomaru again thankfully. Of course everyone at the hospital gave this the cold shoulder, but then again that was something he was use to.
Kagome sat in her old room at her mothers and looked at her small laptop, she was trying to talk herself out of looking him up, she really was, but if she wanted to have a upper hand, she needed to know right? Sesshomaru always did say knowledge was power, so with that thought, she did it.
Of course he was still rich and good looking, and smart, damn. But what caught her eye was the recent photo, it was him, with the same girl from the hospital. Kagome sat back in her chair, it was his fiancé. Good to know. She sat straight "It's not like we were ever a couple" She closed the laptop, "I'm not going to let this bother me, I only liked him after all"
She turned and looked at her window, she smiled, remembering Inuyasha, he used to come in at all hours of the night back in school.
"I have to move back, mom needs me, my friends are here, I cant one ass hold me back" She was decided, she could only hope the store front she wanted was still up for lease, it was a month ago when her mom called. It wasn't to late "Now is a good time" It was only 4 oclock.
"I'm going to town mom"
"Ok dear"
She caught a cab and went down to the small downtown area, it had grown "Stop here" She got out and paid the man who then drove off.
She got out and took note of the cupcake shop and the coffee shop which sat on either side of the building she wanted. That would be prefect, but her hope went out the window when the sign said sold. "Oh no" She had waited to late "Maybe it's a sign?"
Just then it started to rain lightly "Yep a sign!"
If things could not get worst she saw a limo pull up in the window reflection "Why don't you just strike me with lighting"
But to her joy it was just Inu papa "Kagome, get in my girl, a storm is coming"
She jumped in and sat in silence but gave him a good smile.
"You should call Sesshomaru he stated a few moments later"
"What, why?" She looked confused "I don't think his future wife would like that"
He laughed,
"Why are you laughing, she is perfect for him, demon and all"
"And what was wrong with you?"
"I'm human"
He laughed again "My girl, do not be afraid"
"I'm not afraid of Sesshomaru"
"I am aware of that, I meant don't let what happened and what is, change you, that was your first issue"
"My issue, your son is a jerk, he hit me by the way" She huffed,
Inutashio turned dark "I was not aware of that Kagome"
"It's ok, ill get him back one day"
"Now that is my Kagome, be who you are, and I don't care what you think or he says, he liked you the way you where"
"It doesn't matter"
"Maybe not, but call him"
"For what reason"
"He bought the shop"
"Of course he did" She snapped,
"Ill treat you to dinner, stay here, I just need to run inside the house for a moment, call me"
Kagome looked at her phone after Inu Papa shut the door, dare she? Yes, why not, she had a good question for him, it wasn't a pleasure call after all.
Sesshomaru was in the middle of crowd of business men and women and he hated it. Just then his personal phone rang, and only a handful of people had his number not even his bride to me had it. When he saw her name he went outside and close the door behind him, he was on a balcony.
"Hn"
"Sesshomaru?" Her voice rang over the line,
"Miko, you called me and yet you ask if it is I?"
"Yeah, um, I with your dad, he informed me that you bought the building, I was wondering, are you going to lease it?"
Oh yeah, her store she wanted so bad, it was the reason he bought it, ball in his court.
"Hn, we did have a deal, and while you did not uphold you part I am willing"
"Look here you" She went silent for a moment to catch her breath, he smirked, "I would like to lease it, will you email me the terms?"
Just then Inu papas voice rang out "Sesshomaru bring the paper work to the hotel, I am taking Kagome to dinner, join us"
He could hear Kagome yelled what, he smirked again, "Very well"
"Oh and Sesshomaru, leave the blushing bride behind"
"With pleasure father"
